Anorakaphobia was a one-time competitor in the third series of Robot Wars. It was a very fast robot, one of the fastest in the wars. It was a long, curved, black and yellow wedge, with a hammer as its weapon, and with two chainsaw chains that travelled alongside the weapon that were designed to entangle opponents and drag them up and over its body. The hammer also moved at an incredibly fast rate, and was designed to flip opponents over once they had been pulled further up over the body. The unique design earned Anorakaphobia a nomination for the Best Design Award, but it missed out to Razer.

Anorakaphobia also attempted to qualify for Series 4, but lost to Dantomkia 1.0 after a long and boring battle, which ultimately resulted in neither robot qualifing (despite the latter having a second, more interesting qualifier later).

Robot History

Series 3

In Round 1 of Series 3, Anorakaphobia faced Miss Ile. Anorakaphobia drove up Miss Ile's scoop, pushing it onto the flame pit. Anorakophobia started to use its extremely speedy hammer, and Miss Ile lost its other eye. Anorakaphobia pushed Miss Ile and used its hammer, before pushing it into the pit. In the second round, Anorakaphobia fought experience in The Big Cheese. Both robots had a slow start, with Anorakaphobia carefully avoiding The Big Cheese's lifting arm, so The Big Cheese could not get under it. Eventually Anorakaphobia's axe became trapped between The Big Cheese's lifting arm and wedge, and was put into the pit by The Big Cheese, eliminating it from ther competition.
