Golden Eye was a robot that failed to qualify for Series 5.

It was then sold to Team Orr and fought under the name Mythras at live events. As heavyweight spinners were not allowed at most events at the time, the disk was removed and replaced with a deachable wedge. Despite using older technology Mythras scored a surprise victory over Dantomkia during this period.

In 2009 Team Orr announced that Mythras was in a state of semi- retirement as it was to be replaced with Iron-Awe 4, later known as Orrion. For several years it was cared for by Dan Townend of Team ASBO. However as of 2013 it is currently in the possession of Joseph Montagu from Team Orr who intends to restore the robot to fighting condition.

Design

Golden Eye is an invertible, four-wheeled, box shaped robot. Its weapon was a horizontal spinning disc.

Qualification

Golden Eye lost to Lightning in its Series 5 qualifier fight after being flipped, which damaged the speed controllers and disconnected the batteries rendering Golden Eye immobile. However it also caused damage to Lightning with its disc. This damage is visible in several of Lightning's later televised fights.
