Coffin-Bot was a Loanerbot which competed in the first season of Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors. It competed in the US Championship under Team Sylvan Lake Robot Warriors (builders of Joker) as Skullmania had to pull out of the competition with irreparable technical difficulties, but didn't advance past the first round.

Design

As its name suggested, Coffin-Bot was shaped like a coffin, made of wood and was armed with a horizontal spinning disc, making it resemble Fluffy, and the Series 6 and 7 version of British competitor Disc-O-Inferno. The robot was two-wheel driven, but its armour proved vulnerable.

Robot History

Season 1

Coffin-Bot entered the US Championship as a reserve entry. However, after Skullmania withdrew, it was called into action and faced Bot-Ugly, Sobek, The Revolutionist, Tricerabot and Unibite.

Coffin-Bot is grabbed by Sgt. Bash

Coffin-Bot clashed with Unibite early in the battle, before pushing The Revolutionist. The Revolutionist retaliated by pushing Coffin-Bot across the arena and into a CPZ, where it struggled with its manoeuvrability. Sgt. Bash gripped Coffin-Bot, however Coffin-Bot hung on until the end of the fight for the judges' decision.

The judges' decision went in favour of The Revolutionist, and Coffin-Bot was eliminated from the competition.

• Team Sylvan Lake Robot Warriors were the only team in Extreme Warriors Season 1 to drive two Loanerbots as they drove Humdrum in the Extreme Warriors: Season 1/War of Independence and Extreme Warriors: Season 1/Tag Team Terror under the name Joker as their original robot was described as being 'lost at sea'.^Citation?
