Lifting Weapons are a group of weapons that are specialised in lifting and turning over other robots.
Popular since the earliest series of Robot Wars - and first seen in the original 1994-1997 US competitions - they exist in several distinctive forms. Lifters can be designed to take the form of arms, scoops, forks and even conveyor belts, and are usually powered by pneumatic or electrically-based mechanisms.
