Dominator 2 is a British heavyweight robot, that competed from the fourth series of Robot Wars, until the sixth series, reaching the second round of the semi-finals on all three occasions, before dropping out of the final series of Robot Wars. Previously, the team entered the Pinball competition with Dominator, finishing runner up behind Razer. Dominator appears as a competitor robot in the Game Boy Advance game Robot Wars: Advanced Destruction, its first of three video game appearances, it would go on to appear in both versions of Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction.
Appearance and ArmamentEdit
Dominator is easily recognisable as its real life compatriot, due to its unique bi-wedge shape and axe mechanism, as well as the gold colour of the robot. Due to graphical limitations, the golden flame decals present on the robot are missing for this game.
Dominator uses its powerful axe that debuted in The Fourth Wars, the series the game is built around. Dominator can be recognised in its Series 4 guise as the wheels are visible and are unprotected, Dominator would return with wheel guards for later series.
The axe of Dominator, whilst not as fast as the weapon on Mortis, is as powerful, so is a good weapon to cause quick damage. Dominator can also hold its own as a pusher, a useful backup tactic.
Unusually for wedges on this game, Dominator is quite vulnerable to being flipped, so the best tactic when fighting it is to repeatedly flip it, until it breaks down.
Differences between the Game and Real LifeEdit
- Flame decals are missing from the sides
- The axe fires slower than real life
