For Heat the Sixth, we appropriately borrow the format from Series 6, as we will begin with some 4-way melees. 2 robots qualify and then head-to-head their way to a heat final. Remember to vote for your two winners at the start of your vote, followed by an explanation.

Round 1

Clawed Hopper vs Centurion vs Firestorm 2 vs Attila the Drum

Clawed Hopper
Clawedhopper
Votes
  1. Firestorm 2 and Attila the Drum. Attila has staying power, but nothing offensive that will help it show it deserves to go through. That said, staying power is all it needs, and Firestorm can OFAD both Centurion and Clawed Hopper (although the walker might take a few attempts). Attila survives because it's an invertible axlebot. Jimlaad43(talk) 08:07, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
Heat the Fifth is going to stay open until the end of this update, so it's still open if you haven't voted there. Jimlaad43(talk) 08:07, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  2. Firestorm II and Attila the Drum. Jim's summed up it pretty well. Centurion flipped first, and then Clawed Hopper tipped on it's side. Attila to do whatever it wants until Firestorm has defeated the others. Adster1005 08:18, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  3. Firestorm 2 and Attila the Drum. Clawed Hopper is getting flipped 100% and Centurion did seems to die quite easily...Attila is damaging and good at surviving (as long as it doesn't get pushed into Sir Killalot!) which will benefit it massively and Firestorm is powerful even if this version is treated poorly so will dominate! Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 08:47, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  4. Firestorm 2 and Attila the Drum. Firestorm romps, Centurion goes over easily and Clawed Hopper goes over eventually. Attila being invertible will be a major aid. CrashBash (talk) 09:17, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  5. Firestorm 2 and Attila the Drum - Clawed Hopper's going over at some point, although it could very well be Centurion that manages that instead of Firestorm. Centurion could be a difficult machine for Firestorm to flip, it's pretty low, but it should happen eventually. Attila can chip in with occasional whacks, but is just far more difficult than the others to immobilise. Combatwombat555 (talk) 09:55, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  6. Firestorm 2 and Attila the Drum. I don't know Jimlaad, I actually think Attila the Drum could very well take out the rather unreliable Firestorm 2 with some good hits. Still, with Centurion being even more unreliable (plus having no srimech), combined with Clawed Hopper being an easy target for both robots, Firestorm 2 and Attila the Drum shall easily progress. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 11:05, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
Firestorm 2 was actually one of the main villains in Series 4. Starting from its controversial victory against Bolt from the Blue, the audience certainly had an agenda against it. Indeed, they booed the decision to let Firestorm 2 through against The Morgue, and were probably quite happy to see it lose to Dominator 2. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 11:05, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
That heat final was a situation where, whatever decision was made, no-one was going to be 100% satisfied. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:30, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  7. Firestorm and Attila the Drum: A solid flipper, an unflippable robot and two that are very easy to flip. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:30, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  8. Firestorm II and Attila the Drum. Although Firestorm may waste some time attacking the seemingly easy target in Attila, it'll soon realise that killing Centurion off is easier. Clawed Hopper is a total non-factor. TOAST 23:36, April 30, 2020 (UTC)

Saw Point vs Pussycat vs Little Fly vs Robochicken

Saw Point

Votes
  1. Saw Point and Pussycat. So there's one All-Star in this fight too, and it's again a case of which of the other three is least vulnerable to said All-Star. Well we know Pussycat can tear through Robochicken with no issues, so they're gone first. Little Fly was really slow and ponderous, leaving it vulnerable, and it's armour will show the damage massively anyway. Saw Point has the big wheels and snowscoop to at least bat Pussycat away at points and survive long enough to out-survive the others. Jimlaad43(talk) 08:14, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  2. Pussycat and Saw Point. I was going to make a case for Little Fly, but it wasn't the quickest, so, once again, I agree with Jim. Adster1005 08:24, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  3. Pussycat and Robochicken. Pussycat dominates. Little Fly is slow and the weapon stops every time it impacts and the armour looks vulnerable to being shredded, now Robochicken got killed by Pussycat but here's the thing, there are other machines involved here and considering Panic Attack managed to side strand Saw Point, who's to say Robochicken won't do the same? Plus I suspect that Saw Point will be more vulnerable to attacks from all robots here. I say the chicken wills survive longer. Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 08:50, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  4. Saw Point and Pussycat. It's another fight where the all-star - in this case, Pussycat - romps. As for the others, Saw Point feels, oddly enough, the most well-rounded robot. Robochicken has very thin armour and Little Fly is also slow and has surprisingly easily damaged wheels. CrashBash (talk) 09:18, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  5. Pussycat and Robochicken - Robochicken may have been killed by Pussycat, but it survived for a good long time, and in a melee environment where it's not the only target it won't be in as bad a state. I agree that Saw Point looks very vulnerable to being tipped onto its side by Robochicken, or even a good side-on charge from Pussycat to be honest. Little Fly's low speed, high ground clearance, and long spin-up time won't help it - neither will the exposed wires running along the outside of the shell which look very vulnerable to being severed by Pussycat and I hope don't power anything important... Combatwombat555 (talk) 10:12, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  6. Pussycat and Robochicken. Robochicken survived intense punishment from Razer and Pussycat. Henceforth, I genuinely see it surviving the longest here. Saw Point can be easily stranded by Robochicken, whereas Little Fly probably will be the easy target for Pussycat here. Hence, the cat and the chicken progress! SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 11:05, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  7. Pussycat and Saw Point: Bear in mind that, in this universe, this is Saw Point's first fight, no-one knows how ineffective it is, and it looks pretty fierce with the spikey wheels. Pussycat will thus probably steer clear of it just in case and go after the more obvious target robots of Robochicken and Little Fly instead. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:32, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
  8. Pussycat and Little Fly. Surprised I'm the only one backing this timeline! Robochicken is the robot that Pussycat will naturally want to go after, while Saw Point is the general weakest in attendance who might also lose mobility like it did against Panic Attack. Little Fly seems fairly well protected to me, and its spinning blade might at least dissuade Pussycat from targeting it straight away. TOAST 23:39, April 30, 2020 (UTC)

Saw Point vs Attila the Drum

Saw Point Attila the Drum

Votes for Saw Point
  1. Saw Point’s wheels put a few slices in Attila’s wheel decorations and then Sgt. Bash sets it on fire after the two robots fail to do anything for the majority of the match. Judges them give it to Saw Point. TOAST 13:22, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
Votes for Attila the Drum
  1. Saw Point looks like the perfect robot to defeat Attila with the massive snowscoop that's pretty much the right shape to scoop Attila, but can it keep it up for the full battle? I just don't see Saw Point being able to be effective for much of the battle, and a sit-and-spin by Attila could "convince" Saw Point to fall over if it gets hit by the mace while turning. Anything reliability-wise that wants to break in Saw Point will only make it all worse. Jimlaad43(talk) 07:39, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  2. Saddened that Saw Point won that match but then again it had no way of winning against any of these here. Attila was very damaging with the mace when it wanted to be, I mean it tore a wheel off Razer and dented the side. So sitting and spinning will benefit it here as Saw Point is either going to knocked out cold or lose to a judges decision because, what can it do? Use the spike the saw blade wheels...well no, it won't be able to get remotely close! Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 07:44, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  3. Attila the Drum will sit and spin around in a circle to cause some damage. Saw Point can't do anything really whilst AtD is spinning or doing anything. AtD on a Judges Decision. Adster1005 08:17, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  4. To be fair, I don't think either Little Fly or Robochicken would have done any better. It'd certainly be a bizzare match, but Saw Point's lack of any real offensive weapons that can capitalise Attila's spinning actions will let it down. If it charges plough first, that may well deflect it away...possibly knocking it over? CrashBash (talk) 08:57, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  5. I like both of these machines, but I am especially chuffed for Attila The Drum. I've not been secretive of rating it, and I've always found the way its performances were met with such disdain to be very unfair. Always love seeing it do solidly in fantasy tournaments. NJGW (talk) 11:20, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  6. I do rate Saw Point's pushing power, but not its durability. Indeed, it seems a little too prone to suffering immense damage from each of Attila the Drum's hits. Ultimately, the axlebot easily has this. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 11:48, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  7. Saw Point such a fragile robot, Attila quite capable of a few whacks to knock something loose. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:46, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  8. Saw Point's only real hope is to push Attila somewhere unpleasant, but Attila's spinning should ward that off - and yeah, might persuade Saw Point into falling over. Combatwombat555 (talk) 12:06, May 3, 2020 (UTC)
Winner: Attila the Drum (1-8)

Pussycat vs Firestorm 2

Pussycat Firestorm 2
Pussycat
Firestorm2 official image
Votes for Pussycat
  1. Firestorm will win the battle of the ground clearances all the time, and can use its flipper to keep Pussycat at bay and pushed back at any point it wants. But how much damage will it take in the meantime? That's the crux of it, Pussycat's disc should shred loads of holes and slices into the front and side of Firestorm in every attack Firestorm attempts. They won't all work and Pussycat can avoid being scooped up with some good driving - after all, it only just lost to the much better Chaos 2. A close judges' decision that goes against Firestorm on damage again. Jimlaad43(talk) 07:39, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  2. This a genuinely close battle, shame it's not the Heat Final. Firestorm can get flips in BUT this is the Series 4 Firestorm, it doesn't really have the metal stripe or the more smooth surface and if one looks at the Dominator or Morgue fights and see the damage done there to Firestorm then imagine every time Pussycat scrapes in, cuts into the wedge, chipping away at the bottom, making it harder each time Firestorm wants to attack Pussycat, Pussycat was also in its prime here and something i noticed was how the Series 4 Firestorm liked to jolt itself upwards, which only makes things worst for it in the long run...Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 07:48, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  3. A round earlier than I would have hope, but despite the fact Firestorm 3 beat Pussycat, this was the year that Razer and Hypno-Disc would have lost to Pussycat. Pussycat will repeatedly charge in to Firestorm, and whilst it might win in a battle of ground clearance, Firestorm won't win on damage. Pussycat to tear away at Firestorm, which will give it the tight Judges Decision. Adster1005 08:21, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  4. This is going to a judges decision, no question about it. The thing is, if this was literally any other series where these two robots fought, I'd give it to Firestorm without hesitation. We know it could beat it in Series 5 (and by extension Extreme 1), and Extreme 2/Series 7 just feel like they push the odds further in Firestorm's favour and Pussycat's blade wasn't that damaging in Series 3, at least not in the right way. But Series 4 is different - Not only is Firestorm slightly more vulnerable to damage, but Pussycat's blade is an absolute beast. Firestorm may get underneath, but this time it has to worry about all sorts of damage. I feel the armour will have quite a few scuffs on it. This will also help push Pussycat's aggression up to match Firestorm's, although probably not surpass it. Pussycat is always going to win on control...and really, it takes a high score in all four categories, with damage being what takes it. CrashBash (talk) 08:54, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  5. The problem with Firestorm 2 was that its armour simply was not up to the standard of the time. Not only is the damage Dominator 2 inflicted worth mentioning, we should also consider the damage Firestorm 2 suffered that made it impossible for it to properly get underneath Bolt from the Blue. Pussycat during Series 4 and Extreme 1 seemed to have this tendency to just find the weakspot that would ultimately cripple its opponent. The sides of Firestorm 2 look particularly ripe for some serious damage. Plus, Firestorm 2's internals were clearly less reliable than in later editions. Indeed, the damage it suffered in the first round Tag Team Terror battle crippled it for the Final. Pussycat has the damage potential needed to secure a knockout. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 11:48, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  6. Nearly backed Nick’s logic, but I do think this version of Firestorm would take a lot more damage in the process. Very close, but a win on damage for Pussycat. TOAST 13:24, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  7. This is the only series where I'd back Pussycat to beat Firestorm; a year earlier, the blade wasn't quite good enough yet, and in the subsequent series Firestorm had sufficiently improved to beat it. Here though, Pussycat is at its peak and Firestorm isn't quite there yet, so a win for Pussycat on damage. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:47, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
In fact, now I think about it, if Firestorm had got the judges decision against Dominator 2 and then lost to Pussycat, the two robots' seedings for S5 would make more sense than they do. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:49, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
  8. I can see this following the same pattern as the Series 5 encounter- with Firestorm starting on top but Pussycat causing damage and finishing strongly, but with the periods of dominance shifted more in favour of Pussycat thanks to Firestorm's weaker armour. Pussycat cuts up the armour and wins on damage. Combatwombat555 (talk) 12:59, May 3, 2020 (UTC)
Votes for Firestorm 2
  1. I do agree that Pussycat will cause good damage. Firestorm 2's armour wasn't good. However, the general design is still there that absolutely dominated Pussycat in Series 5.p The general designs here are near-on identical to Series 5, Firestorm 2 getting its wedge scuffed up a bit won't change the fact that it'll still be easily getting under Pussycat either. Pussycat lost the Series 5 fight so comfortably, and it'll need more than a solid 3/5 performance in the Damage category to change the end result for this one. NJGW (talk) 11:29, May 2, 2020 (UTC)
Winner: Pussycat (8-1)

Heat Final

Pussycat vs Attila the Drum

Pussycat Attila the Drum
Pussycat

Votes for Pussycat
  1. A very easy shredding victory is on the cards for Pussycat here. Pussycat can reverse-push Attila if it wants to stop it spinning and force it into a wall, where it'll be trapped. Pussycat turns and tears chunks out of Attila at that point. Jimlaad43(talk) 09:01, May 4, 2020 (UTC)
  2. There is a scenario, I'm sure, where Pussycat approaches Attila the Drum whilst it is spinning and, in the midst of this, Attila's mace strikes Pussycat's blade so hard it causes it to bend, thus getting snagged in its own armour and thus disabling it for the rest of the fight. I'm sure this could be a legit way for Attila to win. But by this once-in-a-lifetime logic, there also must be a scenario where Pussycat cuts the chain holding Attila's mace on. Either way, I do see Pussycat being more reliably capable of keeping up the pressure on Attila. CrashBash (talk) 09:11, May 4, 2020 (UTC)
  3. Attila will thrash away and keep Pussycat away but I as soon as the disc get a hold, scrapes away, tearing and maybe hitting the barrel to give some nasty scarring, Pussycat will win big time. That said, I don't see a KO though.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 09:41, May 4, 2020 (UTC)
  4. The heat was decided in the previous round, really. TOAST 10:12, May 4, 2020 (UTC)
  5. Pussycat to scratch away at Attila the Drum to take a victory on the Judges. Adster1005 11:40, May 4, 2020 (UTC)
  6. Quite an easy win for Pussycat on minor damage caused to the side. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:34, May 4, 2020 (UTC)
  7. Probably not that much damage, but Pussycat will certainly win a Judges' decision on aggression and control. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 14:29, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
  8. Attila to cause problems, but an over-reliance of sit and spin will hurt it in a Judges' decision. NJGW (talk) 16:38, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
  9. Not seeing a knockout, but Pussycat wins on all categories if it goes that far. Good on Attila for making it this far though. Combatwombat555 (talk) 22:44, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

  1. Mr Worldwide is going to grab the front of Axios and drag it all over the arena. It can deposit it next to a House Robot if it wants, and can wait for the pit to open, where it can drop Axios into. Dale. Jimlaad43(talk) 09:01, May 4, 2020 (UTC)
  2. I noticed in Axios' only fight that its tongue managed to get wedged open on a few occasions - whether by accident or if it was deliberate, I don't know. But that looks like it'd be perfect for Pitbull to grab and control across the arena. For what its worth, Pitbull seemed to be surprisingly capable of exposing ground clearance. Axios puts up a fight, but can't quite take it. CrashBash (talk) 09:12, May 4, 2020 (UTC)
  3. Jim must hate Challenge Belt winners, because none have won thus far! Well, Pitbull has the jaws to grab onto the tongue or the wheels, scoring damage and aggression points.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 09:39, May 4, 2020 (UTC)
I did vote for Trident over Axios though, so it taking the win was a surprise. Jimlaad43(talk) 09:52, May 4, 2020 (UTC)

  6. Two robots of a similar speed, Pitbull's jaws give it the edge, Axios' front and exposed wheels perfected for it to grab and push. Hogwild94 (talk) 17:33, May 4, 2020 (UTC)
  7. Not sure whether Pitbull will bite off one of Axios' wheels, but it can certainly grab one, enabling it to control this battle quite easily. SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 14:29, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
  8. Pitbull's naturally-more aggressive drives and its sharp jaw to override Axios' decent amount of competency. NJGW (talk) 16:39, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
  9. Axios wasn't bad, but there's quite a bit that Pitbull can grab hold of, and the tongue and missile launcher don't look like they'd be too effective against it. Combatwombat555 (talk) 22:51, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
