The Refbot pullback was based upon the Series 4 version of its real life counterpart. Because of this it does not feature the electronic countdown board and the electronic carding system, both introduced in Robot Wars Extreme 1. The two arms did move with the aid of a button on it's back. The button made the pincer arm move upwards and the fire extinguisher arm move downwards, pressing the button also made the head turn to the right slightly. The pincer was fixed in position. It also featured a "Bump and Change Direction" style drive, like the Shunt pullback meaning if it hit an object it would change direction or reverse.
