Hairy (also referred to as Hairy the Walker) was a six-legged walker that attempted to qualify for Series 2 of Robot Wars, where it would have been a joint pioneer of the walking system with Jim Struts.

At the time of the Series 2 rehearsals, Hairy was black skeletal robot, with largely exposed wires. Its internals contained six McKibben muscles[1] which would make the legs of the robot rather flexible. Each leg was decorated with grey "knee joints" seemingly being based on a spider's legs. It is unknown if the robot was complete at the time.
Qualification[]
Although not much is known about its Series 2 rehearsal, the known images suggest that the robot was not complete by the time of qualification, with not all the legs being fitted on in time[2] and a lack of armour. Ultimately, Hairy would not compete in Series 2.
