A-Kill was a middleweight robot that entered two side events in Series 3 of Robot Wars. It was an army green coloured box-shaped robot with two large outer wheels and actuated serrated spikes on the front and the back powered by car seat motors. A-Kill entered the Series 3 Middleweight Championship, but it was later cancelled due to an accident in the pits. However, the robot did compete in the Middleweight Melee, which was an exhibition battle to replace the cancelled championship, finishing as joint winner with Tentoumushi. The two robots also met in a side battle during the International League Championship, with Tentoumushi coming out on top. The team later entered Series 6 with a heavyweight version of A-Kill, and afterwards, the team entered Series 7 and Extreme 2 with Saw Point.

The robot itself originally started out as a homemade model tank, but was then turned into a robot.

Robot History

Series 3

For the middleweight melee, A-Kill was up against Ripper's Revenge, Grinder, Tentoumushi, and the reigning middleweight champion Hard Cheese. A-Kill moved off rather sluggishly in the Middleweight Melee. It rounded an attack up on Hard Cheese, just as Tentoumushi covered Hard Cheese up. A-Kill backed away and drove off towards Grinder. It then pushed the immobile Grinder into Shunt who axed Grinder's top. A-Kill then remained out of the action as Hard Cheese was skewered by Sir Killalot. A-Kill then pushed Ripper's Revenge, but got caught up with Tentoumushi, as Sir Killalot pushed the latter away and Ripper's Revenge was flipped by the arena spike. The match ended and the judges decided that Tentoumushi and A-Kill were the joint winners of the Middleweight Melee.

The two joint winners also met in the International League Championship's War of Independence battle. A-Kill replaced Hard Cheese in this battle as the producers thought the fight would be fairer if Tentoumushi fought a smaller robot (Tentoumushi was a lightweight). Although it is often billed as a grudge match, the War of Independence fight was actually filmed before the Middleweight Melee, despite being broadcast afterwards. A-Kill was immediately covered up by Tentoumushi and was pushed straight towards the pit, but A-Kill was able to escape Tentomushi's clutches. But A-Kill then drove towards the pit and got stuck, which meant that Tentoumushi was able to simply push it into the pit of oblivion to win for the United States of America.
