Forums: Index > The Arena > Robot Arena 2 - Robot Wars Wiki (Series 2)

As some of you may have seen in the talk page, I have come up with an idea to revive this idea and run it in February as a celebration for the wiki's fourth anniversary. RA2 has agreed that we can go ahead and plan it, although he can't promise he'll have time to get it done by February, but hopefully we'll find a way to get it done eventually. As it's been well over a year since we left this inactive, I've decided to restart the entry process from scratch. See the new section below to enter. Christophee (talk) 13:08, September 17, 2011 (UTC)

Entry List

Last Updated 00:12, October 5, 2011 (UTC). The competition entry process is now closed.

I think that we can well assume that this is probably the only entries we are going to get, so I'll compile a list. TG and ManUCrazy have yet to reply to the new competition, so we'll assume to keep their original entries.

  1. Conquering Clown - RA2
  2. Splinter - Christophee
  3. Mega Hurts LT - The Samster
  4. Black Hole - Toon Ganondorf
  5. Revenge of Trouble & Strife? - ManUCrazy
  6. Gravity - Helloher (
  7. Tut Tut - CrashBash
  8. Panic Attack Gold - Middle Eye
  9. Ceros - Obi-Have
  10. Spawn Again - StormProof
  11. Thor - Llamaman201
  12. Beast of Bodmin - Datovidny
  13. Terror Bull - Shayfan
  14. Crusader 2 - Snowdog140
  15. The Spider - SquirrelMonkey
  16. Mortis - Storm2

If I can enter, I'm entering my Spider replica. Fair enough if you feel I am not a good enough contributor to take part. SquirrelMonkey (talk) 18:50, September 29, 2011 (UTC)

Matt has already said you have enough edits to enter, so I've added you to the list. Christophee (talk) 19:12, September 29, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, you do meet the edit count. Is RA2 still planning to use The Predator as a byebot? That would make our sixteen. Matt(Talk) 19:31, September 29, 2011 (UTC)
Let's wait until the deadline before we sort out byebots, or at least a little closer to it. Christophee (talk) 12:06, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

My entry depends on which of the two is either easier for RA2 to sort, or whichever has already been made, don't want to cause a fuss and all Snowdog140 15:39, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

What are we doing about Helloher? I reminded him a few weeks ago that the deadline was coming up but he never answered. I assume we'll have to either pick a robot for him or replace him with a byebot. Christophee (talk) 15:23, November 25, 2011 (UTC)

Is there any contributors who are under the 150 edit mark, but still edit regularly enough? i.e. Robofan, personally i'd prefer that then a byebot--Shayfan 16:13, November 25, 2011 (UTC)

He's now Pkmn Trainer and he last edited over two months ago. Just so you know, your theory is, unfortunately, wishful thinking.-- STORM II  16:18, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
I meant RWFan anyway, but I guess you're right, I was being stupid.--Shayfan 21:11, November 25, 2011 (UTC)

New Name

Robot Arena 2 - Robot Wars Wiki is much too long. Can anyone brainstorm a better idea?

  • How about Avatar War? Avatar is defined as "representation", which is essentially what we're doing, right? Toon Ganondorf (t c) 07:22, February 16, 2010 (UTC)
I like Robot Wars, Wiki Wars--SquirrelMonkey (talk) 09:00, February 16, 2010 (UTC)
I like the sound of Avatar Wars, maybe Battle of the Editors? Llamaman201 (talk) 18:33, February 16, 2010 (UTC)
i like Llama's suggestion. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 19:55, February 16, 2010 (UTC)
I'd back SM's if mine doesn't go ahead. Just Wiki Wars, though. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 21:03, February 16, 2010 (UTC)
Wiki Wars sounds catchier to me. ManUCrazy (talk) 15:16, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

I don't have the game! I can't get involved!

Never fear. If you don't have RA2, simply say a Robot Wars robot you'd like to enter and wouldn't be too hard for us to replicate. To make it easier for us, choose one that you know we have already made. Post a few second choices too; not every replica is doable.

Rules

  • The arena will be the Lu-Tze arena with hazards off.
  • No robots already replicated in DSL can be replicated.
  • Replicas can be made with DSL or Stock Components. AI and cheatbot2 parts are allowed as well.
  • No custom components.
  • Robots not replicated in DSL but had their components made cannot be replicated either. Examples of this include Fluffy (Due to Fluffy's blade).
  • Replicas may not have more weapons than its original counterpart. Offenses include covering a robot in spikes that it didn't have, or equipping a flywheel with more teeth than the original had.

New Entry Process

As this tournament has been inactive for well over a year, I have decided to start the entry process again from scratch. The tournament is open to any user who has at least 150 total edits in mainspace and filespace. Anybody who entered before and wants to enter again will have to repost their entry here (either with the same robot as before, or with a different one if they so wish). As before, the target number of entries is 12, but we may be able to sort out a new format if we receive more. Christophee (talk) 13:12, September 17, 2011 (UTC)

With RA2

Without RA2

Will be tricky, because of its curvy sides. I can tell you right now that my replica of it is going to be very blocky. Which I'm fine with if you are, but if not, you may suggest an alternative
Well, I would have asked for Tut Tut, as I originally intended to, but if we HAVE to use a different robot....I don't mind. CrashBash 20:40, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
If you still wnat Tut Tut, you can have it. S_M made a replica of it, if he still has it, that's one we can check off as done. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 21:17, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, you are still allowed to use the robot you originally chose, I just made the option available to choose a different one if you wish. Sorry if I didn't make that very clear. Christophee (talk) 21:23, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
OK then. Tut Tut then, please. CrashBash 21:43, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
I still have that Tut Tut replica (just to confirm). Also, am I eligible to enter?SquirrelMonkey (talk) 17:33, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
Yes you are, apologies for missing you out on my list. Matt(Talk) 17:36, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
Cutoff wedges are going to be difficult, and the lack of pictures doesn't help. Can I ask you for an alternative too? RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 16:39, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
There's a picture here - http://www.haardvark.connectfree.co.uk/ (the rotating icon is an unpainted animation). If still unmakable, I'd like Panic Attack Gold, and failing that, Topbot. /Middle_Eye\(talk) 19:47, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
Pretty confident I can do Panic Attack Au. Thanks for your flexibility. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 21:51, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
I really hate to be a pain, but I've changed my mind to Sir Chromalot, which would make life a bit easier for you as I know you already have a replica. Is that okay? /Middle_Eye\(talk) 18:03, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
I believe the Sir Chromalot replica has a cheat component in it. The Samster 20:42, September 19, 2011 (UTC)
Okay, I'll stick to PA then. /Middle_Eye\(talk) 15:06, September 24, 2011 (UTC)
  • Obi-Have - Ceros. I know RA2 already has a replica of this, and I would love to see it fight. Matt(Talk) 19:12, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
  • StormProof I'd fancy having S3, if its not too tricky. If not then Spawn Again would be fine thanks. StormProof (talk) 13:05, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
RA2 doesn't do replicas that have already been put on the DSL expansion pack. S3 is already on there, but I think Spawn Again should be OK. Matt(Talk) 12:24, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
Alright I'll use S3 to make RA2 life a bit easier StormProof (talk) 18:15, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
No, what I mean is that he won't let you use S3. It will have to be Spawn. Matt(Talk) 17:32, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
OK, no problem. By the way, if I would have had a back up option it would be S.M.I.D.S.Y. StormProof (talk) 18:35, September 24, 2011 (UTC)
  • Llamaman201 - Thor, whichever is easiest, Mayhem as a backup, please. 86.135.75.27 16:45, September 19, 2011 (UTC)
  • Datovidny - If its not too much trouble, Beast of Bodmin. Or if you need a more modern robot, Shredder Evolution please. 08:03, September 24, 2011 (UTC)
  • Shayfan - Terror Bull - With Raging Reality as a backup, please. (Download:http://www.mediafire.com/?puxgdnqfxz1f1ng)
Is this good enough?

Cheers, mate, but my computer can't open the file. Do you know any other way i can see it please?--Shayfan 19:26, September 26, 2011 (UTC)

Make sure you put the files in the components folder (but not the folder itself) in 'C:Program Files\Infogrames\Robot Arena 2\Components' and put 'Bot0.bot' in 'C:Program Files\Infogrames\Robot Arena 2\Robot Designs' (feel free to rename the file) and try again. The Samster 19:35, September 26, 2011 (UTC)
It's not just Shayfan, Datovidny's game broke when he tried to install Mega-Hurts, and anyway I think Shayfan means the image. When anyone tries to download the image, they just get an error. Matt(Talk) 19:49, September 26, 2011 (UTC)
Yep, Obi-Have is correct. My laptop isnt clever enough to open the file. Oh, and Samster, I don't even have the game, (But I wish I did)--Shayfan 15:03, September 27, 2011 (UTC)
It appears the file was corrupted during the upload. I will reupload it as I need to retake the picture anyway. The Samster 15:52, September 29, 2011 (UTC)
http://www.woofiles.com/dl-264548-zFmP476F-TerrorBull.jpg Does that work? I do have a problem, however. The bar at the front can only get underneath fairly high ground clearances. If anyone can help me on this, I need a medium multiextender which comes to a point, making a small wedge. By the way, if you want to buy RA2, look on american ebay site. The Samster 16:47, September 29, 2011 (UTC)
Nope, still doesnt work. Thanks for your help though, mate--Shayfan 18:12, September 29, 2011 (UTC)
  • Storm2: Mortis or Comengetorix (more available on request). Between the three of them, one should work. Reason why I'm here? I got a message from Obi-Have, saying that, due to many contributions as an IP, he added those edits to the ones I made with the account, and it totalled 277. He said that I was eligible for the tournament due to his sportsmanship. Feel free to remove me if you want, because it's not the winning, it's the taking part that counts.-- STORM II  15:46, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
I certainly have no problem with you entering, especially now you have an account, and I doubt anybody else would object either. Disc-O-Inferno appeared in the first tournament so I don't think you'll be granted that, just so you know. Christophee (talk) 15:52, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

Format

The target number of entries is 12, and we could potentially hit 16. However, if we have a perfect square, that means straight elimination, and no losers' bracket. Is everyone ok with this? RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 19:01, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

I would like a losers bracket--SquirrelMonkey (talk) 19:07, February 16, 2010 (UTC)
You always do. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 22:27, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

To be frank, I don't really feel like doing an entire bracket. A few losers' melees are fine, but an entire bracket is just so time-consuming. At any rate, we have 11 of the 12, and I'll probably hear back from #12 soon, so we could just close it there. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 23:22, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

Byebots

This is the section for proposing

If we need one I've just made General Carnage 2.--SquirrelMonkey (talk) 10:16, February 17, 2010 (UTC)

Sounds good. Llamaman201 (talk) 11:41, February 17, 2010 (UTC)

I'm in the development stages of a replica of Predator. Anyone interested in having it as a byebot if and when it's done? RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 21:21, February 18, 2010 (UTC)

I remember you talking about that on GTM. I'd love to see it. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 21:25, February 18, 2010 (UTC)
I'd prefer byebots that don't win battles. Therefore, I'd prefer Predator to General Carnage 2. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 21:54, February 18, 2010 (UTC)
Here, Here lol! *mutters something about Plunderbird* Llamaman201 (talk) 10:59, February 19, 2010 (UTC)
Plunderbird was entered to loose ;) Thyrus 12:49, February 19, 2010 (UTC)
How is Genaral Carnage 2 going to win a battle, its wedge fails.--SquirrelMonkey (talk) 14:04, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, so I've built Predator, but it's almost 200 kilos overweight, and uses a custom competent (the rake hands). Neither of these factors helps its performace particularly, is it ok with everyone to look the other way? RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 07:58, February 20, 2010 (UTC)

Ahhhhhh! RA2! You're cheating! Go right ahead, I'll look t'other way. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 08:36, February 20, 2010 (UTC)
[1] RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 06:06, February 21, 2010 (UTC)
Nice replica! Llamaman201 (talk) 11:15, February 21, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. I'd said in another thread that it was something I'd wanted to do before I died, and people probably thought I was joking. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 17:11, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

Reserve Rumble

I'm not sure whether we're going to need a Reserve Rumble, but I'll open up entries just in case. Anyone with at least 50 edits in Mainspace and File combined may enter. If you have at least 50 edits and don't think you will reach the required 150 to enter the main competition by 25th November, then add your name here along with your choice of robot (and preferably a reserve). Christophee (talk) 19:17, September 29, 2011 (UTC)

Grudges

Another idea for a halftime event, suggest a grudge match between 2 robots from last Series of Wiki Wars. Please note that I will only consider doing grudge matches between pairs that have not battled each other; you saw Alien and Killer Carrot go at it; it's pretty obvious that most battles have the same result every time. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 01:45, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe Iron Awe 2.1 vs Pulverizer ManUCrazy (talk) 02:00, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
Can GBH 2 fight Mousetrap? I'd like to see if front-hinged flippers actually work, because GBH's fights showed a distinct lack of anything resembling a flip. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 05:37, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
Disc-O-Inferno vs Delldog. I'd like to see. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 06:01, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
I agree with Disc-o-inferno vs. Delldog Thyrus 06:23, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
Disco and Delldog sounds good, I would like to see if Scorpion can beat Big Cheese. Surely it can't lose against both Byebots??? Llamaman201 (talk) 14:36, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
The Alien vs PulveriseR--SquirrelMonkey (talk) 16:56, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, looks like the mob wants Disco vs Delldog. If you guys can come to a concensus on one more, that's be cool. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 17:43, February 23, 2010 (UTC)
What about X-Terminator vs. Iron Awe 2? I`d like to see it X-Terminators srimech works. Thyrus 19:47, February 23, 2010 (UTC)

Start Time

I understand that the anniversary is in Feb. But it would be much better for me I could get the bulk of the work done during my winter break, which is the last 2-3 week in December. Can I request that everyone finalize their replica choices, and that we work out the format before Thanksgiving? I propose that I build and film during my break, and wait to release release the videos until February. Don't worry, I'll keep mum about the results. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 16:39, September 17, 2011 (UTC)

If that's the best time for you to film the battles, then that is definitely what we should aim for. For those of us from outside the US, could you tell us exactly when Thanksgiving is? All I know is that it's in November. Christophee (talk) 18:19, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
Late November Let's say November 25th is the deadline for picking your replica -and you must provide an alternative in case I can't do it. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 18:26, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
So you are OK doing the battles then RA2? If you change your mind, you know where I am :) Matt(Talk) 19:10, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
May I also reiterate my point about opening this up for everyone to partake in? As this is for the fourth anniversery, it's more of a celebration than a reward, so I think that it would be good to honour the smaller contributers as well as the big contributers. Matt(Talk) 19:13, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
I see what you're saying, but we don't want too many people entering as it will create too much work for RA2, who I'm sure would like to keep it relatively short. We can open it up if we don't get the full 12 entries (which I imagine we probably will), and then we can put anybody else in the Reserve Rumble. Christophee (talk) 19:29, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
If that is an issue, I have a solution. People over the limit can request new robots, if they so desire, but people under the limit are allowed to take part, but are restricted to robots RA2 has already made (I can post a list if neceserry). Matt(Talk) 19:35, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
Well I'll leave the decision up to RA2, as he is the one who will be recording the battles, and he will know roughly how many he is willing to do. Christophee (talk) 19:47, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
I don't want to give a definite limit, but I'm certainly up to having more than 12. If it gets to be a really high number, would it be cool if the first round is more expedient? For example, if we end up with 32, I'd like the first round be Series 6/7 style instead of one-on-one. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 21:49, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
So shall I open this up to everyone, or do we still want to impose an edit restriction, albeit a more lenient one? Christophee (talk) 00:19, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
I'd still like an edit restriction - we've got a healthy number of people who have done their fair share of work. 00:49, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
In that case I suggest that we set the limit at either 100 or 200 mainspace edits, so we're letting in all the people that have done a reasonable amount of work. What do you think? Christophee (talk) 00:53, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
In favour of above, however I suggest 150. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 07:55, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
150 is good. It means that almost every regular contributer can have some participation. RA2, what are you planning re Special Events? Something else just sprung to mind, what about that IP address that has 250+ edits. I think it's a bit harsh to disinclude him for his lack of username, what does everyone else think? Matt(Talk) 08:29, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
Will there be a Reserve Rumble, as I don't have that many edits in the mainspace?--Shayfan 13:26, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure, we'll have to ask RA2. If I'm honest, you're already halfway towards the 150 target, to get that in a little under 2 months shouldn't be too difficult. Matt(Talk) 14:01, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I think we can do that. As for the IP, well, it annoys me to think that he'd expect to be treated like a regular user when he can't be arsed to make a proper account like the rest of us. What's a bit harsh is expecting me to keep tabs on an indistinguishable series of numbers and dots. IF he specifically asks I will begrudgingly grant him entrance, but ONLY if he discovers this page on his own (ie without someone reminding him on his talk page) RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 14:01, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
I think that is more than fair. If you give me a second, I'll whip up a list of eligable competitiors. Matt(Talk) 14:05, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
Excuse me for saying this, but which IP are you on about?--83.147.131.249 18:09, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
I believe you, given that you have a very high edit count for an IP. The Samster 18:45, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, The Samster's right, we were talking about you. RA2 is more than right however, it would be FAR easier for everyone if you were to just create an account. Matt(Talk) 19:06, September 18, 2011 (UTC)

These users are eligable to compete in the main competition (struck once they have posted an entry: TG, Christophee, Helloher, Llamaman201, ManUCrazy, RA2, Datovidny, Obi-Have, MiddleEye, Storm Proof, H-DRules, The Samster, CrashBash, TheStigisaRobot, Prodworthy, LiamBryant, Headbanger14, Kcharles, Shayfan, Snowdog140. This is a job list of all users with 150+ main and file edits, that have been active in the last two weeks. Matt(Talk) 14:17, September 18, 2011 (UTC)

Does anybody think that we should alert the people who originally entered before and haven't yet re-entered that they need to enter again to take part in the tournament? I noticed that Helloher posted here earlier but didn't add a new entry, so maybe he (and possibly others) haven't noticed that they need to enter again. Christophee (talk) 16:46, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
If you want, I'll send a batch of emails to everyone who's eligable (see list) Matt(Talk) 16:47, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
I didn't think that the email user function was still available on Wikia, but if it is possible then that would help a lot. Christophee (talk) 16:55, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
I meant sent a talk message, but I'll still do that, although not right now. Matt(Talk) 17:31, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
If we don't hear from them we'll just keep their original choices. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 18:59, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
I'll have to make something. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 22:26, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
I'm starting sending welcome messages now. Matt(Talk) 06:40, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

Splash

Seperately, I've come up with a simple splash, very much a work in progress, any suggestions welcome. DL here Matt(Talk) 20:47, September 17, 2011 (UTC)

That's a very good idea, except for one thing: My computer can't view the file. Any hints?-- STORM II  17:47, October 26, 2011 (UTC)
I think its the website not anyone's computer. There's been problems when I've uploaded images to that site. The Samster 20:07, October 26, 2011 (UTC)
To everyone, use photobucket or flickr or something, they're free for you, and i'm not downloading zips just to look at pictures. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 20:58, October 26, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, this website hasn't been working that well, I'll post it up on photobucket. Btw RA2, have you got The Samster's Replicas to work? Christophee and Datovidny couldn't get them to work? Matt(Talk) 09:09, October 27, 2011 (UTC)
The link is now up.[2] Matt(Talk) 09:14, October 27, 2011 (UTC)
He never sent the replicas to me. @Samster, please upload them to mediafire or something. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 12:18, October 27, 2011 (UTC)
The splash looks good. I'm not sure what improvements you could make to it, unless we want to incorporate the Wikia logo like we did before. Christophee (talk) 14:52, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

Robot Arena 2 - UKIkarus

I Love RA2, had it for years!!!

Unfortunately it let me down due to having a significant latency issue when playing multiplayer, all of the client's robots would jump about out of sync to the host (never did get a fix) our solution was simple 1 PC with a big monitor attached a few game pads and birds-eye camera view =D (isometric corner arena type one) everyone could see their bots and still had a sense of depth.

I did at one point make a Gemini bot (yes 2 chassis!) by editing the saved robot file manually in notepad. unfortunately any wheels attached to the second chassis made only the first one move (game physics) so we had to compromise with sawblades for wheels haha.

Needless to say it worked! but the grip and torque were very poor on the second chassis.

Still needed

As of 25/11, I still don't have Terror Bull or Mega Hurts LT (the zip files are corrupted), and I don't have a choice from Helloher. I'm happy to just randomly assign you a replica so that you still have a horse in the race, but please let me know of your new choice ASAP if you don't want that. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 18:40, November 25, 2011 (UTC)

As it doesn't look like Helloher is entering, I've had an idea for a new format. We would add three byebots to the 15 entries and split the 18 robots into three heats (with one byebot in each heat). The heats would keep the same format as the last replica tournament (with losers melees etc.) and the three heat winners would make the semi-finals. The last place would be determined by holding another losers melee between the defeated heat finalists. Then we would have four robots for the semi-finals, and you can work it out from there. Does that sound good, or is it too many battles? Christophee (talk) 19:10, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
I actually just heard from Helloher; he said he'd make a choice very soon so that's one taken care of. The latest vaersion of the Mega Hurts Zip is still unpoenable, so I still need a resend on those; filming will commence beginning on 17/12, so Ineed the lineups and the new choices by them. I can't remeber whose backing Terror Bull or Mega H8urts but could someone remind them for me that they need to make new choices unless they're ok with me just giving them something random? Thanks. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 21:18, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
Would a Raging Reality replica be be for me now please, RA2??--Shayfan 16:26, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
Don't think I can do that one, sorry. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 16:28, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
I have told The Samster to upload to mediafire the two replicas, complete with all components used to make sure it works. Matt(Talk) 17:17, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
Would Lambsy or Roobarb be do-able, please--Shayfan 17:01, December 2, 2011 (UTC)

Tree

Did anyone volunteer to take care of the bracket randomizing? I'd like to start filming in 2 weeks if possible. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 20:03, December 1, 2011 (UTC)

Leave it with me. I don't guarantee you'll have a nice fancy looking bracket, but I'll randomise for you. What replica is Helloher entering? Matt(Talk) 20:32, December 1, 2011 (UTC)

THanks. He's chosen Gravity. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 20:37, December 1, 2011 (UTC)

Please could I have some responsibility on this one. I'd like to try do something useful for once--Shayfan 21:38, December 1, 2011 (UTC)

Don't worry about it Shayfan, I've got this one covered. Matt(Talk) 21:39, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
OK, the draw is done, and I'll post it in the morning. Matt(Talk) 22:03, December 1, 2011 (UTC)

Here's the tree everyone, sorry for it taking a while, Linux is a pain in the arse to deal with sometimes

Can ROTS self right?--Shayfan 19:07, December 2, 2011 (UTC)
Only if it's set to spin the disc while self righting. The Samster 10:48, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

Excellent job. Just one thing though, Snowdog is using Crusader 2 not Kronic. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 15:15, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

Apologies, fixed now. Out of interest, how are you planning to upload these videos- my personal idea would be one fight every day leading up to the final on the anniversary itself, but I know you tend to do it round-by-round. Matt(Talk) 16:30, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

I think regardless of who I was using I'm in for a first round loss =P —Preceding unsigned comment added by Snowdog140 (talkcontribs)

Even if you can survive Conquering Clown, then you'll have Gravity, who's my tip for the competition. The Samster 22:08, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

Well, Snowdog, at least you're not fighting the German Champion with a robot that can't self-right... /M|ddle Eye\ (Talk) 10:17, December 4, 2011 (UTC)

I'm happy enough with my first round draw, but the two machines who I could face in Round 2 scare me--Shayfan 10:39, December 4, 2011 (UTC)
