Triterobot vs Gyrobot

Triterobot Gyrobot
Triterobot
Gyrobot
Votes for Triterobot Votes for Gyrobot
  1. Gyrobot's spinning outside ring should find the series 3 armour pretty easy to tear apart, and it's not like Tri-Terra-Bot has any hope of responding to Gyrobot if anything goes wrong. Jimlaad43(talk) 10:54, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Because Gyrobot actually looks like it could cause damage in some form. Triterobot just doesn't have any way to do anything to most 'bots, least of all a series 7 spinner that can do some decent damage if it gets going. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 11:13, November 19, 2019 (UTC)

  7. Gyrobot can damage the arena wall, it will have no trouble here. SFCJack (talk) 20:13, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  8. Even I'm voting for Gyrobot here; Triterobot just cannot beat any non free pass. Hogwild94 (talk) 21:12, November 19, 2019 (UTC)

  10. I think Triterobot's spikes might be too high off the ground to even touch Gyrobot. Not that it'd matter if they did. Combatwombat555 (talk) 11:40, November 20, 2019 (UTC)

  1. To be honest, the wheels are the least of Spam's worries here. One hit on the armour and Ironside3 will go straight through it. This will basically be what I expected Apex vs Track-tion to actually be, where I predicted "are we going to see a robot cut in half in this battle?". Oh how right/wrong I was! Jimlaad43(talk) 10:54, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Ironside3 will demolish Spam on the first hit with its weapon. That tin-opener won't even do anything to resist. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 11:15, November 19, 2019 (UTC)

Propeller-Head vs Hammer & Tong

Propeller-Head Hammer & Tong
Propeller-Head
Hammer and Tong
Votes for Propeller-Head
  1. The spinner could fall off Propeller-Head in an attack that was clearly Hammer & Tong causing the damage, and still come out on top in the battle if it went to the judges. The much faster and better robot to push and tear away at Hammer & Tong, which won't last long at all. Jimlaad43(talk) 10:54, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Hammer and Tong's overall design is far too unwieldy to even do anything to Propeller-Head. A few hits on the sides will eventually render H&T immobile after Propeller-Head's overhead blade breaks the armour and drivetrain. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 11:18, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Yep. Some easy match ups here...Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 12:00, November 19, 2019 (UTC)

  6. Sorry Cam-Cam TOAST 19:53, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  7. Hammer & Tong is simply too cumbersome to be able to cause Propeller-Head any trouble. Should be an easy JD if not a KO. SFCJack (talk) 20:17, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  8. That armour is gonna get ripped to shreds. Hogwild94 (talk) 21:13, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  9. Hammer & Tong can't do much to Propeller-Head, Propeller-Head on the other hand... Adster1005 09:20, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  10. If Hammer & Tong had any kind of speed there'd a vague possibility of getting the killer flip, but with its glacial movement this is no contest. Combatwombat555 (talk) 11:50, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  11. Not a chance. Badnik96 (talk) 17:33, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  12. I liked Hammer & Tong, and I think it was an novel concept. Execution, sadly, was very poor, because of the lack of speed. Propeller-Head to take out its opponent's weapon, before pushing Hammer & Tong around, easily winning via a knockout or a judges' decision. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 20:01, November 20, 2019 (UTC)

Coffin-Bot vs Robo Savage

Coffin-Bot Robo Savage
CoffinBot
Robo Savage
Votes for Coffin-Bot Votes for Robo Savage
  1. Robo Savage has this easily. It should be able to keep the wheels out of the spinner (not like Coffin-Bot has the power to seriously damage them) and can shove and flip the loanerbot until something falls out inside. Jimlaad43(talk) 10:54, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  2. 2 loanerbots, and the more modern one will take this fight easily. A few flips will be more than able to make up the points, not at all mentioning that putting Coffin-'Bot into a CPZ will most likely destroy it beyond repair. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 11:27, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Tough battle. You see Robo Savage has extremely weak armour, exposed wheels as well as weak power behind the flipper. But then again Coffin Bot died to a non spinning Revolutionists ramming it into the side wall...Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 12:55, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  4. I'd hope Robo Savage would be able to stand up to a preboot loanerbot. Especially one like Coffin-Bot, that was seemingly so useless even TPTB realised this and never repurposed it for anything else afterwards. CrashBash (talk) 13:37, November 19, 2019 (UTC)

Widow's Revenge vs Major Tom

Widow's Revenge Major Tom
Widow's Revenge
Majortom
Votes for Widow's Revenge
  1. MT's flipper won't do anything here, and Widow's Revenge should find itself able to ramp under the sides of Major Tom and cause some superficial damage with its spinners. Tom to be vaguely pushed into danger repeatedly. Jimlaad43(talk) 10:54, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  2. The first 4 fights are cakewalks, but now we get into some admittedly tough fights to decide. Both these 'bots aren't the best when it comes to attacking or mobility, but I have more faith in Widow's Revenge's spinning weapons to deal more damage than Major Tom somehow finagling a one-flip-and-done on the big and unwieldy Widow. I think this will ultimately end in a judges' decision, but the damage from Widow's saw and rear drum is going to make the difference in the end. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 11:34, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  3. It won't be the most interesting battle in the world but the spinners should cause some damage and sway the victory to their hands.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 12:56, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  4. Major Tom's "flipper" seems like more of a lifter to me anyway. I get the feeling that it only goes up as far as the official shot shows anyway. Widow's Revenge was a fairly bulky machine, I don't think Major Tom has the reach to overturn it even if it props it up and keeps driving. Widow's Revenge was never going to win a heat, considering it was pretty much guaranteed to fight Razer given the circumstances, but it looked like it would have been decent against lesser-tier bots like the original Major Tom. CrashBash (talk) 13:32, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  5. Had Widow's Revenge been a one-time loser then I'd probably back Major Tom here, but I guess Sumpthing was enough of a "statement win" for me to back it here. TOAST 19:56, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  6. S4 Major Tom's lifter could lift 12st - 76kg. Widow's Revenge was the full 100kg, so I can't imagine Major Tom will be able to get the KO. Widow's Revenge at least has two spinning weapons to score aggression throughout the fight, if not damage. SFCJack (talk) 20:22, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  7. The rolling pin will throw Major Tom over! Hogwild94 (talk) 21:15, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  8. Widow's Revenge to push around Major Tom and eventually somewhere fatal. Adster1005 09:55, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  9. Widow's Revenge's spinners should do something to Major Tom's side armour, and that'll probably be enough to decide it. Combatwombat555 (talk) 11:55, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  10. Yeah I can't see this going the other way. Badnik96 (talk) 17:33, November 20, 2019 (UTC)

Loco vs MaxiMill (D1)

Loco MaxiMill (D1)
Loco
MaximillNL1
Votes for Loco
  1. You know what, I'm going to side with Loco here. It might not have been the quickest or best robot in Series 2, but it was at least vaguely durable and had enough speed to be a little trouble to others. MaxiMill on the other hand has a weapon which never worked, and didn't exactly utilise the full weight available to them - only being 4kg heavier than Loco. Loco isn't at risk of being flipped over with this opponent, so its more progressive slams and pushes will convince the judges in their favour. Jimlaad43(talk) 10:54, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  2. I'm on board with this logic, actually. Even with Maximill's weapon working, I doubt it'll be able to cut through Loco's armour. Meanwhile, Loco was quite a nippy machine, being able to push decently enough. Another judges' decision will happen, but Loco's ramming is going to be more effective. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 11:36, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Maximill is one of those robots I really like the look of for some reason. Beside that it could win with a good ram or it could get rammed to death by Loco.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 12:57, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  4. It's generally really hard to back a robot that doesn't really work properly. Considering Maximill supposedly isn't that much heavier than Loco, it can't really even win a pushing match. A surprise victory for the Series 2 heat finalist, it seems. CrashBash (talk) 13:41, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  5. I'd back MaxiMill to damage Loco's armour if it showed any pace or aggression at all, but it just seemed extremely passive to me. Loco at least had some decent pace to it and was aggressive, and should be able to deliver some decent slams. Combatwombat555 (talk) 12:07, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  6. Deciding vote here possibly, and I back Loco, for the reasons Combatwombat has stated. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 20:01, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
Votes for MaxiMill (D1)
  1. MaxiMill's blade would badly crumple Loco's paper armour even if it didn't spin. If it does spin, well, we can tall less about crumples and more about cuts. TOAST 19:57, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  2. I'm inclined to back MaxiMill here too. I don't trust their offensive capability, but I trust Loco's even less so. Static weaponry and being the lighter robot here will be Loco's downfall in my eyes. SFCJack (talk) 20:29, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Remember, this is pre Hypno-Disc armour we're dealing with; even a meh spinner can damage that sufficiently to take the judges vote here. Hogwild94 (talk) 21:16, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
But can a spinner that never spun do the damage? MaxiMill's flywheel didn't spin up in its fights. Jimlaad43(talk) 21:31, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  4. Yeah, Loco has the worse armour, and even general bumping and pushing will do some form of damage to Loco's shell. MaxiMill to edge this. NJGW (talk) 21:48, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  5. Changing my vote after looking at the robots again. Loco may be the better pusher, but what can it push against? I think its high ground clearance would ride up the stationary disc, allowing it to act as a wedge, and it can't attack from the sides thanks to Maximill's skirts. Badnik96 (talk) 17:34, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
Winner: Loco (6-5)

Cobra (UK) vs Track-tion

Cobra (UK) Track-tion
Cobra
Track-tion
Votes for Cobra (UK)
  1. Unpopular opinion: Track-tion was the least competitive machine in all of Series 10. I am dead serious. You remember CrashBash's many comments regarding Cerberus' inability to fight? Well, at least Cerberus had evidence that it could hold its own. Track-tion could barely even move most of the time, heck, just look at how sluggish it was during the 10 Robot Rumble. Most competent robots would run rings around it, the only reason Apex lost was because Track-tion was defended by something meant for Vulture. Now, I admit that calling Cobra "competent" would mean I would massively overrate it. But at least it could move a bit before a flip from Kronic the Wedgehog messed its drives. But what can Track-tion actually do to Cobra? It is too slow really, and even Cobra could use its spike to damage Track-tion's tracks and push its Series 10 foe around. This may be a surprise, but to me, Cobra easily has this. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 11:06, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Of all the fights I've voted for in this tournament, this has to be the most painful one by far. I really dislike Cobra, and I should be voting it out, yet here I am putting my support for this hateful machine. But here's the thing that tips this in favour of Cobra - Track-Tion was honestly the most disappointing 'bot I've ever watched fight in all of Robot Wars. I expected a 'bot that'd harken back to the days of Suicidal Tendencies, and yet when I saw it fight I was beyond let down with how agonisingly slow it moved around the arena. In fact, I agree with Space entirely regarding that statement he mentioned - hell, I'd even say it was one of the least competitive machines of the modern series full stop. This will probably be an incredibly dull match, but Cobra is at least quicker than Track-Tion and will win on aggression. I need a drink... --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 11:48, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
Votes for Track-tion
  1. Track-tion should be able to quite simply slide under Cobra and wiggle it towards the pit. Cobra's spike of not-doom will do very little to Track-tion in any case, so the chance of retaliation is minimal. Jimlaad43(talk) 10:54, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Come on, Track-tion may have been uncompetitive for the time, but this is Cobra we're talking about. Cobra, an almost weaponless box that not only died on one side immediately in its melee, but also died on one side immediately under no pressure in Techno Games of all shows. Track-tion was pretty slow but Cobra wasn't exactly rapid either. Cobra's also got a high ground clearance (even ignoring the bevelled sides that feed robots underneath even more) that Track-tion's front forks should easily be able to get underneath and enable it to start gripping, which is more than Cobra can manage. In a pushing match, Track-tion has every advantage. Combatwombat555 (talk) 13:00, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Yeah, for what it's worth, at least Track-tion was somewhat competent at, well, being a robot. Cobra was just flat-out unreliable and broke down simply by moving, let alone being attacked (thanks to our resident marsupial for pointing this out). Track-tion just needs to keep moving and Cobra will eventually grind to a halt through no fault of the school-based robot. CrashBash (talk) 13:28, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  4. While I can attribute its Series 7 defeat to internal damage caused by Kronic's flip (it must have done far better in its qualifier, surely?), the above comments about Cobra also losing drive on one side, on its own, in Techno Games, make me seriously doubt its durability against the glacially slow Track-tion. While footage from the Assault Course run in question suggests that Cobra is potentially the faster machine, I'd also suggest there is a possibility that if it rams the Collingwood Carnage machine early on, it may end up causing Kronic levels of damage to its own motors. Combined with a spike that jammed the moment Cobra first tried to use it, and Track-tion could very well outlive its older and sprightlier opponent here. The forks - along with the Arenas of Destruction-style beak - may also prove handy in exploiting Cobra's ground clearance, gripping and feeding it - albeit very slowly - to the hazards and House Robots. VulcansHowl 16:41, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
Apparently, it beat a robot with a skull and crossbones theme. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 20:47, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  5. The fact we’ll lose either Terrorpin or Robopig makes me angry considering this awful match up. Swapping sides as I pretty much forgot about the Techno Game appearance (and I'm an admin on the WIKI!) Cobra was just uncompetitive, I initially did agree the speed factor and the obvious target in the tracks would sway it but really thinking about it, Track tion can and should be able to win by doing very little, Hell it may even push and shove Cobra onto the flame pit which should be enough to kill it!Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 17:06, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  6. Cobra literally lost drive immediately in its fight. Put Cobra in fights against Rapid x2 and Concussion and it too would get beaten immediately. Heck, put Chaos 2 in and it'd get as many attacks in. It's harsh to call Track-tion disappointing when it faced those robots, and it'll comfortably control the limited shots of Cobra. NJGW (talk) 17:12, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  7. Cobra to beach itself on Track-tion's forks, and 20 seconds pass before Dan remembers he can drive the robot forwards, and wins the decision based on one lethargic but meaningful push. I swear, Track-tion was fully mobile against Apex and yet when I watched the fight live, it took the team far too long just to prove they were still mobile. TOAST 20:00, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  8. Cobra absolutely does not dominate this fight. Track-tion is reboot quality and let's not forget, is built to push and bully, with speed purposely compromised for brute force. Meanwhile, Cobra is a two-wheeled Series 7 machine which doesn't even make use of the full weight limit. Track-tion has a pair of front forks that can get underneath and can snag Cobra in place while the crusher does its work, whereas Cobra's shape means it will likely ride up Track-tion as opposed to anything else. By the way, Cobra has a pneumatic spike that can only fire 6 times in a fight. SIX. As Nick says, put Cobra against any robots of the same quality Track-tion faced (relative to Series 7 of course) and Track-tion suddenly wouldn't seem disappointing. SFCJack (talk) 20:42, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
Me and Doot completely understand that the Reboot machines Track-tion faced would eat Cobra for dinner, we are not debating that. What we are debating is that Track-tion was just so damn sluggish that any competent robot would run rings around it. Yes, Cobra is by no means competent, but at least it theoretically can just avoid driving onto Track-tion's forks and just attack the sides, where Track-tion would have NO resistance. I completely understand why most would disagree, but for now, I would vote all of the other current Round 1 winners over Track-tion, and that includes Terrorpin and Widow's Revenge. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 20:47, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  9. Track-tion to shunt Cobra into the it easily. Hogwild94 (talk) 21:16, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  10. Track-tion was at least competent, and will push Cobra around the arena and eventually into the pit. Adster1005 09:59, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  11. This may be the worst battle I've ever laid eyes on. If this were almost any other Series 7 robot I might have swung the other way, but Cobra was almost as slow as Track-tion and has no way to really push it. Even if it attacks side-on, I can't see it getting enough of a push to overcome the traction advantage those big rubber treads give it. Track-tion at least has a wedge and a weapon with more than five uses. What a joke of a match. Badnik96 (talk) 17:33, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
Winner: Track-tion (2-11)

Terrorpin vs Robopig

Terrorpin Robopig

Robopig
Votes for Terrorpin
  1. A first round battle between two non-trash tier Series 3 alsorans? You love to see it! Terrorpin is my choice here, it had decent fundamentals and a good round shape that should deflect Robopig whenever they try to push it away, and if Terrorpin can get around the side of Robopig, I can see it doing some decent little drives for the pig into the CPZs. This will actually be a bloody close battle when it goes to the judges, but I feel Terrorpin will just have the edge. Jimlaad43(talk) 10:54, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Both these 'bots weren't that bad for Series 3. However, I have to edge this for Terrorpin as it just seems to be the better pusher of the two, but only just. It'll be a really close fight, but unfortunately Robopig won't be able to out-push the deceptively effective Terrorpin. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 11:41, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Don’t wanna lose either robot D: I guess the pecking head should sway this. Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 12:04, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  4. A fairly standard pushing match, but Terrorpin should easily come out of this the faster and more aggressive machine. VulcansHowl 15:53, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  5. Neither robots have very effective weapons but Terrorpin has a speed advantage over Robopig who can only get up to 4mph. It should be able to push Robopig around and make some toasty bacon for the house bots. --Headbanger14/The Hardcore Kid 00:03, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  6. Maybe it is just me, but Robopig might have been too aggressive for its own good. I feel that it will generally control this matchup, but will become too eager to finish the job, and charge too quickly into Terrorpin, whose design will cause Robopig to topple itself. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 20:01, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
Votes for Robopig
  1. For Series 3 standards, I think this would have been a surprisingly enjoyable fight. The two robots may not have been great, but they were surprisingly decent and innovative for their era, with the former's adjustable-on-the-fly ground clearance and the latter's electromagnetic brakes. Also, both had very innovative weapons for what it's worth. And both worked the animal themes very well. However, I do think the slight edge here should go to Robopig, who I feel will have the better chance of pushing Terrorpin around. Also Robopig's spike is more in a position to attack Shelly than the other way around. CrashBash (talk) 13:26, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Terrorpin is presumed to win this on pushing power because it pitted something, but Robopig is the one running four motors. As far as I can tell they both use Bosch 750s so in a pushing battle between two flat surfaces, I favour the 4WD bot. TOAST 20:02, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Robopig to use its drive and superior shape for pushing to shove Terrorpin around the arena more often than the other way around. Up the Robopig! SFCJack (talk) 20:44, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  4. If the first RW magazine had been running during S3, this would've been a nailed-on fantasy fight! Robopig's greater pushing capabilities wins the day here. Hogwild94 (talk) 21:17, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  5. Terrorpin is one of those machines that has a moment that you can remember, but I'd be surprised if anybody can name anything aside from the Pitting that happened in Terrorpin's fights. That includes me too. I just rewatched the fights, and Terrorpin really does virtually nothing in the Vercingetorix fight except from the pitting push. It swerved around, didn't get a push in for ages, and went into Matilda's CPZ. Terrorpin recovered well from the moment of danger to get at Vercingetorix's rear, and then continue to push towards the Pit, but that's pretty much the only thing Terrorpin ever did. Its second round battle against Invertabrat might well be the single-most forgettable battle in Robot Wars history. Nothing happened apart from it swerving around and getting its shell dented in a bit. Robopig is the more balanced, grounded machine and I at least trust it to push cleanly and not drive itself into danger. NJGW (talk) 22:01, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
I remember Invertabrat vs Terrorpin...but only because Dead Metal drove into the pit. CrashBash (talk) 22:18, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
  6. Yep I'll back Robopig. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 09:44, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  7. This is one of the reasons I like Ragnabot, Round 1 match-ups between two "lower-tier" machines, where one is guaranteed to go through. I'll back Robopig, as I think it can push Terrorpin around the around more than the other way around, and into the House Robots, to win on a Judges' Decision. Adster1005 10:02, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  8. I've always loved Terrorpin, but Robopig is the better pusher and the better robot in general. I can see Terrorpin winning by virtue of Robopig glancing off the sloped shell and turning itself over, but I don't think that'll happen here. Badnik96 (talk) 17:33, November 20, 2019 (UTC)

  1. Damn, Daisy Cutter is just so many years too early with that concept. It'd work eventually, but it just looks so vulnerable and useless. Sir Force A Lot to tear it apart with ease. Jimlaad43(talk) 20:23, November 20, 2019 (UTC)

  3. Daisy Chopper to lose convincingly on a judges decision and then subsequently demand a recount. Neoteric vs Grim Reaper

  1. I had to go with this picture because I just hate the one we have in the main infobox, it's too dark on such a dark background. Anyway, although I could envisage Neoteric causing a little bit of damage to Grim Reaper, maybe even terminal if it gets a lucky hit on the wheels, that's like only a 5% chancer battle. This is a walking featherweight, so Grim Reaper has so much more speed and weight behind it to just shove Neoteric into the pit without a moment's notice. Jimlaad43(talk) 20:23, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  2. I love this version of Grim Reaper, it is just a shame it was so damn fragile. With that speed, I think it could have challenged a great number of Series 3 machines. Anyhow, Grim Reaper's wheels are vulnerable, but apparently Neoteric suffered mobility problems after a slam by Bernard. Henceforth, a slam from a faster, more heavier opponent, is going to wreck havoc on its mobility fairly early on. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 20:38, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  3. My fingers were drifting towards a Neoteric vote, you can hardly blame me when they appear to be the same size in the images. After reminding myself that Neoteric is a featherweight, one without a win at that, I readjusted my path. TOAST 20:41, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  4. To be fair, Neoteric may as well be a lightweight considering it's a walker and as heavy as a wheeled-lightweight. Not that this makes any difference in the long run. Lightweight Ragnabots are not so fun. CrashBash (talk) 20:46, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  5. Dunno how you find it hard to see a robot in the black background but hey. Fast and aggressive should win this providing it doesn't lose a wheel...Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 20:47, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  6. Not completely easy for Grim Reaper, but its aggression and pace should get Neoteric down. NJGW (talk) 21:03, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  7. Grim Reaper is quick enough to shoot in and crash into Neoteric and knock something loose before the blade gets up to full speed. Hogwild94 (talk) 21:11, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  8. Neoteric's a decent featherweight, but it's unlikely to stand up to a couple of slams from a fast heavyweight. Combatwombat555 (talk) 21:37, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  9. Somehow I feel like this Grim Reaper would still find a way to make this go to the judges'. But then again, Neoteric can do nothing to resist. Neoteric will be bullied and will most likely die after a high-speed ram from the S3 'bot. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 23:26, November 20, 2019 (UTC)

Demolition Man (6) vs Sater

Demolition Man (6) Sater

SaterDRW
Votes for Demolition Man (6)
  1. Honestly, to say Sater was a Grand Finalist, it was really quite crap. Only Tyke and the Series 1 crew are worse. Amongst its three wins, Sater only carried out about two attacks, heck it did the most in the battle it lost. Demolition Man bringing its weapon down onto Sater will earn more points than Sater's nagging, no matter how little damage is caused. TOAST 20:44, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Yeah, I agree. Demolition Man was gutted by Kan-Opener. In a fight where it should keep ticking along, that ungainly weapon will connect more and look visually more consistent. NJGW (talk) 21:05, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  3. I'll go with that. Sater wasn't exactly passive, but all it can really do is ram- and it didn't exactly do that competently. Demolition Man will at least look aggressive. Combatwombat555 (talk) 22:03, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  4. Strangely, I always thought Sater was 60KGs for some dumb reason. Still, for a grand finalist, Sater was one of the worst ones, always seeming to lose power somehow and its lifter being competely useless. The only thing Sater has going for it is its speed, but I think it'll just grind to a slow pace sooner or later. Demolition Man at least has some weapons that can do something to this machine, which'll at least net it a close win on the judges'. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 01:13, November 21, 2019 (UTC)
  5. Swapping sides. My knowledge on Dutch and German machines is quite minimal as it's not the series that I tend to revisit so I vaguely assumed it's lifter would work. Now knowing that it won't, I'm now doubt its ability to actually fight DM. Meanwhile, DM can use its axe and who knows maybe the wheels will score points (unlikely) whilst using that wedge to push back against Sater.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 06:59, November 21, 2019 (UTC)
  6. Completely agree with these arguments. Demolition Man should have considerably less trouble here than in a four-way melee scenario. I can't get out my head Demolition Man doing to Sater what Killertron did to Behemoth, but it surely wouldn't happen haha SFCJack (talk) 22:45, November 21, 2019 (UTC)

  1. Demiltion Man will Wolf-Whistle at Matilda, and Sater will be sent in by the triggered Twitterati to flip and burn the evil worker. Jimlaad43(talk) 20:23, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  2. I'm not really trusting Demolition Man to do anything productive. Sater to at least try. CrashBash (talk) 20:47, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Sater is not a great Grand Finalist, but I honestly feel that the sluggish Demolition Man was actually a downgrade over the nimble, aggressive Saw Point, which had decent pushing power. Demolition Man's axe was pretty poor, and I can see some charges from Sater at least doing something to score aggression and control points. Sater to win a boring battle. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 20:57, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  4. Sater was at least kind of reliable; it can just about stay alive long enough to win this. Hogwild94 (talk) 21:12, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  5. Sater actually worked for long enough to win fights, and with how slow Demolition Man was I can't see it being a threat. Badnik96 (talk) 15:10, November 21, 2019 (UTC)
  6. Sater to eventually flip Demolition Man. Also fun fact, for some reason I thought the flipper was a spinning disc, and wondered why it wasn't spinning in every fight. Adster1005 19:08, November 21, 2019 (UTC)

Tetanus 2 vs Rosie the Riveter 2

Tetanus 2 Rosie the Riveter 2
Tetanus II
Rosie the Riveter II
Votes for Tetanus 2
  1. This is a toughie, but ultimately, I back Tetanus 2. While the exposed wheels look easy to bite, I feel that Rosie the Riveter 2 will eventually drive away to prevent the tyres from bursting. But, as this battle progresses, I feel that eventually Tetanus 2 is going to push Rosie the Riveter 2 into the wall, trapping it, and enabling Tetanus 2 to attach itself on its opponent's most vulnerable area: its frame. Grab there, and Tetanus 2 can lift two of Rosie the Riveter 2's wheels off the ground, enabling it to carry its US opponent into the pit. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 20:54, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Of all the fights here, this one is probably the toughest. I can see both winning this but for now I'm backing Tetanus. I can't help but feel Rosie will get caught at one point and the crushing arm piercing a tire, deflating it and then being controlled further by the wedges of Tetanus who could then crush some more.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 21:01, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Tetanus I feel can hold its ground against Rosie's onslaughts and control it sufficiently with its weaponry to take the judges vote. Hogwild94 (talk) 21:13, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
Votes for Rosie the Riveter 2
  1. Rosie should be wedging under the many exposed surfaces of Tetanus to push it away. Tetanus's claw always seemed too slow and ponderous to be able to capitalise on Rosie if it drives into the kill-zone. There's enough floor in the wedge for Rosie to get traction on to drive away. Rosie will eventually find a way to get Tetanus stuck somewhere terminal like a CPZ or the pit. Jimlaad43(talk) 20:23, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Yeah, I can probably back this no matter what Tetanus uses. I'd argue its lifting forks would be better than its crusher, but even that was slow. CrashBash (talk) 20:53, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  3. The broad wedge on Rosie should shovel Tetanus 2 around the arena. It'll also be hard for Tetanus 2 to pin Rosie in place. Rosie's tyres are so big, and even if Tetanus 2 moves into position to harm Rosie, it will always get traction. While any time Rosie scoops up Tetanus 2 will see Tetanus 2's tiny, thin wheels taken off of the ground completely. NJGW (talk) 21:10, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  4. I've got nothing to add to NJGW's argument, to be honest. Combatwombat555 (talk) 22:06, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  5. There's a good chance that Tetanus 2 can clamp down on Rosie, but I doubt that's gonna happen as RtR2 was quite the nippy machine in its series. The slow and plodding Tetanus will struggle to get ahold of RtR2 and will more than likely find itself thrown into the pit, actually managing to fit properly this time. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 01:16, November 21, 2019 (UTC)
  6. I definitely needed time to think about this one, it's a very challenging call and I could see either robot win. By all accounts, Tetanus II shouldn't be able to catch a speedy and big-wheeled robot like Rosie and control its movements, but in fairness, Tetanus 1 shouldn't have been able to control Onslaught as effectively as it did with just a lifting spike, but sure enough it did. The reverse is also somewhat true, Rosie should not have lost to Snake Bite in Season 2. But I think NJGW convinced me that Rosie is just a step too far. Alternatively Tetanus II could just lose mobility for no reason like it did against Raging Reality. TOAST 11:31, November 21, 2019 (UTC)
  7. Rosie is maneuverable enough to avoid the comparatively slow Tetanus' weaponry and push it into things. Even if it does lose the wedge battle, I think it has enough ground clearance at the back to escape before the jaws can close in. Badnik96 (talk) 15:10, November 21, 2019 (UTC)
  8. Rosie can push Tetanus 2 around more easily, and due to Tetanus' size, it won't be able to catch Rosie. Rosie to either pit Tetanus II or win on a Judges' Decision. Adster1005 19:17, November 21, 2019 (UTC)

  1. I have always been unimpressed by this version of Thor, but it still has this easily. The front wedge should get under any part of All-Torque and can slide under really far, allowing the axe to wreak havoc on the top armour of the pre-weight increase robot. A large pepper potting and we're done here. Jimlaad43(talk) 20:23, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Typical that the Series 2 All Torque came closer to a win than this version, the Team Torque decline really is true. TOAST 20:46, November 20, 2019 (UTC)

  4. I'd argue we'd be better off with the Series 3 version proper, since the scoop set-up seems more effective than the plough and spike set-up....but it hardly makes a difference here. CrashBash (talk) 20:49, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  5. Yeah, All Torque's alternate front setup is pretty bizarre. But as Crash says, nothing will change the incoming pounding here. NJGW (talk) 21:11, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  6. S3 All Torque with the scoop might have more than a chance here, but, ultimately, Thor's hammer is just too powerful for the pre Hypno-Disc armour. Hogwild94 (talk) 21:13, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  7. Big flat top against a big hammer, and given that All Torque died twice to attacks to the top this seems fairly straightforward, unfortunately. Combatwombat555 (talk) 22:10, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  8. Something has to give and eventually, All Torque will die after repeated poundings from Thor's hammer. There's something sad when Hippobotomous did the best of the Team Torque family... --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 23:30, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  9. All Torque in the World Championship apparently had more armour, so it should be able to withstand a few more blows from Thor. Terror Turtle vs Maverick

Votes for Terror Turtle
  1. Terror Turtle may get clowned on a lot, but bear in mind that Snake Bite (which was also always outclassed by a large margin) was the only non-Heat Final quality opponent it lost to (with only the worthy Big Nipper stopping that statement being Heat Winner). It had a disc which could have been good and did at least move in its bout reliably - something which a large amount of round 1 dropouts of this tournament could only dream of. Maverick just isn't of the quality or weapon power to hold a candle to Terror Turtle, which will be the better robot, causing damage with its disc to the face on the side. The Hatchling could actually play a decent role too in this battle, generally being a nuisance and making Maverick waste its flipper. Jimlaad43(talk) 20:23, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Terror Turtle's spinner is actually quite deadly, remember it caused some severe damage to Snake Bite. So a Series 4 machine should be cut quite badly.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 20:49, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Lets remember Maverick is armoured in plastic. And good thing we agreed to use the Series 8 Terror Turtle. CrashBash (talk) 20:52, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  4. Can we get some clarification on Terror Turtle's weapon? I'm aware the Series 8 image is used to include The Hatchling, but would you like us to use the matching Series 8 disc, or the Series 10 bar spinner? Both are enough to beat Maverick but it could make the difference next time. TOAST 20:53, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
Actually, the Series 8 version was used because the Series 10 version was just rubbish, even by Terror Turtle standards. Where's the fun in using a version that dies in one hit? CrashBash (talk) 20:54, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
I mean, stick the Series 8 Terror Turtle into Concussion's drum or Matilda's flywheel and I'm fairly sure you get the same result, but fair enough. TOAST 20:59, November 20, 2019 (UTC)

  8. Ah, Hydra. I'll admit that I've always found this 'bot overrated, but this is one of the better 'bots here. Meanwhile, I would say Corkscrew was the biggest overachiever last Ragnabot, but Overkill GTI existed and somehow cheesed the stupidest win against 3 Stegs. 1. Sorry Datovidny if you are reading this, but although I am not as critical of Ming Dienasty like CrashBash is, I cannot deny just how vulnerable the machine was to wedges. I honestly feel that its ground clearance, not the drill, was its main weakness, because wedges like Buzz can easily get underneath to push its foe around. Heck, Buzz's flipper is probably perfect for toppling Ming Dienasty, and ultimately I see it exploiting Ming Dienasty's difficulty in self-righting by pushing it down the pit. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 20:29, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Ming has no purchase at all on Buzz's design, and as a result, it can't do a thing. I was quite vocal about Ming not being able to beat ANY decent flipper in our Series 7 league and Buzz certainly had a flipper capable of inverting an opponent, soooo....CrashBash (talk) 20:41, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  3. I'm quite the critic of Ming Dienasty myself and honestly it didn't seem effective what so ever, was bullied easily and having a drill that might have scratched something? So I can see Buzz ramming in and bullying Ming very easily.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 20:53, November 20, 2019 (UTC)

I realised that I may have been thinking of Zorro :P For whatever reason I had mixed up the two's fights. Will adjust that.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 07:42, November 21, 2019 (UTC)
  4. Buzz had issues, but it looked lively enough at times for me to trust it here. Think it's going to be easier for Buzz's general driving and a lift or two, to override a few niggling attacks from Ming Dienasty. NJGW (talk) 21:23, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  5. I am well aware that Buzz conked out after relatively light blows from Ninjitsu - and was momentarily stunned in its US Season 2 melee - but its wedges should exploit the ground clearance that Ming Dienasty's bumpers handily expose. Expecting a few lifts and an occasional flip to secure the Judges' decision for the X-Bots machine. VulcansHowl 14:37, November 21, 2019 (UTC)
Votes for Ming Dienasty
  1. Does anyone else think those eyes make Buzz look like it's a weaponless stock robot from Extreme Destruction? Anyway, Ming Dienasty might struggle with the wedges at the front of Buzz, which it will struggle to push, but it needs to get in from the side and Buzz will be gone. Too low for the drill, but the fundamentals of Ming Dienasty vastly outstrip those of Buzz. Jimlaad43(talk) 20:23, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
Yeah, it basically has the same eyes as Odin. NJGW (talk) 21:23, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Don't worry, I'm happy to take over from Datovidny as the resident Ming Dienasty fanboy. Buzz was fairly well driven and had a decent weapon for Extreme Warriors but it was extremely cumbersome and awful at turning. This will allow Andrew Cotterell to easily drive around to the sides of Buzz and attack its exposed wheels flat, vulnerable side armour. Some good drives across the metal floor will secure this for Ming. TOAST 20:51, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Im also on board. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 21:11, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  4. Ming DieNasty is solid enough to avoid Buzz's flipper and use the drill thing to stab stab stab away a la an AoD 'drill' weapon and win on minor damage. Hogwild94 (talk) 21:16, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
  5. This is a really tough fight, but this side has swayed me with their opinions. The drill isn't the weapon Ming is gonna use - its gonna be pure brute force. The drill is totally ineffective, but Ming Dienasty was still quite a quick machine in its own right, fast enough to manoeuvre around Buzz and push it about the place. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 01:21, November 21, 2019 (UTC)
  6. The Ming team had a long line of decent robots by the time Series 7 rolled around. Buzz was made by the same guy who built Flippa. Neither of these robots really have knockout power so I have to give it to the team that has a history of reliability. Badnik96 (talk) 15:10, November 21, 2019 (UTC)
  7. Ming Dienasty to ram into Buzz repeatedly to win via a Judges' Decision. Adster1005 19:29, November 21, 2019 (UTC)
  8. I'm more convinced by this side. The Ming team should be experienced enough to know better than to drive up the flipper of Buzz. SFCJack (talk) 22:49, November 21, 2019 (UTC)

  1. What a draw! If Terror Turtle can escape the heats it'd be an even bigger meme than Ruf Ruf from last time! Jimlaad43(talk) 10:14, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Terror Turtle made it to round 3 last time, and it'll do it again. Loco can't really resist even a weak cuttingweapon like Terror Turtle's and it'll be cut up and pushed around the place. That, and the Hatchling should be able to disorient the S2 'bot enough for the Turtle to really deal some damage. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 10:50, November 22, 2019 (UTC)

Track-tion vs Robopig

Robopig
Votes for Track-tion
  1. Nah I don't agree. I was happy for Robopig to beat Terrorpin as they shared similar speeds, but how is a 4mph robot supposed to "run rings" around Track-tion? Robopig can't even push Track-tion effectively as it has so much, well, traction! Robopig's only form of offense will be fairly useless here, and Track-tion has all the time in the world to get even one claw attack in, which would damage the plastic shell of Robopig. TOAST 12:11, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Sorry but I’m also on this side. In our haste to be rid of Tracktion there are some dubious votes going on. I wouldn’t back Robopig against Suicidal Tendencies or 101 and so it’s very hard for me to say the same for Tracktion. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 13:04, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
I would actually back Suicidal Tendencies and 101 against Robopig too. The difference between them and Track-tion is that they actually had some pace, whereas Track-tion never did. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 13:11, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Track-tion has nearly every single advantage going for it. Except for the weapon, they're about as equally ineffective as each other. Robopig's high ground clearance is ultimately going to cause it more trouble than it's worth. Remember that that was what ultimately let it down against Napalm. I'm not saying Track-tion will overturn Robopig in the same way, heaven forbid, but the point still stands. CrashBash (talk) 14:20, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  4. Track-tion to outpush Robopig into the house robots eventually, Track-tion to win on a Judges' decision on aggression and control. Adster1005 16:33, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  5. I like the idea of Robopig making the heat final, and it was a good machine by Series 3 standards, but it is too slow to outmanoeuvre Track-tion. Datovidny (talk) 17:39, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
Votes for Robopig
  1. Now it's actually up against a robot that can move effectively and not break down at the first sign of contact, we can talk about Track-tion's inabilities to move and attack. Robopig to run rings around Track-tion and will try to push it on the tracks around the arena. To no avail of course, but by trying it'll have done a lot more than Track-tion does in return. Jimlaad43(talk) 10:14, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  2. I voted for Cobra to beat Track-Tion. Effin' Cobra. That says everything you need to know. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 10:48, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Nope Toast, I am not agreeing with that, henceforth why I am hoping Robopig can end Track-tion's reign of terror once and for all. Track-tion never demonstrated speed anywhere close to Robopig, so yes, Robopig can easily edge out its opponent. Shoves to the sides will score a large number of aggression and control points, while I doubt Track-tion will actually land an attack. Robopig to control this match, easily winning a Judges' decision. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 12:14, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
Have you ever tried pushing a tracked object sideways? It's not called Track-tion for nothing, even the strongest pushers in Robot Wars will struggle to shift a tracked robot sideways. Unless it's Trax. TOAST 12:39, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
That is why I said shoves, instead of pushes, where collisions might move Track-tion a tiny bit, but will not be that effective. That said, shoves count as aggression, more than what Track-tion can do here. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 13:11, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  4. Now we can judge Track tion properly. I fear people will use the "itz a reboot robutt hurr durr" argument here but surely Robopig should win this. It's faster and far more aggressive than Track tion will ever be. I think another think people MUST REMEMBER is that aggression outweighs damage which ironically Robopig manages to do both here as Track tion will be too slow and cumbersome to actually do anything.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 15:19, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
In what universe is 4mph (Robopig) faster than 9mph (Track-tion)? CrashBash (talk) 15:48, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
At least Robopig moved across the arena quickly enough despite being 4MPH. Track-Tion felt like it moved at 0.9MPH, if that. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 15:55, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  5. I appreciate the effort of the Collingwood Carnage team in transforming a reconnaissance robot into a potentially competent fighter, but have to wonder whether their lack of driving experience might undermine Track-tion's chances here. Robopig at least had a chance to show its worth by pushing an erratic Bulldog Breed and a fully working Napalm around, so it may end up taking full advantage of Track-tion's inexperience by pushing it towards the CPZs while the team struggle to get it going. Unless Will Thomas can teach his pupils how to do Razer-style tactics, Robopig may be bringing home the bacon in this one. VulcansHowl 17:26, November 22, 2019 (UTC)

Hydra vs Ming Dienasty

  1. Hydra has the ground clearance and powerful flipper to easily slide under Ming and toss it over repeatedly. Ming to be left stuck upside-down eventually, probably in a CPZ. Jimlaad43(talk) 10:14, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  2. It's a relief that Ming Dienasty prevailed over Buzz, but Hydra is a very unlucky draw. I had Ming pegged at the bottom of the Top 8 from these sixteen robots, but the 50/50 chance went against its favour. TOAST 12:12, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Lather rinse and repeat everything I've said before about Ming Dienasty and flippers, especially since Hydra typically seemed to prefer using its flipping arm anyway. CrashBash (talk) 14:38, November 22, 2019 (UTC)

  6. Ming Dienasty to be flipped. Adster1005 16:34, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  7. Typical, I miss its mighty First Round triumph, and now it gets given the unlucky draw. I'm sure we can all agree that Dieenasty wins against every other robot in this heat with ease and is a deserving Quarter Finalist no question right? But I'll hold my hands up and admit Hydra's sleek wedge enables Hydra to slide under Dienasty and toss it around for five minutes. Neither robot is going to get the KO, and this actually has the potential for a good spectacle, at alas the mighty shall fall. Miffed. Datovidny (talk) 17:47, November 22, 2019 (UTC)

Votes for Widow's Revenge Votes for Rosie the Riveter 2
  1. Both of these robots have pretty much the same design at the front - a wedge with a spinner on it. Rosie's is better as the saw is hidden in it, meaning it doesn't really get in the way of being a wedge. The exposed wheels will actually help here if Widow's Revenge manages to get a push in as they will allow it to reverse off from any angle. Rosie is more likely to shove Widow's Revenge into a CPZ or the pit than vice versa, so they get my vote. Jimlaad43(talk) 10:14, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Well I'm glad Jimlaad has something to say about this fight, because no one else will. Very easy decision. TOAST 12:37, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Lets not forget that Rosie also has "wedge-killers" at the back, so if it wanted to, it could just reverse into Widow's Revenge and push it that way. Regardless, it should have its way. CrashBash (talk) 14:40, November 22, 2019 (UTC)

Robo Savage vs Thor (7)

Votes for Robo Savage
  1. If Robo Savage can keep the pressure on Thor, flipping it over all the time, Thor won't be able to deal with it as it looked a little awkward self-righting, and Robo Savage can capitalise all the time. It should resist the axe enough times to find a killer flip or pitting. Jimlaad43(talk) 10:14, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
Votes for Thor (7)
  1. Problem is, Robo Savage never kept the pressure on anything. Its flips were often mistimed, and even when they did, they were hardly gutsy. This is especially a problem against a large, bulky design like Thor. Speaking of Thor, it has a more experienced driver than any of the BotS drivers and so is more likely to punish mistimed flips by its opponent with some good hits at the top. In addition, it is less likely to expose its sides to Robo Savage unlike Soldier Ant, so it is more likely to keep up the pressure. In the end, even if Robo Savage does achieve a flip or two, Thor will self-right and just punish its opponent with some good hits and shoves via the wedge. This will probably end in a Judges' decision, but Thor easily has this. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 12:04, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
    This battle is a Jason Marston-off as well! Jimlaad43(talk) 12:05, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Jason Marston to give Robbie Savage some dodgy advice, telling him that the first robot to dive into the open pit is the winner. Nah though, Robo Savage's top armour was thin and largely decorative, and mentor Jason is leagues ahead in terms of driver skill compared to his apprentices. In fairness though, you could probably give Robo Savage back to its original builders and I still wouldn't back Robo Challenge Savage to beat Thor here. TOAST 12:24, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Driving skill and weak armour are the determining factors. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 13:05, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  4. What if Thor manages to land a hit on Robo Savage's flipper and break it? Dee managed. What then? CrashBash (talk) 14:42, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  5. I repeat what i said in my previous statement. Robo Savage had weak armour, terrible control, poor flip power and exposed wheels. Need I say more? Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 15:22, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  6. Thor to keep pushing and keep hammering down to win a victory on aggression, damage and control. Adster1005 16:36, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  7. This Thor is currently on a crash course to meeting its modern form at this rate. Robo Savage won't be able to trouble this machine and it will be battered and KO'd after a few axe blows. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 17:21, November 22, 2019 (UTC)

Propeller-Head vs Gyrobot

Propeller-Head Gyrobot
Propeller-Head
Gyrobot
Votes for Propeller-Head
  1. Well for one thing, neither spinner was reliable. Henceforth, I suspect the first couple of collisions will render both weapons inoperable. So who wins the pushing battle? Propeller-Head, as proven against The Revolutionist, can somewhat push circular shapes around quite easily even if its opponent is still spinning. Seeing as Gyrobot is a circular shape, I see it struggling to outpush its American opponent, meaning that even if Gyrobot actually rips off Propeller-Head's weapon, it is going to lose based on the amount of pushing Propeller-Head will achieve afterwards. Propeller-Head to either win via a Judges' decision or by achieving a pitting late on. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 11:40, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  2. I just can't unsee The Revolutionist in Gyrobot. I know I've said before that The Revolutionist was certainly capable of dealing with Propeller-Head, although that was more in regards to the insane decision to add those ropes in the Mayhem...but it's still hard to argue against what was seen. Especially considering that Gyrobot didn't come across as all that authoritive in either of its battles. Sure, it may win on damage, but it won't win on aggression or control. This could be the tightest clash of this particular round. CrashBash (talk) 14:45, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  3. Originally I was set on voting Gyrobot here but upon reading the above answers and completely agree with them.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 15:25, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  4. This really does remind me of Propeller-Head's fight against The Revolutionist. However, this is an easier victory as it can push Gyrobot around the place and not have to worry about the ring spinner doing anything to impede Propeller-Head's armour. This will go to the judges', but I think Propeller-Head's better control will manage to beat out Gyrobot's damage in the end. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 15:46, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  5. Propeller-Head to do slightly more damage to Gyrobot, and win on aggression and damage. Adster1005 16:40, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
Votes for Gyrobot
  1. Two decent-ish spinners here facing off, so we're expecting a good meeting of the two weapons at some point. I just can't see Propeller-Head getting through the armour of Gyrobot when it's spinning, and it'll be that time the weapon pinged off coming back to haunt it as Gyrobot should be able to keep going once the blue spinner pops out, chasing and hurting the box robot until time runs out. Jimlaad43(talk) 10:14, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
  2. Again this is a difficult one, PH proved its power, but due to being a blade it is more vulnerable than Gyrobot. The question is whether Gyrobot is any more powerful than The Revolutionist, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt based on the two-year advantage and it's more compact design.
