Name of categoryEdit

What are we calling the category for the robots in the "Heavy Rotating Weapons" section? Should we come up with a different name for those weapons or just put them in the main "Robots with Heavy Rotating Weapons" category? Christophee (talk) 15:44, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

I'll do the latter until somebody comes up with a better idea. Christophee (talk) 12:28, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

If this wiki is aimed at Robot Wars, why does this page, Lifting weapons, Rotating weapons and to a lesser extent Overhead weapons (Which uses the Battlebots photo) use photos of robots from Battlebots. The other weapon disambiguation pages use Robot Wars competitors (Chaos 2, Razer, Stinger).
My suggestions would be:
Heavy Rotating Weapons: Hypno-Disc. Very famous and pioneering.
Lifting Weapons: Behemoth. Famous, early and relatively successful.
Overhead Weapons: Terrorhurtz. Destructive, finalist and the basis for most robots competing today.
Rotating Weapons: Pussycat. Effective, well known, finalist.
Static Blades is lacking a picture, so I nominate: Spikasaurus. First Annihilator Champions.

Hypno-Disc, a pioneering user of the Heavy Rotating Weapon.

Behemoth S6

Behemoth, famous user of a Lifting Scoop.

Terrorhurtz, destructive pioneer of today's Overhead Weapons.

Pussycat, powerful wielder of a cutting disc.

Spikasaurus, successful user of Static Blades.

It does make sense to use Robot Wars competitors as the example image. Christophee (talk) 12:34, September 16, 2013 (UTC)
Of all the robots used, Biohazard was the only one I had heard about, let alone seen. Can we just work out a decent caption for each robot before we put them up please. The ones I have put aren't the best. Jimlaad43(talk) 13:01, September 16, 2013 (UTC)
How can you not have heard of Hazard, the middleweight champion of BattleBots of Season 1.0, 3.0-5.0? Sam (BAZINGA) 15:44, September 16, 2013 (UTC)
Don't you mean Season 1.0, 3.0 and 4.0? CrashBash (talk) 16:51, September 16, 2013 (UTC)
I have never seen Battlebots and only knew about Biohazard because it was an early self-righter. Robot Wars is the only robotic combat programme I have watched. If it was middleweight, I REALLY won't have heard of it. But my point still stands. Should we replace Battlebots images with Robot Wars images? Jimlaad43(talk) 16:05, September 16, 2013 (UTC)
It makes sense to change the pictures to Robot Wars competitors. Sam (BAZINGA) 16:13, September 16, 2013 (UTC)
I'd advise against 101, as its weapon wasn't static. RelicRaider (talk) 16:32, September 16, 2013 (UTC)
Good Point. I suppose the clue is "Static Blades". I've replaced it with Spikasaurus. Jimlaad43(talk) 16:47, September 16, 2013 (UTC)
If no-one has any more complaints or wants to change the captions, these pictures will go up in a few hours. Jimlaad43(talk) 07:28, September 17, 2013 (UTC)
