Bangalore Bertie was a competitor robot that attempted to enter Series 5 of Robot Wars, but failed to qualify.
Design[]
Bangalore Bertie was a box-shaped robot with a front wedge. The robot's chassis was painted gold, with the wedge painted black with lips painted on the front.
Qualification[]
Bangalore Bertie attended the Manchester leg of the 2001 Live Event tour, acting as the initial qualifiers for Series 5. After presumably winning its first battle in its qualification bracket, it would face horizontal spinner T-Bone in the 'final'.

Very limited information is available, though Bangalore Bertie was severely damaged by T-Bone's disc, to the extent that it was 'stopped' partway through the fight. T-Bone was quickly declared the winner, taking both the '2001 North West Championship' and an automatic place in The Fifth Wars. Bangalore Bertie, however, failed to qualify and would never appear on the show.[1]
