Thunderpants[edit source]

According to the Team Panda website, Thunderpants' hammer was capable of moving both up and down from it's starting point, so when the robot was flipped over, it could still strike an opponent. I don't recall seeing another robot with this setup even outside Robot Wars, so should it belong in the Unique Weapons category, or just be acknowledged as a hammer functioning differently? Some robots such as Garm/Destructive Criticism and the original Dreadbot/Drillzilla either being on the same team or being built by the same team. I'd leave it on this page and make a note of the special way it functions. I really don't understand how the hammer would work when the robot is flipped though. Christophee (talk) 14:26, February 16, 2013 (UTC)
Seems like the best thing to do. The website says that the hammer had a banana linkage which made it fire upwards or downwards depending on the orientation of the ram, which I'm guessing meant that the hammer mechanism flexed slightly in one direction depending on which way up the robot was.
