Grinder was a box wedge shaped robot in the middleweight category that entered the Middleweight Melee in Series 3 of Robot Wars. It originally entered the Middleweight Championship, but the event was cancelled after an accident in the pits. Its body was made from an old wheelbarrow, and it featured a circular saw as a weapon. It lost its only battle after sustaining damage from Shunt.
After Robot Wars, Grinder was bought by Team Xbotz, who used it for several events. After Team Xbotz retired, Grinder was then sold on eBay.
Robot History
Series 3
Very little was seen of Grinder throughout the Middleweight Melee. After pushing A-Kill around for a little, Grinder stopped moving as it lost all power. A-Kill pushed it into Shunt, who punctured its wheelbarrow shell. Shunt then shoveled it into the centre of the arena before it was then grabbed by Dead Metal, who held it over the arena spike, whilst sawing through its top. It was left on top of the floor spike, which continued to jab at its underside, and after getting free, was briefly seen once more being pushed by Sir Killalot. Grinder was deemed the first robot in the Melee to be eliminated.
