Votes for Sir Chromalot
- Sir Chromy will be knocked over quite easily by any of the opponents, and it'll just be a case of wait for them to fail to self-right. Jimlaad43(talk) 09:37, May 31, 2016 (UTC)
- If it was going to the judges, then I'd vote out Bolt from the Blue, but I think Sir Chromalot isn't quite as resilient as the others. They won't last. Flipped from a charge by X-Terminator and left unable to get back up. RelicRaider (talk) 10:58, May 31, 2016 (UTC)
- To be fair, though, there were almost never judges decisions in annihilators. Yes, there was Pussycat vs Arnold A. Terminegger, but it was just those two left. Someone else was usually dead by that point. CrashBash (talk) 17:10, May 31, 2016 (UTC)
- Agreed, Sir Chromalot lacks offence and, unlike Bolt from the Blue, lacks decent defence too. Is the line up for this annihilator right, out of interest? Sir Chromalot's from Essex, and King B3's from London/Hampshire, none of which are at all northern... Combatwombat555 (talk) 11:36, May 31, 2016 (UTC)
- Yep, I checked all 12 robots, and despite Aggrobot being below London, it's still more Northern than the other 6. Robot Wars in series 4 was very full of competitors from the south of England. Jimlaad43(talk) 11:41, May 31, 2016 (UTC)
- So, this plays into my theory that the robots were split between the two actual annihilators after all 12 had entered, since technically, only three of the "Northern" robots were actually northern. It does make me curious to know who the Southern competitors are...CrashBash (talk) 17:14, May 31, 2016 (UTC)
- Small Torque has to be one of them. :P --GoldenFox93 (talk) 18:27, May 31, 2016 (UTC)
- Though BftB is useless it will out last Sir Chromalot as it will be flipped. Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 11:48, May 31, 2016 (UTC)
- Quite a balanced Annihilator in my opinion. Anyhow, I nearly voted Bolt from the Blue out, but Sir Chromalot really cannot push or threaten any of the other robots. Plus, although I think the srimech will work, Sir Chromalot will either lose the judges' decision or be pitted. SpaceManiac888 (talk) 12:19, May 31, 2016 (UTC)
- An annihilator round is NEVER simple. However, what I've learnt is that often it's about what the other robots can or cannot do to their opponents. For example, Chaos 2 really SHOULD have won the Northern Annihilator, but the other robots ganged up on it in the first round. Conversely, Razer SHOULD have been ganged up on in the Southern Annihilator, but despite the other robots trying to, they couldn't do so properly. It's easy to say the weak one falls in Round 1, or the favourite is ganged up upon, but it's never really that simple. I think the easiest way around this is to go through each robot in turn and see what the others can do to it. In the case of Bolt From the Blue, its stupidly low ground clearance and sloped sides means that most of the robots (like 101, King B3 and Aggrobot) will likely just go over it. The only robot that can really do anything to it is X-Terminator, provided it uses its axe, and even then that's not much. 101 and King B3's biggest threats are each other...they've resisted X-Terminator before and none of the others have really effective weaponary against them. X-Terminator is probably the most dangerous robot of the bunch, and I could see the other robots trying to gang up on it, but really, King B3 and 101 would be its only real threat, and even then they couldn't take it out. Aggrobot is probably one of the weaker competitors in this competition, so the others could do what they want with it...but it still had a fair amount of "sprite" to it, which leaves Sir Chromalot. Such a shame, but realistically, it can't do anything to its opponents, but all five of its opponents can do something to it...flip it constantly, axe it, push it into the pit...at the end of the day, it won't survive long enough for the others to gang up on and defeat X-Terminator. Oh, and just to warn you, I likely will leave VERY long replies. CrashBash (talk) 13:26, May 31, 2016 (UTC)
- Nice line-up this! Sir Chromalot is definitely the weak link out of it though. Easily flipped by at least one opponent and not effective enough to damage anyone else. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:27, May 31, 2016 (UTC)
- As rotten as BTFB was, Sir Chromalot is definitely the weak link here. A top-heavy and small-based design fighting several machines that can potentially flip it, and with only some drills and a srimech that doesn't work to aid it. It'll be ganged up on, flipped, axed and pitted quite quickly- although I can't argue against the fact that it'd be hilarious to see on the Floor Flipper! --GoldenFox93 (talk) 18:01, May 31, 2016 (UTC)
