Votes for Series 7, Heat D
- This is darn close, and I'll acknowledge Toast's inevitable complaint that had X2ASB been seeded, it wouldn't have drawn 7D in the first round. However, the chips have fallen and we have two episodes against one another, each featuring a fairly dominant robot with a plucky runner up whose impressing in their own way. Gravity felt more invincible than Razer did, but perhaps that is just that the 13 Black damage has been overplayed throughout the year. 13 Black's victory over Dominator 2 is well earned but less delightful than Lightning's over Thor, and Razer's KO on Spawn Again couldn't compare to even 6 seconds of Gravity's on 13 Black. That is not to underrated X2ASB, which has some of the best fights of all time in it, but much like Lightning edged out 13 Black in real life, 7D edges X2ASB. Votes for Extreme 2 All-Stars, Heat B
- I'll be blunt. I don't think Heat D is a good episode. The only "good" thing about it was Gravity. Everything else, side event included, is terrible. There's no real memorable moments other than maybe Gravity's odd flips. The melee with 13 Black is dull, the round 2 matches are forgettable, the side event is embarrassing and the Heat Finals isn't something to rave on. This may not be the best episode but atleast it's battles were fun, at least there's more memorability such as Chaos 2's last fight being particularly brutal, Razer losing a wing, Hypno-Disc's shocking loss, 13 Black and Dominator fighting near the pit and even Razer fight 13 Black was all good. Heat D is in no way entertaining and I must ask, what (for those who like it) is good about it? I think it's actually one of the WORST Heats in Robot Wars history personally...Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 11:33, March 13, 2019 (UTC)
- 13 Black's finest moment vs its lowest. Grvity was a star in Heat D, but the heat lacks elsewhere, as Thor underdelivered, and Lightning was impressive without being exciting. Gravity taking out the House Robots was great, and the OotA's stylish, but I just think the battle quality otherwise wasn't as good as ASH2. 13 Black dominated Chaos 2 and Razer in the first melee, ending the career of the double champions and nearly tearing Razer apart. Spawn Again finally worked in its next melee, dispatching of Hypno-Disc. Sadly, Razer vs Spawn Again wasn't great, but 13 Black vs Dominator 2 ended with the incredible dragging match towards the pit. 13 Black really should have won the Heat Final, but it stuttered, allowing Razer one chance, and it showed why it was such a good robot becuase the one chance was jumped on to perfection, chucking it down the pit. Of course, this episode also included the All-Stars final, another opportunity for Razer to flex its muscles over Firestorm, classily disposing of the flipper into the pit.
