Malfunktion was a competitor robot that solely appeared in Series 3 of Robot Wars. It only competed in the Robotic Soccer side competition, losing its only match to Gnasher.
Design[]
Malfunktion was a rounded box wedge-shaped robot armed with a lifting scoop and a circular saw. It had a high ground clearance, but the robot saw little action in its only appearance.
Robot History[]
Series 3[]
Malfunktion competed solely in the Robotic Soccer side competition. In its qualifier, broadcast as part of Heat E, it faced Gnasher, and drove slowly towards the ball before turning round and being rammed from behind by Matilda. This hesitation allowed Gnasher to seize the ball and push it towards the goal, where it was intercepted by Matilda and Dead Metal. Gnasher eventually succeeded in scoring a goal, eliminating Malfunktion from the Robotic Soccer competition as a result.
