:I don't believe its a particularly interesting piece of trivia, but I guess my standards are higher and not everyone knows that there's only been one UK wildcard ever. Thor isn't the only finalist to lose its heat - Big Brother did too, though that wasn't a grand final (the distinction is really not important considering that there is no semi-finals in 2016). I think it can probably stay. Previous Robots

Jason Marston just revealed in an interview here> https://soundcloud.com/insidethebot/2nd-august-2016-robot-wars-heat-b-episode-ii-attack-of-the-loner-ft-jason-marston that him and Lee Cornish tried to qualify for Series 4 with a robot called Monkey Nuts and Series 5 with a robot called Dorkus. I've seen a pic of Dorkus on the Team Tornado website but have heard nothing about Monkey Nuts, Is it still worth noting them down in the participation information parts of this article? Liam Bryant (talk) 12:31, August 9, 2016 (UTC)

Wow that is incredibly interesting we have a few pictures of Dorkus on the wiki but Monkey Nuts... I've never heard of. 321Annihilate (talk) 11:48, August 9, 2016 (UTC)
I asked Jason for more info but I never heard back. Depending on how much information we have, an article could be created for each, it seems like we know more about Dorkus, especially if we have pictures. ToastUltimatum 15:00, August 9, 2016 (UTC)

Trivia - clarification please

Just a question - twice, I've added the fact that Thor is the only robot to have reached the UK Grand Final despite losing its heat. First time I missed out "UK" and it was deleted, which I can understand, but I'm not convinced by the current explanation for the deletion, which is that it's "obvious". I'm not sure I buy that - there have 95 UK heats in the history of Robot Wars, and only once has a robot lost its heat and reached the Grand Final. To me, this is a rare enough occurrence to be worthy of note in the trivia section. Note that it's distinct from merely repeating "Thor won the wildcard" - the nature of the format allowed this rare occasion to occur. I would also argue that the comparison with Firestorm is valid: Firestorm did not lose the fight that would take it directly into the GF, Thor did. I'm not going to edit war, but I do feel fairly strongly that this is an interesting enough fact and (at this point in time) a rare enough event to be mentioned. 92.6.237.47 17:14, October 10, 2016 (UTC)

I don't believe its a particularly interesting piece of trivia, but I guess my standards are higher and not everyone knows that there's only been one UK wildcard ever. Thor isn't the only finalist to lose its heat - Big Brother did too, though that wasn't a grand final (the distinction is really not important considering that there is no semi-finals in 2016). I think it can probably stay. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 00:30, October 11, 2016 (UTC)

Team Name in infobox

This is a bit misleading, it looks like Thor changed teams when in reality the name of the team just changed. Does anyone have a suggestion of how we can fix this? Toon Ganondorf (t c) 06:07, September 21, 2019 (UTC)

Given that every robot now has a team section, maybe we can remove the team names from the infoboxes and mention the team name and how it changed in the team section. There are other examples of teams that changed their names over tume; The Pneumatic Fanatics later referred to themselves as Team Steel Avenger, The Trojan Team later introduced themselves as Team Killertron. I get the impression that Team Names were a rather informal thing. Drop Zone mk2 (talk) 06:47, September 21, 2019 (UTC)
I think its fine to leave it in the infobox but we should just note the varied names in the team section. I'm going to take Twisted Metal out. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 06:37, September 22, 2019 (UTC)
