Under normal circumstances, losing a well deserved second seed position as a consequence for taking international series into consideration, would likely upset a team. Not so for Team Big Brother, whose robot Bigger Brother is looking to avenge its loss to Razer that ultimately denied them the Series 5 title. By being seeded 3rd, it should mean that the two will face each other earlier on in this series... if both can make it through their heats, that is. Bigger Brother may want to watch out for Nickelodeon Robot Wars champion Tyranabot and rival Sir Chromalot, the latter looking to avenge its Series 3 defeat to Big Brother. So, LET THE WARS BEGIN!

Round 1

  1. Bigger Brother and Lightning Tracks. A pretty simple one, this. Paul Bunyan and Bloody Murder Weapon both have ineffective spinners. Oh, and both cannot self-right. Perfect for Bigger Brother to achieve two flips of doom. Lightning Track's invertibility enables it to soldier on. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 16:09, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  2. Bigger Brother and Lightning Tracks. I mean, I can't deny that Lightning Tracks is most likely to survive, if nothing else. Otherwise it's a Bigger Brother romp. CrashBash (talk) 16:27, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  3. Bigger Brother and Lightning Tracks - I was actually impressed with Dark Track (Lightning Tracks without the tank cosplay) in Robotica, and it's good to see it in a survivable melee. Bigger Brother should be able to turn Bloody Murder Weapon over without too much trouble whilst Lightning Tracks skewers Paul Bunyan's tyres, before Bigger Brother comes in to finish the job. Combatwombat555 (talk) 16:34, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  4. Bigger Brother and Paul Bunyan - I think Paul Bunyan is going to keep ridding around on its rear tyres. As much as I like it, I just don't trust Lightning Tracks to stay away from Bigger Brother, while BMW is a non factor. NJGW (talk) 16:38, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  5. Bigger Brother and Lightning Tracks. Paul Bunyan and BMW are just so easily beatable. Bigger Brother can lob either one of them out of the arena while Lightning Tracks pushes the other one about. Jimlaad43(talk) 17:00, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  6. Bigger Brother and Lightning Tracks: Lightning Tracks was arguably unlucky in its match, the other two were, well, useless. Congrats on the Heat win Bigger Brother! Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 17:07, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  7. Bigger Brother and Lightning Tracks. BMW and Paul Bunyan are very easy for Bigger Brother to flip, while Lightning Tracks' ground clearance gives it a break. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:43, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  8. Bigger Brother and Lightning Tracks. Simple enough, really. Both Bloody Murder Weapon and Paul Bunyan's weapons might as well not exist and they aren't invertible (well, sort of). Two one-flip-and-done's! --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 17:46, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  9. Bigger Brother and Lightning Tracks. All 3 are going to be fodder for Bigger Brother, but Lightning Tracks will just survive the others. Adster1005 22:13, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  10. Bigger Brother and Paul Bunyan. Sincerely agree with Nick. Paul Bunyan doesn't run properly when inverted but it should still run. Lightning Tracks was impressive in Robotics but it showed no such potential on Robot Wars. Maybe it would get there on a second run, but can it hold off Bigger Brother? I'd suggest not. Shapeshifter vs Black Widow vs Tyranabot vs Sir Chromalot

  1. Black Widow and Sir Chromalot. A good battle for Sir Chromalot to showcase its improvements. Indeed, it will achieve a flip of doom by side-stranding Shapeshifter. And its got two invertible American machines with high ground clearances to demonstrate its flipper's potential, with neither opponent being capable of toppling it. With Sir Chromalot being dominant, the question remains on who goes through with it. Ooh, tough one here, but I will say Black Widow because its wedge should help it control Tyranabot and even Sir Chromalot at times, whereas Tyranabot's slow speed and ineffective grabber will probably cost it dearly here on a Judges' decision. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 16:09, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  2. Sir Chromalot and Tyranabot - I was going throw a curveball and get rid of Sir Chromalot, but it is the most likely to KO Shapeshifter and that will carry points in a judges' decision. I think both Black Widow and Tyranabot are machines which Sir Chromalot could struggle to complete flips on, but it can still flick over Black Widow even while its in Sir Chromalot's face, while Tyranabot I just see as too gangly for Sir Chromalot to fully trouble. It'll be super close, but I think Tyranabot will carry decent pushes, and even though Black Widow will carry out maybe one or two more good pushes than Tyranabot, it'll also be flipped more by Sir Chromalot, and I think that will just cost it. NJGW (talk) 16:47, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  3. Sir Chromalot and Tyranabot - Shapeshifter's easily toppled, and both American machines have a ton of ground clearance that Sir Chromalot can exploit and take a good points lead. Between Black Widow and Tyranabot it's tight, but I wasn't particularly impressed with the driving behind Black Widow - it tended to wander fairly aimlessly at times, oversteering and having to correct, and I don't think it imposed itself particularly well in its melee. Tyranabot doesn't have a wedge (although Black Widow's looked fragile anyway) and it did tend to stop quite a bit against Bunny Attack, but it seemed to have more power than Black Widow and looked a bit more difficult to turn over. Combatwombat555 (talk) 16:52, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  4. Sir Chromalot and Tyranabot. Shapeshifter is going to be bullied, and its the amount they each bully it that will determine who goes through. Black Widow, Tyranabot and Sir Chromalot will likely be a bit of a stalemate, so who can do the most to Shapeshifter? Well Chromy has the flipper, which was half-decent during this time, and Tyranabot can score some great damage points on the side with the claw. Black Widow always struck me as a meh pusher, so it will just be pushing as the others score points with proper attacks. Jimlaad43(talk) 16:58, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  5. Sir Chromalot and Black Widow. Obviously it's a Sir Chromalot romp, but need I remind everyone again that Tyranabot can't turn. This leaves it at a major disadvantage that even Black Widow could counter. CrashBash (talk) 17:02, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  6. Black Widow and Sir Chromalot: I'm sorry but have any of you actually seen any of the Tyranabot fights? It barely could move around, mostly going forwards and backwards and the weapon won't get anything. Shapeshifter is a boxy and rather pitiful robot, but then again it's a jokebot (look at it!) and Black Widow is a competent robot that can fight very well, sure it'll flip flop a bit but still aggressive.Sir Chromalot dominates all categories here.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 17:06, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  7. Sir Chromalot and Black Widow. Sir Chromalot secures its place in the next round by flicking and toppling Shapeshifter over, much to Eric Corton's delight and Jonathan Pearce's dismay. Black Widow's wedge and Tyranabot's ground clearance and too narrow attack range allows the former to go through as well. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:46, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  8. Sir Chromalot and Black Widow. Sir Chromalot will topple Shapeshifter and Black Widow will push Tyranabot around more than Tyranabot will get good attacks in. Adster1005 22:13, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  9. Sir Chromalot and Black Widow. I was torn here, because I don't really rate Tyranabot or Black Widow. Both underperformed despite their good combat records, and built up the impression that they were better than they were. Simply when putting them against each other, Black Widow should win because Wedge vs. No Wedge. TOAST 23:13, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
  10. Sir Chromalot and Black Widow. This was a tough fight to decide for me as both Black Widow and Tyranabot have their shortcomings, mainly Black Widow's spastic control problems and Tyranabot's case of the "Trimangles". The thing that tips me over in support of Black Widow is mainly because it seems like it'd be a lot more aggressive than Tyranabot and it is also invertible, meaning Chromalot can't topple it over for a one-flip-and-done. The same cannot be said for Tyranabot and especially Shapeshifter, who'll most likely fall in this fashion. Four one-flip-and-done scenarios in the same heat. Weird. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 00:44, July 11, 2020 (UTC)
