Not to be confused with the Series 1 stock robot Eubank the Mouse, or Team Mouse
Mouse was a heavyweight robot which applied to compete in Series 9 of Robot Wars, but was not selected to participate. It was designed by the Schmidt family, who later intended to build the robot for entry into a potential third season of the BattleBots reboot, and later competed with it at RoboGames 2017.
Design[]
Mouse was a four-wheeled, rounded wedge-shaped robot with a profile closely resembling that of Prizephita Mach 2. Its weapon was a small rear-hinged flipper at the front - also similar to that of the former UK Series competitor - powered by a pneumatics system. Although a four-wheeled machine, only Mouse's rear wheels were motorised, with the front wheels being castors.

Outside Robot Wars[]
Mouse made its robot combat debut at RoboGames 2017, where it won its first battle against Sluggo after the latter was unable to drive properly in the opening seconds. It next faced the four-wheeled rammer, Whoops! - although it succeeded in lifting Whoops! to begin with, it would ultimately lose the battle on a judges' decision after the latter consistently rammed it for the whole duration. Demoted to the loser's bracket, Mouse next faced Deviled Egg, winning the judges' decision after continuously ramming the latter. It would then fight SabreX, which caused extensive damage to its bodyshell with its disc and immobilised it in the final minute. As a result, Mouse was eliminated from RoboGames 2017 with two wins and two losses.
The Schmidt family previously competed in the 2016 RoboGames competition with a two-wheel drive hammer called Dagger, with which they also attempted to compete in Season 2 of ABC's BattleBots. They would later compete in RoboGames 2018 with a heavyweight named Shape-Shifter. The team registered for RoboGames 2023 with a new robot Anti-Hegemony, however it dropped out for unknown reasons.
Trivia[]
- Mouse, alongside Mega Melvin, is the first known example of an American robot attempting to qualify for a UK series of Robot Wars since Series 3's Rolling Thunder 2, and both are the first example of an American robot attempting to enter while the team were still located in the USA.
