Proof[]
Can I have some proof that Tip-Top tried out? We can't make statements without evidence. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 09:58, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes I can :) http://bran-sgore.tripod.com/index-robot.htm Llamaman201 (talk) 10:51, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
No hyphen[]
As Bigger Brother flipped it out of the arena, you can see the name on the back of Tip Top, without the hyphen. I propose we change the page name. Jimlaad43(talk) 13:19, December 17, 2013 (UTC)
- Removing a hyphen is much more questionable than adding one. If Tip-Top had a hyphen on the stat board, I oppose getting rid of it. If the name on the robot says all, we'd have articles called MaxiMill and Arma drillo. Besides, the only place I can see the robot's name goes across two lines, where a hyphen would stylistically look awkward. ToastUltimatum 15:50, December 17, 2013 (UTC)
- When I get home, I'll check the Robot Wars Magazine, it had Tip(-)Top in it, so I'll see what they said. Jimlaad43(talk) 15:54, December 17, 2013 (UTC)
Reasons for retirement.[]
I was looking on the archived Robot Wars forum, and I found a post from Robin Hoad where he explains the reasons Tip-Top retired after Series 6 and did not enter Series 7. It's a bit long to fit into the article or post here, but it's worth reading. Here is the link. Drop Zone mk2 (talk) 16:45, December 24, 2016 (UTC)
- Good find - that also confirms that there is indeed a hyphen in Tip-Top's name. I'm sure we can abridge it somehow for the article, just say that Tip-Top was too dangerous to compete at most live events, leading to a lack of practice. ToastUltimatum 17:06, December 24, 2016 (UTC)
Successor![]
Well, well I found this of Tip-Top's successor known as Tip Bottom, here's an image of it at a Live Event. Unfortunately there's no information...at all.Diotoir the son of nemesis (talk) 10:49, July 3, 2018 (UTC)
