Rhynobot was a heavyweight robot which was chosen to compete in the Series 3 of Robot Wars, but withdrew before the competition started, and did not appear on television.
Qualification[]
Rhynobot entered the auditions stage required in order to qualify for The Third Wars. It had a successful audition, demonstrating good control and pushing power by shoving a ball into a net, and knocking over some concrete blocks. As a result, Rhynobot was selected to compete on the show.

Series 3[]
Rhynobot's ability to compete in The Third Wars depended on whether the team would be present in the UK at the time of filming, as they were constantly travelling to the United States. When Series 3 was initially delayed from its late-August to early-September timeslot, it actually was actually to the benefit of the Rhynobot team, as they would have been unable to attend filming in that time period.

Unfortunately for Rhynobot's team, filming was rescheduled for late October, preventing the team from attending as it would have conflicted with their already-planned holiday in Florida. On 28 September 1999, Mark announced that Rhynobot would not compete in Series 3, although expressed interest in competing for a later series.
- "Shame, but the Rhynobot team has to withdraw from RW-UK III. The filming dates clash exactly with our vacation in Florida :(( I'm a tad miffed with Mentorn, though (are you reading this, Bill?). Having called them up to say we had to withdraw, we then got a letter saying "Sorry, but you haven't been selected". I'm glad I got to it before my 7-year-old, or he would have been most upset. We *had* been selected and I imagine Mentorn didn't have any "Sorry you've had to withdraw" letters. Still, next year - bigger and better!"
