List of known qualifiers

This is a list of known qualifying battles. All qualifiers listed below took place as part of the selection process for Series 4-7 of Robot Wars.

Series 4

Qualifiers took place exclusively during the Robot Mayhem live event, held in between American Robot Wars 2000 and events filmed for the televised Series 4. Robots which won qualifier battles for this series were not guaranteed entry into the series.

NOTE: Robots known to have been in attendance for the qualifiers do not have their battles listed as there is either no information on their opponents and/or no details on the fight itself. For more information on robots that were known to have attended the qualifiers but do not have any information regarding their qualifier battles, see the Robot Mayhem article.

• 1 — V-Max was selected as a reserve, and was brought in to fight when Onslaught broke down.
• 2 — Not the same Griffon built by Oliver Steeples.
• 3 — Described as an 'aluminium square-shaped robot with a spike.'
• 4 — Although Charybdis did not appear on Robot Wars, it was selected as a reserve.
• 5 — Potentially a successor to Excalibur, though this is unconfirmed.
• 6 — Referred to as Ming in a Watford Observer article, though its design differs greatly from that of the qualifying Ming 2.
• 7 — Hard Cheese was standing in for V.I.P.E.R. 01, which had broken down.
• 8 — Schumey 2K fought an additional four qualifying battles to fill in for two separate robots that both dropped out.
• 9 — Both robots were entered by the same team.

Series 5

Qualifiers took place both during the 2001 Live Event tour, and later at Elstree Studios immediately prior to filming.

Like in Series 4, winning a qualifier for Series 5 did not guarantee qualification for the series. Additionally, some robots would battle robots that were seeded for Series 5, which would qualify no matter whether they won or lost the qualifier.

At many of the Live Event qualifiers, robots were put into groups of four under the Metal Mayhem show format. There would be two one-on-one first round battles, and the winners would fight each other, with the winner of that battle automatically qualifying for The Fifth Wars.

Series 6

Qualifying battles were now four way melees, just like the first round of the Series, though some battles featured two or three robots depending on availability. For the first time, winning a qualifier battle guaranteed qualification to the series. Discretionary places were still awarded.

• 5 — Skorpizoid was unable to enter the arena due to drive issues, but later fought in the qualifier won by I Bot One Beta.
