#Y'know what, maybe I am bias towards Big Nipper but at the same time I'm joining Nick here. As pointed out in Series 10, Carbide made impact to Big Nipper and caused no damage. I find it a shame Big Nipper was KO'd early on by Gabriel because I think it may have given Carbide some trouble. For starters the flywheel could have caused some lifts upon impacting Carbide, which in turn would have caused the bar to hit the arena floor, potentially stopping it briefly which then could allow for a split second hit from Big Nipper to hit the chain. Obviously, that requires luck but what doesn't is Big Nipper's durability and aggression which can occour by it running around Carbide to hit the sides or back end. There's also that scoop which does exist (although I am hesitant to use this as a reason) For me its a battle of avoiding the bar and going in when it's safe.<font color="red">Diotoir</font><font color="black"> the</font><font color="red"> son</font><font color="black"> of</font><font color="red"> nemesis</font> (talk) 06:50, January 28, 2020 (UTC)

#Yeah, I'll back this side as well. If Big Nipper can bare the brunt of early Carbide hits, I can see it giving them some trouble. It's important to remember Carbide didn't get the attack on Big Nipper that disabled part of its drive - that was Gabriel's doing. Big Nipper with the claw configuration did well to get underneath robots like Apollo and overturn them using the weapon, so they're more than controlled enough to give Carbide some real problems here throughout the fight. This combined with Nick's points regarding their resilient armour, is enough to give them my vote. SFCJack (talk) 10:32, January 28, 2020 (UTC)

#Big Nipper is unlucky to face Carbide here as I can see it winning against the other two robots here. It would be better to use the claws and try to get under Carbide, lift it and force the spinner into the floor and try to push away from there, but that just won't happen for the full 3 minutes. Big Nipper just doesn't have the wedgey shape required to resist the spinner, and will eventually be shredded. #I definitely think Big Nipper has a better shot than Magnetar, and threatens to win this match. If it could enter the fight with its lifting wedge then all of a sudden I reckon there would be a slight Big Nipper majority, but unfortunately that luxury is afforded only to the Track-tion team. I also think the claws setup stands a good chance of beating Carbide, as it would be able to slip under the bar and allow the titanium brick to complete some pushes, but it wouldn't be able to complete a lift due to the risk of Carbide's bar falling on top of the robot or hitting the claws. It would essentially be a flat wedge, which might be enough, but I'm not confident enough to back it. Here's my concerns. Big Nipper stood up beautifully to the one hit it took from Carbide in reality, taking essentially no damage at all, but I'm conscious of Carbide's condition at that point in time. After a full three-minute slug with Gabriel which later forced intensive parts repairs that nearly put Carbide out of the competition, Carbide was likely running its bar at a reduced speed to preserve enough battery to survive the match, without also disabling the bar completely as if to say 'my weapon's dead'. This hit was also directly on the side of Big Nipper, whereas Carbide would normally aim for what is going to be Big Nipper's largest weakness here, its flat corners. Although the armour of Big Nipper is extremely strong, it's still a 110kg robot at the end of the day, and any big hit from Carbide will send it spinning away upon connection with the flat corners. The damage may be lower than usual, but Big Nipper won't be causing any, and its own control is somewhat limited by Carbide's blows. My final concern is... what if the team did put the spinner on? We take it for granted that Big Nipper will use its defensive weapons, but when they fought Carbide in Series 10, they did not. Their intention to use the wedge at first shows that they were trying to counter Carbide rather than Gabriel, and for whatever reason, they seemed to think the vertical disc was a wiser choice than the claws. I definitely considered a Big Nipper win by wedging Carbide around the arena, or even trying to pinch the weapon shaft, but I can't quite do it. Congratulations Carbide. <span style="font-family:Pirulen; font-size:10pt"><font color="maroon">T</font><font color="ff8c00">OAS</font><font color="maroon">T</font></span> 10:07, January 28, 2020 (UTC)

#Remember when Big Nipper fought Supernova in its Series 8 Group Battle? Sustained collisions with the latter's flywheel caused its own disc arm to bend and be temporarily put out of commission for the Head-to-Head stage. Even if the opportunity to damage Carbide's more vulnerable sides and wedge is tempting, any collisions with the bar will only leave that arm in a similarly-twisted state. With that in mind, I can see Team Titanium being better off using the claws, but even then they're more liable to getting broken if they so much as clip the bar. Like others, I'm genuinely mystified as to why Big Nipper's scoop weapon caused issues with the producers and not Track-tion's loaned wedge; the scoop would've probably made for a more even contest had it not been outlawed. However, as we are only considering Big Nipper's TV armament, I regret to say that there's very little it can do to stop the Carbide crusade at this point. #:Probably because Track-tion vs Apex was kids vs a 40kg spinner and the producers didn't want it to be over in one hit, so they allowed the wedge to give the kids a chance of letting the fight last longer than that single...hit....... #I feel like Hypno-Disc's defeat at the last hurdle before the Grand Final is a good time to pay tribute to the best-performing classic series bots from the last two Ragnabots. In Ragnabot 2, our top four preboot machines were Atomic (4th), Typhoon 2 (6th), S3 (7th), X-Terminator (8th), and the 9th placers (Anarchy, Tornado, Raging Reality & Tsunami). This time, we see Typhoon 2 perform best and someone out of X-Terminator and Hypno-Disc take second and third, followed by the 9th placers (Spawn Again, Wheely Big Cheese, Manta, Rosie the Riveter II). Only two robots shared between each! Big shout-outs to Cedric Slammer for getting 17th place in both of the last two Ragnabots, and to all of the heroic 17ths like Texas Tornado, Overkill GTI, GBH 2 and Corkscrew Two. Now we just have to see whether Hypno-Disc can edge out X-Terminator! RAPID meanwhile, gets a guaranteed Top 3 finish, almost unnoticed - can they go one better? <span style="font-family:Pirulen; font-size:10pt"><font color="maroon">T</font><font color="ff8c00">OAS</font><font color="maroon">T</font></span> 10:08, January 28, 2020 (UTC)

#Cheers lads, though it has to be said, RAPID was very lucky to draw Hypno-Disc here. But in keeping with how well robots like Spawn Again gave Hypno-Disc trouble, a reboot flipper of RAPID's power should have no issues here. Votes for Rapid
1. Rosie joins the OotA list here. It's completely outclassed with US ground clearance against a proven rebOotA robot. Jimlaad43(talk) 09:54, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
2. Yeah, Rosie will be flying into space. Adster1005 10:02, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
3. There goes Crash's last robot, in to the atmospshere somewhere.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 10:11, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
4. Rosie's best hope was a few votes against Wheely Big Cheese. It was never likely to do well, but still extremely pleased to see it get this far! TOAST 10:27, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
5. RAPID scores an out of the arena against Team Tetanus' least favourite robot. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 10:39, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
6. Yeah, Rosie's likely going out of the arena here. Time to prove those wings aren't purely decorative. Combatwombat555 (talk) 11:50, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
7. "Rosie didn’t need an ejector seat… Rapid ejected her from the arena anyway! Let's hear it, for Rapid!" – Craig Charles (probably) VulcansHowl 12:38, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
8. To be fair, I knew my run in the sweepstake was going to come to an abrupt end no matter who Rosie got drawn against. But considering I did far better than I ever expected, given I had a comparatively terrible selection, I'm fine with all this. At least I'm confirmed not-last. CrashBash (talk) 15:35, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
9. Fitting that a 'bot that looks like a plane gets sent out the arena. Ah, well. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 16:43, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
10. Easy series of flips sees Rapid comfortably win this one. Hogwild94 (talk) 18:54, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
11. Yeah, Rosie will be flipped like a pancake until either something comes loose or it finds itself OOTA. SFCJack (talk) 21:18, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
12. Easy street for Rapid. Might go the distance if Andy still plays with the handbrake on. NJGW (talk) 23:14, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
13. Rosie has so much ground clearance, and Rapid is well controlled and has the flipper. I suspect this could be over within 30 seconds. Raz3r(talk) 16:38, January 26, 2020 (UTC)

Votes for Big Nipper
1. Aha! Now I can use my trap card! The votes thus far are ignoring the fact that Big Nipper had interchangeable weapons are simply judging it by the official image. Big Nipper has fought Behemoth with the claws in the Live Events and won quite impressively (one example here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9VHG_N4nmg ) Behemoth will inevitably get flips in but if Big Nipper uses the claws it will win the fight by control and lifts alone. So what about the flywheel? Well, again I can see Big Nipper winning this. I won't lie Behemoth is at more of an advantage if Big Nipper uses the flywheel but as we've seen time and time again, vertical flywheels are in a sense Behemoth's kriptonite, able to literally throw Behemoth over andcould event cause internal damage (see Sabretooth and Magnetar for example) I think people are too easily passing this off (especially Toon's awful vote) when really this'll be a proper 3 minute fight with both robots performing at their best, but I feel Big Nipper's control, aggression and most certainly damage will sway this.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 10:18, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
Trap card? What trap card? To be honest, I feel Behemoth would lose against any of the reboot machines here. RAPID would have overturned Behemoth enough times to win a Judges' decision, whereas Magnetar surely would not repeat the same mistake twice. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 10:42, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
I expected Behemoth to collect votes because "hurr durr Behemoth" but also I mentioned a while back I had evidence against Behemoth if it fought Big Nipper which I did :P Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 11:23, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
2. Agree with Diotoir here, Big Nipper is much more dependable in a high pressure situation. Wish it was beating Arena Cleaner instead, sad times. TOAST
3. Since I backed Diotoir to beat Behemoth earlier on, I have to vote for Big Nipper, who has a better, more reliable design that should eventually secure the knockout. If it equips the claws, well it is a happened situation. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 10:42, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
4. I have to think that Big Nipper would use the claws here- the team knows they can beat Behemoth quite handily with them, there's no reason not to use them. Big Nipper just seems a better control bot than Behemoth, and can recover far quicker from being flipped than Behemoth can. Combatwombat555 (talk) 12:01, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
5. I remember this matchup having a 3-5 vote in Behemoth’s favour in Audited Series 10, which sadly I wasn’t able to make my mind up about at the time. However, considering that Big Nipper was content with using the claws from the 10 Robot Rumble onwards, and got some decent lifts/grabs in this and the World Series, then I think there is a good chance of it repeating that particular FRA quarter-final performance here. Behemoth will try its absolute best to ram, flip and possibly stack Big Nipper against the pit release button – as it did at one point during another Robots Live!/FRA battle – but the slipperiness and near-flawless self-righting capabilities of Team Titanium’s machine will make that task more difficult. Both will put on an aggressive and entertaining display, with Big Nipper earning the Judges’ decision for getting more use out of its weapon and drive. VulcansHowl 12:38, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
6. I need to sit and think on Magnetar vs Carbide, but I think Diotoir's little video says all that needs to be said. Behemoth might be able to beat Big Nipper with the spinner, but that's not what we're looking at here. CrashBash (talk) 15:39, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
7. No repeat of Behemoth's improbable silver medal in Ragnabot 2 sadly; the anti spinner scoop will largely be of little use and any aggression flipping Big Nipper will cause would be outweighed by the damage and aggression of the spinner. Hogwild94 (talk) 18:55, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
8. I'm surprised this is so one-sided, but I'll happily support Big Nipper as well. With the flywheel, I believe it can cause visible, consistent damage to Behemoth and with the claws, I think it can grab and control as we know it can. SFCJack (talk) 21:21, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
9. Yeah, all has been said above and in my votes between these two in the past. Big Nipper marches on! NJGW (talk) 23:15, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
10. Big Nipper gets to kill off the runner-up of Ragnabot 2 with relative ease. If it uses the claws, then... well, that vid shown says it all. But if Big Nipper brings out the flywheel, then its going to either hit Behemoth on its side to cripple it or it can slide the weapon into the slits of the scoop to dent up the weapon and make it less useful. No matter what, Behemoth is doomed, and Big Nipper continues its dream run in Ragnabot 3. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 11:38, January 26, 2020 (UTC)
11. If Big Nipper uses the spinner this is a tough fight to decide. However, with the claws equipped, Big Nipper has been shown to take control of a fight with Behemoth easily. I don’t see why this wouldn’t happen again. Raz3r(talk) 16:41, January 26, 2020 (UTC)
Votes for Behemoth
1. Big Nipper may be decent with the flywheel, which could cause some damage to the scoop or sides of Behemoth, but Big Nipper just seems like the compact kind of shape that Behemoth can scoop up and shove wherever it likes. Big Nipper to be dumped in the pit is what I'd expect to see here. Jimlaad43(talk) 09:54, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
2. Behemoth can run into Big Nipper and slam it into the walls. It can also be delivered to House Robots, and whilst Behemoth might come away with some scratches, I think a pitting might be in order. And if Carbide does go, Behemoth might reach the Top 2 again. Adster1005 10:04, January 25, 2020 (UTC)

1. Everyone writing this tournament off as a Carbide victory seems to have forgotten the other robot here which could stop Carbide. Magnetar is an improves version of Pulsar, which has a history of stopping massive spinners in its path. Ironside3 has been beaten multiple times (although with those two it's a coin toss), and Magnetar was upgraded to basically make sure it beats Ironside3 each time. But the most telling is how an unreliable Pulsar managed to destroy Supernova with a weapon collision. When Carbide and Magnetar hit, the even faster drum on Magnetar will come out on top, pinging Carbide away at massive speeds. Carbide's weapon reliability wasn't impervious, and a big hit damaging the weapon chain on Carbide isn't unlikely here. A weaponless Carbide was never that great, and even a weaponless Magnetar would win that fight, as its wedge is a lot more optimised to get under Carbide and push it about. Magnetar solved the problems Pulsar had and dialled the weapon up to 11. I'm just sad the srimech issue hampered it in the final, because it was the Carbide killer I had tipped for the Series 10 title, and we were denied a smashing battle. Jimlaad43(talk) 09:54, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
2. Except me Jimlaad, Magnetar was the only robot remaining that I think has any chance of beating Carbide! The wedge factor gives me enough confidence to go for Magnetar here. In this battle, I believe the first spinner-to-spinner collision will take out both weapons, by knocking out Carbide's weapon belt and causing terminal damage to Magnetar's drum. And from then on? Providing both robots retain their mobility, Magnetar wins, because it has the much better shape for wedging underneath and pushing its foe. Carbide is doomed the moment it loses its spinner's functionality, because it lacks a plan B. Magnetar to take full advantage, either pitting its opponent or winning a Judges' decision on aggression and control. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 11:21, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
3. Now, here's where I believe we have a genuine 'Carbide killer' on our hands. One of the few Discovery-era BattleBots fights I've managed to watch is Witch Doctor vs Tombstone from last year's Twitch event, which turned out to be a spectacular and sweet revenge for the former. While it is difficult - and arguably unfair - to directly compare 2017 Robot Wars entries with 2019 BattleBots machines, Magnetar for me has similar qualities to Witch Doctor in that it has a drisc-type weapon and a team who were confident in dealing spinner-on-spinner blows. It can use the drum to damage Carbide's less durable armour and send it recoiling, while its thick HARDOX hull should stand up well to any hits it receives in return. Carbide's weapon system will no doubt begin to suffer as it is being thrown around; if direct damage to the shaft and chain won't stop the bar, then the constant strain placed on the 'Bille-tek' motor will. Should these weapon-on-weapon blows disable Magnetar's drum, it also has the wedge shape and drive power to push Carbide Terrorhurtz-style into the walls and hazards, scoring valuable aggression and control points while causing even more recoil damage to the reigning champions. Carbide won't be getting any points for recoiling against Magnetar or anywhere else, and if it loses the bar spinner under any circumstances, it's done for. This is without a doubt the reboot’s equivalent to Razer vs Hypno-Disc, and for me, a fight where the strengths of Team Ranglebots’s machine can truly shine. VulcansHowl 12:38, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
Much as I don't want to discredit Witch Doctor's win, it seems unfortunately clear that Tombstone had drive issues from the outset. Witch Doctor's drum was also completely written off in the exchange, which I believe Magnetar is at risk of too. TOAST 12:42, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
4. Remember when I said that Magnetar and Eruption were the last hopes to defeat Carbide? Yeah, because this was the exact god-damned matchup I was hoping would happen. Carbide may seem almost invincible, with its big spinning bar of death, decent reliability and precision engineering to make it the most dangerous 'bot of the UK, but against a 'bot like Magnetar, which is low to the ground and has a wedge designed to scoop up spinners, this will be the first time that Carbide will be completely unable to do anything. The only hope that Carbide has to cripple Magnetar is to attack the rear as the sides protect Magnetar well enough, but it has to go quite a way around seeing as Magnetar is both wide yet short at the same time. If Carbide manages to collide with the front, then it will get bounced up and ready to get an uppercut to the base courtesy of Magnetar's spinning drum of death, which will most likely cause some mobility problems on that impact. If Carbide gets thrown onto its back, then it is well and truly dead in the water as that bar will not be able to reach Magnetar in any way aside from the drum, which will cause severe damage. Eventually, Carbide's spinning bar will give out as that weapon really starts to struggle if pressured hard enough, so all Magnetar has to do from here on in is to smash Carbide into immobility or into the pit. I really do hope Magnetar wins this, because if not, then Carbide will blatantly curbstomp everything else left... --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 16:49, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
5. Magnetar had improved considerably by now, whereas Carbide had largely stood still. Carbide has more body for Magnetar to try and hit and is more prone to being thrown over by a large impact. Hogwild94 (talk) 18:57, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
6. I don't like this battle. At all. It would have been awesome to see, don't get me wrong, but the fact that we didn't see it (and never would have done even if Robot Wars had continued, what with Carbide's retirement afterwards and all) means we have way too many unknowns to deal with. Magnetar never faced a top-tier spinner, which means there's no way of knowing what might happen if it gets a heavy hit. Conversely, Magnetar's weapon is the one type of spinning weapon Carbide never faced (and it fought nearly every other), so there's no way of knowing what may happen upon that first contact. Both weapons could theoretically die in the first impact (but if that's the case, then Magnetar comes across as being the better equipped to win the pushing match). Magnetar could easily have a reliability issue, but then Carbide wasn't entirely perfect with this either. We know both robots begin to struggle if they can't finish the fight immediately. I'd probably have to try and do a full analysis on this to decide the winner, something that I don't really have the time to do, but the only reason I'm voting for Magnetar here is simply because the votes for it - Space's, Vulcan's and Doot's in particular - are just ever so slightly more convincing. Votes for Carbide
1. Carbide will cause more damage to Magnetar here than Magnetar will to Carbide. Even if Carbide is flung away, it will then know to go for the sides of Magnetar. Carbide could also try and push Magnetar into a CPZ, because three out of four reboot house robots could get it over, meaning Carbide could get more attacks in, whilst it is upside down. And whilst I'm not saying it won't self-right, because Magnetar definitely will, I think Carbide will deal more damage when Magnetar is vulnerable, rather than vice versa. If Carbide can, it will KO Magnetar. If not a tight Judges' decision. (Of course Carbide draws the only machine it'll struggle against whilst it's on my sweepstake team.) Adster1005 10:01, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
2. Carbide is not beatable. I don’t subscribe to Terrorhurtz doing it over and over, nor Nuts 2, nor would I back Apollo or Eruption to do so since they lost 3 times. Magnetar is a fun unknown and I’d have them beat Eruption, but not Carbide. Carbide just stupidly reliable and Magnetars grand final performance took some sheen off its own reliability. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 10:09, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
No robot is "unbeatable". Even robots with no losses to their names can't really vouch to being unbeatable, they just weren't facing the right opponent. The fact that Carbide does have losses to its name proves it's not unbeatable. CrashBash (talk) 15:33, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
3. Honesty, even though Magnetar is meant to be an "improved version" of Pulsar, I think Carbide has this easy. Magnetar still had its issues (namely being flipped) and honestly, it never really fought a major spinner in Series 10, which means we don't know how to properly judge this. But Carbide is so powerful and aggressive that I can see the first hit potentially knocking one side immobile before the rest will cause hefty damage elsewhere.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 10:21, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
4. Magnetar can't get around Carbide's huge range without touching the weapon which will quickly disable the drum. Carbide can either voluntarily take out Magnetar's drum or just hit somewhere else. Magnetar's armour will hold up, but the internals won't. I wouldn't frel comfortable in chancing a Magnetar vote here, even if it is the biggest threat remaining. TOAST 12:39, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
5. As much as I'd like Carbide to fall here to encourage a less expected champion, I'm not convinced by the arguments for Magnetar. Will it really stand up to sustained attacks over the course of the fight? For me, Carbide can attack Magnetar without risking losing its weapon, but I don't think Magnetar has that luxury with Carbide. I don't buy the "Carbide barely upgraded, but Pulsar/Magnetar did" argument - the robot made three consecutive title fights. Much like your classic series icons, Carbide's history speaks for itself and justifies the lack of need for a makeover. Carbide will be unable to do anything? Magnetar still has three exposed sides to be attacked here. Relative to the rest of the machine, Magnetar's wheel protection isn't impenetrable and sustained hits could hamper mobility as the fight progresses. SFCJack (talk) 21:36, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
6. I really, really, really wish I could back Magnetar. I even started typing out a vote, but even I wasn’t truly believing it, more out of hope than anything. Carbide’s improvements from Series 8 to 9 are clear as day, and while the differences between 9 and 10 aren’t as big, they didn’t need to be. After Series 8, Carbide’s blade stopped just once because of burn-out in 16 fights. Said burn-out was also the final fight of a series in which it had taken a battering from previous fights with the likes of Gabriel 2, Aftershock, Nuts 2 and Rapid. In Ragnabots, we tend to assume the robots are always in their optimum condition, no matter what round they are in, and at optimum condition, Carbide’s blade should hold, its reach will keep Magnetar from getting round the back without extensive risks, and the power of the weapon could well knock Magnetar’s own weapon out. Magnetar lost its weapon twice to flippers in the S10 Grand Final, let alone the most powerful spinner in Robot Wars, and while its armour is very strong, internally Magnetar was largely untested by its opponents. Carbide’s weapon survived Aftershock’s “one tooth solution” just fine, and I don’t think Magnetar can achieve a killing hit to the weapon either. Instead. I see Carbide stopping Magnetar’s drum, then smashing the front corners of it until Magnetar is killed for good. Raz3r(talk) 16:53, January 26, 2020 (UTC)
7. Magnetar may have been more reliable than Pulsar but I'd say Magnetar is on its best day is less reliable than Carbide. Carbide to hit Magnetar until it dies. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:28, January 26, 2020 (UTC)

1. I know we could use "seen it" here, and maybe I should go with that, but nearing the end of S6/X2, Hypno-Disc really started to struggle in terms of reliability. And that could get it here, as it could easily just conk out after WBC takes a bashing, but will survive. In reality, what I think will happen is that WBC will get a flip to start with, and whilst WBC will take damage for a bit, Hypno-Disc will soon struggle, and WBC can then keep getting flips in, and driving it to danger zones of the arena, such as the spikes and the flame pit, as well as the House Robots. Wheely Big Cheese to take the Judges. Adster1005 10:08, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
The Hypno Disc reliability card gets way too much oxygen in this forum. Surely the fact that Wheely Big Cheese never even got a flip in means something? Hypno Disc broke down after being chucked around by Spawn Again, and Wheely Big Cheese isn’t going to deal the same recoil as Dominator 2. It hasn’t updated from the version we used in the “seen it” fight. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 10:12, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
It really does get used too much, which is why I moved away from it. I was thinking more Wheely Big Cheese gets more meaningful drives, instead of flips now, actually. And maybe it wasn't the best under control, but it can still get those pushes into areas, and it can also lift Hypno-Disc up and drive whilst the flipper is up. Hypno-Disc also only dealt 3 hits in its Losers' Melee before being immobilised. Now I'm not saying that's what will happen here, definitely not, that only happened once. But the drives into CPZs will just swing it for WBC (for me). Adster1005 10:51, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
Wheely Big Cheese's reliability was just as iffy, so they should cancel each other out really. Left with two equally unreliable robots where does that leave the battle result? Jimlaad43(talk) 11:01, January 25, 2020 (UTC)

4. I really don't get this. Back in Series 5 Audited, a number of users claimed Wheely Big Cheese would win, and even now it has picked up a vote. Please remember back in Extreme 1 that Wheely Big Cheese had NO answer to the relentless power of Hypno-Disc, even if Ming 3 happened to be in the way. A few hits on the wheels, and Wheely Big Cheese was already pretty much screwed. And since the latest version of Hypno-Disc has an even greater damage potential, the yellow and red machine stands even less of a chance here. Also... Don't bring wheels into the arena count: 65. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 10:37, January 25, 2020 (UTC)

6. Even if it was more assertive in one-on-one battles, I can’t see Wheely Big Cheese surviving this without being concussed or having the wheels diced up. What a road to redemption for Hypno-Disc! VulcansHowl 12:38, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
7. Sometimes Hypno-Disc underperforms on the wiki due to reliability perception, but sometimes it goes and wins Audited Series 5 or gets Top 8 in Ragnabot 3. Fabulous. TOAST 12:52, January 25, 2020 (UTC)
8. To be fair, the Hypno-Disc reliability card is still a valid argument...but when was Wheely Big Cheese EVER reliable itself? That's all that needs to be said, other than a fair case of "seen it". CrashBash (talk) 15:30, January 25, 2020 (UTC)

10. Nah, sorry, Hypno-Disc may have been on its way out by now, but Hweely Big Cheese still has no answer to the inevitable wheel damage and its large flipper is too awkward to get under and meaningfully flip Hypno-Disc. Hogwild94 (talk) 18:58, January 25, 2020 (UTC)

12. I'd love to back my sweepstake, but I can't. Hypno-Disc made light work of grating the Cheese in a melee environment. It'll be even more targeted in a simple 1v1. SFCJack (talk) 21:38, January 25, 2020 (UTC)

Votes for Big Nipper
1. Ah, the lonely attempts at voting for Big Nipper to beat Carbide. Once again, as I said last time I do not expect any support, but the thing that was proved in my vote from last time was just how well built Big Nipper is - the armour and structure wasn't troubled even slightly by Carbide. The impact between the two is also a good reference for the next point. As per Ragnabot 2, I think Big Nipper will be resolute, and will use the low profile and length of its claws to get plenty enough purchase on Carbide's underbelly for lifts. And note how in the Series 10 impact, Big Nipper's armour not only stood up incredibly, but it also wasn't knocked away from Carbide, which should allow its claws chances to lift and smother and be in Carbide's face a lot in general. It's still an incredibly tight fight even with my Big Nipper bias, but I'm even more happy than last time in showing my support for my boy. It's just a shame my other favourite machine wasn't in its place here, because we know there'd be much more support in that case... NJGW (talk) 00:08, January 28, 2020 (UTC)
2. Y'know what, maybe I am bias towards Big Nipper but at the same time I'm joining Nick here. There's also that scoop which does exist (although I am hesitant to use this as a reason) For me its a battle of avoiding the bar and going in when it's safe.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 06:50, January 28, 2020 (UTC)
3. Yeah, I'll back this side as well.
4. Honourable vote for Big Nipper, since the three votes above have swayed me onto the side of the underdog. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 23:13, January 28, 2020 (UTC)
Votes for Carbide
1. Big Nipper is unlucky to face Carbide here as I can see it winning against the other two robots here. It would be better to use the claws and try to get under Carbide, lift it and force the spinner into the floor and try to push away from there, but that just won't happen for the full 3 minutes. Big Nipper just doesn't have the wedgey shape required to resist the spinner, and will eventually be shredded. Jimlaad43(talk) 23:10, January 27, 2020 (UTC)
2. Ah, I thought Big Nipper might sneak through to the final, but wasn't to be. Allegedly, Big Nipper had a scoop that could be fitted instead of the claws that might have made this closer, but was outlawed by producers for being too defensive. Why? Track-tion were allowed to fit a wedge instead of the crusher, I fail to see how this is different... Anyway, without the scoop, Big Nipper had decent armour and will probably survive the spinner, maybe even to the end, but any judges' decision will sadly be obvious. Combatwombat555 (talk) 23:15, January 27, 2020 (UTC)
3. If Carbide can beat Magnetar, it should be more than capable of beating Big Nipper, deflecting it around for a win on aggression. Hogwild94 (talk) 23:24, January 27, 2020 (UTC)
4. ...aaaaaaaaand Carbide's just won Ragnabot 3. Good night. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 23:27, January 27, 2020 (UTC)
5. Big Nipper vs Magnetar would, I think, have been a surprisingly interesting fight to debate. This isn’t; Carbide should romp this. Both have improved since their Series 8 versions met in Ragnabot 2, but the result won’t be any different now as to then. Raz3r(talk) 23:35, January 27, 2020 (UTC)
6. I don't think Carbide has this tournament JUST yet. It just depends on when it faces off against Eruption. In this case, however, it should be able to take the win - with the claws, Big Nipper could potentially be able to snag the weapon chain if it catches it just right, but it needs to be very precise. With the disc, I feel that if people think it has the advantage over Magnetar it should immediately have the advantage over Big Nipper. Wouldn't be surprised if Big Nipper hung on, though. CrashBash (talk) 07:00, January 28, 2020 (UTC)
7. Carbide can attack Big Nipper and keep the pressure on throughout the fight to win on a full judges decision. Adster1005 08:06, January 28, 2020 (UTC)
8. I definitely think Big Nipper has a better shot than Magnetar, and threatens to win this match. TOAST 10:07, January 28, 2020 (UTC)
9. Remember when Big Nipper fought Supernova in its Series 8 Group Battle? VulcansHowl 11:18, January 28, 2020 (UTC)
Probably because Track-tion vs Apex was kids vs a 40kg spinner and the producers didn't want it to be over in one hit, so they allowed the wedge to give the kids a chance of letting the fight last longer than that single...hit....... Oh wait... Jimlaad43(talk) 11:38, January 28, 2020 (UTC)

1. OotA list bait... Jimlaad43(talk) 23:10, January 27, 2020 (UTC)
2. And both of my final sweepstakes fall in the same round. Sad face. Although Hypno-Disc has punched well above its weight in getting this far, so I'm not upset. Combatwombat555 (talk) 23:15, January 27, 2020 (UTC)
3. Hypno-Disc hopelessly out of its depth against the revival armour, its getting flipped all over the place. Hogwild94 (talk) 23:25, January 27, 2020 (UTC)
4. Much like X-Terminator, Hypno-Disc was completely out of its depth in this round. All RAPID has to do is score a clean OotA or wait for Hypno-Disc to finally shock itself to death, especially moreso now that its facing a 'bot with armour it simply cannot ever hope to breach. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 23:33, January 27, 2020 (UTC)
Also, before I fall asleep, pre-emptive congrats to SFCJack for winning the Ragnabot 3 points sweepstake as the points he has combined with RAPID's grand final placement is going to give him an insurmountable lead no matter what happens. --TheyCallMeDoot (*doot doot*) 00:52, January 28, 2020 (UTC)
5. Congratulations to Hypno-Disc to making it so far, congratulations to Rapid for exceeding everyone’s expectations in the predictions, and congratulations to SFCJack for winning the Ragnabot 3 Sweepstake! Raz3r(talk) 23:36, January 27, 2020 (UTC)
6. Well, at least Hypno-Disc won't be destroyed by having to face the other two robots. RAPID to score a knockout within a few flips. By the way, some people, probably casuals, want Carbide vs Hypno-Disc to occur, and I wouldn't be surprised if some backed the latter. Even if Hypno-Disc somehow, someway, managed to break the chain, the disc-to-disc collision will kill its drives, giving Carbide the win. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 23:41, January 27, 2020 (UTC)
7. The other chance of Hypno-Disc damage being caused here is to the high, polycarbonate pods of RAPID. However, even then it probably wouldn't have the strength to rip a pod completely away - likely just piercing it instead. Either way, Hypno-Disc's long, swervy body will be controlled, and the way this fight ends is just up to the discretion of Andy Hibberd and how much he wants to respect the Rose's machine. 8. Great shot, Hypno-Disc but you're gonna be learning to fly...Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 06:40, January 28, 2020 (UTC)
9. I'm sure someone is going to come up with an insane reason to vote for Hypno-Disc, but it was hopelessly outclassed no matter who it faced here. CrashBash (talk) 07:01, January 28, 2020 (UTC)

11. I feel like Hypno-Disc's defeat at the last hurdle before the Grand Final is a good time to pay tribute to the best-performing classic series bots from the last two Ragnabots. TOAST 10:08, January 28, 2020 (UTC)
12. Cheers lads, though it has to be said, RAPID was very lucky to draw Hypno-Disc here. But in keeping with how well robots like Spawn Again gave Hypno-Disc trouble, a reboot flipper of RAPID's power should have no issues here. SFCJack (talk) 10:35, January 28, 2020 (UTC)
13. Anything Spawn Again and Dantomkia can do, Rapid can do better. VulcansHowl 11:18, January 28, 2020 (UTC)
