Cruncher was a robot that failed to qualify for Series 6 and 7 of Robot Wars. The robot was an invertible, four-wheeled, box shaped robot, armed with a set of very large pincers at the front, that proved very unreliable and unstable, and remained almost useless at live events after the show ended. The original Cruncher failed to qualify for Series 6, and returned for the Seventh Wars virtually unchanged, when it was renamed Cruncher 2, and failed to qualify agian.
The team had previously competed with Wharthog in Series 1 and 2, and Crusher in Series 3, who between them didn't win a single battle or exceed the first round of any competition.
Cruncher 2 fought in a few live events since Robot Wars ended with little to no success before later retiring from combat all together.
