Welcome back to the penultimate heat of A Fantasy Audited War 3! Bigger Brother shocked the robot combat community when it failed to qualify for this series, having been champion of A Fantasy Audited War 1. But no matter, because Team Big Brother successfully qualified with The Swarm! It, along with 6 Million Dollar Mouse and Destructive Criticism, are the last robots to have qualified through the play-offs. Will they prove themselves worthy to be here? To find out, we must LET THE WARS BEGIN!

#Bulldog Breed need not fear their opponents. Blenda is basically a damaging weapon that just recoils massively, making every hit almost as bad for it as to the opponent. #What can Bulldog Breed do? Well, it can chuck around three of the four robots with considerable ease and little threat, and they all have issues with being flipped over except Blenda. Duck doesn't have the gas, the other two are pitiful and Blenda is more likely to kill itself than Bulldog Breed imo. #You know, I was originally going to give this to 6 Million Dollar Mouse, because I was impressed on how tough it was. Then I realised that its lawnmower blade, although capable of causing some damage to Sobek, is a little too fragile against a disc like Destructive Criticism's. With the blade bent, 6 Million Dollar Mouse will be helpless against further blows from Destructive Criticism, although it will survive to the end to a judges' decision loss. #I'll be different. Even if we weren't assuming Destructive Criticism could survive the flips, it'll definitely get a chance to attack the wheels in my mind. Reducing the mobility on a machine as cumbersome as WBC is to start with, and I think it's only a matter of time before it dies. Destructive Criticism can be a pest towards the wheels and I'll back it to avoid the flipper. #Yep, sorry about this. I have only JUST realised that both Jimlaad and Diotoir voted in Wheely Big Cheese, meaning it should have automatically qualified. Mind you, this is actually perfect timing, because 6 Million Dollar Mouse was the robot that featured on the bottom of the robots that qualified through Random.org. Anyhow, Destructive Criticism's disc is not on par with Hypno-Disc's, but it is notably more agile. However, I am ultimately going to vote for Wheely Big Cheese here, because I feel the American machine's high ground clearance can be exploited by the cheese's wedge, resulting in a powerful flip on it. The problem with Destructive Criticism is that its disc was never the most reliable, with its weapon chain breaking a couple of times. Could a flip from Wheely Big Cheese do the same damage? I think so, enabling Wheely Big Cheese to control the battle from there. #Can we please further specify this as "Wheely Big Cheese (5, Heats)" please, as it makes us actually vote for the strong and reliable version, not the disaster that followed in the Semis or Extreme 1. Both robots can pretty much OHKO the other, but Wheely needs to be the aggressor and it won't struggle. If it goes in flipper first to the disk, the spinner will likely bounce off and allow Wheely underneath. Repeated hits against the floor will damage DC internally and keep Wheely's wheels away from the damage. #Now, Bulldog Breed was not actually the robot I was thinking would beat Typhoon 2 in this heat; it was actually The Swarm! Nonetheless, the more I think about it, the more I actually believe that Bulldog Breed can genuinely achieve the upset. To understand my vote, I will reference several battles both opponents have been in. Let's take a look at Bulldog Breed first; when it comes to facing spinners, from uncompetitive opponents like Spin Doctor, to nightmares such as Hypno-Disc, it immediately charges in and attempts to flip its opponent, almost always succeeding. This is extremely important when facing Typhoon 2, because a flipper needs to disrupt Typhoon 2's rythmn before going in for the kill, which I can see Bulldog Breed achieving. Another reason for this is because of Bulldog Breed's wedge; notably, when compared to other flippers like Iron-Awe 2.1 and Thermidor 2, Bulldog Breed has a wide wedge and a large flipper. This helps both in terms of defence and offence, seeing as I believe the wedge should be capable of stopping Typhoon 2 in its tracks, similar to how Atomic's massive flipper achieved this. These attributes that Bulldog Breed has may enable it to beat the full-body spinner, by utilising good control and speed to close the gap as early as possible, before using its wedge to prevent Typhoon 2 from reaching its top speed. From there, a flip of doom is possible, providing Bulldog Breed a chance where in most cases a spinner would damage it internally. <span style="color:#B7410E">SpaceManiac888</span> <span style="color:#228B22">(Talk)</span> 19:01, September 2, 2018 (UTC)

#Though the Full body spinners that Bulldog Breed faced before were not as powerful or as good as Typhoon it still should be noted how quick the dog rammed them and chucked them over immediately. Typhoon, as do many FBS need to spin up to speed which requires them running away for the first half of a match, Bulldog Breed should be quick and aggressive enough to flip it, this could ether knock it out or hinder the spin up time which would also stop the robot in its track meaning it will need to run away by which point the pooch will attack again.<font color="red">Diotoir</font><font color="black"> the</font><font color="red"> son</font><font color="black"> of</font><font color="red"> nemesis</font> (talk) 19:11, September 2, 2018 (UTC)

#Nah, Typhoon 2 has beaten better flippers than Bulldog Breed before this. Besides, its main form of attack is to run away at first to get up to speed so that by the time an attack come in, it will be quick enough to just deflect away. Bulldog Breed we know is vulnerable to powerful spinners, I see Typhoon 2, just about, holding out long enough to immobilise it. Hogwild94 (talk) 19:11, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
  +
#Typhoon 2 has this easily. Atomic couldn't flip it over, and Bulldog Breed has twice, TWICE, been comprehensively torn apart by Hypno-Disc, which is not as good or powerful as Typhoon 2. We know Bulldog Breed struggled to kill off robots, and Typhoon 2 is good enough to avoid it while it spins up. <font color="black">J</font><font color="gold">im<font color="black">laa</font><font color="gold">d4</font></font><font color="black">3</font>(talk) 20:19, September 2, 2018 (UTC)

#This relies entirely on Bulldog Breed's ability to catch Typhoon before it's up to speed. If it fails, it's over. I suspect, more likely than not, it won't catch Typhoon. CrashBash (talk) 20:21, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
  +
#Storm 2 couldn't catch Typhoon 2 before it was up to speed, Bulldog Breed won't manage it. That's not even taking into account that Bulldog Breed wasn't actually particularly well controlled, in my opinion, tending to oversteer and actually being relatively ponderous sometimes in lining up flips. And then couple that with how Bulldog Breed also didn't seem to take big impacts well, getting its frame twisted out of shape in a Series 7 heat in which it didn't really take many knocks at all. Typhoon 2 has this fairly comfortably. Combatwombat555 (talk) 21:28, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
  +
#I'm staggered this is as close as it is, but at the same time I'm not surprised to see votes against Typhoon 2 for a robot like this. Typhoon 2 will not only evade the flipper of Bulldog Breed long enough to get up to speed, but it'll finish this fight after no more than three or four hits I think. The first hit may well damage the front of the flipper and warp it, and from there Typhoon 2 will have all the time in the world. Bulldog Breed lost comfortably to good spinners three times, suffered against Infernal Contraption of all things, and this will be a walkover for the full-body spinner. <font color="black">R</font><font color="green">a<font color="black">z</font><font color="green">3</font></font><font color="black">r</font>(talk) 21:39, September 2, 2018 (UTC)

#There are machines - and more specifically flippers - that I would back against Typhoon 2. Bulldog Breed isn't quite one of those. Tony Somerfield is an aggressive driver, yes, but he's a very weak driver as Combatwombat points out. He never protects his sides, he doesn't line up attacks well - he just chucks his titanium square into the opponent and then reacts to the situation if he can. Being reactive as apposed to proactive against a machine like Typhoon 2 isn't going to end well. NJGW (talk) 01:05, September 3, 2018 (UTC)

#I am actually unsure about this vote. Robochicken in theory is a good robot for taking out Wheely Big Cheese, since as proven against a wide opponent like Tough as Nails, its flipper is capable of exploiting a lumbering opponent. However, there is one issue that prevents me from voting for the Series 7 machine, and that is how it uses its flips. If one re-watches the battles it had against Mega Morg and Tough as Nails, it can be noted that Robochicken tends to waste flips at an alarming rate, either not flipping the opponent at full potential, or worse not achieving a flip at all. While Wheely Big Cheese does have its flaws in terms of control, it can be noted in battles such as Wolverine and Axe-Awe that it often can (and will) punish an opponent for making mistakes like this. As soon as Robochicken wastes a flip, Wheely Big Cheese can come in and throw it over. While Robochicken can self-right (without the head), this uses up more CO2 that it really cannot afford to waste. Even in a three minute battle, I expect Robochicken to run low on CO2, enabling Wheely Big Cheese to win via one more critical flip. And even if Robochicken does survive to the end, the wasted flips, combined with Wheely Big Cheese's more powerful (and damaging) flips, should see it lose on a judges' decision via all accounts. #Truth be told it is quite a shame poor Destructive Criticism was shunted aside but mistakes happen :P Now then, a reliable and consistent flipper would win this unfortunately Robo-Chicken is not that robot. The flipper can flip but it tends to latch open for a while before closing back down, acting more like a lifter if anything. That and it lost CO2 quite a bit (not saying WBC won't ether!) and it could hardly, head or not, self right so a flip will and could kill the chicken.<font color="red">Diotoir</font><font color="black"> the</font><font color="red"> son</font><font color="black"> of</font><font color="red"> nemesis</font> (talk) 19:15, September 2, 2018 (UTC)

From the Vault: Annihilator Final: Atomic vs Kan-Opener
Neither robot succeeded in A Fantasy Audited War 3, as Kan-Opener lost to Scrap-2-Saw in the second round, while Atomic was trashed against Dominator 2 in the opening round. Nonetheless, back in Wikia Series 8, they were the last two machines running in the Annihilator, outlasting Barber-Ous 2'n a Bit, Revolution 2, Derek 2 and Spawn Again on route to the final. Will Kan-Opener defend its title once more? Or will Atomic take it from them?

Before voting, remember to take into account the impacts these two robots would face from Barber-Ous 2'n a Bit, Revolution 2, Derek 2 and Spawn Again.

#In a normal encounter, I would trust Atomic to win. Yes, I have voted for Kan-Opener to beat Series 5 Atomic (twice), but it was based on the fact that its opponent's armour was flimsy and thus easy to crush. By Series 7, Atomic's armour (and flipper for that matter) was significantly strong, so I would see it surviving the first onslaught before doing its trademark out of the arena on Kan-Opener. However, when it comes to this Annihilator, I do think Atomic would suffer more; in particular, Barber-Ous 2'n a Bit would cause more damage to it than Kan-Opener (who in my opinion would be the one to take out the demon barber, not Spawn Again), while is likely to have been forced to self-right several times against Spawn Again. That said, Atomic should still come out on top, considering that after Barber-Ous 2'n a Bit went out, Revolution 3 and Derek 2 were unlikely to cause much harm to it, allowing the team to repair any damage. All Spawn Again could do to it is reduce its CO2 supply, which can be replenished. Therefore, I trust Atomic to still be relatively in its prime by the Final, allowing it to defeat an otherwise unaffected Kan-Opener. #Ripper certainly had the edge on Kan-Opener when they actually tussled in Round 1, it was only their head-to-head encounter where an unanticipated breakdown swung things back to the pincerbot. Atomic is basically a better version of Ripper here. <span style="font-family:Pirulen; font-size:10pt"><font color="maroon">T</font><font color="ff8c00">OAS</font><font color="maroon">T</font></span> 11:19, September 4, 2018 (UTC)

#Atomic should have tanked the hits well from previous rounds, and will find Kan-Opener an easy target to flip now it's on its own. Apollo has shaken Kan-Opener to death in Series 8, so why can't Atomic shake Kan-Opener to death in Series 8? #You know, it is a bit of a shame, but Wheely Big Cheese might actually have been a Typhoon 2 killer. After all, with strong armour, and a flip with a wide range and power, it would easily disrupt Typhoon 2's rythmn before achieving the flip of doom. Then one has to consider Wheely Big Cheese's lack of control, exposed wheels and general unreliability and then it becomes clear that Typhoon 2 should inflict a knockout on the flipper before a flip of doom can occur. #To be honest, the only non-reboot flipper I'd give a chance against Typhoon 2 is one we saw it beat - Atomic. Otherwise, I don't see any flippers being the right design to turn Typhoon 2 over in time. TBH, Ripper is the only robot I'd say has a chance of flipping it before it's fully up to speed, but it only has one chance, which could also rip the flipper off as well. Anyway, Wheely is not maneuvrable enough to get under Typhoon in time, and those wheels are prime to be torn off. Welcome to the penultimate heat of A Fantasy Audited War 3! Bigger Brother shocked the robot combat community when it failed to qualify for this series, having been champion of A Fantasy Audited War 1. But no matter, because Team Big Brother successfully qualified with The Swarm! It, along with Destructive Criticism, are the last robots to have qualified through the play-offs. Will they prove themselves worthy to be here? To find out, we must LET THE WARS BEGIN!

Round 1[]

Robochicken (7) vs Technophobic (3)[]

Robochicken (7) Technophobic (3)
Robochicken 7
Technophobic`
Votes for Robochicken (7)
  1. The main issue of this battle is not so much "who will win?", because I can easily see Robochicken achieving a flip of doom on Technophobic. Rather, I am curious as to whether this battle will finally end Toast's streak of voting against Robochicken in battles. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 17:31, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  2. Aw, I would've loved for Technophobic to have a kinder draw. But in this particular fight, Robochicken will beat the worse version of the machine it beat in Heat M of Series 7. NJGW (talk) 17:47, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  3. Better flipper wins. Hogwild94 (talk) 18:11, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  4. Well after my humiliating defeat in the Heat N final this is a much easier decider. Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 18:30, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  5. if Robochicken is in a battle and Toast doesn't vote, does that mean he secretly agrees it should win and therefore should get an extra point? (I jest xD) Jimlaad43(talk) 21:18, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  6. Technophobic was never going to win a fight once Inquisitor got drawn against S3. Raz3r(talk) 23:12, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
Votes for Technophobic (3)
Winner: Robochicken (6-0)

Typhoon 2 (7) vs Arnold A. Terminegger (Ext 1)[]

Typhoon 2 (7) Arnold A. Terminegger (Ext 1)
Typhoon 2
Arnold a terminegger
Votes for Typhoon 2 (7)
  1. Ouch. Yep, sadly Arnold A. Terminegger stands no chance here, as it has no means of disrupting Typhoon 2's rythmn. Henceforth, Typhoon 2 will get up to speed and take out Arnold A. Terminegger within a few blows. Nonetheless, there is one robot I think that can beat it in this heat... SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 17:31, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  2. We never saw Arnold A against high-energy spinners, but I think it can withstand a few hits due to Ian Inglis' past engineering exploits on the show. Arnold will desperately try to slot its little lifter in to no avail though, and will eventually be booted out in harsh fashion. NJGW (talk) 17:49, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  3. Unfortunate, but there's no arguing here. Hogwild94 (talk) 18:12, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  4. Yes I would have voted for Typhoon Twins to win this matchup. TOAST 18:27, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  5. Ouch! And it's even a robot I like.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 18:31, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  6. Dont worry SM, you won't have to go through the hell of pasting Arnold's full name everywhere for much longer. Jimlaad43(talk) 21:20, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  7. Arnold won't weather these attacks from Typhoon 2. With the machines we have left, I wouldn't be surprised to see Typhoon 2 clinch this championship from here. Raz3r(talk) 23:12, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
Votes for Arnold A. Terminegger (Ext 1)
Winner: Typhoon 2 (7-0)

The Swarm vs Bulldog Breed (Ext 2)[]

The Swarm Bulldog Breed (Ext 2)
The-swarm
BulldogBreed
Votes for The Swarm
  1. Of all the robots that qualified through the 'play-offs', perhaps the most interesting of the bunch (pun intended) is The Swarm. Indeed, I think The Swarm was unlucky to not qualify directly, seeing as although it can overwhelm several classic opponents, the robots' lack of reliability would surely be exploited by certain opponents. Bulldog Breed in its Extreme 2 variant is not one of them, since although I can see it achieving some flips, Blenda is going to prove too much for it. Indeed, I am not sure if Blenda's spinner is on par with Hypno-Disc's, but it was capable of causing significant damage to Donald Thump. Henceforth, with the others providing a distraction, I can see Blenda causing some internal damage through attacking Bulldog Breed's sides, compromising the Extreme 2 machine's mobility. Once that is achieved, The Swarm can close in for the knockout. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 17:31, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  2. It's not that Bullog Breed's actual armour isn't good - it's the fact that its motors are wedged right against its front armour. Hypno-Disc killed those motors twice, Infernal Contraption supposedly warped the chassis, and Blenda is going to impede Bulldog Breed's mobility as well. Bulldog Breed is set up to be a titanium brick, but it's one of the poorest spinner killers around in reality. NJGW (talk) 17:52, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  3. What exactly can Bulldog Breed do here? Unless it immobilises Blenda early, I can see it being pincer attacked. Hogwild94 (talk) 18:14, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
Votes for Bulldog Breed (Ext 2)
  1. I'm shocked at the lack of support for Bulldog Breed here, we all know Blenda has a spinner capable of damaging heavyweights, but to a knockout extent? I'm really not sure about that, Donald Thump's panels were held on with very weak support, and it generated plenty of sparks upon contact with Behemoth, but not really damage. Over in BattleBots, the spinners caused major damage to the extremely frail Double Jeopardy, and then very little to Gamma 9 and Blacksmith. Over in King of Bots, they did no damage to Saber and I'm not sure they even touched Crossfire. The blade can't weigh more than 10kg (Ansgar 3 and I Bot One Beta levels), and let's not forget how horribly unreliable Blenda and its derivatives were, in Robot Wars, King of Bots AND BattleBots. One or more of them die several times per match. Blenda is the only talking point amongst The Swarm - Skye will do nothing other than potentially get flipped out of the arena, Pinza will be overturned instantly, and Rubber Duck will just be there. Flippers are the undoing of The Swarm, and even if they took out Bulldog Breed's drive on one side, they'll probably die completely before the Bulldog is even counted out. TOAST 18:27, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  2. I agree with Toast here, yes Blenda is quite a powerful spinner but it's an unreliable one as well, it has been known to get at least one hit before exploding madly around the arena until it decides not to move. Not only that all Bulldog Breed really needs to do is flip and immobilise at least two or even three of the clusters to win regardless of what happens, which I have full confidence in Bulldog Breed's flipper and low wedge to do all while surviving Blenda's first few blows before it's inevitable spontaneous explosion.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 18:37, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  3. I just don't think Blenda is on par with Hypno-Disc. Bulldog Breed can easily dispose of 3/4 of the Swarm, all it has to do is tank a few hits from a 25kg spinner (weight of robot, not spinner). Toon Ganondorf (t c) 22:36, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  4. Bulldog Breed need not fear their opponents. Blenda is basically a damaging weapon that just recoils massively, making every hit almost as bad for it as to the opponent. The other constituents are basically alsorans that won't have any effect here. Apollo showed how easy it is to throw the constituents around the arena, and Bulldog Breed won't struggle either. Blenda isn't as powerful as Hypno-Disc and won't tear Bulldog Breed apart, or at least not in time to stop it disposing of the other constituents. Jimlaad43(talk) 22:50, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  5. What can Bulldog Breed do? Well, it can chuck around three of the four robots with considerable ease and little threat, and they all have issues with being flipped over except Blenda. Duck doesn't have the gas, the other two are pitiful and Blenda is more likely to kill itself than Bulldog Breed imo. Raz3r(talk) 23:12, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
Winner: Bulldog Breed (5-3)

Destructive Criticism (EW 2) vs Wheely Big Cheese (5)[]

Destructive Criticism (EW 2) Wheely Big Cheese (5)
Destructive Criticism
Wheely Big Cheese
Votes for Destructive Criticism (EW 2)
  1. I'll be different. Raz3r(talk) 23:12, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  2. Well this sucks, Wheely Big Cheese has always been a pain in fantasy tournaments due to it's poor reliability and questionably legal weapon. I was all geared up for Destructive Criticism in the srcond round, and now we have to deal with this thing. WBC to fail the OotA, take a hit or two to the wheels, and break down. TOAST 11:54, September 1, 2018 (UTC)
Votes for Wheely Big Cheese (5)
  1. Yep, sorry about this. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 19:56, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
On another note, I used Word Frequency Counter, and found only Wheely Big Cheese was omitted. Everyone else that should have qualified were on the official list. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 19:58, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  2. Well then. Here the disc should cause too much of a problem and the exploitable ground clearance should allow the Cheese to throw DC u into the air. Will it be knocked out? no but the flips should cause some internal damage.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 20:05, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  3. Destructive Criticism vs 6 Million Dollar Mouse would have been a whitewash. Here, I'm not too sure, since....well, we all know I don't rank Wheely Big Cheese anywhere near as highly as anyone else does. That being said, the way DC just kinda died after the hard impacts with Panzer does not fill me with confidence. CrashBash (talk) 20:09, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  4. If Destructive Criticism doesn't take hard knocks well, then Hweely Big Cheese might just be able to take it down with one solid flip. Hogwild94 (talk) 20:12, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
  5. Can we please further specify this as "Wheely Big Cheese (5, Heats)" please, as it makes us actually vote for the strong and reliable version, not the disaster that followed in the Semis or Extreme 1. Jimlaad43(talk) 08:34, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
That seems oddly specific. Wasn't the All-Stars and the Mayhem filmed before the Series 5 heats anyway? Raz3r(talk) 09:31, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
When I stated "Series 5", I just assumed Wheely Big Cheese is in the state it was in prior to facing Wolverine. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 19:01, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
Winner: Wheely Big Cheese (5-2)

Round 2[]

Bulldog Breed vs Typhoon 2[]

Bulldog Breed Typhoon 2
BulldogBreed
Typhoon 2
Votes for Bulldog Breed
  1. Now, Bulldog Breed was not actually the robot I was thinking would beat Typhoon 2 in this heat; it was actually The Swarm! SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 19:01, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
  2. Though the Full body spinners that Bulldog Breed faced before were not as powerful or as good as Typhoon it still should be noted how quick the dog rammed them and chucked them over immediately. Typhoon, as do many FBS need to spin up to speed which requires them running away for the first half of a match, Bulldog Breed should be quick and aggressive enough to flip it, this could ether knock it out or hinder the spin up time which would also stop the robot in its track meaning it will need to run away by which point the pooch will attack again.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 19:11, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
  3. Bulldog Breed to flip Typhoon 2 over before Typhoon 2 can get up for speed. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:08, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
Votes for Typhoon 2
  1. Nah, Typhoon 2 has beaten better flippers than Bulldog Breed before this.
  2. Typhoon 2 has this easily. Jimlaad43(talk) 20:19, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
  3. This relies entirely on Bulldog Breed's ability to catch Typhoon before it's up to speed. If it fails, it's over. I suspect, more likely than not, it won't catch Typhoon. CrashBash (talk) 20:21, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
  4. Storm 2 couldn't catch Typhoon 2 before it was up to speed, Bulldog Breed won't manage it.
  5. I'm staggered this is as close as it is, but at the same time I'm not surprised to see votes against Typhoon 2 for a robot like this. Raz3r(talk) 21:39, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
  6. There are machines - and more specifically flippers - that I would back against Typhoon 2.
  7. Yea in this instance I feel Typhoon will destroy the Bulldog before they get overturned. BizarroKing (talk) 21:05, September 3, 2018 (UTC)

Robochicken vs Wheely Big Cheese[]

Votes for Robochicken
  1. This version wasn't as reliable as the series 4 model so all Robochicken needs to do is stay in the middle of the arena and wait until the cheese dies. Sam (BAZINGA) 17:38, September 3, 2018 (UTC)
Votes for Wheely Big Cheese
  1. I am actually unsure about this vote. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 19:01, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
  2. Yes, Hweely Big Cheese has issues, but it only really needs a single flip to win this one. It should get it in time. Hogwild94 (talk) 19:12, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
    Robochicken can self-right. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 19:17, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
'double checks article' Ah, I see. I misunderstood what happened. My vote still stands though. Hogwild94 (talk) 20:25, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
  3. Truth be told it is quite a shame poor Destructive Criticism was shunted aside but mistakes happen :P Now then, a reliable and consistent flipper would win this unfortunately Robo-Chicken is not that robot. The flipper can flip but it tends to latch open for a while before closing back down, acting more like a lifter if anything. That and it lost CO2 quite a bit (not saying WBC won't ether!) and it could hardly, head or not, self right so a flip will and could kill the chicken.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 19:15, September 2, 2018 (UTC)

  5. Oh I hadn't realised Robochicken was in this heat, pity it's already out before I got the chance to acknowledge it! TOAST 21:22, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
  6. Wheely Big Cheese isn't as quick or as controlled, but it sure has the power, and if it gets one flip in, I can see it getting a (cheese)string of them in one after another. Raz3r(talk) 21:39, September 2, 2018 (UTC)
  7. Design wise, Robochicken has a solid chance. Driver wise and pacing-the-fight wise, it doesn't. NJGW (talk) 01:06, September 3, 2018 (UTC)
  8. Robochicken gets to FLY! (Out of the Arena that is...) BizarroKing (talk) 21:05, September 3, 2018 (UTC)

From the Vault: Annihilator Final: Atomic vs Kan-Opener[]

Votes for Atomic
  1. In a normal encounter, I would trust Atomic to win. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 11:15, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
  2. Ripper certainly had the edge on Kan-Opener when they actually tussled in Round 1, it was only their head-to-head encounter where an unanticipated breakdown swung things back to the pincerbot. Atomic is basically a better version of Ripper here. TOAST 11:19, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
  3. Atomic should have tanked the hits well from previous rounds, and will find Kan-Opener an easy target to flip now it's on its own. Apollo has shaken Kan-Opener to death in Series 8, so why can't Atomic shake Kan-Opener to death in Series 8? Jimlaad43(talk) 11:33, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
  4. Atomic is plenty hardy and wide enough. Kan-Opener will probably suffer from more wear and tear between fights too - with numerous attempted repairs to its hydraulic system carried out in the real Annihilators. NJGW (talk) 19:33, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
  5. This Atomic's main form of attack was to charge and flip. Kan-Opener won't have any real response to that. Atomic is too fast. Hogwild94 (talk) 20:12, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
  6. Ripper could have beaten Kan-Opener of it weren't but for the breakdown. Atomic has the wide flipper plate, the agility and the strength to holding back the worst Kan-Opener tried to throw at it. Atomic to finish the job that Ripper could not. Raz3r(talk) 20:20, September 4, 2018 (UTC)

  1. You know, it is a bit of a shame, but Wheely Big Cheese might actually have been a Typhoon 2 killer. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 11:15, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
  2. oh shame, I might've given robochicken a chance here TOAST 11:19, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
  3. Well this is an easy decision. Those wheels will be targeted and will be destroyed ala the Hypno-Disc battle. I think had Bulldog Breed won the last match this would have been a lot better (still would have voted WBC out!) Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 11:22, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
  4. To be honest, the only non-reboot flipper I'd give a chance against Typhoon 2 is one we saw it beat - Atomic. Jimlaad43(talk) 11:29, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
  5. If Wheely Big Cheese didn't twitch an arc around in an awkward turning circle then I would consider voting for it... but because it does so, I can't. NJGW (talk) 19:38, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
  6. Hweely Big Cheese isn't going to flip Typhoon 2; no matter how well Typhoon 2 works, it will cause enough damage to win. Hogwild94 (talk) 20:13, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
  7. No way is WBC going to catch Typhoon 2 off-guard. I suspect the wheels won't be able to cope with more than a couple of hits. Desecration on the cards. Raz3r(talk) 20:20, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
  8. Imagine Wheely Big Cheese's fight with Hypno-Disc. Done that? Good. Now imagine Hypno-Disc is on steroids. CrashBash (talk) 20:31, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
  9. Those big red wheels might as well be re-painted to look like big bulls-eyes . BizarroKing (talk) 21:24, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
