For the Trial event that took place during the Second Wars, see Joust.
"Not quite a knight in shining armour but a deadly robot, no one will save you from Joust"
Jonathan Pearce's in-game commentary

Joust is a fictional competitor robot in the video game Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction. It is a box wedge shaped robot armed with a lance on the front (presumably where it gets its name from) and a forward-facing flamethrower on the top.

Joust is available to buy in Competition mode for 4380 credits after unlocking Stage 2.

Using JoustEdit

Despite the lance being in the way, Joust has great pushing power, and this can be used to force your opponent into arena obstacles. As Joust is fairly slow, try to keep the front pointed towards the opposing robot, as this is the only part protected by weapons.

Against JoustEdit

Outmanoeuvring Joust is the best tactic, as it is slow to turn, and the sides and rear are vulnerable. Don't get into a straight-on pushing match, as Joust is very powerful and not easy to defeat in this way. However, due to the lance getting in the way, it can be a good spot for robots to capitalise upon, provided the robot has good pushing power.
