The arena

Heat the Third of Random Format Series 4 is the first of two concurrent heats as we find ourselves in the Pinball Warrior tournament. Speed and manoeuvrability is what matters in this format, with weapon power not really required. Sir Killalot, Matilda and Shunt are patrolling the arena to stop the robots scoring points. 7 robots will compete, with only the best continuing out of the heat. For the Pinball, please write how many points you think the bot would score in the time allocated. The maximum score you can award is 300 points.

How Many Points Will They Score?
  1. 50 points. Wheely Big Cheese has been given the worst heat possible pretty much, as it isn't really designed to turn around corners sharply or deal with obstacles. I can see it getting some barrels down, but either getting trapped in the pit, bullied by a House Robot or falling off the ramp and getting trapped. Jimlaad43(talk) 08:44, April 21, 2020 (UTC)
  2. 90 points Yeah, the Pinball isn't Wheely Big Cheese's area. However, it could get in underneath the House Robots, and therefore maybe get a few more points. It'll go for the barrels as well, but struggle for anything else. Adster1005 08:49, April 21, 2020 (UTC)
  3. 80 points. I think 50 is a whisker harsh, but Wheely Big Cheese's huge size will be a massive detriment to it. Especially considering that Series 4 Wheely Big Cheese really wasn't even all that good. If a House Robot manages to dislodge a wheel, then it's going absolutely nowhere fast. 4. 75 Points I was a little confused to see the fourth Heat and then I noticed you're doing two at once :P The issue the Cheese has is that it swing about and has its moments of pausing. This is bad for a challenge like this where control is key. The barrels will be knocked and maybe a tire but I can't see it doing anything else....Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 08:55, April 21, 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm putting the tournaments that require very few battles each round up together to not let us get bored, like with the Annihilator which is one battle a round. Sumo Basho and Robotic Soccer will go up together later in the tournament too. Jimlaad43(talk) 08:59, April 21, 2020 (UTC)

How Many Points Will They Score?
  1. 160 points. Kronic should dart around the arena quite well, going over the ramp, getting the car bonnet and maybe a few of the House Robot tyres, but I don't see it being able to keep going for a monumental score. Jimlaad43(talk) 08:44, April 21, 2020 (UTC)
  2. 120 points. This is more like it. Kronic's better suited for taking on the trial events and could certainly make a good effort. What lets it down here is its general sluggishness. CrashBash (talk) 08:51, April 21, 2020 (UTC)
  3. 110 Points Maybe a little lower to what others may think but I do question how well it will do when tackling the House Robots defending the big points. I think Kronic is bulky enough to take down the barrels and hit the car door and bumper but the House Robots and ramp will give it trouble.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 08:56, April 21, 2020 (UTC)
