Piranha was a round robot that fought exclusively in the New Blood Championship of Extreme 2. It had a solid construction with aluminium armour and was armed with a 1m swinging arm with 1" blades which the team referred to as a "saw-hammer". It also had solid rubber wheels for perfect traction and 20mph top speeds, but had an unreliable srimech. Piranha made it through to the second round before it was beaten by Pressure.
The team, unofficially called 'Professor Piranha' and 'Miss Ile', had been given some help building the robot from Team Razer.

It attempted to qualify for Series 7 but lost to Team Terrafonics Tanto who also failed to qualify for the Seventh Wars.

Extreme 2
Piranha attacks Fatal Traction
Piranha faced Fatal Traction and Doctor Fist in its first round battle. Piranha began by attacking Fatal Traction with its blade several times, before pushing it around the arena. While Doctor Fist was having steering problems, Piranha continued to shove Fatal Traction around the arena and attack it. Fatal Traction finally began to attack Piranha with its flywheel, doing little damage, before opening the pit. All the while, Doctor Fist was spinning around in circles. The other two robots continued to attack each other. Meanwhile, Refbot had counted out Doctor Fist, and both other robots went through.
Pressure lifts Piranha up
In the second round, Piranha was drawn against Pressure. Pressure took advantage of Piranha's inaccurate axe blows to lift and slam it into Matilda's corner patrol zone, where the house robot's flywheel flayed part of Piranha's shell. Piranha fought back, pushing Pressure towards Shunt's CPZ, where some blows rained down on Pressure. A pushing match ensued between the pair, with neither machine's weapons doing significant damage. The judges ruled in favour of Pressure due to the damage Piranha sustained from Matilda.
