Tornado, like many other notable robots in Robot Wars, was made into a pullback toy. It was one of the last competitor robots to have a pullback toy released, along with Dantomkia.

The Tornado toy ran freely on its four soft tyres, of which two were powered by a pullback motor. The Tornado toy could run inverted even though the underside is not exactly the same as the top. By default, the Tornado toy would be equipped with its spinning drum, which would rotate by the movement of the front wheels. This could be covered up by a curved static scoop, a reference to its "charity scoop" from the TV series, although different in design.

Although the pullback was released after Series 6 had aired, the pullback more closely resembles the Series 5 and Extreme Series 1 version of Tornado, with its shorter side panels adorned with the cow mascot, while lacking the small wedges added to the Series 6 machine.

Accessories

The Tornado pullback had an attachable scoop that came packaged along with it. This was useful for getting under other pullbacks. It also came with a spinning item (much like the Disc of Doom) which pullbacks could ride on and spin off in a different direction.

Differences from real life

• Tornado's interchangeable scoop is more like a shovel shaped one than the wedge shaped ones on the actual Tornado.
• Tornado does not work upside down as well as it could in the show.
• Tornado is black and red underneath, unlike its real life counterpart.

Trivia

• The drum disc weaponry moves on the pullback toy compared to its minibot counterpart.
• The action toy was released along with Dantomkia, Mr. Psycho and Growler toys.
  • As a result, Tornado was one of the few pullbacks whose name was not included with the battleboard packaged alongside the Refbot pullback.
