Round 1[]

Warhog vs Drillzilla[]

Warhog Drillzilla
Warhog S6

  1. Warhog definitely gets chances to spin up here. I just doubt it's gonna do much. Drillzilla eventually snuffs it out and wins a large amount of uninspiring judges decisions. Drillzilla, 90/10 ThatRedOtter 19:24, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  2. Drillzilla 90/10. Y'know what, I'm also happy to give Warhog that extra 5% in case it knocks off a Drillzilla grappler thingy and pulls off an utterly undeserved DAMAGE CARRIES MORE WEIGHT win, but 10% odds still aren't great. TOAST 19:30, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  3. Given how unreliable and easy to bully Warhog was this is an incredibly easy win. Drillzilla - 95/5 Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 19:41, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  4. Contact with the cheese-soft Dreadnaut was enough to cause Warhog to fall apart internally, a solid 160kg Drillzilla will liquidise those internals when there is contact. 5/95. Jimlaad43 19:40, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  5. Drillzilla 95-5. Yeah, considering how S.M.I.D.S.Y. dominated Warhog, I just cannot see the full-body spinner doing much to the relentlessly aggressive Drillzilla. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 19:57, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  6. Drillzilla 90-10. Drillzilla would beat any incarnation of Warhog quite comfortably. Hogwild94 (talk) 20:10, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  7. 95/5 Drillzilla. I don't trust Warhog to win this at all. The only way it wins is if Drillzilla craps itself and suicide dives for the pit after a mistimed charge. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 22:12, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  8. 90/10 Drillzilla - yeah, I'm not ruling out a random explosive hit from Warhog potentially giving it a victory on the odd occasion - it isn't a machine that is completely defenceless, but Drillzilla is largely dominant of course. NJGW (talk) 23:02, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  9. 80/20 Drillzilla - much like NJGW I'm not ruling out the odd effective big hit or two, but obviously most of the time Drillzilla is heavy favourite and less likely to stop working/veer out of control. Asmazif (talk) 14:27, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
  10. An easy 90-10 for Drillzilla, the only way Warhog can win is if, for whatever reason, Drillzilla is vulnerable to spinners. CrashBash (talk) 15:28, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Warhog score: 90 Drillzilla score: 910
Winner: Drillzilla (703)

Weld-Dor vs Bamm Bamm[]

Weld-Dor Bamm Bamm

Votes
  1. I can see Bamm Bamm being left unable to self right a few times, but it still takes the majority for me. Bamm Bamm, 75/25 ThatRedOtter 19:24, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  2. I definitely do not overly trust that lifter to get Bamm Bamm over, and more likely the Dutch robot will be the dominant robot in the fight, peppering the top of the Norn Irsh bot. 20/80. Jimlaad43 19:42, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  3. Yeah the weaker armour should bend and be heavily damaged from axe attacks, but I can see Weld-Dor causing some problems along the way. Bamm Bamm - 70/30Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 19:43, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  4. Bamm Bamm self-righting is weird, it failed to do it in Series 7 but also succeeded in the Dutch Wars (might've been with the lifter attachment, but still the same mechanism). If we say that Bamm Bamm self-rights 50-75% of the time, combined with the strong unlikelihood that Weld-Dor will get it over to begin with, yeah I'm going 85/15 Bamm Bamm. TOAST 19:35, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  5. Bamm Bamm 80-20. Yeah, Weld-Dor does have a great chance here, I do see some of its lifts troubling Bamm Bamm at times. That said, I trust the Dutch machine's axe hits to give it a reliable means of scoring damage and aggression points that should see it winning more often than not. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 19:57, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  6. Bamm Bamm 60-40. I'll be more generous to Weld-Dor, as I think it has half a chance of flipping Bamm Bamm, but probably not one it'd take most of the time. Hogwild94 (talk) 20:11, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  7. 80/20 Bamm Bamm. I think Weld-Dor might end up winning a few times because of some attacks with the forks that result in it getting the upper hand, but honestly its weak shell combined with Bamm Bamm's turreted axe will mean that Weld-Dor will more often than not lose either by KO or through a judges' decision. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 22:14, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  8. 80/20 Bamm Bamm - Weld-Dor is a decent machine and may be able to wins sparingly with the right type of fight. NJGW (talk) 23:03, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  9. 60/40 Bamm Bamm - Weld-Dor is certainly in with a shot here, should be able to get underneath with the forks and steer Bamm Bamm about, though its bodywork could also easily get battered. Asmazif (talk) 15:02, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
  10. This is a hard one to judge. On paper, Bamm Bamm should win, but I could see a handful of scenarios were Weld-Dor could win. Given the early armour and dubious reliability, I'll say Bamm Bamm wins 75-25. CrashBash (talk) 15:30, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Weld-Dor score: 245 Bamm Bamm score: 755
Winner: Bamm Bamm (481)

Cutlet vs The Big Cheese[]

Votes
  1. To give Cutlet credit it wasn't a bad featherweight, and the advances in technology from its time compared to TBC, it can put up a good fight. It is a featherweight though and the sheer size is a big factor here. The Big Cheese, 70/30 ThatRedOtter 19:24, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  2. Oh yeah, this is the full Ragnabot 3 list xD 10/90. Jimlaad43 19:43, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  3. Cutlet is small and could be a problem for the larger robot to deal with but yeah...size matters here. The Big Cheese - 80/20 Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 19:45, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  4. Well this is easily the most difficult Featherweight vs Heavyweight fight to date. Not because it's hard to pick a winner, obviously The Big Cheese would be the safe bet, but by how wide of a margin? I agree with Beav that somehow this isn't a wipeout. I won't pretend that Cutlet's probably-drill-motors were in any way technologically advanced, but it will win the ground game a lot of the time, and its speed advantage should be quite significant. Cutlet naturally will not be able to lift or push The Big Cheese, but it is itself extremely unlikely to get flipped just because it's so small... man I love this format, I am legitimately expanding on why the Series 7 featherweight Cutlet has a hope against The Big Cheese... I am somehow going for The Big Cheese 75/25! TOAST 19:39, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  5. Big Cheese 85-15. Even if Big Cheese doesn't manage to flip Cutlet, which would probably be rather tricky, a judges decision would be a formality. Hogwild94 (talk) 20:13, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  6. 90/10 The Big Cheese. There's not a whole lot that Big Cheese, The can do to Cutlet, but I can't fathom how Cutlet can even do anything to warrant a win on the judges'. Its only hope is a breakdown, and honestly 10% is quite a generous margin considering how reliable Big Cheese, The ended up being. Well... there's always the pit? --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 22:17, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  7. 95/5 The Big Cheese - I do understand the logic taking place, but for me even in fights where Cutlet can be active throughout, I struggle to see how it's going to score any points. It's a big ask for it to last the distance without a hit or swing on the turn from The Big Cheese killing it off, Cutlet will likely do the "runaway runaway" tactic from its very big foe and lose on aggression naturally, and I can easily see Cutlet burning itself out multiple times. Kinda a very weird version of Firestorm vs. Bolt from the Blue, this. NJGW (talk) 23:08, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  8. 90/10 The Big Cheese - What can Cutlet do? Aside from potentially getting stuck underneath and winning a terrible judge's decision. Asmazif (talk) 15:07, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
  9. The Big Cheese 85-15. I will give Cutlet some points, since it can annoy the sluggish Big Cheese somewhat. Alas, I trust Roger Plant to find a way to win more often than not. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 21:38, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
  10. Couldn't Big Cheese just drive under Cutlet and cause it to overturn? It doesn't matter how fast it's moving. Big Cheese, 95-5. CrashBash (talk) 15:32, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Cutlet score: 145 The Big Cheese score: 855
Winner: The Big Cheese (299)

Crocodilotron vs Cruella[]

  1. Speaking of robots that are better than we give them credit for, Crocodilotion has potential to do pretty well here, and Cruella is a nice easy opponent that gives us a balanced battle! Cruella's slight advantage in experience and the wedge shape gives it the nod for me though. Cruella, 55/45ThatRedOtter 19:24, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  2. I'm leaning towards Cruella because of that wedge, but realistically this will be one of those unmemorable pre-Series 4 slow pushing battles until a House Robot gets bored and comes in to make sure the robot losing actually gets beaten up. 45/55 Jimlaad43 19:45, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  3. It may have a wedge but the slow speeds and no real offensive weaponry means it's vulnerable… really vulnerable. Crocodilotron 70/30 Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 19:46, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  4. Ooh, this is a good one. I do wonder what will be the first fight to tip me into true 50/50 territory, this is probably the best shout yet. Cruella has the better shape/wedge for pushing, and I guess more damage output (however mild), but Crocodilotron overall had more pace and aggression. I think I'll go 55/45 Cruella though. TOAST 19:33, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  5. Crocodilotron 70-30. Not sure how much each machine can realistically do to each other, but at least Crocodilotron's jaws will give it the damage points, and probably will allow it to trap Cruella for a bit too. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 19:57, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  6. Cruella 70-30. I'd say Cruella's wedge is probably better, and it looked pretty nimble, while Crocodilotron looked a bit cumbersome in the short time we actually saw it move, so Cruella gets the majority vote for me here. Hogwild94 (talk) 20:14, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  7. 50/50. This is genuinely a tough matchup, and while Cruella's wedge gives it the advantage in any head-on engagement, it was quite a slow and ponderous machine. Crocodilotron might not be the most effective with its weaponry, but the jaws will show more potent aggression for the judges' that might end up giving it a win should it come to that situation. Its actually quite hard to separate the two machines apart, and honestly? It'll probably be a coin flip either way you go at it. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 22:21, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  8. 60/40 Crocodilitron - Cruella is a wedge, but it wasn't a very good wedge and wasn't a very good machine in general. Crocodilotron is hardly extraordinary either, but Cruella will look more visually scared in most of their battles, with Cruella also likely to get itself in trouble. Crocodilotron can at least use its weaponry for slight damage too. NJGW (talk) 23:10, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
  9. 55/45 Cruella - Yeh very even and most likely a dull match, will give Cruella slightly more credit for the wedge/ground game.Asmazif (talk) 15:08, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
  10. I dunno, I think I'd put it more as a 80/20 for Cruella, personally. Having a wedge helps, and I don't see how effective Crocodilotron's jaws would even be. If anything, the 20 points it gets is due to Cruella's history of bad driving. CrashBash (talk) 19:37, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
Crocodilotron score: 480 Cruella score: 520
Winner: Cruella (573)

  1. So let's be real here, this is the biggest challenge that Drilzilla gets this entire tournament. I reckon Bamm Bamm could have a few points where it just repeatedly slams its axe into Drillzilla to get some lovely judges points, but all the same, Drillzilla, 65/35 ThatRedOtter 17:41, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  2. Drillzilla 90-10. A fairly comfortable push around and pit almost every time. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:48, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  3. Drillzilla 90-10. Drillzilla's armour is just too strong, and even Razer struggled to properly get a grip on it. Bamm Bamm almost certainly won't, and only a few axe blows could possibly give it any chance of victory here. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 17:56, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  4. Yeah easy win, rammed to death. Drillzilla - 95/5 Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 18:18, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  5. 95/5. I just can't see Bamm Bamm being able to do anything useful to Drillzilla, with the armour being so strong and with Bamm Bamm being susceptible to being pushed. Jimlaad43 19:31, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  6. 85-15 Drillzilla - Bamm Bamm is good enough, reliable enough and has a weapon capable of scoring enough points for me to give it above the 5-10 mark, but Drillzilla has all the tools to control this one the vast majority of the time. NJGW (talk) 20:48, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  7. 95/5 Drillzilla. If Firestorm wasn't able to take down Drillzilla, Bamm Bamm certainly can't. I know that a later version of Firestorm beat Bamm Bamm and not the one I am mentioning, but it still doesn't bode well for Bamm Bamm regardless. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 23:36, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  8. 85/15 Drillzilla. A pretty simple win for Drillzilla, I guess because only Bamm Bamm can score weapon points I'll give it a 15% chance, ut that's all. TOAST 16:59, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
Drillzilla score: 700 Bamm Bamm score: 100
Winner: Drillzilla (429)

  1. As much as I don't really rate The Big Cheese, it undeniably has the advantage here. Cruella wasn't that great, and The Big Cheese has the wedge and the power to be on top more often than not. The Big Cheese, 75/25 ThatRedOtter 17:41, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  2. Big Cheese 75-25. Cruella's better speed means it would stand half a chance against Big Cheese it it can avoid the lifter. But should Big Cheese catch it with it, which it would most times, it's game over. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:49, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  3. The Big Cheese 95-5. I see Cruella having no chance here. All The Big Cheese needs to do is get underneath its foe just once to achieve the lift of doom, which is easy enough considering Cruella's high ground clearance. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 17:56, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  4. Aww saddened Crocodilotron JUST missed out, anyways, a slow fight but that lifter will lift and topple Cruella...eventually. The Big Cheese - 80/20 Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 18:20, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  5. Hmm, I don't think Cruella has much hope despite Big Cheese being so slow and ponderous. But it was reliable, so it can bully Cruella relentlessly and I don't see much chance for the older robot. 85-15. Jimlaad43 19:35, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  6. Yeah, agreed with Space here. I think it's a wrap too, and highly doubt Cruella can survive long enough in any fights to cause any issues. NJGW (talk) 22:31, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  7. 95/5 The Big Cheese. You know how this goes, and it's going to go the way of the one-flip-and-done. Cruella needs a prayer in this fight. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 23:34, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
  8. The Big Cheese 95/5. It's reliable, it's lower to the ground, it has a huge weapon advantage, I don't really give Cruella any sort of hope. TOAST 17:01, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
The Big Cheese score: 695 Cruella score: 105
Winner: Cruella (83)

  3. Drillzilla 95-5. S1 Cruella might fare better here, its low enough to maybe wedge Drillzilla in the right place and pull off a surprise. This one though, nah, only an AoD breakdown is gonna win it for it here. Hogwild94 (talk) 18:59, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
