Hellbent 2[]
If this is Hellbent 2 ...
... does that make this Hellbent 3?
Looking on the website, I noticed that the version of Hellbent seen on the show was actually called "Hellbent 2". Not just on the website, but if you look closely, you can see it written on the back of the robot. I was going to add a bit to the article to say "The version of Hellbent seen on the show was known by the team as Hellbent 2, but was simply referred to as Hellbent on the show and the statistics card.", much like we did with The Executioner (whose second version was known by the team as Executioner/Evo 2), but the problem is the modified Hellbent that came after Robot Wars ended is also known as Hellbent 2. I'm not sure how to rephrase the bit about "Team Smash renamed it Hellbent 2". What is a good way of saying "Hellbent was renamed Hellbent 2, despite the fact it had been called Hellbent 2 before"? You see my problem.
Presumably, the team decided to just call Hellbent 2 "Hellbent" on the show to avoid confusing viewers who didn't know about the original. Drop Zone mk2 (talk) 15:36, June 21, 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry for my (very) late response, but excellent observation, Drop Zone - certainly didn't notice that until you posted that screenshot. Regarding the post-Robot Wars Hellbent 2, I'm sure that a phrase like 'Hellbent competed at these events as Hellbent 2, the first time in which it was referred to as such in competition' would suffice. - Agreed. Never noticed this before, and I watched Heat G a heck of a lot! TOAST 03:03, July 16, 2017 (UTC)
- I was thinking more along the lines "that because the original Hellbent competed in Techno Games, the version that competed on Robot Wars was referred to as the original" but I'm not at quotes like that. Perhaps something similar to M2, with a section dedicated to the etymology of Hellbent. --WolfwingandSlaveLeia (talk) 08:51, July 16, 2017 (UTC)
