Confirmation of Prometheus? TG (t c) 23:59, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

I guess it would make sense that Prometheus was the 7th. It wouldn't have any other reason to be in England. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 01:25, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
However, if the prize was to represent America, it detracts from the point if Prometheus was chosen anyway. TG (t c) 01:58, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
Perhaps, but Flensubrg Power got to represent Germany in the next World Championship, as did PulverizeR in the one after that. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 02:50, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Lost Media article[]

Hello everyone. I was very interested when I first saw this article, as it was the only piece of lost media (with the exception of the Hypno-Disc-TX-108 battle) on Robot Wars. Henceforth, I decided to create an article on the Lost Media Wiki in an attempt to find this pilot. The article can be found here. I was wondering if the men and women of this wiki could help with fixing grammatical errors or add/correct any information on the article.

There is one more thing I would like to ask. Where did all this information on the pilot come from? It would help in expanding the article as well as making sure that nobody on the Lost Media Wiki will delete it on the assumption that I made it all up. Sources[]

Is there any sources anywhere about this pilot? It seems awkward having this without any reference or external links anywhere, appearing as if it's been made up (Though that's clearly untrue I'm just saying from an outsider POV) Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 11:58, January 4, 2018 (UTC)

I believe Gearheads: The Turbulent Rise of Robotic Sports has a section about it here. On an unrelated note, I had no idea that Vince McMahon was interested in a robot combat show of his own, known as Robodeath. Very interesting... SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 20:08, January 4, 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for that. I may add it as an "External Link" Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 20:17, January 4, 2018 (UTC)

Contacts[]

Is there anyway of finding out information from contacts? I've tried to PM Adam Clark about The Mangulator but no success so far. Is there any other roboteers that may hold some information? Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 16:42, March 12, 2019 (UTC)

Quote on Mauler[]

Saving this for another time but here's a quote I found:

"This year, Mentorn actually built a semi-decent arena. However, the

lexan was still not as thick as it should have been, and the top of

the arena looks to have been made out of similar matierial to that

used in the first Battlebots (which was proved then to be inadequate

to the task)

I've a feeling that the Mauler will not be comming back to a Mentorn

Event anytime soon, either. Also, last I heard (24 hours ago) one of

Team TMz (FrenZy) is still stuck in London... Draw your own

comclusions. I'm not going to put my own thourhgts on this, becauase

it's well known that someone high up "in robotWArs" sees litigation as

(to quote) "a way of life" and right now, I just don't have the time

or the pacience."

A rename to American Robot Wars 2000[]

As detailed in the MTV press release, this pilot was given the name American Robot Wars 2000. Thus, would it make sense for the article to be renamed to reflect the official title? I think the only time "MTV Pilot" was used was on Team Minus Zero's website, where they stated it as the "Robot Wars MTV Pilot".

As for Jimlaad's question regarding Spike (MTV), I am happy with that name sticking unless someone really prefers Spike (American Robot Wars 2000). SpaceManiac888 (Talk) 13:16, 12 November 2021 (UTC)

If that's the official title given, than I also think that a rename would make sense. As for Spike, I'd suggest either keeping 'Spike MTV' as we have now, or possibly trying something simpler like 'Spike (2000)', which would still be enough to tell us that this particular competitor took part in the 2000 pilot. VulcansHowl 16:49, 12 November 2021 (UTC)

Had a quick browse through the Killerhurtz website (specifically the 'News 2000' page) and it also lists 'American Robot Wars 2000' as the official name for the pilot. A month has passed since SpaceManiac888 first proposed this change, but I'm more certain than ever that this page needs to be renamed pronto. VulcansHowl 12:03, 12 December 2021 (UTC)

Happy to support the rename. TOAST 22:34, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
