Bernard was a robot that was entered into Featherweight Championships of Extreme 2 and Series 7. It was a wedge shaped robot with a small circular saw on it, but often attacked by 'spinning madly', as Jonathan Pearce put it. Bernard was one of the most successful featherweights, as it performed well in both series it competed in, reaching the final each time.

Bernard began by activating the pit. It, Argh! and Katnip spent most of the heat attacking the large walker Neoteric. Team Roaming Robots' machine was still able to knock out both AM CVn and Gi-Ant-O. However, the persistence of the three machines eventually paid off, and Neoteric was immobilised shortly before the end. As Eddy Evolution had earlier driven into the pit, Bernard progressed through along with Argh! and Katnip.

In the final, Bernard began by spinning and attacking Argh!, before continuing to spin and attacking Gladiator. It then attacked Argh! again as it pitted Katnip. After clashing with Gladiator, Bernard was almost shoved into the pit by Argh!. It remained there until the end of the battle and Argh! was declared the winner.

Series 7

Bernard returned for Series 7, again facing Cutlet. DTK flipped Bernard straight away before the Tenbury machine attacked Staglet. Bernard then attacked Mammoth, and DTK also attacked the walker. It then attacked Cutlet, who tried and failed to flip it. DTK then started finishing off robots, eliminating Cutlet, Typhoon Cadet and Mammoth in short succession. Bernard then mounted DTK and continued to attack it and Alienator. As Sir Killalot put Mammoth into the pit, Bernard attacked him from behind in an attempt to push him into the pit. Cease was called and the judges decided that Bernard had done enough to qualify for the final again.

Bernard was the only one of the finalists from Extreme 2 to qualify for the final again. It began by straight away opening the pit before nearly driving into it. It returned to the battle scene and attacked Prince of Awe and Rampage 2. DTK and Rip both flipped Bernard, before Team Roaming Robots' machine lined it up to try and get it out of the arena but failed. Rip got Bernard off the wall and almost pitted it, but didn't manage to. It thern flipped Bernard several more times into a CPZ. Prince of Awe and DTK both flipped Bernard, as Rip suddenly drove into the pit. DTK then clamped down on Bernard with its flipper, carried it over to the pit and dropped it in.
