Not to be confused with The Executioner, which entered BattleBots under the same name.
- "This is our robot The Piecemaker, it has two circular saws that can shred other robots to smithereens!"
- — Hannah Gary
The Piecemaker was a middleweight from California that competed in Nickelodeon Robot Wars, where it competed in the Annihilator. Being significantly lighter than its four heavyweight opponents at just 99lbs (44.9kg), The Piecemaker found itself at an immediate disadvantage, but despite this, finished in a respectable third place.
Team Born2Bot also competed in a Vengeance match against Bunny Attack with loanerbot Hoot.

- — Stefan Frank

The Piecemaker in the arena
The Piecemaker was a small box-shaped robot. By definition, the 99lb machine was classified as a middleweight, although it competed amongst heavyweight robots in battle, with no middleweight competition to take part in. The Piecemaker was armed with two circular saws at the front, which were noticeably larger than its own wheels, requiring The Piecemaker to sit at an upward angle using its large castor wheel at the front in combination with rear two-wheel drive. This also made The Piecemaker invertible and equally capable of running either way up. The Piecemaker was described as being "reliable and strong", but it was particularly slow in battle, lacked pushing power, sometimes veered off-course, and its saws failed to work.

The Piecemaker in the pits
The Piecemaker originally arrived at the studio weighing in at roughly 80lbs, but was bumped up to 99lbs after team captain Scott Gary added two 10lb weights to the top of the robot, providing extra weight to resist lifting weapons and also some extra downforce, though this likely impacted the robot's top speed further.
Etymology[]
The Piecemaker is a play on "peacemaker", a person who resolves conflict, transforming this into "Piecemaker" to suggest its weaponry could 'make pieces' out of the other robots.
The Team[]

The Piecemaker was built by Team Born2Bot from California. Team captain Scott Gary was the builder and driver of The Piecemaker, although he held a silent role throughout Nickelodeon Robot Wars due to the show's focus on the children on each team. As a result, his daughter Hannah Gary was the lead speaker of the team and was also The Piecemaker's weapons operator. Her younger sister Alanna Gary completed the team. Both of the young girls wore green headbands with fluffy decorations.
The team also competed with Hoot in a Vengeance battle against Bunny Attack, continuing the two robots' rivalry from the Annihilator.

- Vivianne Collins: "Hannah, what's your role in today's battle?"
- Hannah Gary: "I'm gonna drift the saws..."
- Vivianne Collins: "OK, and maybe make pieces out of the other robots, well we'll see!"
- — Pre-battle interview with Vivianne Collins
The Piecemaker made its only Robot Wars appearance in the Annihilator, competing at a significant weight disadvantage in comparison to its four opponents; Bunny Attack, Basenji, Hannibal and Techno Trousers.
- "And The Piecemaker decides to go head up against the bunny, at half the weight!"
- — Stefan Frank as The Piecemaker engages with Bunny Attack

The Piecemaker is slammed by Basenji

The Piecemaker is pushed around by Bunny Attack
At the start of the fight, The Piecemaker turned away from its starting position and drifted off into the distance, first seen making contact when it rode up onto Bunny Attack's hammer which had been fired just beforehand. It tried to attack Bunny Attack with its saws, but got caught side on, and was held in place by Bunny Attack. The Piecemaker was hit multiple times by Bunny Attack's slow-moving hammer, although no damage was sustained in the process. When the two separated, Basenji shot under The Piecemaker and drove it all the way into the Disc of Doom trigger, with The Piecemaker shaving a few light sparks off the top of Basenji when its discs made grazing contact. Once it got away, The Piecemaker moved into Techno Trousers, which was hardly mobile at this stage. Although The Piecemaker backed off, seemingly unable to move in a straight line, the larger opponent would soon be counted out. In the meantime, The Piecemaker was attacked by Bunny Attack again while getting stuck on the steam pit. The Piecemaker continued to be pushed around by Bunny Attack while the House Robots attacked the beaten Techno Trousers, but The Piecemaker was already safely through, with 'cease' being called straight after the Floor Flipper threw Techno Trousers into the area The Piecemaker and Bunny Attack were fighting.
- "But the little Piecemaker is actually pretty awesome for a bot, considering it's half the weight!"
- — Stefan Frank at the start of Round 2
Fighting in the second round, The Piecemaker returned to the arena with Bunny Attack, Basenji and Hannibal.

The Piecemaker is hammered by Bunny Attack in the second round

Basenji drives into the Pit whilst The Piecemaker is pushed by Bunny Attack
The Piecemaker slowly approached Bunny Attack and slotted under its fur overcoat using its circular saws, but did little even to the fur exterior and backed away. Bunny Attack then charged back in and caught The Piecemaker side-on with a hammer blow, pushing it onto the lip of an empty CPZ. Whilst Basenji opened the pit, The Piecemaker pressed its discs into the side of Bunny Attack, where it was joined by Hannibal and Basenji attacking from behind, although Bunny Attack still overpowered The Piecemaker and pinned it against the wall. When released, The Piecemaker made its escape, but Bunny Attack quickly caught up and pushed it around the Drop Zone square. However, in a lucky break for The Piecemaker, a collision with Refbot caused Basenji to drive straight into the Pit, suddenly ending the second round with The Piecemaker victorious and through to Round 3.
- Vivianne Collins: "Now Alanna, I wanna know who you wanna win this thing."
- Alanna Gary: "I want, uh... The Piecemaker to win."
- Vivianne Collins: "Of course you do!"
- — The short interview before Round 3
Moving into the third round, The Piecemaker was the underdog against Bunny Attack and Hannibal, although the Bunny Attack team had originally planned to target Hannibal to create an "easier match" against The Piecemaker in the final.
- "Piecemaker gets buried with the saw, and Alanna from Piecemaker hates to see that happen!"
- — Stefan Frank

Dead Metal cuts into The Piecemaker

The Piecemaker is stuck between its foes
At the start of the fight, The Piecemaker slowly turned towards Hannibal, but the heavier Hannibal was easily able to slot its forks under the saws of The Piecemaker and push it across the arena, even with Hannibal running on low battery power. The Piecemaker was pushed into Dead Metal and the House Robot grabbed and cut into it, throwing sparks and propping the robot off the floor briefly. Alanna Gary blocked her eyes as Dead Metal cut into The Piecemaker for a second time, before it trundled away to safety. While The Piecemaker slowly made its escape, Bunny Attack pushed Hannibal around the arena. Bunny Attack continued to do so until its hammer fell off entirely, while Hannibal was pushing The Piecemaker. Despite this, The Piecemaker could not capitalise at all and only tried to follow its opponents around the arena, largely being ignored. The Piecemaker watched on and held its ground while Bunny Attack got stuck on the steam pit, but Shunt freed it allowing Bunny Attack to slam into the side of The Piecemaker and knock it away. The Piecemaker finally made contact with its two foes in the closing stages but mainly ended up sandwiched between the two until time expired on the five-minute bout.
- "And Piecemaker still in it to win it, who is it gonna be? Well it's gonna have to go to a Judges' decision!"
- — Stefan Frank
Having hardly contributed to the battle throughout, The Piecemaker was eliminated in the subsequent Judges' decision, finishing third in the Nickelodeon Annihilator.
- Dave Aizer: "You guys came up a little short but you did advance a few rounds in this competition, how did it feel to advance a few rounds?"
- Hannah Gary: "Good!"
- — Post-battle interview with Dave Aizer

The Piecemaker in its previous form, Lambo

Lambo in battle with Scrub at BattleBots
Before competing on Nickelodeon Robot Wars, The Piecemaker had originally competed in the lightweight division of BattleBots Season 2.0 under its original identity, Lambo. At the time, Lambo was painted gray, weighed less, and used only one circular saw. It performed poorly in its only battle against Scrub, shattering its disc and being overturned by the killsaws, surviving to a Judges' decision only to lose by a 45-0 margin.

Team Born2Bot also competed in the super heavyweight division of Season 2.0 with Drill-O-Dillo, a two-wheel driven red-and-black robot uniquely armed with a rock-crushing drill for a weapon. Its only battle was against Gray Matter, which managed to spear the exposed wheel of Drill-O-Dillo and pull it out for a win by knockout. Team Born2Bot did not compete in any subsequent series of BattleBots.
Trivia[]

Official image of The Piecemaker
- Team Born2Bot were one of three American teams in Nickelodeon Robot Wars who did not compete in either season of Extreme Warriors, alongside Team S.S.S.L. and Team In-Theory.
- Although this was not the first combat robot named The Piecemaker due to The Executioner using this name in its BattleBots campaign, this machine was the first robot named The Piecemaker to appear in a televised battle.
