I'm sure we've had a thread like this before.....but oh well....in my opinion, top three most over-rated robots are...

  • Behemoth - It's a good robot, but everyone seems to expect it to do really well in all of its tournaments. For example, considering it the "favourite" when going up against Bigger Brother, the then-runner-up, is a bit much. On a number of occasions, Behemoth has been seeded higher than it should have been, and the teams own over-confidence at times didn't help.
  • Cerberus - I hear a lot said about this robot, with nothing but praise. I love the design, but lets be honest, it can't fight. It has only ever won four battles, and only one of those was under its own steam.
  • Mortis - Do I really need to say it?

Still, if anyone wants to say something, just say, I won't bite. CrashBash 06:04, April 24, 2011 (UTC)

I've always agreed with Behemoth being overrated. I also think that Thermidor 2 was overrated. It was very powerful, and flipping two robots OotA in one fight is no mean feat, but it was far too hit-and-miss for my liking. Middle Eye 16:32, April 25, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, me too. Pkmn Trainer 19:45, June 19, 2011 (UTC)

I'd like to start with a controversial one: Stinger.

Now, I know many people like Stinger, and as an idea it was good, but let me explain: IT NEVER DID ANY MAJOR DAMAGE

Unless it was spinning around, the mace couldn't really cause much damage (it couldn't even beat a plastic sandpit), and, although it was great to watch, the design had a few...control flaws (e.g. Series 3 battle 1 - need I say any more?).

Overall, I think Stinger was a good idea, but the potential was gone and people made much too big a fuss about it.

Any more suggestions? about 3 months ago''

post above this, you have taken word for word what I wrote on Facebook. I agree with you, but please, use your own ideas. --Rhysyboy 17:32, April 28, 2011 (UTC)

  • Toe-Cutter- Ok, its hardly a fan favourite, but the show really seemed determined to hype it up. It only ever sliced through a watermelon and fur, yet JP called it a deadly weapon during the fight with Panic Attack, despite not making a scratch on the Welsh Champion's shell
  • Mini-Morg- I don't hold anything personally against this robot or the team, I like them, but I really wonder why it was seeded 19 in Series 5. In Series 4 it lost in Round 1, was reinstated, then defeated Ming 2 because it broke down, and was flipped around by Firestorm 2 in the Heat Final. I have no idea why that warranted it a higher seeding than Mousetrap, Suicidal Tendencies, Atomic, 101 or S.M.I.D.S.Y., all of them either having better track records than Mini-Morg, or reached a heat final competently. Steel Avenger, Bulldog Breed or Kronic would have been more worthy of a seeding. TheStigisaRobot 00:41, May 1, 2011 (UTC)
  • Behemoth- So what if it did well in the 1st world championship? You don't put a heat finalist above a series semi-finalist full stop. I'm also looking at you, Razer and Mortis. Someone tell me why the heck was Behemoth seeded in series 7? It did next to nothing in series 5 and 6 and suddenly it's all about Behemoth again. At least Razer did something to try to justify its stupidly high seeding even though they were only side competitions. They weren't even impressive to me when I was like 7 and I was impressed by agood flip back then. At least Razer mostly fixed their reliability as time went on. Behemoth just got worse and worse. Series semi-finalist in series 2 is not a mark of status considerable enough for 16th seed, let alone 10th in series 7. I'll let Ming off as Dominator gave it to them and it seemed reasonabe compensation for the series 5 incident. Anyone can go on about Razer and the like, I don't mind (I liked Razer, so sue me. But looking at it now, they were given suspiciously easy heats circa series 3-5.), but Behemoth will always be at the top of my spoilt little robot list. Pkmn Trainer 19:12, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

In Series 2-4, Razer was highly overrated; it was far too unreliable in those wars. And giving it the third and fourth seed in Series 4 and 5 respectively was just plain favouritism. Middle Eye (Talk) 17:05, May 22, 2011 (UTC)

Despite me liking Razer, I'll side with Middle Eye and reason on this one, it was like Mortis in series 2. And the seeds for both Razer and Behemoth in series 4-5 were just extracting the urine. Make your own comments,90.207.77.199. That's just low and lazy, taking credit for other peoples comments. Pkmn Trainer 19:45, June 19, 2011 (UTC)
