Votes for Cobra (UK)
- Unpopular opinion: Track-tion was the least competitive machine in all of Series 10. I am dead serious. You remember CrashBash's many comments regarding Cerberus' inability to fight? Well, at least Cerberus had evidence that it could hold its own. Track-tion could barely even move most of the time, heck, just look at how sluggish it was during the 10 Robot Rumble. Most competent robots would run rings around it, the only reason Apex lost was because Track-tion was defended by something meant for Vulture. Now, I admit that calling Cobra "competent" would mean I would massively overrate it. But at least it could move a bit before a flip from Kronic the Wedgehog messed its drives. But what can Track-tion actually do to Cobra? It is too slow really, and even Cobra could use its spike to damage Track-tion's tracks and push its Series 10 foe around. This may be a surprise, but to me, Cobra easily has this. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 11:06, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
- Of all the fights I've voted for in this tournament, this has to be the most painful one by far. I really dislike Cobra, and I should be voting it out, yet here I am putting my support for this hateful machine. But here's the thing that tips this in favour of Cobra - Track-Tion was honestly the most disappointing 'bot I've ever watched fight in all of Robot Wars. I expected a 'bot that'd harken back to the days of Suicidal Tendencies, and yet when I saw it fight I was beyond let down with how agonisingly slow it moved around the arena. In fact, I agree with Space entirely regarding that statement he mentioned - hell, I'd even say it was one of the least competitive machines of the modern series full stop. This will probably be an incredibly dull match, but Cobra is at least quicker than Track-Tion and will win on aggression. I need a drink... --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 11:48, November 19, 2019 (UTC)

Votes for Track-tion
- Track-tion should be able to quite simply slide under Cobra and wiggle it towards the pit. Cobra's spike of not-doom will do very little to Track-tion in any case, so the chance of retaliation is minimal. Jimlaad43(talk) 10:54, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
- Come on, Track-tion may have been uncompetitive for the time, but this is Cobra we're talking about. Cobra, an almost weaponless box that not only died on one side immediately in its melee, but also died on one side immediately under no pressure in Techno Games of all shows. Track-tion was pretty slow but Cobra wasn't exactly rapid either. Cobra's also got a high ground clearance (even ignoring the bevelled sides that feed robots underneath even more) that Track-tion's front forks should easily be able to get underneath and enable it to start gripping, which is more than Cobra can manage. In a pushing match, Track-tion has every advantage. Combatwombat555 (talk) 13:00, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
- Yeah, for what it's worth, at least Track-tion was somewhat competent at, well, being a robot. Cobra was just flat-out unreliable and broke down simply by moving, let alone being attacked (thanks to our resident marsupial for pointing this out). Track-tion just needs to keep moving and Cobra will eventually grind to a halt through no fault of the school-based robot. CrashBash (talk) 13:28, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
- While I can attribute its Series 7 defeat to internal damage caused by Kronic's flip (it must have done far better in its qualifier, surely?), the above comments about Cobra also losing drive on one side, on its own, in Techno Games, make me seriously doubt its durability against the glacially slow Track-tion. While footage from the Assault Course run in question suggests that Cobra is potentially the faster machine, I'd also suggest there is a possibility that if it rams the Collingwood Carnage machine early on, it may end up causing Kronic levels of damage to its own motors. Combined with a spike that jammed the moment Cobra first tried to use it, and Track-tion could very well outlive its older and sprightlier opponent here. The forks - along with the Arenas of Destruction-style beak - may also prove handy in exploiting Cobra's ground clearance, gripping and feeding it - albeit very slowly - to the hazards and House Robots. - Apparently, it beat a robot with a skull and crossbones theme. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 20:47, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
- The fact we’ll lose either Terrorpin or Robopig makes me angry considering this awful match up. Swapping sides as I pretty much forgot about the Techno Game appearance (and I'm an admin on the WIKI!) Cobra was just uncompetitive, I initially did agree the speed factor and the obvious target in the tracks would sway it but really thinking about it, Track tion can and should be able to win by doing very little, Hell it may even push and shove Cobra onto the flame pit which should be enough to kill it!Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 17:06, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
- Cobra literally lost drive immediately in its fight. Put Cobra in fights against Rapid x2 and Concussion and it too would get beaten immediately. Heck, put Chaos 2 in and it'd get as many attacks in. It's harsh to call Track-tion disappointing when it faced those robots, and it'll comfortably control the limited shots of Cobra. NJGW (talk) 17:12, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
- Cobra to beach itself on Track-tion's forks, and 20 seconds pass before Dan remembers he can drive the robot forwards, and wins the decision based on one lethargic but meaningful push. I swear, Track-tion was fully mobile against Apex and yet when I watched the fight live, it took the team far too long just to prove they were still mobile. TOAST 20:00, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
- Cobra absolutely does not dominate this fight. Track-tion is reboot quality and let's not forget, is built to push and bully, with speed purposely compromised for brute force. Meanwhile, Cobra is a two-wheeled Series 7 machine which doesn't even make use of the full weight limit. Track-tion has a pair of front forks that can get underneath and can snag Cobra in place while the crusher does its work, whereas Cobra's shape means it will likely ride up Track-tion as opposed to anything else. By the way, Cobra has a pneumatic spike that can only fire 6 times in a fight. SIX. As Nick says, put Cobra against any robots of the same quality Track-tion faced (relative to Series 7 of course) and Track-tion suddenly wouldn't seem disappointing. SFCJack (talk) 20:42, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
- Me and Doot completely understand that the Reboot machines Track-tion faced would eat Cobra for dinner, we are not debating that. What we are debating is that Track-tion was just so damn sluggish that any competent robot would run rings around it. Yes, Cobra is by no means competent, but at least it theoretically can just avoid driving onto Track-tion's forks and just attack the sides, where Track-tion would have NO resistance. I completely understand why most would disagree, but for now, I would vote all of the other current Round 1 winners over Track-tion, and that includes Terrorpin and Widow's Revenge. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 20:47, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
- Track-tion to shunt Cobra into the it easily. Hogwild94 (talk) 21:16, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
- Track-tion was at least competent, and will push Cobra around the arena and eventually into the pit. Adster1005 09:59, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
- This may be the worst battle I've ever laid eyes on. If this were almost any other Series 7 robot I might have swung the other way, but Cobra was almost as slow as Track-tion and has no way to really push it. Even if it attacks side-on, I can't see it getting enough of a push to overcome the traction advantage those big rubber treads give it. Track-tion at least has a wedge and a weapon with more than five uses. What a joke of a match. Badnik96 (talk) 17:33, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
