Guido Bagatta is an Italian sports journalist, television and radio presenter who provided commentary over fights during the Italian dub of Series 3 of Robot Wars.
Robot Wars[]
For the Italian dub of The Third Wars, Bagatta's role within the show was solely to commentate over battles. His commentary was unique, rather than being a direct translation of Jonathan Pearce's original commentary.
Unlike Swedish presenter and commentator Janne Blomqvist, Bagatta did not make a physical appearance on the show. The role of presenting for this series was filled by Marco Bellavia.
Much like Bellavia, Bagetta did not return to provide commentary for later dubbed series.
Outside Robot Wars[]
Bagatta began commentary in 1980, where he lent his voice to various NFL games for Canale 5. This evolved into Bagatta commentating over Superbowl events over the years.
He also has a strong interest in basketball, co-commentating alongside former American basketball coach Dan Peterson, who spent much of his own career overseeing Italian basketball teams.
Bagatta was also president of La Mens Sana Basketball Academy from July 2017 to May 2018.[1]
