Steel Sandwich was a flat box wedge shaped robot made by the Terror Turtle team that entered the Middleweight Tournaments in Extreme Series 2 and Series 7. All three of its battles involved Typhoon. At just 12cm high, this was one of the lowest machines in Robot Wars history to enter the proper arena.

Steel Sandwich in Extreme 2
Steel Sandwich faced reigning Middleweight Champion Typhoon, alongside Malc 1.5 and Broadsword, in its first round melee.

Steel Sandwich was chased by Broadsword at the start of the battle, but suffered no damage. Dead Metal tried to attack it, but Steel Sandwich was too low and escaped. It then tried to attack Malc, before being hit by Typhoon. It tried to wedge under the Scottish robot, before ramming into Malc, causing one of its wheels to come off. It was pushed by its opponent, but escaped, allowing Refbot to count out Malc, and Steel Sandwich to go through with Typhoon. The two robots faced Typhoon Twins and 259 in the final, but was repeatedly hit by the Typhoon robots and stopped moving. It was counted out just before Cease, and Typhoon won.
Series 7
Steel Sandwich was attacked early in the Series 7 Middleweight Championship by Typhoon, neither robot appearing to take any damage. The robots clashed again, Typhoon appearing to hit Steel Sandwich's wheel. After Phoenix had become immobilized, Steel Sandwich had lost the drive in one of its wheels, leaving it to be eventually pitted by the reigning Middleweight Champion.
