Mesmer 2 was an invertible antweight robot that took part in the Antweight Championship of Extreme Series 2 of Robot Wars. It was armed with a vertically mounted spinning flywheel, but didn't get to cause much damage, as it was swiftly finished off in the first round after it hit Chroma. Its design was vaguely similar to the Series 2 Dutch champion PulverizeR and the twice UK Semi-finalist S3.

Its name may be a shortened version of mesmerize, which means to hypnotize or fascinate, or it may be named after the 1994 film, Mesmer.

It is unknown if there was a predecessor to this robot.

Mesmer 2 on its side

Mesmer 2 was placed up against Hades, Chroma, Anty B, Anty Geddon and the reigning champions Combat Ant in the heats of the Antweight Championship. At the start of the battle, Mesmer 2 attacked Chroma, but the impact turned it on its side. It never recovered, despite its desperate attempts to right itself. Unfortunately, these attempts were pretty much it spinning around on its side aimlessly, as Hades sunk into the pit.

Mesmer 2 was left alone after this and was eliminated in Round One, with Anty B and Combat Ant going through after Chroma was side-stranded and Anty Geddon was absolutely destroyed.
