Abaddon was a two wheeled robot which exclusively competed in Series 3 of Robot Wars. Abaddon lost to Technophobic in the first round of the heat, its only battle in the entire run of the show.

It was protected by 4mm thick aluminium and armed with upwardly rotating blades (actually taken from an old garden Rotavator) on the front and a spiked tail with hardened-steel chisels at the rear which pivoted relative to the main robot, using a large bowling ball as a wheel. However, this ball had to be removed in its only battle due to it causing the robot to be overweight, and was replaced with a castor.
Etymology[]
The robot was named after the mythological being of the same name, Abaddon being the 'Angel from the Bottomless Pit' and also known as the ruler of Hell before Satan.

Abaddon competed in Heat B of the Third Wars and was placed up against previous heat finalist Technophobic in the first round.
Abaddon does battle with Technophobic
Abaddon is freed by Shunt
At the beginning of the battle, both robots attacked each other head on, Technophobic trying to lift Abaddon using its spike, however it was Abaddon who got in and underneath Technophobic with its blades. After another attack, Technophobic became impaled on the blades of Abaddon until Abaddon released it. Technophobic then charged at the robot and managed to lift Abaddon with its spike, preventing the blades from being effective. After a few more attacks by Technophobic with the lifting spike, Technophobic managed to knock the castor off the rear of Abaddon, damaging their control as Technophobic pushed it onto the Flame Pit.
Abaddon loses its caster
Sir Killalot lifts Abaddon and Technophobic
With the tail trapped on the mesh of the Flame Pit, Shunt and Matilda helped to free Abaddon, who was immediately attacked by Technophobic and carried around the arena. With the robots impaled together, Matilda, Sgt. Bash and Sir Killalot attempted to separate them, eventually succeeding, but the combined efforts of Technophobic and the House Robots caused Abaddon to lose a drive chain, leaving it without drive on one side.
The battle went to the Judges, who went in favour of Technophobic, eliminating Abaddon from the competition.

- At 2.43 metres long, Abaddon is the second longest robot in the classic series of Robot Wars, after Eleven.
- The Abaddon team were the only team in Heat B of Series 3 not to be seen in any other episodes.
