- — TeamMouseTrap website[1]
Mutant MouseTrap was a heavyweight robot and successor to MouseTrap which attempted to enter Series 6 of Robot Wars, but did not qualify for the televised series. TeamMouseTrap retired the machine after this, and replaced it with the clusterbot Black and Blue, which competed in Series 7.

Mutant MouseTrap was an upgraded version of MouseTrap, the team's previous machine, armed with a spinning drum, which the team claimed could spin at speeds of up to 10,000rpm. Its armour was 3mm stainless steel monocoque, 6mm polycarbonate, 1mm Titanium laminate + wood effect sticky back plastic (the team used 2 layers this year for added strength) and 25mm nylon rear armour.

Trivia[]
- If the claims that Mutant MouseTrap's drum spins at 10,000rpm were true, this would have been the fastest spinning weapon in the history of Robot Wars, alongside the lawnmower blade of Conquering Clown 2, until the record was exceeded by the 11,000rpm drum spinner of Smash in Series 10.
