Robot Wars Wiki

The list below consists of errors made in official Robot Wars media, in the form of misinformation, spelling errors, visual discrepancies, and other miscellaneous mistakes made.

Note: The rebooted/Revival series of Robot Wars rarely referenced the Classic Series. As such, "errors" that are simply failures to recall events from previous series of Robot Wars are generally excluded from this list, as they are perceived to be deliberate omissions.

TV Series[]

General[]

  • Jonathan Pearce frequently uses the term "armament" to describe armour when the term actually refers to weaponry.
  • Occasionally during Series 5 and Extreme 1, the team booths will not feature a picture of their robot in the background. Sometimes, it uses the image of their opponent, and sometimes it features a robot that isn't even participating in the current battle.
  • Starting from Extreme 1, due to the robots entering the arena being shown out of order, robots are seen entering the arena and then seconds later they are still in the doorway.
  • Throughout Extreme 1 and Series 5, the pictures on the statistics boards often show the wrong version of the robot - for example, a picture of Dominator 2 without the wheel guards is used in Series 5, and some of the Extreme 1 battles, such as the Wild Card battle, even though Dominator 2 added wheel guards after their Extreme 1 All-Stars battle, and in Spawn Again's Heat and Semi-Final in Series 5, the picture on the statistics board shows Spawn Again with the Extreme 1 paint scheme instead of the Series 5 paint scheme.
  • Mortis was said to cost £100,000 to build. In reality, the out-of-pocket costs were much lower, and that number represents a rough approximation of the robot's value based on its customized parts and engineering.
  • Jonathan Pearce occasionally referred to robots' weapons as being hydraulic when they were actually pneumatic, and vice versa. Matilda's tusks and Firestorm's flipper being referred to as hydraulic on many occasions are notable examples.
  • On several robots' statistics boards, some of the team members had either their first name or their surname larger than the other.
  • In series which used House Robot statistics boards, often the given statistics boards would not match which House Robots were actually present in the battle. For example, Sgt. Bash and Matilda were introduced as the House Robots for the second Eliminator of the Series 5 Grand Final, despite Shunt actually appearing in the battle in place of the latter.
  • Many statistics boards feature a team member who is not even present with the team either because they were unable to attend or were absent from filming or so.
  • In some battles, the 'Cease' announcement would not be heard at the end.
  • Similarly, the 'Roboteers Stand By' announcement was sometimes not heard before some battles.
  • When a replay of something gets shown, there are some occasions where the replay icon is not shown either at the bottom right or left of the screen.
  • In some battles in Series 4 and Extreme 1, the Series 2-3 "Cease" announcement would be heard instead of the Series 4 and Extreme 1 versions respectively. This was sorted from Series 5 onwards.
  • Although Chaos 2's top speed was consistently quoted as 20mph in the TV series, it was always quoted as 12mph in other media, such as the various official guides.
  • Many of 101's official images involved it missing something, either one or both of its logos or its wedges that were added in Extreme 1.
  • In all of Firestorm's appearances in Extreme 1 and Series 5, its official image on its statistics board had one of its antennas cut off.
  • Wheely Big Cheese's official image on its statistics board in Extreme 1 and Series 5 lacked the logo.
  • On 3 Stegs 2 Heaven's statistics board in Extreme 1 and Series 5, its official image had its double-ended spinning bar cut off.
  • Velocirippa's official image on its statistics board in Extreme 1 and Series 5 lacked the nostrils and also had blue tusks instead of white tusks.
  • In Extreme 1 and Series 5, Sumpthing's statistics board referred to its arm as a crusher.
  • Hydra's hammer was often referred to as an axe.
  • Revenge of Trouble & Strife's statistics board in Series 6 and Extreme 2 did not mention its spinning rim while in Series 7, it was referred to as a disc which many people on the show did as well.
  • Throughout both seasons of the US series Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors, the description of Sir Killalot's power source on his statistics board used the UK term 'petrol' rather than the US equivalent 'gas'.
  • Throughout the series in which he was a part of Team Nemesis, Ciarán Byrne's name was often misspelt as Cairon Byrne, especially in later series and video games.
  • Throughout Nickelodeon Robot Wars, clips showing various fire-based hazards in action, including Sgt. Bash's flamethrower and the Flame Pit, are used frequently for battle boards and House Robot introductions. This is despite the series having most of these flame hazards disabled during battles, with the Flame Pit converted to spout jets of CO2 instead.
  • From the first series of Robot Wars Extreme to the Seventh Wars, the official images of some of the robots on their statistics boards are stretched.
  • Team member names on the robot statistics boards were frequently spelt wrong, this usually included the wrong letters in a person's name or the addition of letters that their real name does not have. An example of this is Jon McGugan from Team Big Cheese. Spellings of his name on the statsboards included 'John McGugan' and 'Jon McGuigan'.

The First Wars[]

  • On Roadblock's statistics board in Heat A, Hender Blewett's name was incorrectly spelt as "Hender Blewitt".
  • Grunt was listed as a heavyweight, despite being a middleweight.
  • At the start of Barry's post-Gauntlet interview in Heat A, Jeremy Clarkson says "Well you were lucky there, because you were about to be eaten". This quote is oddly recycled at the start of Krayzee Tokyo's post-Gauntlet interview in Heat D.
  • Upon Nemesis' win over Shunt in the Sumo trial of Heat A, the shot of team member William Murphy celebrating was recycled earlier in the programme, after Nemesis' completion of the Gauntlet.
  • In Heat A, the fight between Nemesis and Roadblock is originally believed to have resulted in the first ever judge's decision. Instead, the televised broadcast presents Roadblock as the winner by knockout.
  • In the Arena stage of Heat A, the solo shot of Shogun on its starting position just before the fight against Killertron is missing.
  • Clare Greenaway had her first name misspelt as "Claire" on Detonator's statistics board in Heat B.
  • In Heat B, Arthur Chilcott's name was spelt as Arthur Chillcot on Mortis' statistics board. This was corrected in Mortis' other Robot Wars appearances.
  • During Scrapper's Gauntlet run in Heat B, Jonathan Pearce erroneously referred to Charles Lavery as Ken Toogood.
  • Jonathan Pearce said in the Heat Final of Heat B that Mortis' axe looked bent when in actuality, the axe had been removed completely prior to the battle, the weapon shaft sealed and the tantō head repurposed into a ramming blade.
  • In Heat B, Philippa Forrester's pre-Trial interview with Team Cassius is a segment taken from the pre-Arena final interview, concerning Recyclopse and Mortis.
  • Also in Heat B, during the British Bulldog trial, Mortis is seen approaching Matilda from the top-right in one shot, only to disappear in the very next shot as the latter rams Recyclopse. However, it is seen directly next to Matilda in the background of the following shot, where Shunt pushes Leighbot into a pyramid.
  • Prior to the British Bulldog trial in Heat B, when Jeremy Clarkson is mentioning the house robots, the clip of Matilda moving is not from the trial.
  • In the Arena stage of Heat B, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly states that Scrapper was defeated by a flip from Recyclopse's pneumatic tongue, while footage clearly shows Recyclopse toppling Scrapper by ramming into it.
  • In Heat C, Wedgehog team member Hugo Elias' name was misspelt "Eilas".
  • In Heat E, the results table for the Labyrinth Trial featured two notable errors:
    • Psychosprout's name was misspelt as Pyschosprout. This was also made on the robot's statistics board.
    • REALI-T and Bodyhammer were shown to have finished fourth and second respectively, effectively reversing their actual finishing positions in the Trial itself.
  • For the final three heats, the original format for the battles (1 vs 3, 2 vs 4) was removed.
  • In Heat D, Jeremy Clarkson stated incorrectly that it featured lightweight robots.
  • As Mortis was announced as the best engineered robot in the awards of the final episode, Arthur Chilcott had his name misspelt as "Arthur Chillcut".
    • This was the second time his name had been misspelt, and in two different ways.
  • In Heat C, Cruella's statistics board read that it featured a circular saw as its weapon, though technically it was a weapon-less robot.
  • After Dreadnaut's Gauntlet run in Heat C, Jonathan Pearce referred to the robot as Dreadlock.
  • On the results table after the Football trial in Heat C, Possession was misspelt as Possesion.
  • In Heat D, SAT'arn's introduction clips in the arena and the pits show the robot displayed with moulded aesthetics for the bull's face, and armed with large horned weapons whereas throughout the competition itself, SAT'arn has a traditional painted face and smaller horns.
  • In Heat E, Philippa Forrester's pre-Trial interview with The Boy Sprouts team is actually the first portion of Psychosprout's pre-Gauntlet interview.
  • During the battle between Bodyhammer and Torque of the Devil in Heat E, footage shots of the latter's roboteers from its Gauntlet run were reused.
  • In Heat F, Skarab's name was misspelt as Scarab, the exact same spelling as the identically-named Series 3 and Dutch Series 2 competitors.
  • Before the arena stage of Heat F, Jeremy Clarkson listed Violence in place of Damage as a judging category.
  • Before activate was called in the Heat F battle between Skarab and The Blob, Jonathan Pearce said that The Blob weighed 68kg, when it was actually 73.9kg.
  • During the Grand Final fight, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly referred to Robot The Bruce as Robert the Bruce, the historical Scottish leader that its name plays on.
  • Various shots of roboteers in this series were screened twice. In Heat B, the shot of Clare Greenaway during Detonator's elimination in the British Bulldog trial was repeated at the end of the post-round interview. In the same heat a close-up view of Paul Shearwood's controller from behind, during Uglybot's Gauntlet run was shown again in the Grand Final melee. In Heat E, the shot of Team Cold Fusion celebrating in the Arena stage was used twice following Bodyhammer's victories over Torque Of The Devil and REALI-T respectively.

The Second Wars[]

  • Clare Greenaway's first name was consistently spelt as 'Claire' on Napalm's statistics boards.
  • At the end of Piece de Resistance's Gauntlet run in Heat A, the original and scrapped voiceover call 'Stop and deactivate robots', used in Series 1, can be heard instead of the standard 'Cease' call.
  • Tantrum's Gauntlet run in Heat B was not accompanied with any backing music.
  • Mick Cutter of Team Chaos was erroneously referred to by both Jonathan Pearce and Craig Charles as "Mike Cutter" throughout Heat B. This mistake was also made on Chaos' statistics board.
  • In Heat C, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly described Rameses II's predecessor Skarab in Series 1 as 'a slow moving cheese sandwich', when in actual fact Jeremy Clarkson referred to it as 'cheese on toast'.
  • It was constantly stated, even by the team themselves, that Killertron had reached the Grand Final of the First Wars when it fell in the Heat Final.
  • Jonathan Pearce incorrectly referred to Sir Killalot as "Killertron" shortly before the Grand Final match between Cassius and Roadblock.
  • Adam Clark was seen in the driving booth twice during the robot introductions in Heat F, when Corporal Punishment and The Parthian Shot drove out.
  • In the Sumo Trial in Heat F, Corporal Punishment was listed higher than Panic Attack on the scoreboard, even though Shunt fell off the platform quicker in his fight against Panic Attack.
  • During the battle between Corporal Punishment and Disruptor in Heat F Jonathan Pearce claimed that Matilda had a circular saw instead of the chainsaw weapon that was attached to her at the time. Jonathan Pearce would make the same error again during Plunderbird II's Gauntlet run in Semi Final 2.
  • While introducing the robots competing in Heat G, Jonathan Pearce stated that Nemesis had been equipped with a rear saw blade, despite the robot not being armed with this type of weapon in this series.
    • Additionally, Nemesis' statistics board in Heat G completely ignored its pneumatic spike weapon.
  • In Heat I, Cruella's circular saw weapon was listed as being 6 feet wide (6') instead of 6 inches (6").
  • During Ivanhoe's pit introduction in Heat J, the robot's rolling demonstration to self-right takes place after its Arena final defeat to G.B.H., as opposed to before the start of the competition.
  • Craig Charles incorrectly calls Enzyme team member Angus Dunican 'Angus Duncan' in Heat K.
  • The introductions and Gauntlet runs of Mace and Behemoth in Semi Final 1 were swapped in order to second and fourth respectively, despite the former appearing in Heat B, and the latter in Heat D.
  • In Semi-Final 1, Mortis was stated to have scored one hundred points in its Pinball run, when in actuality it scored seventy-five points.
  • After the fight between Havoc and Flirty Skirty in Heat L, Craig Charles mispronounced the latter as 'Flirty Shirty'.
  • In Semi-Final 2, both Jonathan Pearce and the stats board refer to Haardvark having a cutting disc on an arm, despite this having been removed due to the weight limit and not seen until the following series.

Robot Wars Revealed[]

Casius

Cassius, misspelt as Casius in Robot Wars Revealed

Team Hardvark

Team "Hardvark" introduce themselves and their machine

  • In Episode 3, during a behind-the-scenes segment where roboteers are shown the stage for the Joust Trial, the on-screen text erroneously states that "Roboteers are given a pre-Trial look at King of the Castle."
  • Philippa Forrester's introduction for Episode 5 mentions 'Aggression' as being the most important criteria on Robot Wars, though the judging criteria for the Classic run always put it as 'Damage'.
  • When John Wittle explained Pain's initial technical issues to Philippa Forrester in Episode 5, he erroneously referred to its 'piston-driven spike' weapon as a 'cutting disc'.
  • Cassius' name was misspelt as Casius during highlights of its Arena battles from Episode 8. This error was also repeated in equivalent recaps from Episode 14.
  • Similarly, Haardvark was frequently spelt as Hardvark in multiple captions from Episode 12, along with recaps of its Heat performance in Episode 14.
  • Also in Episode 12, two errors relating to the Heat L Sumo segment occur:
  • The footage used to show the platform being assembled actually depicts the King of the Castle set being prepared; the original footage was previously shown in Episode 5.
  • Prior to the Sumo highlights, the 'Arena' transition animation was mistakenly played before Craig Charles' intro from Heat L.

The Third Wars[]

  • When Technophobic was introduced in Heat B, it was said to have been eliminated in Round 1 of Series 2, despite reaching its heat final. It was also said to have appeared in the second heat of the Second Wars, despite it having appeared in the fifth heat of that series. Ironically, Technophonic appeared in the second heat of Series 3.
  • In Heat B, Sumpthing's statistics board incorrectly stated that it was powered by two car starter motors. However, Jonathan Pearce correctly mentioned that it was powered by four car starter motors.
  • Oddly, the background music for the first battle of Heat B was the Robot Wars ending theme, rather than the usual battle theme.
  • Robocow's statistics board in Heat B featured two errors; it claimed it was 6.6 metres wide, and the Notes section read "Has a wagging wooden tale", when "tail" would be the correct spelling.
  • When introducing Behemoth in Heat B, Jonathan Pearce claimed that the name actually translates as "strong willed water-ox". However, it actually merely translates as "any creature of monstrous size or power".
  • After the fight between Behemoth and Shark Attack in Heat B, Craig Charles made a comment about Shark Attack being like "a dolphin that's been slapped around the gills". However, dolphins are mammals and, therefore, do not have gills.
  • Before the Heat B Final, the "Roboteers, stand by" announcement was not heard.
  • During the Heat B Final, Jonathan Pearce stated Behemoth to be "by far the heavier, nearly 20kg heavier than Pitbull". This is not true as Behemoth was billed at 82kg compared to Pitbull's 79.6kg.
  • Spike's statistics board completely ignored its pneumatic spike weapon.
  • During the battle between Blade and Spike in Heat C, when noticing Blade's front blades had stopped, Jonathan Pearce stated the front blades had stopped on Spike instead.
  • Jonathan Pearce erroneously referred to Agent Orange's predecessor Spin Doctor as a finalist, despite not even reaching its heat final.
  • Agent Orange's statistics board in Heat C did not mention its pickaxe weapon.
  • Craig Charles incorrectly introduced the Middleweight Melee as the first round of the Middleweight Championship - it is unknown if this line was originally filmed for the Middleweight Championship.
  • A number of editing errors occurred in Aggrobot's battles against Razer and Blade in Heat C. One notable one included both Aggrobot and Blade being on the right side of the arena in shots of them when there should have been Aggrobot being on the left side of the arena before the heat final.
  • In the Heat C Final, Jonathan Pearce erroneously called Blade's team captain Josh Ainslie "John Ainslie".
  • During the end credits of Heat C, the battle theme was played instead of the ending theme.
  • In Heat D, Steve Merrill of Sir Chromalot was referred to as "Steve Merrick". This mistake would also be made in the original Robot Wars Magazine.
  • On Shell Shock's team caption, the robot's name was spelt as "Shellshock".
  • Big Brother's statistics board listed Ian Watts as the team captain when in reality, Joe Watts was the team captain.
  • In Sonic's fight against Hammertron in Heat E, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly said Team Power came from Hagley Road in Birmingham, some ten miles away from Hagley Roman Catholic High School in Worcester, the correct location the team was from.
  • In Heat F, Jonathan Pearce quoted Ming's circular saw as being twenty-two inches when it was actually twenty-three inches.
  • In conclusion of the Heat F final Craig Charles complements on Gravedigger flipping Darke Destroyer, while battle footage and the view from Dead Metal's camera instead shows Darke Destroyer getting flipped on an arena floor spike during a push from Gravedigger, who then fired and missed with its flipping arm a second later.
  • In Heat G, Orac's Revenge was announced as being from London, when it actually came from Bicester, Oxfordshire.
  • In Heat G, Steg-O-Saw-Us was erroneously spelt as Steg-A-Saw-Us on the battle board. The correct spelling was used on the battle board in both of its subsequent appearances.
  • After Sir Killalot is set ablaze in the match between Napalm and Robopig in Heat G, Jonathan Pearce says "that's the first time we've seen that in Robot Wars history", this being incorrect as Sgt. Bash set fire to Sir Killalot in Robo Doc's Gauntlet run in Series 2.
  • In Heat H, Berserk 2's name was misspelt as "Beserk 2". This error also appears on Hypno-Disc's page in Robot Wars: The Official Robot Guide.
  • In this series, Hypno-Disc's statistics board stated that the flywheel weapon's maximum speed was 500rpm, which the team mentioned in their team introduction in Heat H and Semi-Final 2 but in the former, Jonathan Pearce falsely clarified the maximum speed for the weapon was 600rpm.
  • Excalibur was incorrectly spelt as "Excaliber".
  • During the tour of the pits at the start of Heat K, Philippa Forrester incorrectly introduced Axios as Axiom. Also, she referred to Toe Cutter's blade as a spike.
  • During Craig Charles' introduction in Heat L, he mentions that Oliver Cromwell "had to gather an army to fight the Roundheads". Oliver Cromwell actually led the Roundheads into battle to fight against Charles I of England and his Cavaliers.
  • In Heat L, Triterabot was given no introduction clip from its team, before the battle with Evil Weevil.
  • Robert Bettington of Cold Fusion Team had his name misspelt as "Robert Bittington" on Pussycat's statistics board in Heat M.
  • Thermador was omitted completely during Philippa Forrester's introduction of robots in the pits at the start of Heat M.
  • In Heat N, Daisy Chopper's statistics board incorrectly referred to its vertical spinning disc as a "circular saw or a hammer". Jonathan Pearce made this same mistake as well.
  • In Heat N, the statistics board for Prizephita mistakenly displayed the names of the Rattus Rattus team instead.
  • Cassius 2's pneumatic ram was somewhat crudely described by Jonathan Pearce and its statistics board as a "flip-up paddle".
  • Jonathan Pearce claimed Psychokiller took two months to build, but the robot's statistics board said it took three months to build.
  • In the recap, shown in the Grand Final, Jonathan Pearce said Gravedigger defeated Darke Destroyer in the second round and then Mortis in the Heat Final when it was the other way round. He also said Hypno-Disc defeated 101 in Round 1 of the semi-finals and Evil Weevil in Round 2 when it was the other way round. The latter statement was corrected later on.
  • When referring to Cold Fusion's past robot, Bodyhammer, Jonathan Pearce falsely stated that "it had no wheels". This error may have stemmed from the team's analysis of their Gauntlet run in Robot Wars Revealed, where Andrew Dayton-Lovett lamented that "we had no wheels on the ground" once getting stuck on the ramrig.
  • On X-Terminator's statistics board in Heat K, Marlon Pritchard's name was misspelt as "Marlen Pritchard".
  • Allan Millyard had his name misspelt as "Allen Millyard" on Crocodilotron's statistics board in Heat E.
  • On The General's statistics board in the Robotic Soccer, Haydn James from Team General had his name misspelt as "Hayden James".
  • Peter Bignell had his name misspelt as "Peter Bignall" on Inverterbrat's statistics board in Heat I.
  • On Sting 2's statistics board in Heat O, Pete Allsop had his name misspelt as "Pete Allsopp".
  • Unusually, there was no clip of Craig Charles saying "Let the wars begin" before the first Round 1 battle of Heat G, nor was there footage of the Championship Round One sequence appearing.
  • At the end of Heat H, Jonathan Pearce said that Mace 2, Pitbull, Blade, Big Brother, Chaos 2, Gravedigger, Steg-O-Saw-Us and Hypno-Disc would be competing in the first semi-final. While Mace 2, Pitbull, Big Brother and Chaos 2 did appear in Semi-Final 1, Blade, Gravedigger, Steg-O-Saw-Us and Hypno-Disc actually appeared in Semi-Final 2.
    • Also in the rundown of these robots, the clips from Heats C and D were switched round.
  • When reviewing Crusher in the tour of the pits at the start of Heat I, Philippa Forrester says "I don't think we've had a crusher yet so far" despite another robot with a crusher appearing earlier in the series.
  • While reviewing the line-up for the eliminators of Heat L, Jonathan Pearce refers to Challenger 2 as "Challenge 2" but then later refers to it as its proper name for the rest of the episode.
  • In Heat F, The First World Championship and the International League Championship, Mortis' statistics board referred to its axe as a hammer. Its statistics board in its Pinball run corrected this error.
    • By contrast, Mortis' statistics board in the International League Championship did not mention its lifting arm.
  • Despite being part of the 101 team in this series and appearing in its first two battles against Overkill and Centurion as well as even being present in its team introduction for the main series, Paul Johnson's name was not present on the robot's statistics board. By contrast, his name was present on 101's statistics board in The First World Championship despite him not being present in the team's introduction for battles in that episode.
  • In Heat J and The First World Championship, Weld-Dor's statistics board referred to its axe as a hammer.
  • In Heat O, John Turnbull's name was misspelt as "John Turnball" on Schumey Too's statistics board.
  • During the fight between Facet and Terminal Ferocity, the 'KillCam' graphics for Sir Killalot's onboard camera were superimposed onto Shunt's camera. Also, Sir Killalot wasn't present in that battle.
  • In Heat P, Mik Reed of S.M.I.D.S.Y. had his name misspelt as Mike Reed on the robot's statistics board.
  • During Heat P, Twn Trwn's name was frequently mispronounced (usually as Tun Turun).
  • In Heat P, Stuart McDonald simply introduced Victor 2 as "Victor".
  • In the opening titles recap of Heat P, the clips from Heats M and N were switched round.
  • During Brimhur's first round battle against Weeliwako in Heat A, Jonathan Pearce said "I think Brimhur is immobilised here. I think the motors must have been burnt out on the flame pit, and certainly Mace thinks so too" despite Mace 2 not being present during the battle.
  • On Trident's statistics board, Neil Ward was referred to as "Peter Ward".
  • On Trident's statistics board in Semi-Final 1, Peter Benn had two spaces in between his name.
  • At the start of Heat F, Philippa Forrester said Mortis cost thirty grand for that series but later after its defeat to Gravedigger, she said "forty grand down the pit".
  • An editing error in the battle between Chaos 2 and Mace 2 in Semi-Final 1 showed Sir Killalot going towards the floor flipper with Mace 2 after facing away from the floor flipper.
  • On the 'Weapons' section of Gravedigger's statistics board, 'hydraulic' was misspelt as 'hyraulic' in both of its appearances in Heat F and Semi-Final 2.
  • After Centurion's defeat to 101 in Heat J, it was shown in a CPZ instead of near the arena wall where the house robots attacked it.
  • In the list of all the robots that competed in Series 3, Darke Destroyer was misspelt as "Dark Destroyer", Ally Gator was misspelt as "Ally Gaitor", Victor 2 was simply listed as "Victor", Twn Trwn was misspelt as "Twn Twrn" and Dreadnaut was misspelt as "Dreadnought". All these errors are also made in various books and magazines and on various websites. In addition, Tut's Revenge was listed as "Tuts Revenge".
  • When announcing the Sportsmanship Award, Plunderstorm was listed as "Plunderbird" but all the same, it was one of the Plunderbird incarnations after all.
  • After the first round of Heat D, the battle board for the second round said "Big Brother vs Sir Chromalot" and "Ultor vs Bumblebot", but later, it said "Sir Chromalot vs Big Brother" and "Bumblebot vs Ultor".
  • In its official Series 3 image, Weld-Dor's name was written on the opposite side of the robot to that seen during the battles.
  • During the fight between All Torque and Thing 2 in Heat N, the camera cuts from All Torque beached below Shunt in the CPZ to All Torque trapped between Shunt and the arena wall, with Sergeant Bash having inexplicably appeared in the CPZ in less than one second.
  • In Heat H, Death Warmed Up was described as being from Yorkshire instead of Ossett in West Yorkshire.
  • Depoppesaurus Rex had its name spelt both in the correct way but also as 'Depopposaurus Rex' during the International League Championship.
  • A particularly curious piece of editing occurred in the International League Championship. During the battle between Terror Australis - or Nemesis, in reality - and Diotoir, the House Robots occupying the four CPZs were Matilda, Shunt, Sir Killalot and Dead Metal. However, once Terror Australis was pitted, the action then temporarily cut to a completely different battle - Diotoir's second round battle against The Steel Avenger from Heat O. For some reason, the viewers were then shown Sgt. Bash setting Diotoir alight during that battle, which is identifiable, as the immobilised Steel Avenger is still in the shot. After a cutaway shot, the action then returns with Diotoir now alight, but with the House Robots that were actually present during its battle against Terror Australis. Because of this editing, it is also unknown how Diotoir actually caught fire in this particular battle in the International League Championship.
  • Jonathan Metcalfe's name was misspelt as "Jonathan Metcalf" on Anorakaphobia's statistics board in Heat E.
  • In Heat L, Stan Launchbury had two spaces inbetween his name on Triterobot's statistics board.
  • On Panzer's statistics board in Heat L, the word disc was spelt as "disk".
  • During the Robotic Soccer match between Evil Weevil and Alien in Heat E, Jonathan Pearce said Matilda lost one of her eyes when she instead lost one of her horns.
  • Before the battle between Chaos 2 and Firestorm, Graham Bone was seen holding the controls, but later Alex Mordue was holding them.
  • Terror Australis' statistics board in The First World Championship stated that it was powered by '2 wheelchair motors', armed with a 'spear, spikes and blades', and noted to have a working pressure of 1000psi, the latter presumably for the aforementioned weapons. These statistics are for the version of Nemesis which competed under its name in the International League Championship, not the original robot, which was powered by a 4hp petrol engine and armed with a circular saw and rear spikes. Jonathan Pearce's commentary and Terror Australis' team introduction correctly refer to the original robot's statistics, however.
  • At the end of The First World Championship, Team Razer was shown receiving the International League Championship trophy. The same clip of Razer's trophy presentation would later be reused for the International League Championship itself.
  • While Jonathan Pearce was reading through the eliminators for The First World Championship, the second eliminator originally said "Weld-Dor vs Prometheus", but later, it said "Prometheus vs Weld-Dor".
  • Wild Willy's official image on its team caption lacked its axe weapon.
  • Berserk 2's statistics board referred to its axe as a hammer.
  • On its statistics board, Armour Geddon's name was spelt as "Armour-Geddon".
  • In Heat K, a false statement from Jonathan Pearce was that X-Terminator ran on tracks due to its exposed drive chains.
  • On the Pitbull team caption in Semi-Final 1, its name was spelt as "Pit Bull". This is also made in many books such as the official guides.
  • Trident's statistics board stated it took two hundred and fifty hours to build when it actually took three hundred and fifty hours to build, which Jonathan Pearce mentioned in Semi-Final 1.
  • During the fight between 101 and Scutter's Revenge in Semi-Final 2, Jonathan Pearce wrongly mentions that 101's spike weapon had yet to been seen in action, including in its previous rounds although, the fights against Centurion and King Buxton in Heat J evidently show 101 utilizing its spike.
  • In the battle between Steg-O-Saw-Us and Beast of Bodmin in Semi-Final 2, when Beast of Bodmin was thrown by the floor flipper, the spotlight appeared after Beast of Bodmin was flipped by the floor flipper when it should have appeared before Beast of Bodmin was flipped.
  • At the end of the opening titles recaps in some episodes, the ending theme stopped early.
  • On some robots' statistics boards, the word captain was spelt as Capn while most others had it spelt as Capt.
  • In the recap, shown in the Grand Final a clip of Suicidal Tendencies' battle against Forklift's Revenge was shown after its heat final against Mace 2.
  • On the statistics boards for Sumpthing and Ultor in Heat B and Heat D, their axes were referred to as "axe attack".
  • In both Heat B and The First World Championship, Behemoth's statistics board only listed twin axes as its weapon.
  • On Chaos 2's statistics board, both Ian and Richard Swann had their surname spelt as "Swan". This was corrected in The First World Championship.
  • Vaso Vassiliou had his name misspelt as Vaso Vassileiou on Cerberus' statistics board in The First World Championship (which was also made in Extreme 1). In addition, Alex Kaccoufa was present on the Team Members section of that episode despite him not appearing until Extreme 2.
  • In both semi-finals and the Grand Final, some of the robots' introduction clips are actually those from their heats. For example, the clip of 101's introduction prior to its fight against Scutter's Revenge is from its battle against Overkill in Heat J, which is notable as 101's logo isn't present on the robot.
  • During the fight between Big Brother and Grim Reaper in Heat D, a more basic version of the battle theme was used. Only percussion featured, while none of the primary instruments were present.
  • In Heat O, Facet's statistics board referred to its flipper as a pneumatic lifting arm.
  • In The First World Championship, Terror Australis' image on the team caption appears to be a cropped version of the pre-battle shot of it under the arena spotlight instead of a studio shot like almost all other competitors' team captions. This also happens in the International League Championship.
  • In Heat O, Diotoir's robot introduction clip before its first round battle with Sting 2 was reused prior to its first battles in both The First World Championship and International League Championships respectively. Moreover, the team's post-battle interview with Philippa Forrester, following their win over Depoppesaurus Rex in The First World Championship was repeated after the battle between the same two robots in the International League version.
  • In the Italian dub of the Grand Final, during the recap of every heat, the series is often referred to as the first series of Robot Wars. However, Series 3 was only the first to be aired in Italy. This error is corrected later in the episode.
  • Diotoir's name was misspelt as 'Diotior' on the battle board for the second round battles of Heat O. Stuart McDonald also mispronounced it ahead of its battle against Sting 2, perhaps because of this same mistake.
  • Despite Jonathan Pearce saying that one hundred and twenty-eight robots were in Series 3, the accompanying crawl actually listed one hundred and twenty-seven, as Excalibur was excluded from the list for completely unknown reasons.
  • Dominator's final score in the Pinball competition is confirmed as 160 points. However, during the robot's run and action replays, Jonathan Pearce fails to point out Dominator's contact with Sergeant Bash's 50 point tyre as part of the score tally.
  • By the end of Razer's run in the Pinball competition, Jonathan Pearce claims that the team had 'virtually completed' the whole arena of obstacles, despite the see-saw ramp and Shunt's 50 point tyre remaining unattempted, and the sphere which rolled into the pit caused by Sir Killalot counted as nothing.
  • In the Robotic Soccer final, the clips of the robots' introductions are those from their qualifiers.
  • In her opening monologue in the First World Championship, Philippa Forrester incorrectly referred to the Czech Republic as "Czechoslovakia". This error was not repeated elsewhere in the episode.

The Fourth Wars[]

  • In Heat A, Chaos 2's seeding in brackets was not shown on its statistics board, but was shown on the statistics board in Semi-Final 1 and the Grand Final.
  • Attila the Drum was misspelt as "Atilla the Drum" on the battle boards in Heat A but the correct spelling was present on its statistics board and team caption.
  • In Heat A, Medusa 2000's statistics board only listed its weapon as a rear rotating blade, forgetting it had a lifter as well.
  • Stuart McDonald simply introduced Firestorm 2 as "Firestorm", Darke Destroyer 2 as "Darke Destroyer", Aggrobot 2 as "Aggrobot" and Oblivion 2 as "Oblivion" and also introduced The Morgue as "Morgue" and The Predator as "Predator". He additionally introduced Warhog as "The Warhog".
  • In Heat B, during a review of Razer's previous series performances, a clip of it fighting Behemoth in the First World Championship final was shown as Jonathan Pearce described Razer's success in the International League Championship, and a clip of it fighting Diotoir in the International League Championship final was shown as he mentioned Razer's success in the First World Championship.
  • On Velocirippa's statistics board, the stats for its weapons says "Battering rams and & bumpers" in both the UK and US versions of Heat B.
  • In the Grand Champions dub of Heat B, no commentary was heard from Stefan Frank when the first battle board was displayed.
  • Robochicken's statistics board in Heat B did not mention its axe ('poultry-powered pecker') weapon.
  • In Heat B, Stuart McDonald mispronounced Reptirron's name as 'Rep-tie-ron' during its introduction. Stefan Frank also repeated this error numerous times throughout the Grand Champions dub of this heat.
  • The final score set by Hypno-Disc in its Pinball Warrior Tournament run in Heat B claims to be 135 points, when in reality it was 90 points.
  • Just before the Heat B Final took place, Julia Reed erroneously addressed Pussycat's driver, David Gribble, as "Robert".
  • In the first eliminator of Heat C, Jonathan Pearce mentioned Scar as having a srimech, despite Scar being invertible and clearly seen running inverted.
  • In both the UK and US versions of Heat C, Scar's statistics board claimed that it had three spinning discs although it only had one. Jonathan Pearce made the same claim as well.
  • Ming 2's statistics board said it had two flippers despite it only having one. The US version of the series corrected this mistake by correctly claiming it had one flipper.
  • Before the second eliminator of Heat C, Jonathan Pearce referred to Diotoir's weapon as an "air-powered spike", when it was actually a spring-powered lifting arm.
  • After the second eliminator of Heat C, Craig Charles referred to Bolt from the Blue as "A Bolt from the Blue".
  • During the battle between Firestorm 2 and Bolt from the Blue in Heat C, Jonathan Pearce said two seeds had already gone out when actually three seeds (King B3, Razer and Diotoir) had been eliminated up to this point.
  • Crusader 2's weakness in the Grand Champions version of Heat D was listed as 'No self-righting mechanism', despite the robot being invertible.
  • Mazakari was erroneously credited with Mortis' statistics during its introduction in Heat D. This error was corrected in the Grand Champions version of this heat.
  • Also in Mazakari's introduction, a slightly different background music was used. This was corrected in the US version.
  • In the post-battle interview following Mazakari's first round defeat in Heat D, Julia Reed comments that the robot was attacked between two axes at one point in the battle (in reference to Mortis and Iron-Awe). However, only Iron-Awe made an axe attack on Mazakari, and Mortis's axe failed to work while its lifting arm was locked onto Mazakari's frame.
  • Disc-O-Inferno's name was misspelt three times during its appearance in Heat E. It was spelt as Disco Inferno on the team caption when Julia Reed introduced them, Disc O Inferno on the battle boards for the UK version, and Disc-O Inferno on the battle boards for the Grand Champions dub. However, the correct spelling was present on the robot's statistics board and throughout its subsequent appearance in the Celebrity Special.
    • Somewhat ironically, Disc-O-Inferno's statistics for the Grand Champions Heat E dub listed its weapon as '2x Spinning Blades', instead of the single flywheel as correctly mentioned in its unaltered team introduction.
  • Destruct-A-Bubble's name was misspelt as Distruct-A-Bubble on the Sumo leaderboard. This mistake was also made in the Series 4 results in Robot Wars: The Ultimate Guide, the original Robot Wars Magazine and the Official Sticker Collection.
  • Jonathan Pearce said Dartford Grammar School is in Essex though it is actually in Kent.
  • When introducing Cronos in Heat D and reviewing its previous performance, Jonathan Pearce merely referred to Scutter's Revenge as "Scutter".
  • In Heat F, Berserk 2's axe was not mentioned at all on its statistics board in the UK version while in the Grand Champions dub, it was referred to as a 'Hammer'.
  • In Heat H, Killertron was said to have finished third in Series 2, when in fact it finished fourth. The third place play-off from that year in which it lost to Roadblock was even shown, but Jonathan Pearce mistakenly said that this was when Killertron was eliminated from the competition.
  • Before Killertron's battle against Wheely Big Cheese in Heat H, Richard Broad referred to Wheely Big Cheese as "The Big Cheese", which was the name of its predecessor.
  • Prior to its eliminator in Heat J, Bigger Brother's statistics board referred to its weapon as a 'Steel Spike', when it was actually equipped with a pneumatic spiked flipper. This error was repeated in the Tag Team Terror.
    • Also on Bigger Brother's statistics board in Heat J, its seeding in brackets was not shown.
  • At the end of the aforementioned battle, when it cuts to Joe and Ian Watts in the control pod and a shot of the arena through the control pod, Clawed Hopper is seen on its back, but Dead Metal, who was attacking it, is nowhere to be seen.
  • In the Grand Champions dub of Heat J, Stefan Frank once referred to Bigger Brother by its predecessor's name during the first eliminator. Jonathan Pearce also briefly misidentified the robot as such during its Pinball Warrior run in the original UK version of Heat G.
  • When Hammer & Tong was being attacked by Sergeant Bash, Sir Killalot and Shunt in its battle against Stinger in Heat J, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly said "Dead Metal in the middle" when Shunt was clearly in the middle and Dead Metal was not even present in the battle (Matilda was the other house robot in the battle).
  • In the Grand Champions dub of Heat K, Stefan Frank referred to Tiberius' weapon (a piercing spike) as an axe during its battle against Little Fly.
  • During the post-battle interview between Tiberius and Little Fly in Heat K, the former's team claimed their robot had become stuck on the arena wall angle grinders. But the fight footage shows Tiberius' wedge had become stuck under an arena wall spike, which was within the vicinity of the grinders.
  • In Heat K, Geoff Germaney's name is misspelt as Germainey on Sumpthing's statistics board.
    • This mistake is repeated in Extreme 1 and Series 5, before being corrected in Series 6. Strangely, Germaney was spelt correctly for Sumpthing's Series 3 debut.
  • In the Grand Champions dub of Heat L, Lee Summers had his name misspelt as Lee Summer on Knightmare's statistics board.
  • Stefan Frank referred to both Malcolm Summers and Lee Summers as Malcolm Summer and Lee Summer in the US version of Heat L.
  • In the post-battle interview with Julia Reed, following Reactor's second round defeat in Heat M, Daniel Orton comments on Dead Metal's inability of sawing through the robot's wooden wheels. However, during the fight itself Dead Metal was grinding away at the rear armour plating of Reactor, rather than its wheels.
  • At the start of the second round fight between The Steel Avenger and Sir Chromalot in Heat M, Jonathan Pearce claims that the former's axe had yet to come into play, despite that it had done in the first round melee, seen either swinging occasionally, or shown already in its launched position. Also, in the post-battle interview Craig Charles and The Pneumatic Fanatics compliment on the effectiveness of The Steel Avenger's axe, this states that some battle footage of the axe inflicting hits on Sir Chromalot remained unaired.
  • While introducing Scorpion in the Grand Champions dub of Heat M, Stefan Frank erroneously stated that it was armed with two chainsaws, in spite of it actually featuring one chainsaw, two front cutting discs and a rear spinning disc as weapons.
  • While interviewing Team Make Robotics prior to the Heat N Final, Julia Reed stated that Behemoth had reached the Heat Final stage in its previous two series. In actuality, it had previously reached the Semi-Finals of Series 2, as briefly clarified by Anthony Pritchard later on in the same interview.
  • Curiously, in the Grand Champions dub of Semi-Final 2, the clips used for Stinger and Spawn of Scutter's Round 1 introductions were mirrored.
  • In the Northern Annihilator, Suicidal Tendencies was announced as being seeded number thirty-one. It was in fact seeded number thirty-two, with Centurion being the real number thirty-one seed.
  • In the Grand Champions dub of the Northern Annihilator, Spikasaurus' name was consistently misspelt as Spikeasaurus. This also appears on Spikasaurus' page in Robot Wars: The Official Robot Guide.
  • Also in the Northern Annihilator, Stefan Frank stated in the Grand Champions dub that Killerhurtz was eliminated via a judges' decision. In actuality, it was eliminated as a result of becoming immobilised in the fourth round.
  • At the end of the US version of the Northern Annihilator, Stefan Frank said that Stuart Pearson, Andrea Whittle and Lee Ainscough were present for Team Spikasaurus, when Andrew Pearson was present instead of Lee.
  • The Grand Champions dub of the Southern Annihilator did not mention the judges' decision at the end of the second round; instead, Stefan Frank implied that Spawn of Scutter had been defeated via knockout.
  • Weld-Dor 2's seeding was not mentioned in its introduction in Heat K.
  • Throughout the original UK version of the series, Luke Jackman was simply referred to as 'Luke' on Spawn of Scutter's statistics boards.
  • Despite being seeded eleventh, Wild Thing was never announced as a seeded robot.
  • Kane Aston of Team Make Robotics had his name misspelt as "Kane Ashton" on Behemoth's statistics board. This was corrected in the US version of the series.
  • In Heat D, prior to the first eliminator, both Jonathan Pearce and Julia Reed incorrectly stated that Steg-O-Saw-Us' run in Series 3 ended at the Semi-Final stage when it actually ended in the Grand Final. Jonathan repeated this mistake in the battle between Chaos 2 and Steg 2 in Semi-Final 1. However, in both of 3 Stegs 2 Heaven's appearances, he used the correct statement.
  • During Hypno-Disc's Pinball Warrior run, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly said that Sgt. Bash was Shunt.
  • In the first melee of Heat G, Jonathan Pearce tells Kronic the Wedgehog to "get off the flipper" when Kronic was actually over the pit of oblivion at the time.
  • In Heat G, Owen Ramsey from Gravedigger had his name misspelt on the robot's statistics board in two different ways; "Owen Rumsey" in the UK version and "Owen Ramsay" in the US version.
  • In Heat G, Mark Chalmers was referred to as "Mark Chambers" on Warhog's statistics board. The US version of the heat corrected this error as well as correcting the size of Paul Stephenson's surname.
  • During the Grand Champions dub of Heat H, Stefan Frank erroneously refers to Dreadnaut XP1 as "Gravedigger" while recapping the previous heat.
  • In the Northern Annihilator final, after Dominator 2 had broken down, Jonathan Pearce said it was on the floor flipper, when it was actually on the pit.
  • At the end of second round of the Southern Annihilator, Jonathan Pearce said "It's all happening in front of us in the Northern Annihilator" when it was actually the Southern Annihilator. The Northern Annihilator was the previous episode.
  • In the recap shown in the Grand Final, Shadow of Napalm was erroneously called Son of Napalm by Jonathan Pearce.
  • During the Grand Champions dub of the Grand Final, Pussycat's strength on its statistics card reads "Always lands on it's feet" rather than "its feet".
    • Pussycat is also stylised as Pussy Cat throughout the dub, on statistics cards and battle boards.
  • In the recap shown in the Grand Final, during the clips from the melee between Centurion, Splinter and Small Torque in Heat I, the battle theme was played over the original ending theme as well.
  • Also in the recap shown in the Grand Final, during the recap of Heat M, The Steel Avenger's battle against Sir Chromalot was shown before Wild Thing's battle against Reactor when in the actual episode, it was the other way round.
  • The clip of Chaos 2 in its introduction prior to its battle against Steg 2 in Semi-Final 1 is mirrored; both robots are facing left, the floor flipper is shown on the left-hand side of the arena inside of the right, and Chaos 2's name on the flipper cover is in reverse. Steg 2's introduction clip and clips of both robots before the battle begins are shown correctly, however.
  • The clip of Wheely Big Cheese in its introduction prior to its battle against Tornado in Semi-Final 1 is mirrored.
  • In Pussycat's team introduction before its battle against Thermidor 2 in Semi-Final 1, Alan Gribble said they had taken out Milly-Ann Bug despite the fact they both defeated Reptirron together to qualify. Also, he mispronounced Reptirron as "Rep-til-e-tron".
  • Before the War of Independence battle between Mortis and Panic Attack, Mortis was on the left and Panic Attack was on the right, but seconds later, they had swapped places.
  • In the War of Independence final, the pit was shown to descend before frenZy was placed onto the floor flipper, only to be seen in the closed position as Frenzy was being thrown across the arena by the floor flipper.
  • In the second first-round battle of the Tag Team Terror, Stuart McDonald mistakenly stated X-Terminator 2 as originating from Hertford when it was actually from Hereford.
    • During the introductions for the same Round 1 battle, 101 was also introduced as coming from North Hampshire when it actually originated from Kettering, Northamptonshire.
  • In the Tag Team Terror playoff, a siren sound effect was not heard when the pit descended.
  • For unknown reasons, the Stinger team caption did not appear at the bottom of the screen when Julia Reed introduced them in the pits in Heat J or before their eliminator in the heat (which also happened in the US version of the heat) although it did when Julia interviewed them before their battle against Mousetrap in Semi-Final 2 and when she introduced them at the start of the Northern Annihilator.
  • In the Grand Champions dub of the Tag Team Terror, Grant Hornsby was erroneously addressed as the driver of King B3.
  • Craig Charles mistakenly referred to Bigger Brother as Big Brother 2 while interviewing the team following their loss to Bulldog Breed 2 in Heat J. It was also mistakenly listed as the name in the list of all the robots that competed in Series 4 at the start of the Grand Final. Similarly, Craig mistakenly referred to it as Bigger Brother 2 in the Tag Team Terror, although he then referred to it by its correct name. Bigger Brother was also listed as Bigger Brother 2 in the results for the Fourth Wars Trials and Tag Team Terror in Robot Wars: The Ultimate Guide.
  • In some battles in this series, the battle theme stopped early when it wasn't meant to.
  • During the battle between Razer and Milly-Ann Bug in Heat B, a clip of Pussycat fighting Robochicken was briefly shown.
  • The 'ShuntCam' graphics for Shunt's onboard camera were superimposed onto Dead Metal's camera while he was attacking Wheely Big Cheese during the first Eliminator of Heat H. They were also superimposed on Sir Killalot's camera in Heat K, when he carried Tiberius around the arena during its battle against Little Fly. These errors were fixed in the edited Grand Champions series in which the graphics were covered up and replaced with 'DeadCam' and 'K-Cam' respectively.
  • In the first Eliminator of Heat K, Jonathan Pearce referred to Tiberius' armour piercer as a pick axe.
  • In Heat L, Lee Summers from Team Knightmare was referred to as "Lee Summer" by Jonathan Pearce after reading its statistics. However, afterwards and in every other series Team Knightmare fought in, Jonathan referred to Lee as his correct name.

  • Throughout Heat O, a clip of the audience from Heat N - taken before the start of the Eliminator between X-Terminator 2, Judge Shred 2 and Millennium Bug - is shown in between clips of multiple battles from this episode. These include the opening Eliminator between Panic Attack, S.M.I.D.S.Y. and Overkill GTI, along with the second-round battle between S.M.I.D.S.Y. and Aggrobot 2.

  • In Dominator 2's introduction clip of the Northern Annihilator, Paul Tolliday quotes that the robot's plasma-nitrite coated titanium armour is impenetrable. However, this fact had been proved otherwise following the fight against Pussycat in Semi Final 1, when the opponent's toothed saw blade managed to dig through Dominator 2's bodyshell.
  • Despite Lee Ainscough being replaced by Andrew Pearson for Spikasaurus’ appearance in the Northern Annihilator, the Team Members section on Spikasaurus’ statistics board for that episode remained the same.
  • Tony Knapp was not present for Attila the Drum's appearance in the Southern Annihilator, with his place being taken by Helen Thorpe. However, the Team Members section on Attila the Drum's statistics board was not changed for that episode.
  • In the Southern Annihilator final, the tread on Onslaught's left-side drive wheel wears away, and peels off entirely while gaining traction. Jonathan Pearce mistakenly notes this as delayed damage caused by Razer during an earlier attack, when the claw clamped down on the aforementioned drive wheel. The actual footage however shows Razer grappling Onslaught's right-side wheel which remained unaffected.

For reasons unknown, this pattern is reversed in Heats F and M, also for the lower seeds in Heats H and I.

Mech+ (UK) streams[]

Though the Mech+ versions of Series 4 episodes are based on the original broadcast masters, a number of differences are present between these and the versions aired by other broadcasters:

  • In various episodes (e.g. Heats A, B and E), the captions used to introduce personalities including Craig Charles, Philippa Forrester, Julia Reed, competing teams and Judges are absent. Some of the transition effects for the former three's captions can still be heard regardless, examples of this being in the restored Heats A, B and I.
  • In some episodes (such as Heats C and E), Jonathan Pearce's audio for the end disclaimer/Robot Wars Club promo is absent.
  • Similarly, a few episodes (such as Heats E and F) do not include the humorous introductions originally spoken by Stuart McDonald.
  • In some episodes, the rotating gear transition animation is missing from certain sequences, instead being substituted for a simple wipe transition. One example occurs in the sequence showing Henry 2's elimination from Heat E, the wipe being used to bridge Craig Charles' announcement with Julia Reed's interview with the Moye family team.
  • The opening sequence for the Tag Team Terror uses the regular Robot Wars logo on the Mech+ version, in place of the customised variant seen in BBC airings.

Robot Wars Extreme[]

  • Ahead of the Challenge Belt battle between Behemoth and The Steel Avenger in Episode 1, The Steel Avenger was stated to have gone out in round 1 in both of the previous wars (Series 3 and 4), when in reality it went out in the second round and heat final respectively.
  • The footage of X-Terminator entering the arena in its Vengeance in Episode 2 was of the newer Series 5 model, not the older X-Terminator 2 model with a spike fitted that actually fought the battle.
  • Prior to the Vengeance battle between X-Terminator and Panic Attack, Jonathan Pearce said that Panic Attack had reached the semi-final stage of the UK Championships on two previous occasions when it had actually made it to that stage in The Second Wars, The Third Wars and The Fourth Wars. However, it is true that Panic Attack fell at the semi-final stage on two occasions.
    • Unusually, no House Robot statistics boards were shown before the aforementioned battle, although Dead Metal and Sir Killalot were clearly present in their CPZs when the battle started. It was also the only ever time after Series 4 where the House Robots were not announced before a battle.
  • Curiously, the statistics listed for the Extreme 1 version of MaxiMill were those of the Dutch Series 1 version.
  • In the replay of Firestorm and Panic Attack's Series 3 battle before their All-Stars battle in Episode 3, Jonathan Pearce mistakenly refers to Alex Mordue as Graham Bone.
  • In Episode 3, the same clip of Panic Attack entering the arena was used for both its All-Stars battle against Firestorm 3 and the International Inferno.
  • Before the All-Stars battle between Razer and Gemini, Jonathan Pearce said Chaos 2, Wheely Big Cheese and Hypno-Disc had already gone through to the quarter-finals. He was right about Chaos 2 and Wheely Big Cheese, but he was wrong about Hypno-Disc as Hypno-Disc lost to Behemoth in the first round.
  • Also before the battle between Razer and Gemini, Shunt was stated as being present in the fight for the House Robots. In reality, it was Sir Killalot who partnered Matilda in the arena instead.
  • At two points during the first Tag Team Terror semi-final, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly referred to Suicidal Tendencies as its teammate, Steel Avenger.
  • King B Powerworks was constantly referred to as King B3 and was only referred to by its proper name a few times. It was referred to by its proper name in Series 5.
  • The picture of Matilda on the House Robot statistics board in Episode 10 was from the American series instead of the UK series.
  • After Tornado got flipped by the floor flipper in the Mayhem in Episode 10, Jonathan Pearce said "and away they go, on the flipper floor" instead of "floor flipper".
  • After the All-Stars quarter-final fight between Pussycat and Tornado (and Sir Killalot's unfortunate incident), Craig Charles says that he has never seen Sir Killalot catch fire before. Sir Killalot had actually caught fire three times before - once in Series 2 (it was Sgt. Bash's fault) and twice in Series 3, when he got too close to the flame pit in Heat G and when Sgt. Bash set him on fire in Oblivion 2's Pinball run.
  • The stats for Sir Killalot in the Challenge Belt battle between Tornado and Wild Thing in Episode 11 were shown as those from the American series, Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors.

  • Danny King was referred to as "Danny Hill" on 3 Stegs 2 Heaven's statistics board.
  • Stuart McDonald simply introduced Arnold A. Terminegger as "Arnold Terminegger" and Aggrobot 3 as “Aggrobot” and also mispronounced Flensburger Power as Flensburg Power.
  • Before the Tag Team Terror battle in Episode 8, Steve Merrill from Sir Chromalot said "We're going to do damage to Steel Lego and Suicidal Meccano." However, when Julia Reed interviewed the Steel Avenger and Suicidal Tendencies teams, she said he called them Steel Meccano and Suicidal Lego.
  • Before the first round of the first Annihilator, Jonathan Pearce said that Marlon Pritchard and Paul Lewis were present for Team X-Terminator, when Simon Baldwin was there instead of the latter.
  • During the second Annihilator, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly refers to Disc-O-Inferno as Hypno-Disc.
  • During the All-Stars semi final clash between Chaos 2 and Tornado, Jonathan Pearce says "could this be a first ever defeat for Chaos 2?" when it had previously been defeated twice in the First World Championship and Northern Annihilator.
  • During The Second World Championship, Jonathan Pearce kept stating that events that would happen later in the episode happened in The First World Championship; he claimed that Chaos 2 went out in round 1, when it reached the quarter-finals, that Diotoir fell in round 1, when it reached the semi-finals, that Firestorm fell in round 1, when it never actually competed, and that Tornado reached the semi-final when it hadn't even entered Robot Wars at the time.
  • Jonathan Pearce stated that Razer was the quickest robot in its heat in The Second World Championship, despite The Revolutionist being 4mph faster.
  • Despite adding a self-righting mechanism for this series, Cerberus' weakness was listed as "No self-righting mechanism".
  • Philipper's statistics board misspelt the robot as Philliper.
  • In the semi-final battle between Razer and Tornado in The Second World Championship, Jonathan Pearce said that Tornado were struggling to get their spinning drum into play, when they had the scoop on for the battle.
  • After Marlon Pritchard's post-battle interview with Craig Charles following X-Terminator's defeat in Round 2 of the first Annihilator, a shot of X-Terminator after being thrown by the floor flipper showed it in the arena, but not caught in the flipper's mechanism.
  • The clip used for the third round of the first Annihilator when Hypno-Disc entered the arena is in fact taken from the second round. X-Terminator, which was eliminated in that round, is visible in a wide shot.
  • Jonathan Pearce frequently credited Plunderbird 5 as having tracks, even though it ran on wheels and was the only Plunderbird model not to have tracks. He would make the same claim again in Series 5.
  • In Episode 11, in the second Tag Team Terror semi-final, when the House Robots' statistics boards were being shown, Sir Killalot was seen in the bottom left of the screen, but Matilda and Shunt were the actual house robots in the battle. Also, the wrong teams are in the control pods, these being the Wild Thing and Tornado teams from the Challenge Belt battle, which was the previous battle in that episode.
  • During the post-battle interview after Chaos 2 beat X-Terminator in the first round of the All-Stars, Craig Charles said to George Francis that he'd never seen Chaos 2 lose a battle, even though the two-time UK champion was defeated by Razer in The First World Championship and was beaten in the first round of the Northern Annihilator - both defeats occurring during Craig's tenure.
  • The music usually played over the House Robots' statistics boards was also played over the competitors' statistics boards prior to the Tag Team Terror battle in Episode 2.
  • Just before the start of the Middleweight Championship battle in the same episode, the 'Roboteers, stand by' announcement was heard twice - once in a close-up of the participating teams, and again just as Matilda's statistics board was shown.
    • Also prior to the Middleweight Championship battle, no background music was played as the House Robots' statistics boards were being shown.
  • In the Mayhem in Episode 5, Jonathan Pearce referred to Thermidor 2's flipper as a lifter.
  • In Episode 6, during the first round Tag Team Terror battle involving Thermidor 2, Cerberus, S.M.I.D.S.Y. and Sumpthing, Jonathan Pearce said that Thermidor 2 and S.M.I.D.S.Y. were on the Floor Flipper, when the two robots in question were over the pit and Drop Zone square respectively.
    • Additionally, Thermidor 2 was simply referred to as 'Thermidor' on the battle board shown immediately before and after the aforementioned battle. However, its full name was still shown on the battle board seen at the start of Episode 6.
  • During the robots' introductions for the Mayhem in Episode 13, Comengetorix was first to appear in the arena, and then Disc-O-Inferno entered the arena with Velocirippa still in the door way. However, after Disc-O-Inferno entered the arena, it then cut to Velocirippa in the arena and therefore being the first robot introduced in the battle and the first robot in the battle to have its statistics board displayed.
    • Also in the introductions for the Mayhem, the shot of Comengetorix where its statistics board is displayed is taken from its Challenge Belt battle against Tornado in Episode 9. A notable thing about this is that Comengetorix's lifting arm is raised slightly.
  • Velocirippa's statistics board in this series listed its weapon as "Spinning Discs" despite it only having one cutting disc. Similarly, its statistics board in Series 5 listed its weapon as "Spikes and Rotating Discs", once again despite the fact it only had one cutting disc.
  • Before and after the Wild Card Warrior battle between Panic Attack and Axe-Awe in episode 13, the latter's team were referred to as newcomers, as opposed to veterans since they competed in Series 4 with Iron-Awe.
  • In Episode 13, Craig Charles introduced the Featherweight Championship fight between RC Warrior and Beef-Cake as a Lightweight battle.
  • In the Tag Team Terror final, the clips of the four robots entering the arena are actually those from different episodes - Diotoir's clip is from its All-Stars battle against Wheely Big Cheese in Episode 1, Pussycat's clip is from its Mayhem against S.M.I.D.S.Y. and Sumpthing in Episode 1 and All-Stars battle against Stinger in Episode 8 respectively, The Steel Avenger's clip is from its Challenge Belt battle against Behemoth in Episode 1 and Suicidal Tendencies' clip is from its battle against Rick in Heat K of Series 5.
  • When interviewing the Comengetorix and Spawn Again teams before their Tag Team Terror battle in Episode 5, Julia Reed incorrectly introduced Team Scutterbots' new machine by the robot that preceded it - Spawn of Scutter.
  • During Sumpthing's Mayhem introduction, the clip of it during the introduction was from during the battle, rather than entering the arena or sitting stationary in the arena before the battle started as what would generally be used.
  • During the Mayhem between Pussycat, Sumpthing and S.M.I.D.S.Y., Jonathan Pearce referred to Alan Gribble as the driver of Pussycat, when in reality, David Gribble was.
  • In the same battle, when S.M.I.D.S.Y. pressed the pit button, it fell over, but then on another screenshot, the pit button was back up on the wall where it was originally.
  • Although listed as weighing 96kg during this series, 3 Stegs 2 Heaven actually weighed a mere 72kg.
  • Splinter's statistics board listed its weapons as "Pneumatic axe and grabbing arm" when it actually had two grabbing arms. Its statistics board in Series 5 corrected this by referring to its weapons as "Grabbing arms and axe".
  • In the clips for some Tag Team Terror battles, a robot's teammate would be seen coming into their CPZ and remaining there but in some clips of them entering the arena, they would then be shown in the arena afterwards rather than remaining in their CPZ.
  • The clip of Mega Morg entering the arena for its Vengeance against Plunderbird 5 is taken from its previous Vengeance against Ming 3. The other notable thing is that in its Vengeance against Ming 3, Mega Morg did not have its ninja sheep, but did have it in its Vengeance against Plunderbird 5.
  • In the preview for the main event of Episode 8, shown at the end of Episode 7, the Series 5 version of Pussycat is shown entering the arena but in the actual episode, the Extreme 1 version of the robot appeared.
  • In the rundown of battles shown at the start of Episode 8, King B Powerworks was credited as "King B3".
  • Sir Chromalot's statistics in Episode 8 were different to its statistics board from Episode 6.
  • Ed Hoppitt had his name misspelt as Ed Hoppit on Suicidal Tendencies' statistics board. Also, despite his name being present on the Team Members section on the robot's statistics board, he was not actually present for the Suicidal Tendencies team in Extreme 1, with Martin Jeffery being present instead. This error was reversed for Suicidal Tendencies' appearance in Series 5.
  • In Episode 8, Fighting Torque's image on its statistics board was badly cropped.
  • In the Flipper Frenzy, Jonathan Pearce said Chaos 2 had never been beaten although it previously lost to Razer in the quarter-finals of the First World Championship and went out in the first round of the Fourth Wars Northern Annihilator.
  • Towards the end of the Flipper Frenzy fight, Matilda overturned Chaos 2 with her flywheel, just as Thermidor 2 fired its flipper at thin air in close proximity of the latter's direction. This moment leads to Jonathan Pearce misinterpreting that a competiting robot had finally made a proper attack on another, while the whole action before saw all four competitors ignoring each other, and taking on the House Robots.
  • Thermidor 2 was simply referred to as 'Thermidor' on the battle board shown in the rundown of battles at the start of Episode 15.
  • In some battles, notably in Episodes 2, 6, 8, 10 and 12, the same clip of Refbot coming in to count out a robot is used. In the clip, Refbot moves in to count out a robot and then it cuts to his counter going from 0 to 3 before cutting to a scene in the battle and then cutting back to him with his counter going from 8 to 10. It is unclear which battle the clip is actually taken from.
  • In all of Thermidor 2's appearances, its official image on its statistics board had one of its antennas cut off. This also happened in its Series 5 heat, albeit with the image mirrored.
  • In the second Tag Team Terror semi-final, the robots were not introduced in their corresponding teams. The order they were introduced were - Diotoir, Spawn Again, Pussycat and Comengetorix rather than Diotoir and Pussycat and Comengetorix and Spawn Again.
  • In the last three battles in Episode 13, when the House Robots' statistics boards were displayed, the sound effects were out of sync when they appeared.
  • At one point during the third round of the Second Annihilator, Jonathan Pearce erroneously refers to Disc-O-Inferno as Hypno-Disc.
  • In the introductions before the Antweight Melee, Legion's team erroneously stated that Legion was the first clusterbot to appear in Robot Wars. While it was the first non-heavyweight clusterbot to appear in any version of the show, Legion was in fact the second clusterbot to appear, with Gemini being the first clusterbot to appear.
  • During the semi-finals of the All-Stars, the clips used of the four robots entering the arena are actually those from the quarter-finals. As a result, Firestorm is shown entering with polka-dot fur.
  • Despite the UK Series generally using kilograms to measure weight, Jonathan Pearce's introduction for Panzer Mk 2 in The Second World Championship uses the pound measurement (commonly used in Extreme Warriors and the Nickelodeon series) when referring to the robot's lifting capacity (300lbs, or approximately 136kg).

The Fifth Wars[]

  • Upon entering the arena in Heat A, Stuart McDonald introduced Storm Force as "Storm". It was also referred to as that name in the Series 5 results in Robot Wars: The Ultimate Guide and the original Robot Wars Magazine.
  • In Heat A, The Tartan Terror was introduced as hailing from "Fishcross, Alloa, Fife in Scotland", when Fishcross and Alloa are actually part of Clackmannanshire and not Fife.
  • In the Italian dub of Heat A, T-Bone's John Findlay is misspelt as "Jhon" on their statistics board.
    • Jacky Willoughby of The Steel Avenger and Mik Reed of S.M.I.D.S.Y. are also misspelt as "Jack" and "Mike" respectively.
  • 8645T's team introduction in Heat A provided a continuity error, as the team directly named their first round opponent T-Bone, but the introduction was not used until 8645T's second round fight with S.M.I.D.S.Y..
  • In Heat A, none of the winning teams were interviewed by Craig Charles after their Eliminators as was seen in every heat afterwards. It is possible that these interviews were cut for time due to the House Robot introductions and the rematch held during the Heat Final.
  • Juggernot 2's statistics board in Heat B claimed it was armed with an axe. However, only Juggernot 2's predecessor, superheavyweight entry Juggernot 1, featured an axe weapon.
    • Also on Juggernot 2's statistics board, its official image was sideways.
  • In Heat B, Wowot's official image was terribly cropped on its statistics board.
  • In Heat B, Jonathan Pearce referred to the third eliminator as the third round of the Annihilator.
  • In Heat B, the "Roboteers, stand by" announcement was made after the House Robot statboards were shown instead of beforehand.
  • In Heat C, the introductions for Stinger, Plunderbird 5 and MouseTrap in their eliminators were taken from Robot Wars Extreme: Series 1. Stinger's intro came from its All-Stars battle against Pussycat, Plunderbird 5's intro from its Vengeance battles and MouseTrap's intro from its Mayhem qualifier, which is notable as its trap mechanism is seen firing before its Extreme 1 Mayhem, and becoming stuck in the activated position. Also, Sir Killalot is visible behind MouseTrap in the clip when in MouseTrap's battle against Shredder, Sgt. Bash and Shunt were the House Robots present.
  • In MouseTrap's team introduction in Heat C, when the team runs a piece of paper over MouseTrap's weapon, the paper switches from a ripped sheet to an intact sheet between shots.
  • In Heat C, Shredder's official image was terribly cropped on its statistics board. It also said its weapon was a rotating disc when it had actually two rotating discs and team member Christopher Organ had his name misspelt as "Christopher Orga".
  • S3 was continually referred to as a newcomer, despite its team having fought in two previous series with Sting; Philippa Forrester claimed they were "rookies", Craig Charles called them "the new kids on the block" and S3 was even nominated for the Most Promising Newcomer Award at the end of the series. Vincent Blood from Razer made the same mistake on the Razer DVD.
  • S3's statistics board in this series mistakenly displayed its weight as 100kg when it was actually 90kg. This is proven in Series 6, when Ian Pritchard stated that the robot was "another 8kg heavier than in Series 5". As S3 weighed 98kg in Series 6, the robot having a weight of 100kg in Series 5 would be impossible, as this would make the Series 6 incarnation 2kg lighter.
    • The same statistics board also claimed that S3 was equipped with "Snatching Jaws" in addition to its flywheel, a weapon which it never featured.
    • On S3's statistics board in Heat C, David Barker's name was spelt as "DaviD Barker". This was corrected in Semi-Final 1.
  • In the first eliminator of Heat C, S3 enters the arena first, with Plunderbird 5 clearly visible in the left entry gate, but when Plunderbird 5 is shown entering the arena, it comes through the right entry gate and is the first competitor to enter the arena.
  • In Heat C, Stuart McDonald introduced Shredder as being from "Leamington-on-Spa" rather than Leamington Spa.
  • Several times during the fight between S3 and MouseTrap in Heat C, Jonathan Pearce claimed that breaking MouseTrap's blue spring would break the weapon, when the spring was actually just a decoration, and in fact, the weapon was shown firing several times after the spring broke.
  • While previewing the newcomers in Heat D, Jonathan Pearce erroneously refers to Bee-Capitator as "Bee-Captivator".
  • Ahead of Heat D's first eliminator, Philippa Forrester said that Gemini was the only clusterbot to have appeared on Robot Wars, ignoring the fact that Legion had appeared in the Extreme 1 Antweight Melee.
  • In the third eliminator of Heat D, Bot Out of Hell's weakness on its statistics board was listed as "No Scrimech", which is the incorrect spelling. The correct spelling is srimech.
    • Also, Bot Out of Hell's official image was mirrored.
  • In Heat D, Jonathan Pearce said that Ruf Ruf Dougal's head was made from a crash helmet when it was actually made from two crash helmets.
  • While interviewing the Reactor 2 team before their second round battle against Gemini in Heat D, Philippa Forrester asked the team "How are you feeling about Reactor?" when she meant to say Gemini, though she corrected herself.
  • When Jonathan Pearce was reading through the Round 1 line-up for Heat E, he did not read through it sequentially and also failed to mention Trouble 'n' Strife, the robot who Wild Thing was up against in the first round.
  • In Heat E, Philippa Forrester said there was "a staggering five veterans in Heat 5" when there were actually six as Warhog had appeared in the previous series as well. However, Philippa might have only been referring to the other five robots that had more experience and appeared in more series than it.
  • In Napalm 2's introduction in Heat E, Philippa Forrester stated that the team were competing with 'pretty much the same robot that they had last year'. However, this is incorrect, as Napalm did not compete in Series 4, with Dartford Girls Grammar instead competing with Shadow of Napalm. Philippa said the same about Velocirippa, saying it looked the same despite it replacing its static spikes with a cutting disc and changing its colour from green to light blue.
  • On Velocirippa's statistics board in Heat E of Series 5, its official image was mirrored and its weakness was said to be "No Srimech" when it had a rollover design.
  • In Heat E, Stuart McDonald simply introduced Napalm 2 as Napalm.
  • When Napalm 2 was being introduced in the heat, Jonathan Pearce mentioned that it was their fourth attempt at Robot Wars, when it was actually their fifth.
  • Strangely, Thermidor 2's weakness on its statistics board in Heat E was listed as "Experienced Competitors", a statement that would usually be considered a strength, instead of "Fragile Shell" as it had been during the first series of Robot Wars Extreme.
  • Also on Thermidor 2's statistics board in Heat E, its official image was mirrored and Christopher Snowling was listed as "Christopher Snowl".
  • During Heat F, Jonathan Pearce and Stuart McDonald said that Corkscrew was from "Selkirk, Edinburgh", despite Selkirk being in the Scottish Borders and not Edinburgh. This mistake would be corrected in subsequent series.
  • The statistics board images for each competitor in Heat H were slightly larger than normal and were partially covered by the text.
  • Jonathan Pearce claimed at the start of Heat J that Panic Attack won Series 3, when it actually won the series before, Series 2. However, he made the correct claim later in the episode.
  • In Heat J, Stuart McDonald introduced Tiberius 2 as Tiberus 2.
  • After speaking to the 13 Black team in Heat F, Craig Charles mistakenly called them Black 13.
  • When the "Most Promising Newcomer" Award nominations were listed, Crushtacean was misspelt as Crushtacen.
  • Before the second round match between Chaos 2 and The Steel Avenger in Heat A, Team Chaos was mentioned as reaching the grand final of Series 2, though they actually reached the grand final in Series 1 and lost in the heat final in Series 2.
  • During the match between Widow's Revenge and Sumpthing in Heat K, Jonathan Pearce said that Gillie Blood was "Vinnie's missus", when she was actually Vincent Blood's sister and Ian Lewis' fiancée.
  • In Heat K, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly said Axe-C-Dent's spinning axe was horizontal.
  • Dome's strength on its statistics board was listed as "previous warzone experience", despite the team being newcomers to Robot Wars.
  • At two points in Heat J, Philippa Forrester referred to Mini Morg as its predecessor, Mega Morg.
  • In the recap, shown in the Grand Final, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly claimed that Chaos 2 defeated The Tartan Terror in Round 1 of Heat A, despite The Tartan Terror's actual opponent, The Steel Avenger being visible in the clip. Chaos 2 defeated Storm Force in Round 1 of Heat A.
  • Before their battle against Derek in Heat F, Jonathan Pearce said that Elliot Smart was amongst the Dominator 2 team members, when in reality, Paul Tolliday was present instead. This was corrected before their battle between King B Powerworks when Jonathan said Paul Tolliday, Peter Halloway and Chris Hall were present.
  • In Semi-Final 2, Wheely Big Cheese's official image on its statistics board was mirrored.
  • In Semi-Final 2, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly states that Team Firestorm had been with Robot Wars since the First Wars when they actually debuted in Series 2.
  • During its battle against Kliptonite in Heat J, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly states that Major Tom lost in the first round of the Fourth Wars, when it actually lost in the second round against 101.
  • Sir Chromalot was misspelt as "Sir Chromolot" on the team's work bench.
  • On Crushtacean's statistics board in Heat H, its official image was mirrored.
  • Twister's drill weapon was referred to as another set of spikes by Jonathan Pearce.
  • In both semi-finals and the heat final of Heat L, no background music was played as the competitor robots entered the arena and when it went to their team introductions before the semi-finals.
  • In the Heat L Final, there was no beeping noises when Refbot's counter reached the last three seconds (8, 9 and 10).
  • A strange piece of editing happened in the Heat B Final. After Bulldog Breed 3 was pitted by Hypno-Disc, it was then shown on top of the pit which was closed and was next to Refbot.
  • Before the line-up for the Heat F Final came up, the skull and crossbones symbol disappeared from X-Terminator's name.
  • In Heat F, Philippa Forrester said 13 Black was a newcomer despite it appearing in Series 2 as Limpet.
  • In Heat I, V.I.P.E.R. 01's official photo on its statistics board does not feature its rear cutting disc or the signatures on top of the robot.
  • In Heat J, Kat 3's official image on its statistics board was poorly cropped.
  • In Heat J, Jonathan Pearce said Mini Morg had two rear axes when it only had one.
  • Before the first eliminator and heat final of Heat G, a shot of the audience overlooking the arena was briefly shown.
  • Unusually, there was no clip of Craig Charles mentioning Evolution's defeat and Spawn Again going through and instead went straight to Craig interviewing Alistair Hare of the Evolution team.
  • Suicidal Tendencies' introduction for its battle against Rick in Heat K was also used for the Extreme 1 Tag Team Terror final. Dead Metal is visible when Suicidal Tendencies appears in the arena, but Dead Metal did not appear in the Extreme 1 Tag Team Terror final.
  • Ioana Parkinson was misidentified as Rebecca Reaston-Brown by both Jonathan Pearce and Terrorhurtz's statistics board in Terrorhurtz's battle against Ming 3 in Heat L. Rebecca's last appearance was in Heat I of Series 4.
  • Before the second round fight between Behemoth and Crushtacean in Heat H, Sir Killalot was stated as being present in the fight for the House Robots. In reality, it was Sergeant Bash who partnered Matilda in the arena instead.
  • At the start of Heat F, Jonathan Pearce said Immortalis was a new machine when its team actually appeared in Series 2 and 3 with Piece De Resistance and Death Warmed Up respectively. He corrected this during Immortalis' battle against X-Terminator.
  • The clip of X-Terminator's introduction for its battle against Immortalis in Heat F was taken from its Extreme 1 Mayhem against Panzer Wraith and Cataclysmic Variabot.
  • During the recap, shown in the Grand Final, Firestorm 3's battle against Pussycat in Semi-Final 2 was shown before its Losers' Melee against Panic Attack and Wheely Big Cheese.
  • In the Grand Final, just before the start of the Robot Wars Awards segment, Jonathan Pearce referred to 'our robots' roll of honour', presumably indicating a list of all the robots seen in Series 5 like the one seen in Series 3 and 4 was originally going to be featured in the Grand Final again, but none was used.

The Sixth Wars[]

  • At the beginning of Heat A, Craig Charles says that Razer crushed Chaos 2's reign in the last series even though they did not fight each other that series, presumably referring more broadly to the fact Chaos 2 lost its title that year.
  • Jonathan Pearce said Mr. Psycho weighed 600kg and Growler weighed 420kg when they actually weighed 750kg and 375kg respectively. Despite this, his claim that they weighed 'over one thousand kilos between them' was still accurate.
  • W.A.S.P.'s official photo on its statistics board had its top wheel and rear spike missing.
  • In Heat A, Jonathan Pearce kept stating that Cyrax was purple when it was clearly blue. Its predecessor, Wild Willy, was purple. Regardless of this, Team Razer correctly stated that Cyrax was blue.
  • Cyrax's weakness on its statistics board in Heat A was listed as "Inexperienced competitors" even though it appeared in Series 3 as Wild Willy.
  • Cyrax's official image on its statistics board had the spike from its axe cut off.
  • On Weld-Dor 3's statistics board, Capt was misspelt as "Captt".
  • In both second round battles and the heat final of Heat A of Series 6, no background music was played as the competitor robots entered the arena.
  • When Razer and Cyrax entered the arena for their Round 2 battle in Heat A, Growler and Mr. Psycho were visible in the arena only to be seen coming in through the entry gate a few shots later, in footage reused from their introduction.
  • In Heat A, when Philippa Forrester's Damage Cam was used, there was no beeping noise.
  • Before the Heat A final, the recap of the heat's battles was omitted. It is likely it was cut for time due to the House Robot introductions at the beginning of the episode.
  • In Heat B, Barbaric Response's weakness on its statistics board was listed as "Exposed wheels", despite having armour around the wheels.
  • Jack Eastham from the Cedric Slammer team was incorrectly referred to as "Jack Barber" on the robot's statistics board and by Jonathan Pearce in Heat B. Issue 1 of Robot Wars: The Official Magazine referred to Jack Eastham as his correct name.
  • In the first Round 1 battle of Heat B, Jonathan Pearce stated that Barbaric Response had been pinned against an angle grinder, when it had actually been pushed into the pit release button by Spirit of Scorpion.
  • Mega Hurts 2's statistics board in Heat B referred to its weapons as "flipper, axe and spikes" despite it actually having two axes.
  • In Firestorm 4's first round melee in Heat B, Jonathan Pearce said only Razer beat it in Series 5, but Firestorm 3 actually lost to Hypno-Disc in the Series 5 semi-finals and then won the Losers' Melee. It was after winning the Losers' Melee and beating Pussycat that Firestorm 3 lost to Razer.
  • Jonathan Pearce claimed that the second Round 1 battle of Heat B marked the first occasion where both of the qualifying robots (Firestorm 4 and Mega Hurts 2) ended up in the pit. However, this had also happened in Heat H of Series 4, in which Wheely Big Cheese and Wheelosaurus progressed despite being pitted along with the loser Prizephita MK 2.
  • On Destructosaur's statistics board in Heat C, Riccardo De Felix was listed as "Riccardo De Felici". This is also made in Issue 2 of Robot Wars: The Official Magazine.
  • After the first melee in Heat C, Iron-Awe 2 was listed as "Iron-Awe" on the battle board.
  • When introducing Shredder in its first round melee in Heat D, Jonathan Pearce claimed it had "beaten good robots like MouseTrap in the past", when not only did Shredder lose to MouseTrap, but the robot and the team had not won a battle at that point. He later corrected himself, mentioning that Shredder was knocked out by MouseTrap in Series 5 whilst commentating on the Round 2 match against The Alien and the clip of Shredder driving into the pit was shown during Shredder's post-battle interview.
  • In S3's first round melee in Heat D, Jonathan Pearce said only Razer beat it in Series 5, but S3 actually lost to Bigger Brother in the Series 5 semi-finals and then won the Losers' Melee. It was after winning the Losers' Melee that S3 lost to Razer as Razer then beat Bigger Brother to win Series 5.
  • When introducing Wild Thing in Heat E, Jonathan Pearce referred to the Adams Family as having been a Semi-Finalist on two occasions, when it actually reached that stage in the previous three series. This was corrected in Semi-Final 1.
  • During the second melee of Heat E, Jonathan Pearce said that Wild Thing made it to the semi-final of its heat in Series 5 when it didn't lose in its heat that series. He previously said before the battle that Wild Thing had made it to the semi-finals.
  • Craig Charles erroneously referred to Stinger as Stinger 3 following its Heat F final against 13 Black.
  • Terror-Bull was twice labelled as a new robot in Heat G, its previous appearance in Series 4 being completely ignored.
  • An editing error in the first battle of Heat G showed Dead Metal in two different CPZs.
  • Despite its new design for this series having no srimech, Panic Attack's weakness on its statistics board was listed as "Slow self-righting". Jonathan Pearce made this same claim as well.
  • Panic Attack's official image on its statistics board had the end part of its side skirt cut off.
  • Hypno-Disc's seeding was not stated when it entered the arena.
  • 4x4's official image on its statistics board had one of its pincers partially cut off.
  • Before the first round melee between Hypno-Disc, Granny's Revenge 2, 4x4 and Barber-Ous 2 in Heat K, Sergeant Bash and Sir Killalot were briefly shown occupying the same CPZ due to an editing error.
    • Growler was also briefly shown in the background during Sergeant Bash's introduction for that battle, only for Sergeant Bash to occupy his CPZ during Sir Killalot's introduction. It then immediately cut to Barber-Ous 2 occupying Sergeant Bash's CPZ just before 'activate' was called.
  • Razer's statistics board in Heat A and Semi-Final 1 incorrectly referred to the vertical crusher as a 'spike'. It was more accurately referred to as a hydraulic piercer in the Grand Final.
  • On Stinger's statistics board in Heat F, its official image was mirrored.
  • In the second round battle between Dominator 2 and S.M.I.D.S.Y. in Heat J, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly said "just see there, Chris Hall" when the camera actually showed Paul Tolliday at the controls. He repeats this mistake in the match between Dominator 2 and Bigger Brother in Semi-Final 2 by saying "Chris Hall on the right hand side there at the controls" and again before its match against Tornado in the same episode.
  • In Heat J, during the replay of Growler's smash into Dominator 2 and S.M.I.D.S.Y., the background music changed when it wasn't supposed to.
  • After the battle between S3 and Dantomkia in Semi-Final 1, the battle board showed it came before the battle between Firestorm 4 and 13 Black when it was the other way round. This was also made in the Sixth Wars League Table in the first issue of the second edition of the Robot Wars Magazine.
  • Craig Charles misquoted Chaos 2 as the fourth seed while interviewing the Dantomkia team after their loss to Razer in Semi-Final 1.
  • In Semi-Final 2, an editing error during the Losers' Melee showed Mr Psycho and Sir Killalot in the same CPZ.
  • During the match between Spawn Again and Terrorhurtz in Semi-Final 2, the camera cuts from Dead Metal bringing his saw onto the front of Spawn Again to him slicing into the top-right side of the robot.
  • Whenever it appeared, Stuart McDonald would incorrectly pronounce Dantomkia as 'Dan-toma-ky-a'. However, he would pronounce it correctly in Extreme 2 and Series 7.
  • During the battle between Razer and Cyrax in Heat A, Jonathan Pearce said Razer were World Champions in 2000 and 2001. Although he was correct about 2001, as that was the year when The Second World Championship was filmed, his earlier statement is incorrect, as The First World Championship was actually filmed in 1999. The only trophy Razer won in 2000 was the Fourth Wars Southern Annihilator.

  • Terror-Bull's statistics board in Heat G listed its weapon as spiked horns, not mentioning its lifter.

    • Also on Inshredable's statistics board, part of the robot was missing from its picture.
  • Before both second round battles and the heat final of Heat G, the entrance music was played during the team's interviews.
  • When talking about Hot Pants in Heat H, Jonathan Pearce said that the team's previous entry Panda Monium, was defeated by Napalm in Series 3, when this actually occurred in Series 2.
  • Tiberius 3 was stated to have a srimech despite it not being added until Extreme Series 2.
  • After the Heat H Final, Craig Charles said Spawn Again was through to the heat semi-finals when he meant to say the series semi-finals. However, when interviewing the team later on, he did ask the team if they could repair their robot in time for the semis, meaning the series semi-finals.
  • In the battle between Bigger Brother and Terrorhurtz in Semi-Final 2, Shunt was in the top-right CPZ during his introduction but the very next shot showed Growler taking his place in the introduction for Sgt. Bash, who was in the top-left CPZ. The shot after that showed Shunt in the top-left CPZ and Sgt. Bash in the top-right CPZ.
  • When Comengetorix's lifting arm snapped in half in its second round clash with Hydra in Heat J, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly stated that Comengetorix's axe mechanism had broken instead.

  • In the introduction of Heat I, Craig Charles mentioned that 13 Black and S3 were "new bots on the block", despite them both having previously competed in Series 5 and the 13 Black team previously competed in Series 2 with Limpet while the S3 team competed in Series 2-3 with Sting.
  • In Heat I, R.O.C.S. had its name spelt as "R.O.C.S", missing out a full stop at the end.
    • R.O.C.S.' statistics board also referred to Jackie Sievers as "Jac Sievers".
  • During the second melee in Heat I, Jonathan Pearce said that Team Hurtz had fallen in the heat on three previous occasions. However, Killerhurtz failed to make it out of its heat in Series 2, Series 3 and Series 4, while Terrorhurtz was knocked out by Fluffy in Series 5. When reviewing Terrorhurtz before the melee, Pearce did say "in four attempts, they've never really gone beyond the heats".

  • Terrorhurtz's image on its statistics board in this series appears to use a cropped version of the pre-battle shot of it under the arena spotlight in its first battle of the series, instead of a studio shot like almost all other competitors' statistics boards. This was also made in the Extreme Series 2 All-Stars.

Robot Wars Extreme 2[]

  • In the first melee in Heat A of the All-Stars, Jonathan Pearce said Terrorhurtz's weight was 97.7kg despite it actually weighing 99kg.
  • In Heat A of the All-Stars, both Team Big Brother and Team Firestorm said that they had never fought each other before despite them fighting each other in the Tag Team Terror of Series 4.
  • In the post-battle interview between Dantomkia and Firestorm 4 (All-Stars, Heat A), Craig Charles addresses the latter in comparison to the Energizer Bunny. Within the context of it being a UK episode, this is likely to be an error, with Charles instead meaning to reference the similar Duracell Bunny mascot.
  • During the recap of the battle between Tornado and Bigger Brother, Jonathan Pearce mistakenly called Bigger Brother “Big Brother”.
  • When Hypno-Disc entered the arena in Heat B of the All-Stars, Jonathan Pearce claimed they had twice reached the Grand Final, when they had actually reached three Grand Finals. He used the correct statement in the Challenge Belt.
  • In the second melee of Heat B of the All-Stars when Growler was shown as a house robot, Shunt was erroneously behind him when the other house robot in the battle was Sgt. Bash. Also, Sabretooth is briefly present in the clip as it is taken from the battle between A-Kill, Reptirron the Second, Sabretooth and Terrorhurtz in Heat I of Series 6. The clip was also used in the battle between Thor and Chip in Heat B of the New Blood Championship, the Lightweight battle in the Robot Rampage and the final of the Iron Maidens.
  • As well as the aforementioned clip being used in the battle between Thor and Chip in Heat B of the New Blood Championship, Mr Psycho and Growler swap CPZs during their introductions for that battle before the opening countdown begins.

  • Firestorm 4 was shown with the United Kingdom flag instead of an English flag in the Commonwealth Carnage.
  • Neither Mini Morg or Velocirippa were introduced fully in their Tag Team Terror first round battles, with Mini Morg only being mentioned by name, and Velocirippa not even being announced at all.
  • In the Annihilator, Jonathan Pearce mistakenly said Thermidor 2 had never been beyond the heats when it actually reached the semi-finals in Series 4.
  • The clip of Revenge of Trouble & Strife in the arena before the third round of the Annihilator is actually taken from the first round.

  • At the end of the first Middleweight fight, Craig Charles calls Steel Sandwich Steel Sandwich Jnr.

  • On Saw Point's statistics board in the Minor Meltdown, half of its stats were the same as A-Kill's.
  • During Hydra's introduction in the Tag Team Terror, Jonathan Pearce mentioned the team having limited experience, despite the team having previously fought in the Fifth and Sixth wars at that point, and having reached the heat final in the latter.
  • When Maximus is introduced in the second round of its New Blood Heat A fight with Roobarb, the picture behind the team shows an image of Firestorm instead of Maximus.
  • In the house robot introductions before the New Blood Heat A Final, Sgt. Bash was shown outside the top-left CPZ before it then cut to him sitting in it before the countdown.
  • In the New Blood Heat A Final, when Mute pushed Roobarb into the pit release button, the pit descended, but the siren noise was not heard.
  • An editing error before Edge Hog's battles against Hell's Teeth and Thor in Heat B of the New Blood Championship showed the two house robots in the same CPZ (Dead Metal and Sgt. Bash in the former and Sgt. Bash and Sir Killalot in the latter).

  • When the pit was activated in the battle between Tornado and Snake Bite in the European Championship, the pit siren used was the one from Series 5, 6 and Extreme 1 rather than the one from Extreme 2 and Series 7.
  • In the European championship, Snake Bite's name was erroneously spelt as Snake Byte.

The Seventh Wars[]

  • After the second melee in Heat B, the board displaying the results wrongly showed that Killerkat, rather than Gyrobot, had qualified along with Jackson Wallop. Jonathan Pearce's commentary made the same remark.
  • G2 was referred to as "Cheese 2" in the Featherweight battle in Heat B due to a scripting error.
  • The featherweight competitor Cygnus X3 was referred to only as Cygnus throughout the same Featherweight melee.
  • When Big Nipper's profile closed in Heat B, no sound effect was heard.
  • Christopher Arnell and Jonathan Pearce referred to Killerkat's spinning blade as a disc, as did the robot's statistics board.
  • Killerkat's official image on its statistics board was mirrored.
  • Jackson Wallop's statistics board referred to its top-mounted spinning disc as a spinning arm.

  • On Hammerhead 2's statistics board in Heat O, Niels de Carpentier's name was erroneously spelt as Niels de Carpenter.
  • On Vader's statistics board in Heat A, Phillip Calthorpe's first name was misspelt as "Philip".
  • While introducing Sawpoint 2 in Heat E, Jonathan Pearce claimed that it debuted in Series 6 and lost in the first round, despite Team A-Kill's original version of Saw Point failing to qualify for Series 6 at all. Saw Point lost in the first round of the Extreme 2 Minor Meltdown, while the team's other Series 6 entry, A-Kill, reached the second round.
  • At the start of Heat H, Jonathan Pearce claimed Ming Dienasty was fighting "three newcomers to UK Robot Wars" - while Ceros was a newcomer, and Scraptosaur was new to the UK series, Metalis came from an experienced team who fought in three previous UK championships. He made a correction later by saying Metalis was a new machine from an experienced team.
  • When Scraptosaur entered the arena for its first battle in the heat, Jonathan Pearce claimed it had once reached a Semi-Final in Dutch Robot Wars. Scraptosaur actually reached the Grand Final in Dutch Series 2, as there were no Semi-Finals in the format for the Dutch series.
  • In Heat H, Scraptosaur's official image on its statistics board was mirrored. This was corrected in the Dutch qualifier for The Third World Championship in Heat O.
  • Jonathan Pearce kept pronouncing Ceros as "Seer-ros" during the first melee in Heat H, but later pronounced it correctly from Round 2 onwards.
  • In the House Robot introductions prior to the first melee in Heat H, Growler was shown in the arena outside a CPZ before the camera then cut to him sitting inside the bottom-left CPZ when the battle was getting underway.

  • In contrast to its Series 6 appearances, Tornado's statistics board omitted references to its interchangeable weapons capability, instead merely listing its weapon as a 'chain flail'.
  • Stuart McDonald did not state Bulldog Breed's seed when it entered the arena in its first round battle in Heat K, though Jonathan Pearce did mention it. However, Stuart did state Bulldog Breed's seed when it entered the arena in its battle against Tough as Nails in Semi-Final 1.
  • Whenever he appeared, Jonathan Pearce would state that Growler was the fastest House Robot. In actual fact, Cassius Chrome was the fastest House Robot.
  • In the second melee in Heat D, in the scene where Stuart McDonald said "Roboteers stand by", the robots from the first melee were shown in the arena.
  • Before the fight between Gravity and 13 Black in Heat D, Growler was seen in the bottom-left CPZ only to appear in the top-right CPZ in the very next shot. The shot after that showed Sir Killalot in the exact same CPZ and the camera then cut to him remaining in the CPZ when the opening countdown started.
  • An editing error before the first battle of Heat F showed Sgt. Bash and Shunt in the same CPZ, through roughly the same shot.
  • Jonathan Pearce incorrectly states in the Series 7 All-Stars special that Pussycat had fought in six wars in succession and reached five heat finals - these facts being incorrect not only for the robot itself, but also for Cold Fusion Team in general, as they did not reach the heat final in Series 2, did not compete in Series 6, and were knocked out by M2 in the second round of The Seventh Wars.
  • During the third Round 1 battle in The Third World Championship, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly said Tornado defeated Razer to win The Seventh Wars when it was actually the Sixth Wars (Typhoon 2 won The Seventh Wars and Razer did not even enter The Seventh Wars).
  • When Jayne Middlemiss was interviewing the Tornado team before their battle against Raging Knightmare in Semi-Final 1, Andrew Marchant referred to Raging Knightmare as its predecessor, Raging Reality.
  • Jonathan Pearce made an error in the commentary for the Heat G Final regarding Atomic. He claimed that it reached the Heat Final of Series 3 and was beaten by Hypno-Disc in Series 4. It actually reached the Heat Final of Series 4 and was beaten by Hypno-Disc in Series 5.
  • 13 Black was twice mistakenly announced as the wrong seed during this series by Jonathan Pearce. It was first announced as the third seed during the preview for its heat and then as the thirteenth seed during the Dutch World Championship qualifier. 13 Black in reality was seeded seventh in this series.
  • In Heat O, during the Dutch qualifier for The Third World Championship, when Tough as Nails pitted Scraptosaur, Jonathan Pearce referred to the World Championship qualifier as the "World Championship eliminator". He made the same mistake again after the second commercial break of the heat.
  • At two points in Heat I, Rhino was referred to as a newcomer despite its team having previously appeared in Series 4 and 5 with Reactor. The team later mentioned they had appeared before with a different robot, this being Reactor, but did not mention its name.
  • When Mighty Mouse entered the arena for its first round melee in Heat J, Jonathan Pearce stated that they had "previously fought in a Tag Team, but never alone", which is incorrect, as Trevor Wright's machine reached the second round of The Sixth Wars.
  • On Major Tom 3's statistics board in Heat F, its official image lacked the robot's name on the front.
  • During X-Terminator's interview prior to Round 1 of Heat F, Jayne Middlemiss stated that the team had been competing in Robot Wars since Series 4, when they had actually debuted in Series 3. Simon Baldwin reaffirmed her statement when asked. Before X-Terminator's interview, Jonathan Pearce did say they were entering a fifth UK Championship.
  • The clip of Shunt in his introduction for the Axe Attack in Heat F was mirrored.
  • During the post-Heat Final interview in Heat F, both Craig Charles and Marlon Pritchard claimed that no other competitor besides X-Terminator had used a flywheel to throw an opponent out of the arena. Whilst X-Terminator was indeed the first UK heavyweight to perform this, the Antweight competitor Combatant and the American competitor Cyclone had also thrown a robot out of the arena using a flywheel, the latter defeating two opponents this way.
  • Cygnus X-1 was simply referred to as Cygnus throughout its appearance in Heat G, except when introduced by Stuart McDonald.
  • In Heat G, Hellbent's official image on its statistics board was mirrored.

  • When Crushtacean was introduced in its first round melee in Heat L, Jonathan Pearce said it was through to the World Final, when Crushtacean was really through to The Third World Championship, not the World Final.
  • In Heat L, Michael Hanser was not credited on the statistics boards for Tartarus or Reaper NP2.
  • In a continuity error during Heat L's special event, the shot from the Reaper NP2 team's booth shows the pit already depressed, likely as the robot was being counted out. Though seconds later, Ansgar 3 is shown pressing the pit release button to activate it.
  • Just before the second commercial break for Heat L, Jonathan Pearce said the second Round 2 battle was going to be between UFO and Judge Shred 2 when it was actually Judge Shred 3. However, after the break, he corrected himself.
  • During the Grand Final, Stuart McDonald did not mention Storm 2's seeding while introducing the robot ahead of its eliminator against Tornado.
    • McDonald also did not mention Storm 2's country of origin during its introduction in its first round battle in The Third World Championship. Instead, he merely mentioned its place name and seeding as with its earlier appearances in Series 7.

  • Aggrobot's statistics board in Heat P referred to its lifter as a flipper.
    • Also on Aggrobot's statistics board, Jon Leach was listed as "Joy Leach". In addition, despite being credited on the statistics board, he was not present for the team in the heat.
  • During the House Robot introductions for the battle between Thermidor 2 and The Kraken in Heat J, the shot of Cassius Chrome is mirrored; his black eye is shown to be on the left of his face instead of the right.
    • The same introductions also feature a continuity error - the clip for Mr. Psycho shows him occupying the top-right CPZ, however the very next shot shows Cassius Chrome taking his place during the countdown to 'Activate'.
  • In the first melee in Heat K, in the scene where Stuart McDonald said "Roboteers stand by", Sgt. Bash was seen in the bottom-left CPZ only to appear in the top-right CPZ when it cut to his introduction for the battle.
  • Jonathan Pearce referred to Gi-Ant-O's spinning blade as a 'sideways flipper' prior to the Featherweight battle in Heat M. He later corrected this error during the battle itself.
    • In Sir Killalot's introduction for the same battle, he was shown outside his CPZ, and smoke from the Pit was visible behind him before the battle had even started. This introduction is used other times across Series 7, with the clip itself originating from when Sir Killalot pitted General Carnage 2 during its battle against Stinger in Heat C of Series 5.
  • In the interview with the Robochicken and Mega Morg teams prior to their Round 2 battle in Heat M, Jayne Middlemiss referred to Round 2 as Heat 2.

  • King B Powerworks' statistics board referred to the robot as King B "Powerworks".
  • Clips from Heat B were shown in the opening sequence for Heat K and Heat O as well.
  • During Firestorm 5's first round melee in Heat P, Jonathan Pearce said it was taking on the House Robots when it was actually attacking Bamm Bamm and Black and Blue.
  • In the opening sequence for Heat P, Jonathan Pearce said "Eight competitors. Five fights (not counting the Featherweight final). Nine House Robots" when in the actual episode, six House Robots appeared - Refbot, Mr Psycho, Sgt. Bash, Sir Killalot, Matilda and Shunt. It is possible he was referring to the total number of House Robots the series had at the time.
  • When Black and Blue entered the arena for its first round melee in Heat P, Jonathan Pearce stated it was a new robot despite it being from a veteran team which he mentioned during the melee itself.
  • Jeroen van Lieverloo only had his first name present on Gravity's statistics board.
  • In the post-battle interview after the second first round melee in the All-Stars championship, Stuart Barnwell of the Cold Fusion Team referred to King B Powerworks by its previous name, King B3.

  • On B.O.D.'s statistics board in Heat M, George Towell's name was misspelt George Towelo.
    • Also on B.O.D.'s statistics board, its name was spelt as "B.O.D", missing the full stop at the end.
  • The clip of Shunt in his introduction for the Heat M Final was mirrored.
  • In Sir Killalot's introduction before the first round melee between Colossus, Bigger Brother, U.R.O. and Typhoon 2 in Heat O, Sgt. Bash was shown behind Sir Killalot despite Sgt. Bash appearing in the top-left of the arena outside a CPZ in his introduction. The same clip of Sir Killalot with Sgt. Bash behind him was used again for the heat final of the same heat despite Shunt being present in the arena for the heat final and therefore joining Sir Killalot for the aforementioned battle.
  • Before the battle between Typhoon 2 and Hammerhead 2 in Heat O, Shunt was shown in the top-right CPZ before the next shot from a faraway view showed Matilda taking his place.
  • When Firestorm 5 appeared in the arena for its first battle in Heat P, Jonathan Pearce said it had twice finished third in the series, forgetting that it had also finished joint third in Series 3 with Steg-O-Saw-Us. He made the same mistake in the heat final by saying "Twice in the fifth series of Robot Wars and the sixth, they have finished twice", leaving out the word third before twice.
  • On Firestorm 5's statistics board, its official image was missing its red antenna.
  • At one point in Heat P, Ripper was referred to as a newcomer despite Team Roaming Robots previously appearing in Series 5 with T-Bone. Nevertheless, Jonathan Pearce mentioned T-Bone and its fight record when Ripper appeared for its first-round melee in the heat.
  • Before the fight between Storm 2 and The Grim Reaper in Semi-Final 2, Sgt. • Typhoon 2's image on the battle board in the Grand Final was different to that on its statistics board.
  • Riptilion's image on its statistics board in its World Championship qualifier battle against Hard in Heat J appears to use a cropped version of the pre-battle shot of it under the arena spotlight, instead of a studio shot like almost all other competitors' statistics boards. It is possible this is because the robot was brought in at short notice, since Araknia took significant damage during the main competition.
  • At the start of The Third World Championship, Jonathan Pearce stated that Typhoon 2 was representing Scotland. However, the battle board for its first round battle showed its name in front of the Union Jack, suggesting that it was instead representing the United Kingdom.
  • During the Grand Final Eliminator between Storm 2 and Tornado, the "Ref Cam" graphics were absent from Refbot's onboard shot when he pressed the pit release button. They appeared, however, in his next onboard shot - showing both competitors near the centre of the arena - as well as in another showing of the clip during Jonathan Pearce's recap of that battle.

Series 8[]

  • In Heat B, before the Head-to-Head battle between Thor and Foxic, Angela Scanlon stated that Thor was not yet through to the Heat Final. However, the previous results meant it would have been impossible for two robots to finish ahead of it in the league table.
  • In the same Heat B battle, Jonathan Pearce claimed that Foxic featured "lithium polymer armament". Not only was this an incorrect use of the term armament, but it was Foxic's batteries that were lithium-powered, not its armour.
  • Thor's statistics board in Heat B listed its weight as 110kg. This is an error, as Thor's weight varied between 105kg and 108kg depending on its choice of axe head and front plate. Perhaps in an effort to correct this, the Grand Final listed Thor's weight as the minimum 105kg.
    • The turntable image used for both of Thor's statistics boards is also cropped in such a way that its axe head disappears as it is being rotated.
  • Terror Turtle's statistics board in Heat D listed its combined weight, with its clusterbot The Hatchling, as 110kg. This is an error, as Terror Turtle's combined weight was 107.5kg (86kg + 21.5kg).
  • When the Heat D Head-to-Head between Storm 2 and Eruption was sent to a judges' decision, Jonathan Pearce erroneously referred to the criteria as style, damage and aggression instead of control, damage and aggression.
  • TR2's statistics board in the Grand Final stated its weapon as being a 'Pneumatic Axe', ignoring the flipper and despite its rear axe being removed for the final. This error was not present on TR2's statistics board during its appearance in Heat C.
  • Dead Metal's statistics throughout this series incorrectly stated that his saw was 4500mm wide, which would have been impossible given the dimensions of his rebuilt version's head assembly.
  • On various occasions throughout this series, a House Robot would appear but not be introduced onscreen; for example, Matilda in the Grand Final.
  • In the Grand Final, during the Head-to-Head fight between Thor and Carbide, Jonathan Pearce said "That, Thor thus far have not come up against a spinner" despite facing DisConstructor and M.R. Speed Squared in its heat, as well as Pulsar in the first round of the Grand Final.
  • Apollo's statistics board in this series stated that it was from Birmingham, whilst the website correctly states it is from Prestatyn in North Wales. Beast was also referred to as from Norwich on its statistics board, but from Lichfield in Staffordshire, the correct location, on the website.
  • Following the Grand Final Group Battle between Carbide, Shockwave and Apollo, Angela Scanlon erroneously said to Team Carbide "not only did you destroy Carbide, you destroyed the set as well!" when Carbide instead severely damaged Shockwave, and not itself.
  • During TR2's introduction before its first Head-to-Head battle against Big Nipper in Heat C, Clive Brown was captioned as "Chris".
  • Grant Hornsby and Martin Slattery were erroneously captioned with the other's name during King B Remix's introduction before its Heat C Head-to-Head against Dantomkia.
  • In Heat C, during their Group Battle, a shot of Big Nipper and Supernova coming into contact with each other was used twice in succession.
    • In his interview shortly after the aforementioned Group Battle, Sethu Vijayakumar stated that Supernova was trying to drive away from Sir Killalot before ending up in the pit. In fact, it had been pushed around and placed at an angle by TR2 before the gyroscopic forces of its disc carried it towards and into the pit.
  • Erroneously, M.R. Speed Squared's name was spelt simply as "MR SPEED SQUARED" on television, while the official website refers to it as "M.R Speed Squared", an error repeated in the robot's televised Series 9 appearance. The correct spelling is "M.R. Speed Squared", featuring two full stops.
  • In some heats, whenever it went to a judges' decision, it would cut to the judges where Eruption is seen in the reflection in the arena, despite only appearing in one episode.
  • In the introduction to Storm 2's VT segment in Heat D, Meral Bence had her first name misspelt as Meryl.
  • In the seconds prior to 'activate' for the Heat Final between Pulsar and Gabriel in Heat E, a shot of Apollo and Storm 2 in the arena was erroneously shown.
  • In Heat B, DisConstructor's name was misspelt as 'DisContructor'.
  • In the first Group Battle of Heat B, Jonathan Pearce said that Tough as Nails was causing damage when it actually sustained repeated attacks from Thor's axe.
  • Most of the weight statistics given for the House Robots in Meet the House Robots are inaccurate. Shunt's weight is listed as 300kg instead of 327kg, Dead Metal's at 370kg instead of 343kg, and Sir Killalot's at 750kg instead of 741kg. However, it should be noted that Sir Killalot's weight was later increased to 750kg for Series 9.
  • A graphical glitch occurs in Pulsar's statistics board in Heat E, where the colour settings for the turntable shot frequently alternate as the robot is being rotated. This can be seen in the wheels, which change colour from blue to dark grey, as does the pulsing light effect representing these. The glitch was rectified for Pulsar's later appearance in the Grand Final, where the turntable shot and light effects are presented normally.
  • In Science Channel's US versions of every episode, both Dara Ó Briain and Angela Scanlon's surnames are misspelt in the end credits as O'Brian and Sanlon respectively.
  • During the Science Channel broadcast of Heat A, Ian Lewis was erroneously referred to as John Lewis.
  • Throughout the Science Channel dubs, the US spelling "ax" is used in place of the more typical "axe" on statistic boards for robots armed with these weapons, e.g. Bonk, Terrorhurtz and GlitterBomb.

Series 9[]

  • Throughout Series 9, silhouettes of eight robots were used to demonstrate the Heat format to the audience. However, when the four Series 8 robots qualified over the four Battle of the Stars Robots in Round 1, the format showed Kan-Opener qualifying from its own fight alone, whilst Eruption, Terror Turtle and PP3D all qualified from the second fight, rather than two robots from each fight.
  • During The Cat's introduction in Episode 1 of Battle of the Stars, Jonathan Pearce quoted its disc as being able to spin at 'over 150rpm', instead of 1200rpm.
  • Jonathan Pearce incorrectly referred to the judging criteria as damage, style, control and aggression during the fight between Dee and Robo Savage in the second episode of Battle of the Stars.
  • During Sabretooth's introduction before its Group Battle in Heat A, it had its name misspelt as Sabertooth.
  • Throughout Heat 1, whenever Shunt and Sir Killalot participated as the House Robots for each battle, they would receive a stats board and introduction, whereas Dead Metal and Matilda only had one introduction during the first melee.
  • In the Head-to-Head battle between Aftershock and Rapid from Heat A, Jonathan Pearce claimed that Aftershock did not have a self-righting mechanism, despite Aftershock successfully righting itself a few seconds earlier after getting flipped by Rapid.
  • In the Heat A Head-to-Head between Sabretooth and Jellyfish, Jonathan Pearce said that the team members present in the Sabretooth booth were Gabriel Stroud, Esme Stroud and Rob Pickford, when in reality, Esme Stroud was absent. He also failed to mention fourth team member, Al Cannon, although he did mention him in the heat final.
  • After the first Group Battle of Heat B went to a judges' decision between Behemoth, Cobra and Eruption, Dara Ó Briain stated that a Group Battle had never been settled in this manner before, despite the fact a judges' decision was required in Heat E of Series 8 for the first Group Battle between Chompalot, Ironside3, Pulsar and Thermidor 2 (although Thermidor 2 was already immobilised and Pulsar was turning in circles).
  • During the Group Battle between Cherub, Draven, PP3D and Push to Exit, Jonathan Pearce's commentary line of "You see what I mean about that spinner? Very low to arena floor" was played twice.
  • In Eruption's VT before the start of the Head-to-Head stage, Adrian Oates had his first name misspelt as Adrien.
  • The statistics boards in Heat B erroneously listed both PP3D and Draven as weighing 94kg.
  • After Eruption threw Behemoth out of the arena in Heat B, Jonathan Pearce misquoted Behemoth's weight as 108.5kg instead of 109.5kg.
  • During the replay of the Head-to-Head between Thor and Heavy Metal in Heat C, Jonathan Pearce stated that Matilda's flywheel was the reason behind Heavy Metal's loss, believing that the attack was how one of Heavy Metal's wheels broke off. However, not only was Thor's slam against the wheel the cause for its breakage, it was impossible for Matilda's flywheel to cause the damage, since the wheel broke off from the side opposite to her flywheel.
  • Throughout M.R. Speed Squared's appearance in Heat C, the announcer, the presenters and Jonathan Pearce pronounced each letter of 'M.R.' instead of saying mister. Also, its name was spelt as "M.R Speed Squared", missing a full stop after the letter 'R'.
  • For an unknown reason, both Dead Metal and Matilda were shown going 'rogue' in the first head-to-head between Thor and Concussion, despite the fact that the contestants were only allowed to press the pit tyre once and Thor had already pressed it.
  • When introducing Apex, Jonathan Pearce noted that the team had competed with Foxic, which he stated 'had won no battles'. Unless he was talking about Foxic's Series 8 Head-to-Head battles, or its Series 9 campaign exclusively, that statement is incorrect, since Foxic qualified with M.R. Speed Squared in its Group Battle in Series 8, Heat B.
  • Apex was incorrectly referred to as coming from Bristol, a mistake that was previously listed on the official website before being replaced with Apex's true place of origin, Burntwood in Staffordshire.
  • Crushtacean's statistics board in Heat D referred to its top speed as 12mph, despite the Robot Wars website referring to it as 20mph.
  • A shot of Team Supernova was erroneously shown during the countdown to activate before the Head-to-Head battle between Wyrm and Ironside3 in Heat D.
  • Fhiannan McIvor of Memento Mori had his first name misspelt as Fhiannon in Wyrm's VT from Heat D.
  • Marc Dermott of Team Apollo had his first name misspelt as Mark in Apollo's VT from Heat E.
  • Coyote's arena introduction was also used for its preview in Heat E, and thus stated its location and name rather than its name and weapon.
  • During Ms Nightshade's Group Battle in Heat E, Jonathan Pearce said that it had four 'petals', when it actually had six.
    • Angela Scanlon also mentioned Ms Nightshade as having eight 'petals', when only six actually functioned as weapons.
  • Ms Nightshade's weapons were referred to as spikes, instead of axes, by the announcer.
  • At various points during Heat E, both Dave Young of Team MAD and Jonathan Pearce referred to Carbide's bar spinner as a 'disc'.
  • There was no mention of Crackers 'n' Smash potentially being disqualified for removing their weapons ahead of their Head to Head battle with Carbide, despite Sabretooth nearly being disqualified for not having an active weapon.
  • In the post-battle pits segment following the Grand Final Group Battle between Eruption, Apollo and Aftershock, Angela Scanlon erroneously called Aftershock by its predecessor's name, Shockwave.
  • During its Grand Final Head-to-Head battle against Aftershock, Jonathan Pearce said that Eruption had achieved five Out of the Arena flips in Series 9, when it actually achieved four. Conversely, Angela Scanlon stated that Eruption had flipped all of its opponents Out of the Arena, despite the fact that both Cobra and Hobgoblin were defeated by a judges' decision and a knockout, respectively.
  • During the second melee in Heat E, both Crackers 'n' Smash and Meggamouse are shown near the pit release tyre. A side view is later used to show where robots are, before jumping to a close up of the pit going down. When it turns to the side view, however, both Crackers 'n' Smash and Meggamouse are shown being a few metres away from the tyre, making it unclear as to which robot pressed the tyre.
  • During the first fight of Heat D, Supernova is seen damaging Frostbite with its first attack. Strangely, the shot immediately after this is a shot of HIGH-5 from behind, with damage to its rear. However, this shown damage does not actually occur until later on in the fight.

Series 10[]

  • During the first Group Battle of Heat A, Jonathan Pearce erroneously stated that Sabretooth had been equipped with an 'entanglement weapon'.
  • Apocalypse's home region was not mentioned during its introduction in Heat A.
  • During the overview of The Swarm before its Heat A Semi-Final battle against Behemoth, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly stated that eliminating two out of four Swarm machines was enough to constitute as a knockout.
  • Prior to the Robot Redemption Round in Heat A, Dara Ó Briain said the first semi-final was between Behemoth and Apollo, despite them both winning their Group battles. This erroneous statement was reinforced by a statistics board graphic featuring both machines.
  • Prior to Aftershock's Heat Semi-Final against Carbide in Heat B, a shot of it entering the arena with one of its discs was shown, in spite of Aftershock being equipped with its asymmetrical bar spinner for this battle.
    • Conversely, prior to the Third Place Playoff in the same heat, the shot of Aftershock entering the arena showed it being equipped with the asymmetrical bar spinner, instead of one of its discs.
  • Prior to the start of the Heat B Semi-Final between Aftershock and Carbide, Jonathan Pearce stated that the winner would face Eruption in the Heat Final. Although Pearce was correct in this statement, his comments aired before Eruption's Semi-Final battle with Big Nipper, therefore unintentionally spoiling the outcome of that battle.
  • During an interview with John Reid from Terrorhurtz in Heat C, Angela Scanlon stated that Team Terrafonics, who entered with Apex, was part of the "new guard". However, Team Terrafonics had previously competed in Series 8 and 9 with Foxic and Apex, and had made various appearances in lower weight class events during the Classic Series.
  • In Heat D, Nuts 2 was repeatedly stated to have never won a battle in Robot Wars. However, this is incorrect, as it actually progressed from its debut Group Battle in Series 8, Heat A along with Terrorhurtz.
  • Also in Heat D, Tauron's name was mispronounced numerous times, notably as 'Tow-ron' and 'Tear-ron'.
  • In Heat D, The Kegs was erroneously listed as having a top speed of 90mph.
  • Expulsion's weight in Heat E was stated to have been 70kg. However, the robot actually weighed between 70-110kg depending on which armour and weapon configurations it used.
  • In the Grand Final, Eruption was stated to have thrown four opponents out of the arena in Series 9, when it actually only defeated three in this fashion (although it did flip out Cherub twice).
  • In the extended cut of the 10 Robot Rumble, the normal three-minute countdown clock was displayed in the bottom-left corner at the start of the battle, despite the 10 Robot Rumble having no time limit.
  • In the extended cut of the 10 Robot Rumble, during the moment in which Iron-Awe 6 was pitted, Jonathan Pearce incorrectly called Robert Grimm Rupert.
  • In Episode 1 of the World Series, TMHWK was stated as being a newcomer, when it had actually competed in Series 9 in its then-current form.
  • In Episode 1 of the World Series, footage from the Series 9 Grand Final battle between Carbide and Aftershock was mistakenly shown prior to the Head-to-Head battle between Sabretooth and Cobra, during the interview with Team Rubbish captain Marco van Hek.
  • In Episode 1 of the World Series, Jonathan Pearce stated that Cobra was "five miles an hour" faster than Sabretooth, despite the pre-match statistics boards showing that Sabretooth's top speed was 15mph compared to Cobra's 12.5mph.
  • In Episode 1 of the World Series, Jonathan Pearce claimed that John Reid of Team Hurtz was the only roboteer experienced enough to have fought in the classic series alongside Diotoir. However, Team Legion had previously competed in the same heat as Diotoir in the Fifth Wars with Sabretooth.
  • In Episode 1 of the World Series, Jonathan Pearce claimed that Gabriel 2 was the most successful thwackbot in Robot Wars history prior to its Head-to-Head against Rabid M8. While this is true within the context of the Revival run - with its direct predecessor reaching the Heat Final in Series 8 - Pearce's statement ignores Stinger's third-place finish in Series 4.
  • In Episode 2 of the World Series, Jonathan Pearce had his name spelt as "Jonathan Pierce" in the captions.
  • In Episode 2 of the World Series, THE BASH was listed as weighing 110kg, despite the robot in actuality weighing only 83kg.
  • During the Grand Final Group Battle between Nuts 2, Carbide and Behemoth, the Dial of Doom had a technical issue after being pressed. In the incident, Carbide pressed the arena tyre, and although the Doom Dial landed on Rogue House Robot mode, the icon that erroneously lit up was the pit's.
  • After the first Group Battle of Heat A between Behemoth, Sabretooth and Donald Thump, Dara Ó Briain erroneously said that the decorative eye on the arena floor fell off of "Donald Trump", the president that Donald Thump's name plays on.

US Season 1[]

  • In the Robot Rebellion, during the first-round battle between Tut Tut and The Green House, the pit was shown to descend in one clip, only to be seen in the closed position in the very next shot.
    • At the start of the aforementioned battle, no sound effects were heard during the countdown to 'Activate'.
  • At the start of most battles from the Robot Rebellion, both the UK and US versions of the '3-2-1 Activate' announcement were played at the same time. This is especially noticeable in the first-round battle between Rosie the Riveter and Rot Box, where Stuart McDonald's voice could clearly be heard in addition to Stefan Frank's due to the delays in between each announcement.
  • Throughout the season, Stefan Frank stated that Drillzilla was allowed twice the weight of regular heavyweight competitors due to its shuffling design. Although it was designed to meet the US Series walkerbot limit of 350lbs/160kg, Frank's assertion is technically incorrect as the regular weight limit for heavyweights was 220lbs (100kg). It is likely that he was referring to the walkerbot weight limit for the UK Series 5 and Extreme 1, which allowed robots of those designs to weigh up to 200kg (around 440lbs).
  • During the first round of the Annihilator, the House Robots' statistics boards were displayed with the regular competitors' introduction music playing in the background.
  • In the second round of the Annihilator, Shunt was said to be one of the House Robots but instead, Sgt. Bash is seen.
  • Before the Civil War battle between Manta and Tiger Cat, the UK series 'Roboteers Stand By' announcement was heard instead of the usual US version.
  • When The Revolutionist was introduced before its battle with Sobek in the Civil War, Stefan Frank said it was the representative for the North when it was actually the representative for the South.
  • Before the first Tag Team Terror match, Shunt was said to be one of the House Robots but instead, Sir Killalot is seen.
  • Before the start of the Tag Team Terror play-off, the image for Shunt's statistics board fades in a few seconds later than usual.
  • In the War of Independence, Spawn Again's weakness was cited to be a lack of self-righting mechanism, despite being armed with a rear-hinged flipper. However, it should be noted that for its battle against Joker, Spawn Again was not fitted with the rear roll-cage it would later use in Series 5, which would have prevented the robot from being stranded on its rear panel as seen in Extreme 1.
  • At the start of both semi-finals in the War of Independence, the 'Activate' portion of the UK '3-2-1 Activate' announcement was heard alongside the US version.
    • This also occurred at a similar stage in the US broadcast of The Second World Championship, more noticeably at the start of the Semi-Final between Drillzilla and Manta.
  • While introducing the teams for the first US Championship heat, Rebecca Grant erroneously referred to 6 Million Dollar Mouse as The Million Dollar Mouse.
  • In the US broadcast of The Second World Championship, Mick Foley announced Switzerland as one of the competing nations, but in actuality, no robot competing represented the country.
  • Also in the US version of The Second World Championship, Stefan Frank claimed that Tornado was named after the fighter jet of the same name. In actuality, its name originated from team member David Gamble's occupation as a storm chaser.
  • Before the semi-final between Razer and Tornado in the US version of the Second World Championship, Shunt was said to be one of the House Robots despite Matilda appearing instead of him.

US Season 2[]

  • While The Falcon Mark 2 and Tyranabot entered the arena in the final of Heat H, each robot was erroneously introduced using their opponent's name.
    • This error was repeated during the Grand Final. While entering the arena for the title battle of Season 2, Panzer Mk 4 was introduced as Tricerabot, and vice versa.
  • At the end of the Heat D first round battle between The Revolutionist, Trackzilla and The Gap, the UK 'Cease' announcement was heard instead of the usual US version.
    • The UK 'Cease' announcement was also heard at the end of the International Championship battle between General Chompsalot 2 and Brawler.
  • In the first round of the Tag Team Terror, Mad Cow Bot is listed with Texas Tornado's statistics.
    • Additionally, Bang's weapon was listed as '3 x 16' Blades' on it and Snookums' statistic board instead of the pneumatic axe it was actually equipped with. Nevertheless, Stefan Frank correctly mentioned Bang's axe in his commentary, although he referred to it as a 'mace'.
  • While introducing Shunt and Matilda's statistics ahead of the Robot Rebellion battle between Buzz and Ninjitsu, Stefan Frank erroneously referred to the former as Dead Metal at one point.
  • The weaknesses section of Darkness' statistics board, as well as Stefan Frank, erroneously stated that Darkness used a two-wheel drive system.

Nickelodeon Robot Wars[]

  • When Phantasm is being introduced by the emcee, it is incorrectly billed from Ballwin. Montana when it is actually from Missouri.
  • At the end of both International Tag Team qualifiers, the UK series 'Cease' announcement was heard instead of the usual US/Nickelodeon version.
  • During the International Tag Team, the music normally used for the House Robot statistics boards was played over the battle boards for the play-off, instead of the usual battle board theme.
  • Immediately prior to the International Tag Team play-off, Vivianne Collins and Jade Spaven both referred to Bigger Brother by the name of its predecessor, Big Brother. During the play-off itself, Stefan Frank also makes this error shortly after Bigger Brother lands its first flip on Zanzara.
  • At the start of the Mayhem battle between Propeller-Head, Xylon and Rosie the Riveter 2, shown in Episode 3, the 'Activate' portion of the UK '3-2-1 Activate' announcement was heard alongside the US version.
  • Before the Vengeance between Bunny Attack and Hoot in Episode 3, Dead Metal was said to be present in the battle as one of the House Robots despite Matilda appearing instead of him.
  • Throughout its appearances in this series, Tut Tut's statistics board lists its strength as a 'Powerful Lifting Arm', despite it not actually being equipped with this type of weapon.
  • At the start of the Challenge Belt battle in Episode 3, the sound effect usually accompanying the '3-2-1 Activate' announcement is not played.
  • In Episode 5, Diskotek did not receive an arena introduction prior to its Mayhem battle.
    • Similarly, Zanzara was only mentioned by name during its introduction in the International Tag Team, though it should be noted that it and Run Away were both entered by teams from the same city - Salem, Oregon.
  • At the end of the first round of the Annihilator, the 'Cease' announcement was not played.

Dutch Series 1[]

  • While Blue's statistics board was displayed before its first-round battle against Project One in Heat D, there was no commentary from Eric Corton in the original BNN broadcast.
  • The replay of Slicer's first flip on Botwork in their Grand Final battle is mirrored.

Dutch Series 2[]

  • Before the Heat A battle between Neater and Hard, Mr. Psycho was visible at the top-right of the screen during a clip of Growler's introduction, despite Matilda being introduced immediately before Growler as the other House Robot for that battle.
  • Before the battle between Philipper 2 and Trazmaniac, Dead Metal was seen in the bottom-right CPZ during Matilda's introduction only to appear in the top-left CPZ in the very next shot.
  • Throughout its appearances, Krab-Bot's name was spelt as Krab Bot on its statistics boards, without the hyphen.
  • Before the battle between Krab-Bot and Alien Destructor 2 in Heat C, Dead Metal was shown sitting inside the top-left CPZ during his introduction, before the cameras immediately cut to him sitting outside it before the opening countdown.

German Series[]

  • Before the first battle of Heat A, Barbaric Response and Firestorm 4 can clearly be seen in the arena instead of Thorgrim, Tyke and Son of Armageddon when Growler is being introduced. The clip itself originates from Heat B of Series 6.
    • Additionally, Mr. Psycho is visible in a CPZ during the same clip, despite Matilda immediately being introduced after Growler and joining Growler in the arena for the aforementioned battle.
  • In the German version of the first Second World Championship heat, Chaos 2’s statistics board shows its Series 6 stats instead of its Extreme 1/Series 5 stats, which would have been more accurate for this battle.
    • Additionally, Mastiff’s power source is listed as a 12V electric motor instead of a 24V one, and Ansgar’s dimensions are listed as 0.75 x 0.75 x 0.75 instead of 0.75 x 0.75 x 0.34 as in the UK broadcast.
  • The German version of the UK vs Germany Special misspells Philippa Forrester and Adam Clark as Phillipa Forester and Adam Clarke, respectively.

Merchandise[]

Video games[]

This does not include glitches

General[]

  • In Metal Mayhem and Arenas of Destruction, Mentorn Barraclough Carey is misspelt in the credits. In Metal Mayhem's credits, Mentorn Barraclough Carey is misspelt as Mentron Baraclough Carey, whilst in Arenas of Destruction, it is misspelt as Mentorn Baraclough Carey.
  • In the credits for both Arenas of Destruction and the PC/Xbox versions of Extreme Destruction, Panic Attack member Christian Bridge has his name in brackets. However, this could be due to him joining the team via winning the competition in the Robot Wars Magazine.
  • In Arenas of Destruction and the PC/Xbox versions of Extreme Destruction, both models of Behemoth, based on the Series 4 and 5 versions respectively, have rear axes. However, only the Series 3 version of Behemoth was equipped with these weapons.
    • Additionally, the Extreme Destruction model of Behemoth lacks the top-mounted axe that the real-life version had for Series 5 and most of its Extreme 1 battles.
  • In the credits for Arenas of Destruction and Advanced Destruction, a number of mistakes can be found with Mortis' credits.
    • Firstly, in Arenas of Destruction, Infranor 5 is credited as a member of the Mortis team. In actuality, the name refers to one of the robot's sponsors, Infranor Motors, which supplied its drive motors for its later appearances.
    • Meanwhile, in the instruction booklet and credits for Advanced Destruction, Mortis and its team are credited as Mortis Infranor, again a likely reference to Infranor Motors.
    • In both of the aforementioned games, Ben Gordon is listed as Ben Gord in Mortis's credits. This presents an additional error, since Gordon only joined Random Violence Technologies for Series 3, and was replaced by Paul Ford in Series 4, the series in which both games were based on.
  • In both versions of Extreme Destruction, Thermidor 2 and Wheely Big Cheese are not invertible, when they were in real-life.
  • In Arenas of Destruction and the PC/Xbox versions of Extreme Destruction, both versions of Diotoir can self-right when in real-life all variants of the robot had no srimech. This error does not apply to Diotoir's appearances in Metal Mayhem and Advanced Destruction, since all robots automatically self-right when flipped.
  • Shunt's front bulldozer scoop is completely static in Arenas of Destruction and both versions of Extreme Destruction.
  • For unknown reasons, Sir Killalot's code makes him the fastest House Robot in both versions of Extreme Destruction when in real life, he was the slowest.

Robot Wars: Metal Mayhem[]

  • The original Thermador is known as Thermidor II.
  • Diotoir and Sir Chromalot are two dimensional only.
  • Crasha Gnasha is purple despite the fact that the real-life version and the menu artwork are blue.
  • For some reason, a screenshot of Ultor is featured on the back of the box, even though it does not appear in the game.
  • Chaos 2's weapon is listed as a "Pneumatic Axe".
  • The War Zone arena, based on the Series 3 arena, does not feature a Floor Flipper nor flamethrowers.
  • X-Terminator is painted grey in the game, when the Series 3 version, through which the game model is based on, was red.
  • Pussycat is completely grey, when in Series 3, it was also painted black.
  • Dead Metal is pink and grey, when he should be just grey.
  • Terminal Ferocity is completely green, when in real-life it was yellow and black.
  • Sir Killalot is actually smaller than some competitor robots and other House Robots.

Robot Wars: Arenas of Destruction[]

  • Terrorhurtz sports a 1012 decal in the game, instead of the Hz12 decal found on its real-life counterpart.
  • For unknown reasons, Coopertron, a super heavyweight, is allowed to compete in heavyweight-only competitions Robot Wars Championship and the Assault. Another error allows Mortis to compete in the axe-exclusive Hamburg Heavyweight Tournament even though it has a lifting arm.
  • In the credits, Diotoir team member Peter Redmond is misspelt as Peter Redmodn.
  • Firestorm 2 is known simply as Firestorm, with the exception of Jonathan Pearce's introduction.
  • Hypno-Disc is known as Hypnodisc.
  • Most of the competitor robots have incorrect weights compared to their real life versions. The most notable example of this is that Mortis weighs 95kg in the game when it actually weighed 79.3kg by the time of its appearance in Series 4. Note that a 95kg weight limit was introduced for the concurrently-filmed American Robot Wars 2000 pilot, but the 79.4/80kg limit was still mandated for UK competitors at the time.
  • Jonathan Pearce states that the Floor Flipper is used for insult to injury on immobilised robots. While this statement accurately reflects the Flipper's role in the original series, this statement is incorrect for Arenas of Destruction, as the Flipper will fire automatically if robots remain stationary on it for too long.
  • In the Training Ground mode, the Ultimate Challenge description states that the player "must go head to head with Shunt, Matilda, Sgt. Bash or the mighty Sir Killalot", omitting the fact that Dead Metal can be battled in this mode as well.
  • A curious modification occurs to Hurricane in the Military Base tournament Flip Frenzy. Like all non-flippers competing in the tournament, Hurricane is modified to incorporate a lifter, placed on the front of the machine. However, for an unknown reason, Hurricane also changes it chassis, from a low classic wedge to a cone, yet retains the same polycarbonate armour and pipe extras. Although most competitor machines have alternative versions that compete in weapon-exclusive tournaments, Hurricane's modification is the only type that has an alternative chassis to the original, therefore making it an error.
  • Oddly, Salvage and The Argo incorporate fewer drives than wheels, with two Small Inner Pneumatic wheels being left without any control.
  • Should the player win the Mount Kilimanjaro tournament Zorten Industries' Cup, a notification states that the player has unlocked "secret components". However, no components are unlocked after the tournament is won.
  • Sergeant Bash's rear disc spins, when it should be static, as with the real-life Series 4 version.
  • The Robot Wars arena is said to be located in London, England, when the Series 4 version it was based on was actually situated near St Albans, in Hertfordshire.
  • The Van de Graf balls accessory present on robots such as Skull Dragger was included as a nod to American physicist Robert J. Van de Graaff, though his surname has been misspelled in the game.

Robot Wars: Advanced Destruction[]

  • In the US version of the game, the credits for game commentary still go to Jonathan Pearce, even though he was replaced by another voice actor for this version.
  • In the credits, Onslaught team member Peter Holland is listed as "Pete Holland". Note that this would still be an error even if corrected, as Holland was replaced by Mark Holland in Series 4, when the game was released and based on.
  • In the credits, Steve Bickle is listed as part of the 101 team despite not being present for the team in Series 4, when the game was released and based on. Steve joined the team in Extreme Series 1.
  • The War Zone arena, based on the Series 4 arena, has arena floor spikes, and angle grinders lining the arena walls. Although grinders were present in the Series 4 arena in real-life, the ones depicted in the game are much larger and the floor spikes were removed following Series 3 and never implemented in the actual Series 4 arena. By contrast, the Floor Flipper, which was included in the Series 4 arena, is not present in the game.
  • In Championship mode, the player may defeat a competitor, yet for some reason still face it later on in the competition.
  • Diotoir has fur on top of its lifter, which it never had in real life.
  • Chaos 2's rear is opaque, rather than transparent.
  • Dominator 2's flame decals are missing from the sides.
  • Razer's front wheels are the wrong colour, being green rather than blue. As well as that, the self-righting wings protrude outwards (as if it was self-righting or giving its "salute") when the claw is in its default position, but close as the claw comes down to attack and there are far less weight-reducing holes in the wings and they are large and square, rather than small and round.
  • Onslaught is missing the skull and crossbones logo on its front scoop.
  • The stripes on Behemoth's scoop are shown pointing in the opposite direction to the real-life version.
  • The bar in between the attachment point to Stinger's wheels and the mace is the wrong shape.
  • Plunderbird 4 can self-right in the game, although this was not possible in real life.
  • Plunderbird 4's wedge is steeper than in real life.
  • Terrorhurtz's axe is the wrong shape.

Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction (GBA)[]

  • Dead Metal and Matilda are coloured white when they should be grey and purple respectively.
  • Two errors concern Destructive Criticism's appearance in the game. Firstly, it is painted completely green, when the the bars surrounding the wheels are unpainted. Meanwhile, its disc functions as a saw rather than a flywheel. This would be intentional, had it not been for the fact that Hypno-Disc's and Propeller-Head's spinners function similar to actual spinners.
  • Panzer Mk 4 has a light blue top when the real robot had a black top.
  • Sir Killalot's shape is incorrect, as he was longer than represented in the game.
  • Sir Killalot's head is shown as part of the body, instead of protruding.
  • The colour of Sir Killalot is lighter than in real life.
  • Shunt's axe appears to be a spike instead of a slightly broad blade.
  • Shunt's colour scheme is slightly different from real life.
  • Shunt's wheel arches are closed.
  • Dominator 2's axe only features the destructive point and not the two side spikes to help with self-righting. Also, the chassis appears to be based upon the Series 4 version of the machine, evident by the lack of wheel guards and a much narrower axe head.
  • Bigger Brother's wedge is taller and steeper and it also has a thinner flipper.
  • 101's shaping looks narrower and longer than its real counterpart, and its design is flipped backwards so the front end is the rear and vice versa.
  • Neither Rosie the Riveter 2 nor Tricerabot 3.0 are invertible, unlike their real life counterparts.

Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction (PC/Xbox)[]

  • The model used for Tornado is actually its Series 4 model with its spinning disc added. The pneumatics for the spike, its weapon in Series 4, are still present.
  • Spanners is not invertible. Despite this, fully recreating Spanners via the workshop gives the robot this ability.
  • Firestorm has two intros - the first intro is from Arenas of Destruction and the second intro is for Firestorm 3.
  • Despite being based on the real-life UK Series 5-7 version, the Robot Wars TV Studio arena incorrectly shows four House Robots in each CPZ, a working Drop Zone and the Series 4 Floor Flipper with a concealed mechanism. Two House Robots were always used in those series, while the Floor Flipper had been redesigned to have exposed sides revealing the space containing the pneumatic mechanism.
    • Though the presence of Panzer Mk 4 makes the Drop Zone's function accurate for the similarly-designed Extreme Warriors Season 2 arena, it and the Floor Flipper were not typically activated on mobile robots as is the case in these versions of Extreme Destruction. Furthermore, the Drop Zone could drop multiple objects throughout the course of a single battle, as opposed to a single object in reality.
  • The Robot Wars arena pit descends after one minute and forty seconds, regardless of whether the pit button was pressed or not. This feature was only implemented in Series 4 and should not occur in this version of the Robot Wars arena.
  • Suicidal Tendencies is not invertible, unlike in real life. Its scoop also has not been programmed to function for unknown reasons.
  • Wheely Big Cheese's underside is grey, when it should be the same as the top. It also has a caster wheel on the underside, something it lacked in real life.
  • Thermidor 2's back is pointed, like its Series 4 version, even though the game is based around Extreme 1 and Series 5, where it had a rounded back.
  • Todd Mendenhall is not listed as one of Panzer Mk 4's team members on the battle board, despite always being part of the team. Brian Nave is likewise not listed on The Revolutionist's battle board.
  • The Revolutionist notably has two smears of red and blue paint on the baseplate, which can be seen when it is flipped. These smears did not appear on The Revolutionist in real-life.
  • Hypno-Disc has three top mounted and two rear mounted spikes, like the Arenas of Destruction model, despite the fact that this Hypno-Disc should have been based on the Series 5 version (which had a single top spike). Its flywheel is also flat, like the Series 3 model, when the disc was slighty domed-shape from Series 4 onwards.
  • In the Chassis section of the Robot Builder menu, the Tornado chassis has no description for unknown reasons.
  • Razer's front scoop, which was added in Extreme 1, does not appear in the game. Oddly, Razer's logo also appears on the left side of the model only, unlike in real-life when both sides incorporated the logo.
  • Chaos 2's Co2 bottle is designed so it fits horizontally, when in real-life it was mounted diagonally.
  • Jonathan Pearce states that Diotoir has a flipping arm, which only the Series 3 and 4 models had. The Extreme 1 and Series 5 variant that the game's Diotoir is based on actually has a bucket scoop.
  • Diotoir's scoop is a flat sheet instead of being curved. Its car springs are also straight up instead of at an angle, unlike in real-life.
  • Pussycat's disc is mounted so that it spins downwards, unlike in real-life where it actually spins upwards.
  • Refbot's electronic counter counts down from 10 to 1. In real-life, the count actually starts at 1 and finishes at 10.
  • Refbot's extinguisher and three lights are on the wrong hands.
  • In the Football minigame, Sir Killalot is the goalkeeper. Not only was Dead Metal always used as the goalkeeper in real-life, Sir Killalot never actually appeared in the Football events at all.
  • Michael Pritchard is listed as "Derek Pritchard" on Behemoth's statistics board.

Other games[]

  • In Robot Wars: The Game, Chaos 2 has triangular wheel covers on each side, which it never had in real life.
  • In The Game, Destruct-A-Bubble has no spike, unlike in real life.
  • In The Game, Razer has no self-righting wings, nor a curved claw.
  • In The Game, Suicidal Tendencies has a front scoop that was only used in BattleBots and never in Robot Wars.
  • In the first three packs of the Robot Wars Battle Cards, some images of several robots on their cards, such as X-Terminator 2, are mirrored.
  • In the first pack of the Battle Cards, Sergeant Bash has his name misspelt as Segeant Bash on his card.
  • In the first pack of the Battle Cards, Clawed Hopper is misspelt as Clawd Hopper on its card.
  • In the first pack of the Battle Cards, Suicidal Tendencies is misspelt as "Suicidal Tendancies" on its card.
  • In the first pack of the Battle Cards, Spawn of Scutter is misspelt as Spawn of Skutter.
  • On its Battle Card, Disc-O-Inferno is misspelt as Disc-O-Inferrno.
  • In the second pack of of the Battle Cards, Millennium Bug is missing its lifter. This is also featured in Robot Wars: The Official Guide.
  • In the second pack of the Battle Cards, Behemoth's weight is listed as 80.4kg instead of 80kg.
  • In the second pack of the Battle Cards, S.M.I.D.S.Y. has a full stop missing at the end.
  • In the third pack of the Battle Cards, Iron-Awe's axe is yellow instead of silver. This is also featured in Issue 8 of the original Robot Wars Magazine.
  • In the fourth pack of the Battle Cards, some robots have incorrect weights, with most being over their actual weights. In some cases, robots such as Barber-Ous 2 had weights listed over the 100kg weight limit.
  • In the fourth pack of the Battle Cards, images for most of the robots, such as Barber-Ous 2, are of their Extreme 2 versions, despite the cards being based on Series 6.
  • In the fourth pack of the Battle Cards, Mega Hurts 2 is misspelt as Mega Hurtz 2 on its card.

Toys[]

  • In each of its appearances, Hypno-Disc is shown with its Series 3 disc.
  • All the toys of Panic Attack lack the signature spider design on the top. In addition, the pullback version has black eyeballs instead of the red painted on the real-life version of the machine.
  • The "XT" logo and the entire axe head on the X-Terminator 2 pullback is upside down. The image of it on its statistics card shows it the right way up.
  • On the statistics card for the Sir Killalot pullback, one of its weapons was listed as a flamethrower.
  • Shunt's wheel caps are black rather than grey. It is interesting to note that the advertisement shows Shunt with white or light grey wheel caps.
    • Shunt's wheel caps are also incorrectly coloured on the minibot toy. This time, they are the same colour as the rest of the body. The axe is also erroneously painted this colour.
  • Tornado's design is not replicated on the underside of the robot, with the toy having a black and red base instead.
  • The Sgt. Bash minibot has green wheel caps when in real life, they were grey.
  • The size of the pullbacks side by side is incorrect correlation to real life.

Published material[]

Magazine[]

  • The original Robot Wars Magazine incorrectly stated that Spawn of Scutter had defeated Gravedigger on its way to the Series 4 semi-finals, despite the picture in the magazine clearly showing it fighting Vercingetorix. In fact, Team Scutterbots and Gravedigger never fought each other on Robot Wars, although both teams were in the same heat in the following series and also the same semi-final in Series 3 and both lost in the first round.
  • In some Series 4 heat reports, some of the round 2 battles were swapped round. For example, in Issue 14, the report for Heat O says the battle between Aggrobot 2 and S.M.I.D.S.Y. came before the battle between Panic Attack and Saw Point when it was the other way round.
  • The transmission date for Heat M of Series 4 says 29/12/00 rather than 05/01/01. The Northern Annihilator was broadcast on 29/12/00 and did not get a report at all in the magazine.
  • In the 'Robot Mayhem' event report from the first magazine, some images taken from the event are mirrored. The image of Sir Killalot fighting Teddybot shows him with his lance on his left-hand side and his jaws on the right, instead of vice-versa, and the numbers on F-One in the image of its qualifier are also shown in reverse.
  • In Issue 17, the picture of Sir Killalot pitting Cronos is said to be from Heat E when it was from Heat D.
  • The same page about Sir Killalot's finest moments from Series 4 refers to Kronic the Wedgehog as "Sonic the Wedgehog", the Sonic part of which it is a pun on Sonic the Hedgehog.
  • In the Heat Report for Heat D in Issue 8, a picture of a flame jet is used where a picture of the Cronos team should be. Also, the picture of Cronos is of it in the arena.
  • In the heat report for Heat G of Series 4, Thermidor 2 is simply referred to as Thermidor.
  • In Issue 10 in Issue 10, the image of Sir Killalot pitting Centurion is mirrored.
  • In the Heat Report for Heat M in Issue 13, The Steel Avenger is missing a team photo, with a picture of it fighting Sir Chromalot being put in its place.
  • As well as that, The Steel Avenger's picture is incorrectly cropped, removing the axe head. Not only that, but it is a picture of it from its battle between Wild Thing and Humphrey.
  • In the Heat Report for Heat N in Issue 14, two photos of Millennium Bug fighting are used where the photo of Millennium Bug and the team photo should be.
  • In the Heat Report for Heat O in the same issue, a photo of Saw Point fighting is used where the team photo should be.
  • Mini Morg is referred to as Mega Morg.
  • Juggernot 2 was mistakenly referred to as Juggernaut 2.
  • In the section The Third Wars: The Heats in Issue 2 of the magazine, the heats are listed out of order.
  • In the report for the battle between Razer and Cyrax in Issue 1 of the Titan magazine, the picture of Razer and Cyrax on the flame pit is mirrored.
  • In the first issue of the second edition, there were two Battle 2s for the write-up of Heat B instead of one Battle 1 and one Battle 2.
  • In the Sixth Wars league table, four heats have the round 1 battles reversed.
  • In the first issue of the second edition of the Robot Wars Magazine, the report for the second melee of Heat B of Series 6 falsely said Firestorm won the Fourth Wars when it lost in the first round of the semi-finals of that series.
  • In both Stinger and Tornado's history sections in Issue 3 of the magazine, it said Stinger lost in the Series 4 Grand Final to the second seed Chaos 2 when it was actually seeded first and Tornado was knocked out by Diotoir in the first round of the Fifth Wars when it was actually the second round.
  • In the first issue of the Titan magazine, during an article on the Series 6 qualifiers, Destruct-A-Bubble was erroneously referred to as Destructor.
  • In Issue 2 of the Titan magazine, an image from Firestorm 4 vs X-Terminator is used in the battle report for The Alien vs Shredder.
  • In Issue 2 and 5 of the Titan magazine, Jake Adams is mentioned on Wild Thing's statistics sheet despite not being part of the team in Series 6.
  • In Issue 4 of the magazine, Panic Attack was said to have been knocked out twice by Firestorm when it was actually knocked out three times at the time.
  • One other notable mistake in Issue 4 of the magazine showed a picture of Terror-Bull on Terrorhurtz's statistics sheet. There was also a picture of Terror-Bull's team instead of Terrorhurtz's team in Terrorhurtz's lowdown and history.
  • In the report for the Series 6 Heat J Final, one of the pictures of Dominator 2 and Hydra is actually from their first round melee.
  • In Issue 4 and 7, Granny's Revenge 2 was said to have had a washing machine dropped on it when it was actually an oven.
  • In the 'Tech Round Up' section from Issue 4 of the Titan magazine, Axios and Toe Cutter are erroneously mentioned as the first two robots to face Hypno-Disc in Series 3, instead of Robogeddon and Stealth respectively. The former two robots fought Panic Attack.
  • In Issue 5 of the Titan magazine, Behemoth was said to have won the Extreme Series 1 Challenge Belt. It actually won the belt for two battles, but then lost to Tornado.
    • The statistics for Behemoth in Issue 5 also referred to its scoop as a 'flipper'.
  • In the same issue in Disc-O-Inferno's lowdown and history, the robot's name was misspelt as Disco-O-Inferno.
    • Additionally, Disc-O-Inferno's history section in Issue 5 also ignored its victory in the second Extreme 1 Annihilator.
  • Also in Issue 5 of the Titan magazine, Bigger Brother was stated to have ‘defeated every champion of the Wars’ except Razer, despite not having fought either Panic Attack or Roadblock by the time of the magazine’s publication.
  • In the personal zone about Philippa Forrester in Issue 5, it shows a picture of her interviewing the Thermidor 2 team, but the sentence about it is incomplete.
  • In Issue 7 of the Titan magazine, the image of Terrorhurtz in the pit is from the Extreme 2 Challenge Belt final, not its All-Stars battle.
  • Also in Issue 7, Kan-Opener's height was mistakenly listed as 26cm instead of 24cm, although this was corrected later on in the same issue.
  • A number of errors regarding the House Robots' statistics were present throughout Issue 7 of the Titan magazine, particularly in the first 'Battle Zone' section:
    • As with other Robot Wars publications, Sergeant Bash was listed as having a circular saw as part of his weaponry, despite it being disabled since Series 3. Additionally, his pincers are not mentioned at all on his 'Battle Zone' stats.
    • Ironically, despite being the fastest House Robot by the time of the magazine's publication, Growler's weakness was listed as 'slow speed' in the 'Battle Zone' section.
    • Mr Psycho's 'Battle Zone' stats stated that his weaknesses included being 'Very slow and cumbersome', despite Mr Psycho having the same top speed as Sergeant Bash and the original Matilda, and being faster than Refbot and the original Sir Killalot.
    • Refbot's front plough and rear scoops were referred to as 'shunts' and listed as weapons in his 'Battle Zone' stats, despite not being intended for combat use.
    • In a behind-the-scenes article on the House Robots later in the issue, Sir Killalot's stats listed his weight as 500kg instead of 520kg.
    • Matilda's tusks were described as hydraulic instead of pneumatic.
  • Diotoir was spelt inconsistently throughout the second magazine. Although often spelt correctly, it was frequently spelt "Diottor". Sometimes, both spellings were used in the same issue.
  • In Issue 19 of the original magazine, three of the Dutch Series 1 competitors featured have their names misspelt; Philipper as Philliper, Bamm Bamm as Bam Bam and El-Mower as El Mower.
  • The Fantasy Fights in the original magazine made frequent visual errors and inconsistencies to the robots they depicted. These include the following:
    • Chaos 2's flipper mechanism is portrayed inaccurately in its Grudge Match against Cassius. When it opens, it is depicted as having a single ram and being hinged half-way up its front, as opposed to having twin rams and being hinged at the top as on the real robot and in its later Fantasy Fights.
    • Sir Chromalot's drill and cobalt cutter are combined in its battle against Plunderbird 4.
    • The back of Plunderbird is drawn as being black, when it was actually yellow with a red trim at the bottom, like the rest of the robot.
    • Spawn of Scutter is merely named "Spawn" in its fight against Aggrobot 2, and its spike is completely absent.
    • As well as that, Aggrobot 2 is merely named "Aggrobot".
    • In one comic in Issue 11, it is stated that CPZ stands for "Controlled Patrol Zone", when it actually stands for Corner Patrol Zone.
    • Behemoth's scoop and srimech are both portrayed inaccurately in its battle against Gemini and Wild Thing. Wild Thing also acts as a full-body flipper, a design it did not have.
    • As well as being misnamed (as above), Destruct-A-Bubble's lance is portrayed as static in its battle against Robochicken and Banshee. Robochicken's beak also mistakenly has its protective covering in the battle, and its axe-spike disappears completely when it first attacks Banshee.
    • Scorpion is missing all three of its spinning discs in its fight against Terror-Bull and Bulldog Breed 2. Bulldog Breed is also shown to be capable of self-righting.
    • Wheelosaurus is misspelt as "Wheelasaurus" in its battle against Stinger.
    • In both Cronos vs Reptirron and Diotoir vs The Creature, the arena angle grinders are shown to be extremely large twin vertical saw blades. Not only does this not match any set-up the actual angle grinders had, but it is inaccurate for the arena at the time, as the Series 4 arena did not have angle grinders.
    • Cronos' claw is portrayed as static in its battle against Reptirron, and its wedge, which is undersized, is shown to have the ability to lift.
    • Knightmare is wedged onto its side in its fight against Gravedigger and The Morgue, which would be impossible in real life.
    • Firestorm 2, Bolt From the Blue and Tornado are all portrayed inaccurately in their fight. Firestorm is still sporting its wedge-guard, Bolt From the Blue's flipper opens too far back and Tornado's spike is static. Also, at one point during the fight, Bolt From the Blue sidestrands Tornado and goes to attack Firestorm, only to fly up its wedge and collide with Tornado again, all while going in the same direction.
    • Raizer Blade's lifting arm is portrayed inaccurately in its battle against Razer.
    • Sumpthing's axe is portrayed inaccurately in its battle against Onslaught and Scar.
    • Saw Point is missing its front spike in its battle against Spikasaurus. Spikasaurus itself is missing its own spikes in one frame.
    • When Evil Weevil collides with Milly-Ann Bug and Little Fly in their battle, a wheel is shown breaking off. However, in the next three shots, the robots have all their wheels intact.
    • Stinger, Mortis and Hypno-Disc are all portrayed inaccurately in their fight. Stinger's arm is shown permanently pointing upwards, Mortis is devoid of its armour and Hypno-Disc's flywheel is in its Series 3 design except for the last two panels.

Robot Wars: The Ultimate Guide[]

  • The quickest battle at the time is stated to be Evolution and Spawn Again, at 19.1 seconds, when the record at the time was Cerberus vs Griffon from Series 3. Even though they could have been counting the total time before 'cease' was called, it then goes on to state that Wheely Big Cheese vs Axe-Awe was twelve seconds long, and that battle involved an immediate immobilisation.
  • S3's former incarnation is said to be Triterobot, despite it mentioning that it was MouseTrap's original incarnation, and its battle history is in MouseTrap's column (with the robot also being incorrectly put down as 'Tri-Terra-Bot' on both counts). S3's true former incarnation was Sting, although this is not mentioned at all.
  • In S.M.I.D.S.Y.'s battle history, it states it was beaten in Round 2 in The Third Wars by Dreadnaut (also misspelled 'Dreadnought'), when it was beaten in Round 1 by Rattus Rattus.
  • The results for The Fourth Wars: Sumo Basho are incomplete and partially incorrect. The only robots shown are Maverick, Diotoir, Firestorm 2, S.M.I.D.S.Y., Spawn of Scutter, X-Terminator, Scorpion, Razer and Bigger Brother. In addition, it states Spawn of Scutter won the tournament (Panic Attack won it yet it isn't even mentioned in the time list), and Scorpion, Razer, Spawn of Scutter and Bigger Brother's times are all incorrect.
  • In the Robot Wars Extreme: Series 1 results, it says Spirit of Knightmare won Annihilator 2 when Disc-O-Inferno did, and Anty B won the Antweight Melee when Combat Ant did (though Anty B would go on to win the antweight competition in the next series of Extreme).
  • The weapon stats for 101, Chaos 2 and S.M.I.D.S.Y.'s profiles are wrong - 101's and Chaos 2's weapon stats say "Vertically Mounted Flywheel" whilst S.M.I.D.S.Y.'s reads "Axe and Lifter". Chaos 2 in reality had a flipper, S.M.I.D.S.Y. had jaws (that could act as a lifter somewhat) and a disc and 101 had a spear which had a sensor.
  • Kronic 2's former incarnation is said to be Wedgehog although in fact the two robots were built by different teams.
  • Atomic is said to have flipped Reactor out of the arena in the qualifiers. Robots were never allowed to flip each other out of the arena in the qualifiers due to safety concerns.
  • The Series 4 heats F and M are in the wrong place. The guide says Wild Thing and Sir Chromalot were in Heat F and Tornado and Gemini in Heat M, when it is the other way round - this mistake is repeated in the Sir Chromalot profile. In reality, according to the seed distribution, the listing in the Ultimate Guide would be the consistent place, despite not being the reality.
  • It states that Growler weighs 420kg and Mr. Psycho weighs 600kg when Growler and Mr. Psycho actually weighed 375kg and 750kg respectively.
  • ORAC's Revenge is incorrectly named DRAC's Revenge in the Series 3 guide.
  • In the Series 3 guide, Thermador is spelt with an "I" in place of the "A". This error also appears in Thermidor 2's Battle History and in its Former Incarnations.
  • In the Fourth Wars War of Independence, it states that Ming 3 took part, when Ming 2 took part. Ming 3 hadn't been made yet.
  • Behemoth's weapons stat only has Pneumatic Scoop as the weapon, saying nothing about the axe.
  • In the House Robots section, it states that Sergeant Bash has a Rear-mounted Cutting Disc even though it was deactivated and was only for show in the Third Series.
  • In Mini Morg's History, it says that they lost in round one to Kat 3 in the Fifth Wars. Later, in the Worst Moment section it says that they lost to Kater Killer. In real life they lost to Kat 3, although Kater Killer was made by the same team.
  • In Series 4 results, Millennium Bug is just called "Millennium".
  • It misspells Panzer Wraith as "Panzerwrath".
  • It calls The Parthian Shot "The Parthian Scott".
  • Demon Duck is simply reduced to "Demon".
  • Corporal Punishment is misspelled "Corp Punishment" in the Internet Insurrection report.
  • Firestorm is credited as having scored 185 points in the Series 4 Pinball Tournament when it only scored 135 points.
  • In the Series 4 results, the semi-finals have the wrong robots listed. Spawn of Scutter, Panic Attack, Stinger and MouseTrap are said to have fought in Semi-Final 1, whilst Pussycat, Thermidor 2, Firestorm 2 and Dominator 2 are said to have fought in Semi-Final 2. In reality, it was the other way round. The Grand Final eliminators are also reversed.
  • Pussycat is stated as reaching the Extreme 1 All-Stars semi-finals when it actually reached the All-Stars quarter-finals.
  • The Longest Running Grudge is said to be between Pussycat and Razer, when that had only lasted two fights (the second of which was only acted out for entertainment purposes), even though grudges such as the one between Panic Attack and Firestorm or King Buxton and Team 101 had lasted more fights (They had both fought each other three times).
  • In Thermidor 2's Best Moment, it incorrectly states that Thermidor 2 threw Behemoth and Stinger out of the arena in the Tag Team Tournament when this actually occured in the Mayhem battles.
  • Major Tom's Extreme Series 1 information is not listed.
  • Crasha Gnasha is incorrectly listed as Crash Gnasha in the Series 3 results. Also, Ally Gator is misspelt as Ally Gaitor, Inverterbrat is misspelt as Invertebrat and Darke Destroyer is misspelt as Dark Destroyer.
  • Tiberius 2 is misspelt as Tiberious 2 in the Series 5 results. This is also made on the Robot Wars website on Carbide's Series 8 page.
  • Destruct-A-Bubble is misspelt as Distruct-A-Bubble in the Series 4 results.
  • The Series 4 results also incorrectly states Big Brother competed in Heat J when it was actually Bigger Brother who competed in Heat J.
  • In the Extreme Series 1 results, King B Powerworks is credited as King B3.
  • It mistakenly says Razer and Gemini both won the Series 4 Best Design Award when in real life, only Gemini won the award.
  • It does not mention Roadblock's successor Beast of Bodmin despite the former having a profile.
  • In the Series 4 results, Mazakari is misspelt as Mazekari, Dreadnaut XP-1 is simply listed as Dreadnaut, Darke Destroyer 2 is simply listed as Darke Destroyer, The Morgue is simply listed as Morgue and The Predator is simply listed as Predator. Additionally, Bigger Brother is listed as Bigger Brother 2 in the Sumo Basho, Pinball Warrior and Tag Team Terror results.
  • In the Series 5 results, Napalm 2 is simply listed as Napalm.
  • Draven is referred to by original name, Anthrax.
  • In Dominator 2's battle history, it says that Dominator 2 reached the semi-finals of the Fifth Wars 'by surviving one of Wheely Big Cheese's legendary flips'. This actually happened in the first round of the semi-finals.
  • Napalm's Extreme 1 performance only lists it reached the Annihilator in the Mayhem, ignoring its Tag Team Terror and Vengeance information.
  • Mortis' weight is listed as 100kg when it was actually 79.3kg from when it last competed.
  • In the Extreme 1 Results, the House Robot Rebellion is referred to as the "UK House Robot Challenge".
  • King B Powerworks' Extreme Series 1 performance ignores its Mayhem and Wild Card Warrior battles.
  • On Napalm's profile and the Extreme 1 Mayhem results section, The Spider is simply listed as "Spider" but this is corrected in the Wild Card Warrior section in the results section.
  • Chaos 2's Series 5 performance says it flipped Storm Force into the pit in Round 1 when it actually placed Storm Force on the pit before activating the pit button.
  • Storm Force is listed as "Storm" in the Series 5 results. Also, Bulldog Breed 3 is listed as Bulldog Breed 2.
  • In Plunderbird 5's profile, Plunderstorm is erroneously referred to as 'Plunderbird 3' in the 'Worst Moment' section.

Robot Wars Extreme: The Official Guide[]

  • Sergeant Bash's rear cutting disc is mentioned, even though by that series it was no longer active.
  • Behemoth is claimed to have lost on points to Pitbull in the Series 3 Heat Final, when it was actually immobilized after getting flipped. However, it was eventually re-righted and active at the end of the fight, so the error may have been based on that.
  • Michael Pritchard of Behemoth is mistakenly listed as "Derek Pritchard".
  • On Diotoir's profile, it states that Firestorm flipped it into the pit to win the Heat Final in Series 3. This would not have been possible as the pit was not used for the Heat Final onwards. Firestorm actually flipped Diotoir onto the flame pit.
  • Panic Attack is listed as coming from Ipswich, when it in fact comes from Cwmbran.
  • Stinger is listed with a 0 ground clearance, which is an impossibility considering its design.
  • Stinger's profile also mentions "All of that (Stinger's workings) is bad news for Chaos 2, who are top of Stinger's hit list after knocking Stinger out of the Fourth Wars in a Semi-Final that Stinger controversially claims was fixed!". That battle actually took place in the Grand Final, not a Semi-Final.
  • In Bigger Brother's history, it is stated that Big Brother beat Sir Chromalot to win the Series 3 Heat Final. This actually happened during the second round of the heat. Big Brother actually "beat" Ultor to win the Heat Final, and the guide, as a result, fails to mention the events that took place in that heat.
  • Napalm is listed as being able to go at 20mph, when it has been stated it can only go at 8mph.
  • In Suicidal Tendencies' profile, Raizer Blade is misspelt as "Razer Blade".
  • Thermidor 2's predecessor, Thermador, is continuously spelt in the same way the sequel is.
  • S.M.I.D.S.Y.'s guide claims that Rattus Rattus pushed S.M.I.D.S.Y. into the pit, when in fact it was Dead Metal.
  • In the Mayhem section, several robots listed as taking part do not actually appear in the event, including Bigger Brother, 3 Stegs 2 Heaven, Spawn Again, 101, Mega Morg, Firestorm 3, Suicidal Tendencies and Plunderbird 5. It is possible that these robots were due to take part in the event, but were forced to withdraw for various reasons (it is stated in the introduction that robots being scheduled to appear in one event may be forced to retire if they are damaged in an earlier battle, and hence some of the listings in the book may not match up with what is on TV). It should be noted that all the Mayhem fights featuring robots not mentioned in the Guide appear to have been filmed during or after Series 5. Spawn Again was never due to compete.
  • Ming 3 is listed as coming from Kettering, rather than Somerset.
  • Killertron is listed under the name "Killertron 1". This was presumably to avoid confusion with the new robot the team had made to qualify for Series 5.
  • The guide makes a mention of an event called "The Peoples Challenge", where viewers post their dream fights online, which are then fought out in the arena. The event never took place.
  • Although a picture of the former is used, neither Anty B or Razzler are mentioned in the guide. Instead, a robot named Close Shave is listed in the stats. This robot never appeared in the competition.
  • The Revolutionist is listed as coming from Virginia, when it actually comes from Florida.
  • The listed speeds for some of the house robots are incorrect. For example, Sir Killalot is listed as being 8mph, and Sergeant Bash only 5mph, whereas it is actually the other way round.
  • Diotoir is listed as winning the Sportsmanship Award four times, when it had only won it three times.
  • In the World Championship section, the word Championship on the title is misspelt as Chamionship.
  • Spawn Again's notes section refers to it as its predecessor, Spawn of Scutter.
  • On S.M.I.D.S.Y.'s profile, Cyberspace, the location it was from in Extreme 1 and Series 5, is misspelt as "Hyperspace".
  • In Fighting Torque's profile, it is said that All Torque fought Thing 2 in the heat final of Series 3 when that battle happened in the second round of their heat. Wild Thing and Cerberus' profiles mention them meeting each other in their Series 3 heat final.

Robot Wars: The Official Robot Guide[]

    • The same entry also attributes Mortis' defeat in its Series 4 Heat Final to its team forgetting to put 'one of its robot-ears' on. In actuality, Mortis lost to Steg 2 in the aforementioned Heat Final due to its lifting arm jamming open, leaving it unable to self-right.

  • Shockwave's appearance in Series 8 was stated to be its first time fighting in any competition, despite it having previously competed in Techno Games (albeit under a different name) and a limited number of live events prior to its rebuild.
  • It was stated on Supernova's Series 8 page that it had once torn part of the arena wall out in one battle, before shredding one of Sir Killalot's tracks when the battle was restarted. The description likely counts the two series of Robot Wars Extreme in which Thermidor 2 entered, despite neither series of Extreme featuring a UK Championship.
  • On its Series 9 page, Tauron's statistics refer to its weapon as a spinning drum, though it is later correctly described as a vertical spinning bar.

However, Crushtacean did not exist at the time of Series 2, and actually competed in Series 5-7 as well as the second series of Extreme. Crushtacean's defense also mentions a speed of 20kph (12mph), despite its top speed being referred to as 20mph.
  • On both its Series 8 and 9 pages, Ironside3's bar is stated to have weighed 35kg, instead of 18kg.
