Votes for Glitterbomb
- Manta didn't get much damage against General Chompsalot, and Glitterbomb is armoured in Raex. It takes a lot for me to vote preboot spinners against reboot armour, and Manta's little spinner isn't going to do it. Manta is meanwhile a big flat surface which Glitterbomb can hit with its 1.2 tonne hammer for key aggression points. I won't give Manta the benefit of the doubt with the pit because we haven't agreed on a system about the doom dial. Glitterbomb to win a judges decision. - Yeah we have, the pit release button only opens the pit. Rogue House Robot and Fog of War are too random and non-tactical that they aren't being used. Press the button and the pit opens. Jimlaad43(talk) 08:18, October 14, 2019 (UTC)
- It was in fact one of the earliest things to be established as seen here and also is mentioned right at the top of the Ragnabot basepage. CrashBash (talk) 10:42, October 14, 2019 (UTC)
- Glitterbomb and Edge Hog in the same heat, huh? Could be interesting. Anyhow, I back Glitterbomb here, because its low ground clearance and armour will nullify Manta's most impressive attributes. With such a high ground clearance, I feel that Manta will generally become beached on Glitterbomb's wedge, allowing the pink machine the chance to not only axe the top of its opponent, but also push it around into hazards like the CPZ. I doubt Manta's spinner will cause much damage in return, and attempts to push will just result in Manta, with its high ground clearance, getting stuck on its opponent. Glitterbomb to win the judges' decision. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 08:24, October 14, 2019 (UTC)
- Up against laser-cut Raex, Manta's blade is unlikely to deal Tauron-levels of damage to Glitterbomb's hull. It can push the neon-pink machine around, but Glitterbomb has an effective wedge for getting underneath and pushing it back in return. Plus, it has an axe which is more than capable of emphasising aggression should both machines survive to the Judges. Given that Manta struggled against robots with wedges, lifters or equal drive muscle, I think it's going to struggle here. VulcansHowl 09:56, October 14, 2019 (UTC)

Votes for Manta
- Manta will be the more aggressive of the two robots, and should push Glitterbomb from the side all over the arena, nipping away with the saw. Some bent panels will be counteracted by Glitterbomb's axe damaging the top of Manta in lucky hits, but these won't be enough to stop Manta and won't be frequent enough to score enough points when it goes to the judges. - Glitterbomb will be disposed of by Manta without much fuss. Don't think Glitterbomb can outmuscle Manta easily, so eventually Manta will win through a swift pitting. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 08:02, October 14, 2019 (UTC)
- Obviously Manta won't cause any damage to Glitterbomb, but I question whether Glitterbomb, with the axe head the shape it is, will cause any damage to Manta. This also assumes it can even land a decent hit...Manta certainly wasn't afraid to charge at opponents head on, but at the same time, it was still tactical with how it charged. By that same logic, it'll keep attacking Glitterbomb from the sides, thus negating the wedge argument entirely. Really, I think the bigger issue is Manta running out of battery power....but I think it'll have Glitterbomb in the pit before then. CrashBash (talk) 10:22, October 14, 2019 (UTC)
- We can flaunt Glitterbomb's 1.2 tonne axe and Raex armour all we want, but the reverse side of the coin is that Glitterbomb's axe system was taken directly from Edge Hog, and I certainly wouldn't back Edge Hog to cause any damage to Manta. Indeed, if Glitterbomb couldn't damage Dantomkia's armour but a ram from King B Remix's spike could, then I don't think Manta's armour or internals are in any sort of danger. Of course, Manta's spinner will be useless too, but its greater speed, control and aggression should see it through. TOAST 12:01, October 14, 2019 (UTC)
- I'll go with that. In addition, Manta's weapon might not cause any external damage, but I can see it flicking Glitterbomb up slightly and enabling Manta to both get a more effective push in and deal some damage to Glitterbomb's baseplate. Combatwombat555 (talk) 12:23, October 14, 2019 (UTC)
- Glitterbomb never seemed settled in the arena. It opened its sides up a lot and swung around in tight areas. I think it's set up for Manta to push away at the sides. Toast also covers my thoughts on the axe. NJGW (talk) 12:28, October 14, 2019 (UTC)
