Proposal[]

Looking at the Robot Wars announce forum and seeing the introductions from the first 4 wars gave me ideas. Rather than watch them gather dust in the forum, wouldn't they be better off gathering dust in the article?  STORM II  19:38, November 9, 2012 (UTC)

I am in agreement with this, especially as we have all of Jonathan Pearce's Series 6 predictions. ToastUltimatum 20:10, November 9, 2012 (UTC)
My only reservation is that it would be a really long list, and might not look that good in the article, but I'm happy to have it in if other people want it. Christophee (talk) 21:03, November 9, 2012 (UTC)

Would it be an idea to reconsider moving this? Hogwild94 (talk) 17:52, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

It could be "Stuart McDonald/Introductions". TOAST 18:25, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

International versions[]

Was he director of all the international versions of Robot Wars? If so, they should be listed in the infobox. Christophee (talk) 21:04, November 9, 2012 (UTC)

Probably, but he wasn't the announcer of them all. Stefan Frank I think was the announcer for the US series. In the Dutch and German series McDonald still does the "Roboteers stand by", "3-2-1 Activate" and "Cease" bits but their commentators introduce the robots as they enter the arena and introduce the presenters at the start of each episode. I happened to notice during Episode 1 of the Nickelodeon series that McDonald performed arena announcements over the course of filming for the series itself. Listen carefully during Ninjitsu's post-battle interview, and you can definitely hear his voice in the background as he announces the start of a battle nearby. I also believe that McDonald performed arena announcements during filming of US Season 2 - very likely since both it and the Nickelodeon series were filmed at the same time - but in most cases were dubbed over with the US announcements in post-production. Wonder why they didn't "redub" the "Grand Champions" announcements with Frank's voice (McDonald can still be heard in those episodes)? Maybe they no longer had the original audio tracks to edit? Since there was a two year gap between Series 4 and Grand Champions. StalwartUK 20:34, March 1, 2019 (UTC)
