After an already impressive US Championship victory with Panzer Mk 2, its team returned and conquered Extreme Warriors: Season 2 with the even better Panzer Mk 4! Now, the machine is seeking to not only win the International series, but also is keen to avenge itself on a grander scale following Panzer Mk 2's early exit from the Second World Championship. But the competition only gets stronger from here, with Annihilator champion Disc-O-Inferno seeking to enter the Semi-Finals for the first time. So, LET THE WARS BEGIN!
Panzer Mk 4 and Thor. Final heat, and I think the second seed has a good opening melee. I can see it just slamming into Spin Doctor, again breaking the spinner's chain and compromising Team LOGICOM's chances once more. As for Thor and Mega Hurts 2, I expect both to survive to the end actually, but it will be great entertainment seeing Thor break Mega Hurts 2's monitor! Panzer Mk 4 and Thor - If Spin Doctor was more powerful I'd vote it, but it just disappointed, never really getting up to speed and causing much damage. Panzer Mk 4 and Thor. Really, Thor is the only robot of the three opponents that won't be hopelessly embarrassed by Panzer when it pushes them. Spin Doctor will have its flywheel deflected away, then get smashed into a wall, while I can't see Mega Hurts having a chance of flipping Panzer, partly because the American machine will just drive at the side of MHz, but more because Thor will spend the whole battle trying to line up its axe to explode the computer on top, and should eventually succeed in a very satisfying explosion of plastic. Panzer Mk4 and Thor. A tricky melee because Panzer can realistically beat anything here, but it isn't likely to KO any of them. Panzer Mk4 and Thor - Panzer Mk4 will dominate, and be able to press each of its opponents into danger areas. Spin Doctor will likely lose its weapon early on, while between the other two, Thor is the more durable in body and has a visually grand weapon, which will help convince the judges. Killer Carrot 2 and Disc-O-Inferno. Well what do you know, Disc-O-Inferno battles two machines it beat in real-life! And Bluemax. Difference between Killer Carrot 2 and Tridentate though is that the former was capable of surviving a few hits. This is already more than what the lightweight Bluemax with its exposed wheels could possibly achieve. Killer Carrot 2, as much as it was a unique flipper, simply lacked the power and range to properly overturn most opponents. Only the greatest flippers really stand a chance of taking out the seed, so I see Panzer Mk 4 overwhelming this flipper as a result. Here's one for you: I heard that Panzer Mk 2, and Mk 4 for that matter, could actually self-right, it was just that Tornado damaged the former's scoop in the Second World Championship that it was unable to self-right after being flipped. The Reboot Thors would easily beat the spinner, and to be fair, I did consider voting for the Series 6 version since Disc-O-Inferno did not seem to be the most reliable even when controlling its battles. I suspect a blow on the top of its foe would cause serious havoc. Ultimately though, since Thor lacked its anti-spinner front and also had light armour, I am not confident that Thor will land that blow or two before Disc-O-Inferno begins to tear into its foe.
