Weapon classifications? Edit

This robot has that many weapons, but each needs clarification.

  • The flipper - it appears that it doesnt actually act as a flipper, rather, Twister's whole body shifts and the robot is flipped (theoretically). I think it should be classed under Torque reaction, but its a very unusual weapon and I'd like other advice.
  • The spinner - it would seem that it is a face spinner, but is it a drill or a bludgeoner? The weapon carried across to the Series 6 version as well. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 22:53, March 15, 2011 (UTC)
That picture on the main page is actually quite deceptive. What you see there is the flipper in the up position, you can't see the baseplate from that angle. I've uploaded a snapshot of Twister from a different angle, it looks to me like Twister was a pretty standard wedge-flipper design, where did you hear that it was torque-reaction? The spinning weapon had 2 different parts, the tiny spinner would be a drill, and the big disc would be a bludgeoner (although I'm not sure if it should count seeing as its kill-zone was blocked by the support bars) RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. I have been drawing conclusions without checking out the actual robot. Thanks for clearing that up. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 06:42, March 16, 2011 (UTC)

Series 7Edit

Since when did we know that Twister attempted to enter Series 7? Datovidny (talk) 23:03, December 13, 2013 (UTC)

Perhaps the writer got Twisters mixed up? Jimlaad43(talk) 23:27, December 13, 2013 (UTC)

Confused with Pussycat Edit

I've been thinking. This isn't enough to put in the article but I reckon its solid speculation. Until I debunked it, there was a prevailing theory that Pussycat failed to qualify for Series 6. What if people saw Twister in the pits and then when it didn't show up for broadcast, assumed it was Pussycat? I mean, ignoring the weapons choices, even from a relatively close distance you'd be forgiven for assuming it was Pussycat with its blade removed. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 23:44, December 8, 2017 (UTC)

It was probably just people jumping to conclusions online, a la Cobra being listed as a failed to qualify robot for Series 10 yesterday. TOAST 02:07, December 9, 2017 (UTC)
