I've been forming a list of robots in my mind of who failed to qualify for the Fifth Wars. Aggrobot, Disc-O-Inferno, Comengetorix and Killertron all fought in Extreme 1, but not Series 5. The series 5 qualifier battles were a live event that drew a small audience, so they pitted new machines against seeds for the entertainment factor. Seeded machines were through, regardless of whether they won or lost, but unseeded machines had to impress the judges in order to qualify.
