Micah was a robot that attempted to qualify for Series 3 of Robot Wars. It is currently unknown whether the team attempted to qualify for any other series.
Design[]
Micah was a wedge-shaped robot with a hydraulic lifting arm at the front, and a rear-mounted 12" cutting disc powered by a car starter motor, somewhat similar to Stealth, who qualified for the same series.
According to the team's build diary, the chassis was constructed from galvanised steel and the robot's armour was cut from 2mm sheet steel and welded together. The robot was two-wheel drive, but had castors for support at the front.[1]
Upon testing, the team discovered Micah's lifting arm was capable of hoisting an adult human, so they adapted the front of the robot to take advantage of this.
