#::Ok, Diotoir to have its link knocked out in the first impact between the 2. Behemoth would've been in the grand final itself but got kicked out for BS reasons whilst Diotoir has managed to reach the play-off, the 5th fight in a row it shouldn't have been in, so course I'm going to keep kicking Diotoir's cheating ass deeper into the grave it fell into whilst fighting Behemoth. Votes for Typhoon 2
  1. Hullo, SpaceManiac888 here. I am currently going to be updating these pages as an IP at my university, because I am waiting for internet access at my new house. Anyhow, I feel Typhoon 2 would take out Diotoir in much the same way I assumed Corkscrew would; that is, dodge the narrow disc and attack the wheelguards, which should eventually break off. After that, Typhoon 2 can simply hit one of the wheels, tearing it to shreds and causing Jonathan Pearce to say his now famous statement. 139.222.6.213 10:19, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  2. Typhoon 2 was always good at evading opponents at the start, and then hitting them in the right place. Even when its weapon failed it stayed out of the way long enough for Bigger Brother to finish the others off. If the weapons collide, Typhoon will have got up to speed by then, and won't be turned over. But the weapons won't collide, because Typhoon will have gone around the back of Diotoir and ripped a wheel or two off by then. Jimlaad43(talk) 12:01, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  3. OK, I can just about buy the argument for Diotoir beating the somewhat top heavy and unstable Corkscrew, but Typhoon 2 has neither of those faults. I say Typhoon 2 wins this reasonably comfortably. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:41, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  4. I deeply regret my Meggamouse vote last round, I wasn't confident and well I must admit I really should have changed it! Here though, though I don't think the spinner is as damaging to modern robots, I did argue that Corkscrew could damage the weapon belt and the exposed tires at the back, so... (Of course regardless of result, I already know who I'm voting for in the final).Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 18:12, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  5. I have doubts that Diotoir will be able to withstand Typhoon for the duration of the match and while it might deal a BIT of damage, I feel Typhoon will inevitably KO it. BizarroKing (talk) 21:53, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  6. Diotoir to finally lose, four fights too late. Behemoth would win here but Diotoir doesn't stand a chance. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:57, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  7. The journey ends here for Diotoir in my eyes. Typhoon 2 has the extra control, manevrability, stability and improved spin-up time compared to Corkscrew, and could well avoid its vertical spinner in a similar fashion to the X-Terminator fight. It may even take out the weapon belt. Raz3r(talk) 22:17, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  8. So, here's a thought...wouldn't Diotoir's fur being torn off by Typhoon 2 still count as minor damage points in Typhoon's favour? All I'm seeing is Typhoon having a much wider attack radius to work with than Diotoir. CrashBash (talk) 05:29, September 13, 2018 (UTC)
Votes for Diotoir
  1. This really isn't clear cut, it's yet another contentious Diotoir fight. Typhoon 2 boasts the greater reliability, range of attack, and better protection for its wheels. Three solid points, and potentially enough for a victory. Diotoir boasts three of its own; greater weapon power, greater armour, and the ability to run inverted. Given that Diotoir also has a weapon capable of flipping Typhoon 2 over, I think that's a stronger deck of cards, and I'll gamble on Diotoir. As a side note Space, I logged into my wiki account at university all the time and never had any privacy issues, I recommend you do the same. TOAST 11:05, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  2. Typhoon 2 was expertly driven, but the reboot arena doesn't allow for those long vertical drives that Gary Cairns carried out back in the day. Against another spinner and with less random to move in straight lines, I think Diotoir will catch it out and take advantage. NJGW (talk) 19:11, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
Winner: Typhoon 2 (8-2)

Votes for Big Nipper
  1. Well, Barber-Ous 2'n a Bit has had an almost perfect run, with everyone except Jimlaad believing that it deserved to reach this stage (Why Jimlaad, why? :P). Alas, even I must now vote against it, as although Big Nipper is probably the only machine at this stage it could beat, I think the Series 10 machine is durable enough to withstand the blows from the demon barber. After all, if it could survive a blow from Matilda and remain active while being on fire, I think Big Nipper will be capable of tanking the blows. Then, there is the matter of Big Nipper being an excellent control bot, who will probably tackle Barber-Ous 2'n a Bit's weakness of low pushing power to its advantage, ultimately (of course) pitting its opponent. Regardless of who wins or loses, Barber-Ous 2'n a Bit is going to have a PAINFUL last battle in this tournament. But who will it face? 139.222.6.213 10:19, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
On another note, a correlation that all the robots Barber-Ous 2'n a Bit has beaten in this tournament share is that they are all flippers. It makes me wonder, is the demon barber one of the best robots in tackling certain flippers? I mean, classic era machines like Bigger Brother, Gravity and Series 7 Spawn Again would be too much for it, but Dantomkia, Thermidor 2... and even Firestorm 5 I think would lose to it. 139.222.6.213 10:19, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  2. Big Nipper has had a curious run. From the moment it was bolded, I would've put money on it reaching the Grand Final, but it had a few near-escapes in its heat, almost losing to Gravity where, indeed, I turned against it. Nuts 2 also worried it in the Heat Final, but since then, it's been plain sailing on a unanimous crusade to the Top 2. Not such a bad thing when this would've been Nuts 2 anyway, had that fought Gravity in the Heat Final, but certainly Barber-Ous II'n a Bit puts up no opposition here. TOAST 11:05, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  3. If you'd have read my reasons for voting against Barber-Ous, you'd know why I voted against it xD. Anyway, Big Nipper won't be taking much damage from Barber-Ous here at all, and the claws can be used around the side to grab hold of the wheels. Big Nipper is also going to outlast Barber-Ous anyway, as it is so perceptible to being knocked out with a big hit, even one it causes. A good hit on Big Nipper could catapult away the silver bot and KO Barber-Ous, leaving BN to come back and pit it. Jimlaad43(talk) 12:04, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  4. Well this is an easy decision, can't really say anything that hasn't bee said. Interesting final though! (Depending on who wins the other match) Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 18:05, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  5. Yeah, Big Nipper is solid enough to withstand Barber-Ous long enough for something to go wrong and it to stop working. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:43, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  6. Oh, this is a shame of an ending for Barber-Ous, but it's sadly inevitable. NJGW (talk) 19:11, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  7. I love you Barber-Ous but I feel as though Big Nipper will grip and pit. BizarroKing (talk) 21:53, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  8. Barber-Ous has had the easiest run to the final, but the easy fights had to run out eventually, and it was doomed no matter who it faced in my opinion. Big Nipper to display the necessary control, pushing ability and strength to overcome the barber pole. Pity, I'd be tempted to vote for Ripper here. Raz3r(talk) 22:22, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  9. I'd like to think my opinions on Big Nipper are fairly clear, and I certainly think it has the advantage here. It should be able to tank whatever Barber-Ous throws at it and dish it back out. Good thing for Barber-Ous that Big Nipper is only using its claws. CrashBash (talk) 05:26, September 13, 2018 (UTC)

From the Vault: Dantomkia vs Atomic

And for the final From the Vault battle, why not showcase a fight to determine who would face Bigger Brother in the Grand Final?

Dantomkia Atomic
DantomkiaS7
AtomicHQ
Votes for Dantomkia Votes for Atomic
  1. Although I do not trust Atomic's self-righting abilities, I think it will generally be OK against Dantomkia. After all, I think it generally has the lower ground clearance, especially when considering that Dantomkia's side has been exploited by Rick's flipper before, while its wedge was bested by Gravity. Countless flips to occur in this battle, but Atomic should perform an out of the arena or achieve a knockout flip due to Dantomkia running out of flips. 94.119.96.0 10:13, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
  2. In flipper wars, Dantomkia was only really bested by more powerful flippers in the preboot. Atomic is certainly more powerful than Dantomkia, and will survive being flipped itself to get on top of Dantomkia and eventually get the killer flip. Jimlaad43(talk) 12:00, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
  3. Atomic is the quicker robot, has the better ground clearance and better overall reliability. Hogwild94 (talk) 18:02, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
  4. Dantomkia's long, wide cones against a precise, steep wedge are recipes for Dantomkia disaster. NJGW (talk) 18:23, September 14, 2018 (UTC)

Diotoir vs Barber-Ous 2'n a Bit

Both robots have done exceptionally well by reaching this stage, but alas they fell short of the final two. Both, however, seek to prove themselves worthy of the bronze medal spot? Which one will take the final podium position?

Votes for Diotoir
  1. Anticlimatic end for both robots, as Diotoir will win this with a single blow. Nice to see both machines make it this far, in particular Barber-Ous 2'n a Bit, who can rest easily (well, as easily as resting in pieces is), knowing it overachieved considerably in this tournament. Speaking of which, has this been Diotoir's most successful tournament on the arena forums? 94.119.96.0 10:13, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
  2. The only real question is, are we looking at WAR Hawk vs Axe Backwards speed, or Monsoon vs Axe Backwards speed? It certainly won't last any longer. TOAST 10:42, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
  3. Diotoir's spinner will tear the plastic apart quite badly. Jimlaad43(talk) 11:43, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
  4. Better spinner and it's against "plastic" :P Pretty obvious what was gonna happen here. The final on teh other hand will be interesting...Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 12:01, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
  5. If Barber-Ous had more reliable armour itself, I'd vote for it. Ironic that Diotoir is actually the better armoured robot here. Hogwild94 (talk) 18:01, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
  6. Diotoir won't even need to be at half speed to take this. NJGW (talk) 18:24, September 14, 2018 (UTC)

Grand Final

Typhoon 2 vs Big Nipper

And so, the final battle. Countless robots attempted to qualify for A Fantasy Audited War 3. 128 did, competing in entertaining and close battles throughout. There have been surprises throughout, with Bigger Brother and Spawn Again failing to qualify, Atomic and Hypno-Disc being dumped out in Round 1, Scrap-2-Saur making the semi-finals and Barber-Ous 2'n a Bit shocking everyone by reaching the Grand Final. Now, only two remain; will Big Nipper win the title at its second attempt? Or will Typhoon 2 gain the crown in its debut series?

Votes for Typhoon 2
  1. This is a very curious 50/50 matchup, albeit somewhat of a "what did you expect when you bolded these robots, of course they'd make the final" scenario. The reason this is tough is because neither robot can really harm the other machine barring any very precise shots. Typhoon 2 will not cause damage of any significance to the titanium armour which tanked Carbide like a champ, but Big Nipper will also probably lose possession of the slippery Typhoon 2 while trying to overturn it. There is the mild possibility of Big Nipper stabbing Typhoon 2 to death like Kan-Opener did, but I can't see them running in with their claws anywhere other than ground level. The arena could be Typhoon 2's downfall. Between the pit, rogue House Robots, the instant-knockout floor flipper and even the spikes, Typhoon 2 has much less room to run away, so a fully aggressive Big Nipper should be able to lure it into an area where Typhoon 2 could fall, or at least flip it beside the wall. What makes me cautious is the fact that Big Nipper was unbelievably tentative in its fights with Eruption, Dantomkia and TR2 so I wouldn't put it past Team Titanium to make no efforts in trying to win this, and the few sparks generated by Typhoon 2 upon impact might earn it one or two damage points alongside a clear win on aggression and control. It's a sad reason to turn against Big Nipper, but they just had so many occasions where they blatantly didn't attack when faced with a powerful foe, and Typhoon 2 certainly qualifies. One final mild possibility - could Typhoon 2 hit Big Nipper's ground-level wheels? I'll look forward to the outcome of this one! TOAST 10:51, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
  2. This is exactly what you want for a Grand Final. A battle between two completely different robots that have never fought, therefore allowing for debate, especially as there are multiple valid reasons for both to win. I just can't see Big Nipper's claws staying unbent long enough to get Typhoon lifted up. The claws have to be on the floor, and to get close, they'll get hit by the spinner and bounce away, likely bending them. With the claws rendered useless, Big Nipper will be reduced to trying to push, which is quite tricky on a full-body spinner. I just don't quite see Big Nipper with the claws as the right robot to stop Typhoon 2. With the disc however... Jimlaad43(talk) 11:54, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
  3. This really is a cracking final match up. Really, either robot could win this theoretically. But the most plausible outcome as I see it: Typhoon 2 will be able to deflect Big Nipper sufficiently, no matter how low it goes. And the spinner will likely prevent it from getting meaningfully flipped. And I can't see Big Nipper being able to grab it properly either as a result. The claws may get slightly bent up as a result. It'll likely go all the way to the judges, but Typhoon has it I reckon. A great final battle, but that is how I see it playing out. Hogwild94 (talk) 18:09, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
Votes for Big Nipper
  1. An interesting final battle, which would not have occurred if I was the sole voter; in fact, both would be out in the second round! Anyhow, like with many Typhoon 2 vs flipper/lifter battles, the flipper can only win if it closes the gap in time, disrupts Typhoon 2's rhythm before overturning it for the victory. Big Nipper has the durability on its side, considering that it managed to keep working in spite of a Matilda hit causing it to catch. This, combined with Big Nipper's decent control, should see it charge in, absorb the first blow before using its lifter to control Typhoon 2's movement, eventually overturning it. In the classic arena, this may take some time; however, in the reboot arena, there is less space for Typhoon 2 to spend time spinning up, so Big Nipper should generally find achieving a knockout lift easier. 94.119.96.0 10:13, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
  2. Now this is a GRAND FINAL! Both robots will be slugging it out, both fast and aggressive and both with weapons that can't really damage each other. This is perhaps one of the greatest match ups we've ever had and entirely worthy. Really, both should be winners BUT obviously only one can win and that winner is in my eyes the one robot I had bolded, Big Nipper. Not only has it impressed during the live events but also it has survived against much worst and deadlier spinners (Carbide, Sabretooth, Matilda and Aftershock) so yeah Typhoon's weapon is completely useless in this match, but Big Nipper's lifter/claw is not. The claw can easily slip under Typhoon as it did against Grim Reaper, Apollo and even Eruption (see 10 way) who have low or even lower ground clearances. Could Big Nipper lift Typhoon up and over? It's possible but unlikely to happen due to the shape/weapon. That said, this isn't Series 7, damage isn't the bigger factor and there's certainly no corruption going on this time, it's the modern arena with modern rules. Therefore the more lifts and aggressive slams will inevitably go in Big Nipper favour. Think Tauron vs Androne 4000 for example, in the classic era it probably would go in Tauron's favour, but now it's looked at more closely and is judged by action and precision, which Big Nipper will do.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 12:11, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
  3. Well, if Big Nipper can keep going after being struck by the likes of Aftershock, it can keep going against Typhoon, who I couldn't help but notice wasn't always that good at keeping up to speed if put under pressure, as seen against Storm 2. CrashBash (talk) 18:01, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
  4. As aforementioned, Typhoon 2 has less viability for its long, vertical drives in this arena. Big Nipper will narrow down the angles, and if it gets underneath Typhoon 2 even once, then it will complete the lift because its claws have such a higher peak lift than Storm 2's pusher lifter. I honestly think this could be over very quickly. Typhoon 2 still takes a good few seconds to get up to a solid speed. NJGW (talk) 18:21, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
